Yeah so I kinda suck and haven't updated for over a month again. Sorry. You'd think I'd have more time since it's the summer but writer's block has it's own ideas. Sorry and i hope it's not too weird and/or random.
Disclaimer: I'm not Stephenie Meyer. I'm sure that she keeps her deadlines.
BPOV
I kept my neck covered with turtlenecks and scarves for a week and a half. The bruises hadn't hurt, but we'd had to go back to school. I'd used the excuse that I had a cold, which worked with Alice's make-up skills covering any areas that showed and the fact that my throat was sore. Although I'm sure that some people thought that I was covering hickeys or something. Over that week and a half Edward glowered at my neck like it had risen up from hell and tormented him from the beginning of eternity.
"What!?" I finally exploded one day after school when he had caught sight of the slight bruising on my neck again. I'd put my backpack down in the living room of the main Cullen house, where we had been living for the past while. He was sitting on the couch. He'd clenched his teeth and narrowed his eyes at the sight of my neck. He jumped not expecting my outburst. But I was mad. You do not get a pregnant woman mad. "What!"
"Nothing," he said.
"Nothing?" I said incredulously, "Nothing? That's not 'nothing'. If it was 'nothing' you'd stop glowering at my neck every chance you get!" I growled out. He looked mildly indimidated and I internally gave myself a pat on the back.
"I'm not glowering at you, Bella," he said.
"Like hell your not glowering at me! That's all you've been doing that past week! Did I do something to offend you that badly?"
"No!" He exclaimed, sitting up straighter than he had been before. "Why would I be mad at you?" I heard an enormous amount of incredulity in his voice.
"I don't know! That's why I'm asking you!" I yelled at him.
"I'm not mad at you, Bella! I'm mad at everything else."
"You have a funny way of showing it!"
"Bela, I'm not mad at you. I'm just... I'm trying to keep you safe."
"Awesome. You know what? When you decide that keeping me safe doesn't entail glaring at me like I'm satan's spawn, I'll be happy to come back." I grabbed the keys to my truck, which had been neglected as of late, since I'd never had the need to drive it. Crying, I slammed the front door forcefully as I ran out the door., nearly slipping on the rain.
"Bella!" I heard Edward call faintly. I hopped in my truck and drove to Charlie's.
"BELLA!"
! #$%^&*()! #$%^&*()! #$%^&*()
"Dad?" I knocked on the front door, water dripping into my eyes. The door opened.
"Bella?" Charlie asked, eyes wide. "What happened?"
I just shook my head, wiping away a tear, "Can I stay here for a while?"
"Of course, Bells. It's your home too."
I smiled. He got me a towel and told me to dry off.
"Wanna talk about it?" Charlie asked, looking uncomfortable.
I shook my head. "What's on?"
"Football," Charlie answered. I looked at the screen, but I couldn't focus.
"Actually, I'm gonna go up to my room and take a nap, dad."
"Okay Bells."

"What did you just do?" Alice asked, pushing me. She'd run down the stairs just as the door slammed.
"Wait." I told her. She held onto my shirt. "Alice, let me go. I have to stop Bella!"
I struggled free and ran to the front door. "Bella!"
"Bella!" I made it out the door just in time to see her drive away. I was pulled back inside.
"What, Alice?" I yelled spinning around. She put her hand on her hip and glared at me.
"You're being a jerk. Calm down." Alice ordered. "This is your fault. You've spent all week glaring at Bella's neck. You haven't touched her and you've been distant. Of course she thinks your mad at her! What in the name of God is wrong with you?"
"Edward, what the hell?" Emmett came down the stairs.
"Emmett. I-"
"have been a total douche and should get my ass out the door and find Bella? Yeah."
"Actually that-"
"Was not what I was going to say, but is incredibly smart. Emmett, you're a genius. I should totally get you something nice?"
I glared at him for a minute and sighed exasperatedly. Emmett shrunk back a little, looking apologetic.
"She's at Charlie's," Alice piped up, holding out my cars keys. She seemed satisfied with what Emmett had said. I glared at them both for a minute and then grabbed my keys and walked to the garage.
Rosalie was in the garage.
"Fix it," she said from under her car.
"I will," I said, getting into mine.
I drove and thought over my behavior over that past week.
I sighed. I had been a jerk this past week. I had been so focused on my anger towards Victoria that I'd ignored Bella's feelings. How would I make this up to her?
I pulled up in front of her father's house and got out of the car. I knocked on the door and Charlie opened the door.
"Is Bella-"
"In her room upset?" Charlie guessed. What'd the boy do now? "Yes. I don't thinks she wants you here, boy."
"Please let me talk to her," I begged. He didn't move. "I messed up. I don't know how to fix it, but let me apologize. I need five minutes. That's all I need."
Charlie was silent for a moment.
"Well, she's probably not asleep yet. You've got five minutes," he said moving aside.
"Thank you," I said, wasting no time and walking hastily up stairs to her room.
"Bella?" I knocked on her door. She didn't answer. I tried the door. It was locked.
"Bella, sweetie, can you open the door?" I tried again. Worried I listened for her heart beat. Her heart was beating frantically. I breathed in deeply.
The scent of another vampire came through.
"Bella?" I asked, panicking. Charlie came up the stairs.
"Call Carlisle!" I told Charlie hastily.
"Why?"
"Just please!" Charlie pulled out his cellphone and called him
"Tell Edward were on the way" came through the phone. It was Alice.
"Bella, baby? I'm gonna break own the door, okay?"
"No, your not," Charlie protested, hearing my warning.
"Charlie, I'd leave if I were you. For your own safety. Leave." I kicked the door opened and stepped inside, my eyes trained on my Bella and the vampire holding her captive.
"Victoria," I said with my hands raised. She had Bella in a chokehold, her mouth covered tightly. Her eyes looked to me frantically.
"Edward," Victoria greeted.
"Let her go," I begged, taking a step forward.
"You might want to tell that one to put the phone down," Victoria said nodding towards Charlie, who was still there.
"Charlie, leave." I said. "And don't call the police. It won't do any good.
I tensed in realization. Charlie was still there and he was about to find out.
"Victoria," I turned my attention back to her, taking another step forward. "The Volturi won't let this go unnoticed."
"I'll just kill him." Victoria said. "Or change him. After all, what's one human?"
"I must say, " she continued, "I am surprised that this one," she looked down at Bella, "got pregnant. I guess she doesn't need you much if she got knocked up. Is that why you left her?"
I bit my tongue, withholding the truth. Charlie opened his mouth to correct her.
"Don't!" I told him. I turned back to Victoria. "Please, let her go. It's me you want, not her. Bella didn't do anything. Let her go."
"You're right. It is you I want and I'm getting you through her. When she's gone, you'll feel the same pain I felt when you killed James."
Charlie looked rapidly between me and Victoria. Edward killed someone?
"I didn't have choice," I said, taking another step forward and trying to reason with her. "He was going to kill Bella."
"He was my mate! Why did you care so much if your toy got killed?"
I couldn't let her know that I loved Bella. She would try harder to kill her.
I'm sorry, Bella, I thought, I'll make this up to you. I promise. I don't mean it.
"I'm protective of my toys. I'm fond of her."
A tear slid down Bella's cheek.
Victoria laughed hearing my confession. She had no idea I was lying,"Who knows? Maybe you'll be the one to kill her. She does, after all, smell delicious."
Victoria got up, Bella in tow and walked towards the window. Victoria was gripping her arm tightly, her nails digging into her arm. Bella's arm was starting to bleed.
"See you later." Victoria said, just as my family pulled up.
"No" I said as she squeezed Bella's arm tightly, the blood flowed faster onto the floor making her cry out, though her scream was muffled by Victoria's hand.
Victoria jumped out the window and everyone ran after her immediately. Bella collapsed onto the floor, clutching her arm in agony.
"Bella!" I ran to her side immediately. "Charlie, get the first aid kit," I ordered. "Charlie!"
He snapped out of it and ran to the bathroom to get it. He gave it to me and I went to work rapidly, trying to stop the blood that was running down her arm. I took a breath and winced at the burning in my throat, though I had no desire to drink.
"Bella, you know I didn't mean what I said to Victoria right?" I asked her, looking into her eyes, knowing she knew what I was referring to. She didn't respond. "If she knew how much I loved you, she'd be trying harder. Bella, I'm trying to keep you safe. I'm sorry." I kissed her forehead.
"Edward, you shouldn't have said that," Alice scolded, walking through the door.
"Why are you back?" I asked. She should be helping the others go after Victoria.
"She's making spilt decisions. I'm not much help."
"Alice, your a better fighter than most of them. They need you. Our priority right now-"
"-Is Bella." Alice cut me off. "We can get Victoria later. Bella needs help now. You shouldn't have told Victoria that Bella's a pet."
"She doesn't know how much Bella means to me. She thinks Bella is a pet. If she finds out the truth she's going to do much worse."
"That doesn't justify-"
"I'm sorry to interrupt," Charlie cut in, not sounding sorry in the least, "but can somebody explain to me what just happened?"
"Sure, Charlie," Alice answered brightly despite her mood. "Why don't you go downstairs. We'll be there in a minute."
"Bella?" I asked. She looked at me. "I'm sorry. For everything. I've been so focused on your safety that I neglected to treat you as well as you should be treated."
Alice cleared her throat. Not the right time, Edward.
"And as much as I want to give an apology, right now we have a marginally bigger issue."
Alice hit my arm. Get to it. "Bella, what do you want to tell your dad?"
"What are my options?" Bella asked, finally speaking.
"We could assemble a believable story," Alice answered. You say the next option. I don't like this one.
I sighed.
"Or we could tell him the truth."
