Chapter 25: Battle of the Bands Part 1
In a little café somewhere in the 99 Caverns, green mist surrounded the patrons unnoticed. The patrons were too busy arguing with one another about various things that normally they wouldn't have bothered talking about. In an isolated booth, three teenage girls wearing gray jeans and black hoodie were singing beautifully, and the green mist seeped in their red ruby gems, worn on amulets around each girl's neck. When the mist finished seeping in the gems, the girls stopped singing.
The girl with a blizzard blue hair tied into twin pigtails, fair skin, and dark blue eyes, and the second girl with long dark green hair tied into a high ponytail, fair skin, and amber eyes took the hoods of their hoodies off as the blizzard blue-haired girl said, "That was barely worth the effort, Timila. I'm tired of fast food! I need a meal!"
The third girl with long pale orange wavy waist-length hair, fair skin, and light red eyes, obviously Timila, took off her hood and explained, "The energy is these caverns aren't the same as it is in Marinatopia. We can only gain so much power here, Lirit."
"Ugh, I wish we had never been banished to these awful caverns, 99 Caverns!" The blizzard blue-haired girl, obviously Lirit, huffed as she crossed her arms and slunk down her seat.
"Really? I love it here!" Timila said sarcastically, then frowned even more at the two girls that she was stuck with these caverns: The 99 Caverns, wondering what she did to get stuck with her two sisters.
"For realsies?" The dark green-haired girl asked, "'Cause I think these caverns are worst!"
"I think YOU'RE the worst, Wakana!" Lirit replied to dark green-haired girl, Wakana.
"Oh, yeah? Well, I think you are-" Wakana replied.
Timila groaned, commenting, "I'll tell you one thing: being stuck here with you two isn't making these caverns any more bearable."
Suddenly, a blinding flash came from outside, and Timila noticed it. She ran outside, and her sisters followed her. They watched as there was a magenta beam, then an even brighter light as it disappeared. The gem reacted to the light, emitting a small light of its own for a short time, gleaming in the night.
Timila grasped her gem and gasped, asking, "Did you feel that?" She then smiled evilly, saying. "Do you know what that was?" Lirit and Wakana shrugged. Timila explained while gripping Lirit's hoodie, "It's Marinatopia magic!"
"But these caverns don't have Marinatopia magic," Lirit pointed out.
Timila let go Lirit as she said, "Maybe a new magic then. And we're going to use it to make everyone in these pathetic 99 Caverns adore us!" The three teenage girls made a sassy casual pose and smiled evilly in anticipation for their upcoming takeover.
Two weeks had passed after we completed our mission of finding the Ninth Element: the Element of Justice. Now the Element of Justice was kept safe by the Shadow and Light Clans. We were in the Caverna Mall's karaoke as we sang some songs. Khai and I sang very well, while Eli sang a bit funny. Junjie sang in a very elegant way, which made me admiring his voice. Falcon sang in a very cool way, while Roza sang lovely. Pronto sang very awfully! Sonic, Khai's male Slyren, disliked Pronto's awful singing. We had fun singing in karaoke.
Ha-Chan, on the other hand, was taking a nap on Junjie's head. When suddenly, her body started to glow in pale pink. Falcon noticed it and asked, "What's wrong with Ha-Chan?"
Junjie gently picked Ha-Chan up from his head and held her in his palms.
"What is happening to her?" Trixie asked in a worry tone. Before anyone else could ask, the bright light from Ha-Chan blinded us. Once the bright light died down, we looked at Ha-Chan and to our amazement... she changed form again!
Ha-Chan now wore her hair in knotted buns covering her ears with a small amount of hair worn loose, each tucked with a pale pink flower to match those on top of her head. She gained two more strands of hair before her forehead and her wings resembled that of a butterfly. She wore a turquoise top beneath a pale blue blouse lined in white, adorned with three pink flowers. Her skirt resembled a white flower and her shoes gained a single flower and leaf.
We were awed to see Ha-Chan's new form as she grew up! Trixie said, "Oh my gosh! She is even cuter than before!" That made Pronto very jealous of Ha-Chan's cuteness.
"Ha-Chan is her Child Form now," Khai claimed.
Suddenly, Ha-Chan spoke for the first time! She said these words, "Hello! I am Ha-Chan! The Flower Fairy!" Her words shocked us!
Then, Ha-Chan suddenly said, "Pronto is jealous of my cuteness!" That made Pronto very shocked and said, "H-how did you know?!"
Ha-Chan just giggled and said, "Pronto is cute too." This made Pronto feel happy by Ha-Chan's words. Then, Khai noticed three girls entered the karaoke.
The first girl wore an amaranth red midriff shirt, black biker fingerless gloves and black short-jeans with a chain belt. She also wore long dark red high heel boots and a red ruby amulet around her neck.
The second girl wore a blizzard blue casual dress with brown belt around her waist. She also wore a red ruby amulet around her neck and a pair of gold high heel shoes. The third girl wore a green polo shirt, blue mini-skirt, black arm warmers on both of her arms, and white sandals. She also wore a red ruby amulet around her neck.
Oddly, Khai had seen them before. She came up to them and nicely greeted them. The first girl rudely said, "What do you want?" Khai was flinched by her rude tone. "I am sorry to bother you," Khai apologized.
"Whatever," The second girl said in a rude tone.
"What are your names?" Khai asked them.
The third girl said her and the two girls' names, "Timila, Lirit, and Wakana Dazzle. We are sisters and the Dazzling Sirens."
Then, Timila asked Khai, "Why do you want to know our names?"
Khai was about to say something when the Shane Gang and I came up to her. "Are you okay, Khai? I saw the Dazzling Sirens are being rude to you," I asked her.
"I am fine, Wen Jing," Khai replied.
Then, Wakana questioned Eli, "Wait... are you the Protector of the 99 Caverns?"
Eli said yes and Wakana let out an excited tone to meet him. Timila reminded her to stick with the plan they made and Wakana was disappointed. Timila rudely said to Khai, "Don't you dare get in our way."
Pronto then cut in saying, "Hey! Do not be rude to the Princess of Marinatopia!"
The Dazzling Sirens were shocked to hear that! "Pronto! You exposed Khai's identity!" I scolded Pronto. "Oops..." Pronto blurted out sheepishly.
The Dazzling Sirens stared at Khai. "Are you really the Princess of Marinatopia?" they asked her.
"Yes," Khai answered.
Timila mocked her by saying, "Ha! You don't look like a princess to us!"
"That is so rude! She really is a princess!" Trixie shouted at Timila.
"Whatever. Now you excuse us, we are going to sing using the karaoke," Lirit said. The Dazzling Sirens walked pass us and then went up the stage.
The Dazzling Sirens began to sing their song. Trixie took out her camera and began to record.

All the People of Caverna Mall's attentions were caught by the Dazzling Sirens' song. They were mesmerized by their beautiful song.

After the song ended, the People of Caverna Mall went violent and argued each other with no reason! Then, green mist appeared all over and the green mist was absorbed by the Dazzling Sirens' ruby amulets as their powers grew stronger. The Dazzling Sirens smiled evilly, seeing all the People of Caverna Mall arguing as they got off the stage.
"What is going on? And why are they arguing with each other for no reason?" Eli asked, seeing everyone arguing with no reason. There was no way to stop them all. Then, Flare Flamehaze had an idea to calm everyone in Caverna Mall down. She and her bandmates went onto the stage, and then began their song.

The People of Caverna Mall turned their attentions to the Limax Gang's song and they began to calm down.

Then, the Limax Gang changed forms into their Slug Up Forms! Everyone was awed to see their transformation. The Limax Gang continued to sing their special song.

After the song ended, all the People of Caverna Mall cheered, impressed by their magical song while the Dazzling Sirens were disappointed. They left the karaoke while Khai watched them leaving.
Really, I had seen them before. She thought to herself.
After that incident of the Caverna Mall, we were in the Shane Hideout. The Shane Gang and I thought about what happened when the Dazzling Sirens sang their song and caused the People of Caverna Mall to go violent and argue each other with no reason. Khai, on the other hand, was thinking about the Dazzling Sirens.
Really... I had seen them before in one of Marinatopia's historical books. Khai thought.
Her thoughts were snapped out when she heard my voice. "What's wrong, Khai?" I asked her when I noticed her gazing expression on her face.
"Sorry. I had deep thoughts about the Dazzling Sirens. It's like... I have seen them before," Khai said to me.
"Really? Have you met them before?" I asked.
Khai shook her head, meaning that she did not meet them before. "I had seen them in one of Marinatopia's historical books," she told us. She took out her high-tech tablet and searched about the history of the Dazzling Sirens. Then, she found it.
We gathered around to see it. "The Dazzling Sirens are the sirens. They once lived in Marinatopia's Sea Caverns. Their names are Timila, Lirit, and Wakana Dazzle. They are sisters," Khai explained. She showed us the picture of the Dazzling Sirens as mermaids.
"Sirens? I read that from Greek Mythologies," I said. "They used their beautiful voices to lure unexpected sailors to their doom."
"You are right, Wen Jing. Mermaids can lure their preys when they are hypnotized by their song," Khai agreed. "However... the Dazzling Sirens are unlike other mermaids. They can absorb negative energies when people started to go violent and arguing each other when they heard their song."
Her words shocked us, and she added, "When they absorb all the negative energies... their dark magic will grow stronger and their voices as well."
"The Dazzling Sirens must be the Sirens that we encountered at the Caverna Mall's karaoke and they used their song to make all the People of Caverna Mall to go violent and argue each other due to their song," Khai claimed.
"But they are humans," Nate said.
"They were banished by the King of the Sea Caverns for their actions. And the Dazzling Sirens were sent to the 99 Caverns and changed forms as three human teenager girls," Khai explained. "I feared that they will try to take over Slugterra using their song."
That's when I realized something. "We are not affected by the Dazzling Sirens' spell," I said.
"Oh, you're right! But... how?" Eli wondered.
"All of your magical accessories, which my Charmix Slug granted them, are protecting all of you from the Dazzling Sirens' spells. And my magical pendant also protects me too," Khai explained. We were stunned by her words.
"How are we going to stop the Dazzling Sirens before they can take over Slugterra?" Junjie questioned.
That's when Snowy Coldness said, "Uh... how about... we... use... our songs?"
Trixie just said, "Your songs?"
Eli suddenly exclaimed, "That's it! I remember how Flare and her bandmates were able to calm the People of the Caverna Mall down because of their song!"
"The Limax Gang's songs can be an encounter spell," Khai claimed. "That way, the Dazzling Sirens' spells will be broken when they cast the spells on everyone."
Then, the T.V. was on and there was an announcement about a band competition within three days, which would be held in Musical Cavern. Trixie made an idea. She said to Khai if we entered the band competition, the Limax Gang's songs would spread all over Slugterra and would break the Dazzling Sirens' spells from everyone.
"It is a good idea," Khai agreed, "but the Limax Gang needs to have their band practice within three days before the band competition arrives."
We all agreed and tomorrow, the Limax Gang would practice their band in order to defeat the Dazzling Sirens before the band competition arrived within three days.
Meanwhile, with the Dazzling Sirens, Timila, Lirit, and Wakana were talking to each other in Caverna Mall's café.
"The Limax Gang has magic," Timila told them.
"Their song is powerful than ours!" Lirit said.
Wakana said in a worry tone, "What are we going to do?"
Timila was thinking, then she noticed a poster on the café's wall about a band competition coming soon within three days. It would be held in Musical Cavern.
Timila smirked evilly and said to her sisters, "We are going to enter the band competition within three days. And everyone all over Slugterra will adore us." With that, the Dazzling Sirens laughed evilly.
Two days later, and tomorrow would be the band competition. It was sunny today and tomorrow would be the band competition. The Limax Gang were practicing their song so they could enter the band competition and beat the Dazzling Sirens. The Kalt and Chaleur Gangs were also practicing too, with new members.
Baozhu Firecracker was the new member of the Kalt Gang. He wore a pale yellow shirt base layer with a picture of a Hop Rock on the center, dark yellow cardigan, light red/silver bleached jeans, two red wrist bands on both of his wrists, and pale yellow sneakers with red lining. His hair color was yellow with red ombre on the tips of his shoulder-length hair. His skin tone was grayish and he had a pair of brown eyes.
Yanyan Spark was another new member of the Kalt Gang. He wore a light green shirt base layer with a picture of a Grenuke on the center, dark green jacket over his shirt base layer, green bleached jeans, and green cross-training shoes. His hair color was green with light gray streaks all over his neck-length hair. His skin tone was tan and he had a pair of dark brown eyes.
Huohuo Natsuki was also another new member of the Kalt Gang. He wore a red shirt base layer with a picture of a Flaringo on the center, white cardigan over his shirt base layer, scarlet gloves, red and white denim railroad jeans, and red rubber-sole slip-on shoes. His hair color was red with white streaks all over his shoulder-length hair. His skin tone was reddish and had a pair of dark blue eyes.
Bludgeon Dash was the new member of the Chaleur Gang. He wore a red shirt with a picture of a Rammstone on the center, black jeans, blue wrist bands on both of his wrists, and black boots. His hair color was red with tan streaks all over his shoulder-length hair. His skin tone was tan and had a pair of brown eyes.
Stinky Toxic was another new member of the Chaleur Gang. He wore a dark purple base layer shirt with a picture of a Flatulorhinkus on the center, black vest underneath his base layer, light purple fingerless gloves, purple short pants that only reached his knees, and purple mules shoes. His hair color was dark purple with light purple streaks all over his chin-length hair. His skin tone was purple and had a pair of sea green eyes.
Doc Matsuba was also another new member of the Chaleur Gang. He wore an aqua green t-shirt with a picture of a Boon Doc on the center, green jeans, and aqua green shoes. His hair color was aqua green with dark green streaks all over his hair. He had a fringed short hairstyle. His skin tone was aqua green and had a pair of light green eyes. Doc's skin was covered in a glowing aqua green tattoos-like.
Joules Thunderstorm was part of the new member of the Chaleur Gang. He wore a light blue V-neck shirt with a picture of a Tazerling on the center, yellow jacket, light blue damage jeans, and yellow and blue sporty shoes. His hair color was blue with yellow streaks all over his razored spikes hairstyle. His skin tone was blue and had a pair of yellow eyes.
Chiller Blizzard was another part of the new member of the Chaleur Gang. He wore a pure blue shirt with a picture of a Frostcrawler on the center, pale blue damage jeans, and pale blue sneakers. His hair color was pale blue with white streaks all over his short hair. His skin tone was pale blue and he had a pair of purple eyes.
Spinner Mimino was also a part of the new member of the Chaleur Gang. He wore a purple V-neck shirt with a picture of an Arachnet on the center, violet purple jeans with a chain belt, purple fingerless gloves, and violet boots. His hair color was purple with dark violet streaks all over his neck-length hair. His skin tone was purple and he had a pair of light purple eyes.
We watched their practice. Their music and song were very amazing. After their practice, they took a break. Kord was very impressed by their music and song. Suddenly, Roza came out the Shane Hideout and said, "Everyone, come and take a look at the T.V."
"Why, Roza?" Flacon asked her.
"The Dazzling Sirens are in the performance show from the T.V.!" Roza answered.
We rushed to the living room and looked at the T.V., and to our shock, the Dazzling Sirens were in the performing show!
The Dazzling Sirens began to perform their song.

After the song, Timila pulled an evil smirk and let out a maniacal laughter. After the performance show, the Shane Gang, Khai, I, Limax, Kalt, and Chaleur Gangs were now worried as the Dazzling Sirens placed their spells on everyone all over Slugterra!
The next day, it was the day of the band competition. We were in the living room as we talked about the plan to beat the Dazzling Sirens and free everyone from their spells.
Meanwhile, with the Dazzling Sirens, they were preparing for the band competition. Timila was thinking about the Shane Gang, the Limax Gang, and the Princess of Marinatopia.
Wakana came up to her and asked, "What is the matter, Timila?"
"The Shane Gang, the Limax Gang, and the Princess of Marinatopia may stop us and our plans," Timila said.
"Then how do we stop them from ruining our plans?" Lirit asked her. Then, Timila came up with an idea and smirked evilly.
Back at the Shane Hideout, we were about to leave, to enter the band competition to stop the Dazzling Sirens. When the garage's gate was open there was a "Freeze!" shout from a Security Slinger.
We were all shocked to hear that and saw a group of Security Slingers in front of us outside of the Shane Hideout! "What's going on?" Eli questioned them.
Millard Milford came up to the Shane and said, "You and your gang are under arrest!" His words shocked us all! Before we could say and react, all the Security Slingers grabbed us and took our blasters and slugs away! Then, they took us to Stalagmite 17.
After the Security Slingers took us to Stalagmite 17, they locked us up. "What happen to them?" Eli asked, "why they arrested us? We have done nothing wrong!"
"The Security Slingers are completely under the Dazzling Sirens' spell due to their music!" Khai told the Shane.
"We need to get out of here before the Sirens will take over Slugterra and it will be too late..." I said.
