Chapter 24

Molly knew the ball was a trap but she still couldn't keep her heart from beating so fast in her chest it felt like it was about to come out of her chest any second. With the help of Serena she as sat down at one of the tables.

"Serena, what is wrong with Mina? Wasn't she always so cheerful?" Molly asked when she thought she could get the words out.

Serena sat down beside Molly and looked around before putting her hands in her lap. "Molly now is not the time for this for someone could here but come see me tomorrow and we will talk and I will tell you what has happened."

Molly nodded although she wanted to know now she knew it was for you everyone's protection.

"Listen Molly we will watch you but I must address everyone." Serena excuses herself and walks to Seiya and takes his arms and goes to the thrones.

"May I have your attention everyone?" Serena sounded out across the room.

Everyone gathered around the room stopped and turned toward them.

"Sorry about the interruption that has happened at this wonderful occasion to welcome the newest Queen of Earth so let's put this bad scene in the past for the night and enjoy the ball and be merry." Serena waved her hands for the music to pick up again.

"Hello?" Lita called out as she was coming to be at the center of the maze.

"Heeelllooooo toooo yyyyoooouuuu." She heard sounded back with a giggled.

She rounded around the last bush to see a figure sitting in the shadows of the fountain with long black hair holding a rose to their nose.

"Have you ever stopped to smell the roses?" She asked turning her head to look at her.

"Raye!" Lita exclaimed, "Where have you been?"

"Oh, just around." Raye said as she stood into the light and Lita got a good look at her.

"Oh Raye! What happ….." Lita never got to finish her sentence as Raye rushed at her.

Lita's head snapped to the left as Raye landed a punch to her face stumping backwards. "What has gotten into you?" She asked as she got into fighting stance, "A fight is what you want, a fight is what you'll get."

The ball was getting in full swing again and both Serena and Molly were dancing in the middle of the dance floor when in mid swirl Serena saw lighting out in the maze that was behind the gardens she pulled free of Seiya and as quickly as she could she went to the window.

She knew Seiya was hot on her heels but she knew only one person to make lighting like those. "Lita." She whispered.

Seiya lay one hand on her shoulder and leaned in, "Let's go to her, we can sneak out."

Serena didn't reply with words but a nod of her head, and they walked out the best they could without drawing attention to themselves.

"You know why no one wants to be with you Jupiter?" Raye taunted, "I'll tell you why.. it's because you are so strong they are scared they are going to be hurt by you."

Lita had just about the last of this she called on her lighting and hit Raye squared in the chest or flew backwards and didn't move.

"Ahhh!" Serena stumped as she was running she felt as her chest was going to be ripped out.

"Serena what's wrong?" Seiya asked no sooner than he had to catch her from passing out.

"Hello, anyone there?" a lone figure said into the fog.

"Yes, I am here my dear friend and sister." Another lone figure came walking toward the other, "You have called me here and I am here to answer."

"How did I call you?" She asked.

"You are near death right now so we do not have much time, you have been brainwashed to go against your friends and family so you must choose now either be saved and or I really hope you do not choose this, you must die and the next in line will take your place." She explained with a sad note, "Remember you must choose quickly."

"I don't want to die!" She exclaimed to the lady in front of her.

Lita sat holding Raye in her arms crying as she as not woken up and Lita was afraid she may have killed her with her lighting and she didn't ant to lose her best friend and sister.

Molly walked off the dance floor laughing finding Amy looking stricken. "Amy what's wrong?" She asked.

"Serena, Seiya and Lita are not here and I have a bad feeling and I cannot find them anywhere." Amy sat down and put her head in her hand, "Oh Molly I know you have only been at this for just a couple of weeks now but you must realize this happens very often for us over the years." Amy looked up at Molly, "I'm so sorry you have to be dragged into this."

Molly took this time to sit next to Amy and took one of her hands in hers, "Amy although I have not been a scout or Queen for very long I have always kept an eye on all of you to make sure you all are going to be ok in all of your fights I always had a feeling it was you."

Amy looked stricken for she thought they were always careful to keep their cover.

"Serena, my love; come back to me please." Seiya said softly as he held her in his arms.

A light shone brightly on them from above as a lone sprit came down to them. "Do not fit dear one for my daughter will be alright she is helping one dear to her heart to make a discussion that could change both of their futures." She explained.

"She will wake up and come back to me?" Seiya said with a bit of happiness in his voice.

"Yes, she will be fine, just give her time." She Flew closer and touched Serena's Brooch and it changed.

Seiya watched the brooch turn to pure Silver and it now holds two crystals one Silver and one Red in the shape of hearts side by side, there were also little crystals in the symbols and colors of all the other scouts surrounding the two bigger ones.

"Do one thing for me dear one. Tell her that her mother will always love her." And the sprit disappeared for the last time as her energy went into the Serena's brooch to make her stronger.

"Now what is your answer? I must have it now." She asked

She dropped to her bear knees and bowed her head, "And my answer you shall have…."
