Chapter 25

Angela POV

"So these are Charas?"

Jeremie pushed up his glasses as he stared at Oliver, who flew behind Derek and dove into his hood. I pulled him out of the hood and held him in my hand. "Jeremie don't do that. It scares him."

"So Charas are your dreams and desires?" Aelita asked. I nodded as I placed Oliver on the keyboard. "Don't. Touch. Anything." He nodded as he sat down and started to play with his headphones. I leaned against the wall with crossed arms and sighed. "In short, Charas are who you want to be."

"But what were wrong with those eggs we saw?" Yumi asked. "Aren't they Heart's Eggs too?"

"Those were X-Eggs." Derek replied. "They're only created when someone has strong doubts about who they want to be, and their Heart's Egg turns into an X-Egg. The question I have is, why were there so many?"

"I would like to find that out as well." I said to him. "But let's discuss that at a later time."

"Also, what were with those outfits you changed into?" Ulrich asked.

"That's called a Character Transformation." Danielle explained. "How that works is that a Chara merges with its owner and create a more powerful character. It's more powerful than a Chara Change."

"Chara Change?" They all tilted their heads and Ringo smiled. "For example." She said, and my eyes widened. "Chara-"

"Don't you dare!" I grabbed her and slapped a hand over her mouth.

Chara Change!

My eyes widened when I heard Aura yell it out instead. A beret pops on my head and a notepad and pencil appears in my hand. "Observe." She said as I scanned the room, stopping my gaze at Ulrich and Yumi. We both smirked as I scribbled something down on a few pages with a grin on my face. "Finished."

Odd and Derek read a bit of what I wrote and smirked at the two. "You naughty bastards." Odd said to them, having the two give us a look. Ulrich raised an eyebrow before Yumi's eyes widened with a blush. I guess she figured out what I wrote. "Angela."

"That was Aura. But still me." Aura nodded with pride as Odd and Derek read the rest before handing the notebook back to me. "That was. . . . . descriptive." That was the only thing Derek could say about it. "Smutty, yet descriptive."

"You took the words out of my mouth." Odd replied to him. I smiled as Ulrich and Yumi blush harder and turn away. The Chara Change wore off and Aura and I high-five each other. "And what about this one?" Aelita points to Oliver, who hides behind me.

"I'll show that another time." Derek replied. "Just not here." As Jeremie explains what XANA is and how we fight him, I pull Odd away from the group and we head to the elevator. Before I could press the button, Jeremie goes, "And where are you two going?"

We both freeze and turn to him. He crosses his arms and gives us a look before smiling. "Go ahead. You deserve it." We both smile at him before running into the elevator and heading out of the factory.

Derek POV

I watched Angela and that other boy leave and the elevator closes behind them. I turn to the gang. "Tell me. How long have they been dating?"

"About a year now. I think." The one known as Jeremie paused to think. "Yeah it's about a year."

"And based on what you just saw, you can tell how much they love each other." The pink-haired girl said. "Angela said that she met you on the ship."

"Yeah that's right," I replied. "Me and Danielle."

"So, why have you come to France?" The brunette asked me. I sighed in return before explaining our situation.

Angela POV

Odd and I sit on a bench in the park after climbing out of the manhole. "So how was your trip to Japan?" He asked as he held my hand. "Besides you telling me about a boy who tried to flirt with you."

"It was great," I replied to him. "I made some really cool friends, got into the Student Council, which was pretty fun, and helped my friends out with some stuff."

"Do you know any Japanese?"

"Do you have to ask?" I asked him before standing up and kissing his nose. "Aishiteru. That means I love you."(I hope I spelled that right) He smiles at me before kissing my fingers, and I giggle in response. As soon as he cupped one of my cheeks, my eyes widen and I pull back, having him give me a look. "What is it?"

"Odd." I cover my mouth. "You smell like blood." He tenses up and turns away, clenching his fists. I take a step towards him and before he could get away, I grab his left arm and pull down the sleeve, showing a bandage on his wrist. As I pulled on his hoodie, I also saw a bandage around his neck. "What the hell did you do?"

He stayed silent as he turned away, avoiding eye contact. "Odd look at me." He slowly turns his head towards me, but still avoids eye contact. "Why do this?" Right after I said this, he pulls me into a tight hug. "Odd?"

"When I heard about the Campania, I thought you died," He tightens his grip. "And I figured, since you were dead, there wouldn't be a reason for me to live anymore, so-"

"You thought suicide was the only option?" He nods before he pulls back, this time looking at me. "I didn't think you would come back. I wanted us to be together, no matter the cost. The only reason why I tried suicide is because I love you."

I cupped one of his cheeks and sighed. "I understand; I would have done the same for you, but it's a stupid option. Life is too precious to be thrown away like that. God only gave us one life, so we much cherish it until that life ends." I look him straight in the eye. "Promise me you won't try that again. No matter what happens to me, you have to live for both of us."

"But Angela," He squeezes my hand. "My world would be incomplete without you. I would be left to suffer alone if you were to disappear."

"I know the pain of being alone will be unbearable." I replied to him. "But even if we're far away from each other, just remember that I'll always be with you. So please. Promise me you won't try to kill yourself."

He pulls me close and leans in. "I promise."

And then, after months of longing, our lips finally touched.

Me: Wasn't that a cute ending? I know it's been a while since I updated but that's because I was busy with other things involving my personal life. Anyway more cuteness will be in the next chapter, plus some pretty wicked concert shit. So until next time, I'll catch you guys later.
