...Kliefen's Keyship exited out of the slip space portal, coming into quiet space itself... Having made their way on board the ship, Hinson and his men were sneaking quietly over towards a window, where they found an astonishing sight before them... Out here, in the middle of space, Kliefen's Keyship was hovering over one of the Forerunner's most spectacular creations... Installation 00, the Ark itself... And still damaged.
"...A Halo?" Girov spoke.
"The Ark," Hinson said, "We were here before, remember... When the Covenant fell, we helped Chief to kill Casto."
"So what is Kliefen doing here?" Girov asked.
"I don't know," Hinson answered, "Let's find out."
Hinson lead his men into the corridors through the Keyship, and as they walked through the Keyship halls and rooms, they saw that Kliefen had draped Nazi flags and SS imagery all over the walls inside the ship.
As they moved through the corridors, they started seeing many Veil Nazi soldiers patrolling the areas. Hinson and his men readied their guns as they hid behind the walls, then they made their attack.
Hinson and his men fired their guns and shot up a number of Nazis, alerting the enemy forces, who blazed flurries of energy bolts back. Taking cover in different positions, Hinson and his men braved the enemy energy bolts and kept firing gunshots at the Nazis. Hinson shot four enemies, then Girov gunned a few soldiers down, then as Virum shot up a few Nazis, Hinson shot two enemies at the right, then gunned two more soldiers down to the left. Hiller fired and shot several Nazis as McGinely shot a few other soldiers down, then Kimball gunned a few more enemies down as well. Moving up through the ship, more Veil Nazis appeared and relentlessly fired hails of energy bolts at the men, but Hinson fired and shot four Nazis, then Girov shot several more enemies as Hinson then gunned two Nazis down. After dodging more energy bolts fired by the Nazis, Hinson fired shots that nailed four enemies.
Moving up through the ship, Hinson and his men encountered more Nazi soldiers who fired immense energy bolts at the men. Hinson shot two enemies at the right, then gunned two more Nazis down to the left, while Girov shot up several more Nazis and Hiller fired shots that nailed several enemies as well. McGinley shot a few enemies as Kimball gunned a few Nazis down as well, then Virum shot up a few enemy soldiers as well. Hinson kept firing shots that nailed four more enemies, then he and his men moved up, braving past enemy fire thrown their way. Coming to another few corridors, the Nazis fired relentlessly at the men, but Hinson shot two soldiers, then he and his men took cover. Hiller and McGinley fired gunfire that nailed several enemies as Hinson fired and shot four enemies, then as Girov shot a few soldiers, Hinson kept firing and shooting four more enemies. With Hiller firing and shooting several enemies, Hinson gunned two soldiers down, then they moved up.
The men all kept fighting hard through the ship, with Hinson firing gunfire that nailed multiple Nazis that fired at him in corridors and rooms. Coming further through the ship, more Nazis appeared and fired energy bolts at the men, so the men took cover at points and fired gunshots back in a fierce skirmish. While Girov shot several enemies, Hinson fired and shot four Nazis as Virum gunned a few soldiers down, then Hinson fired and shot four more Nazis. Moving up further, Hiller fired shots that nailed several enemies as McGinley shot up several Nazis as well, then Kimball gunned a few enemies down. Hinson shot two soldiers as Girov and Virum shot up several enemies, then Hinson fired and shot four more Nazis, then they moved up. More Nazis appeared and fired on the men, but as Hiller fired shots that nailed several enemies, Hinson shot two Nazis at the right, then gunned two soldiers down to the left.
"Keep fighting, see if there's an outline of the ship." Hinson said.
The men all kept fighting very fiercely and hard through out the ship, braving the enemy energy bolts fired by the Veil Nazis and shooting as many enemies in their way. Moving through the corridors, Hinson shot up four enemies, then Girov gunned a few soldiers down as Virum shot several Nazis as well. Hiller fired and shot several enemies as McGinley shot a few Nazis and Kimball gunned a few enemies down, then Hinson shot two soldiers at his left and then aimed and gunned two other Nazis down to his right. Girov fired and shot several enemies as Hinson fired and shot four more Nazis, then as Hiller fired LMG shots that nailed several Nazis that fired at him, Hinson kept firing and shooting four other Nazis. Moving further through the ship, more Nazis appeared and fired on the men, but as they took cover, Hinson shot two soldiers as Hiller fired and shot several enemies, then Hinson fired shots that nailed four more Nazis as McGinley shot a few soldiers and Kimball gunned a few enemies down.
Hinson kept leading his men further through the ship, fighting more Veil Nazis that fired energy bolts at them on the way. Taking cover, Hinson shot two enemies at his right, then gunned two more soldiers down to his left, while Girov fired and shot a few Nazis. Dodging more energy bolts fired by the Veil Nazis, Hinson fired and shot four more enemies as Hiller fired shots that nailed several Nazis, then Hinson gunned two other soldiers down. Moving up further, Virum shot a few soldiers as Hinson fired and shot four more Nazis in the fierce fighting, then as Girov shot a few other Nazis, Hinson fired shots that nailed four more enemies. McGinley shot several enemies as Kimball gunned a few soldiers down, then Hinson shot two soldiers at his right, then gunned two more Nazis down to his left. The Nazis fired more shots at them, but as Girov and Virum shot a few enemies, Hinson fired and shot four more Nazis.
Getting through a corridor, the men eventually came upon a room, where they found the schematics that detailed the ship. Hinson and Girov looked over the schematics, with Girov pointing out, "Here's the core mainframe, just next to the bridge. We destroy the mainframe, it'll immediately cause a shutdown of the core and destroy the ship."
"Very well," Hinson spoke, "Hiller, McGinley, Kimball, you all remain at the elevator floor and cover us, then wait until we begin our leave... Girov, Virum, you're both with me as we head to the core. We'll set the charges and then activate the portal on the bridge, then all of you follow up to the bridge so we can escape."
With that, Hinson and his men left the schematics room, moving on to get to the elevator and reach the bridge. On the way, more Veil Nazis came in to confront them, leading to more skirmishes in the ship.
Hinson fired and shot four Nazis as Girov gunned several enemies down, then Virum shot up a few other soldiers. Hiller fired shots that nailed several enemies as McGinley shot up several more Nazis and Kimball gunned a few soldiers down, then Hinson fired and shot four more Nazis as Girov shot up a few other enemies, then they all moved up. More Nazi soldiers appeared and blazed energy bolts at the men, but as they took cover at places, Hinson shot two soldiers, then Hiller fired and shot several enemies as Hinson fired gunshots that nailed four more Nazis, then as Girov shot up a few enemies while Hinson gunned two more soldiers down. McGinley shot a few more Nazis as Kimball shot up a few enemies as well, then Hinson fired and shot four other Nazis. As they dodged energy bolts fired by the Veil Nazis, Virum gunned a few enemies down as Girov shot several Nazis, then Hinson fired and shot four enemies, allowing them to move up further through the ship.
As he lead his men through the various corridors and rooms in the Keyship, Hinson encountered more Nazi soldiers who fired energy bolts at him and his men. In response, Hinson shot two soldiers at his right, then as Girov gunned a few soldiers down, Hinson shot two more enemies at his left. Moving up through the corridors, more Nazi soldiers appeared and fired shots at the men, so Hinson fired and shot four enemies as Hiller fired gunfire that nailed several Nazis and Girov shot a few other Veil Nazis. McGinley shot up several enemies as Kimball gunned a few other Nazis down, then as Hinson and Girov fired cover shots, Virum shot up a few soldiers. Moving up through the ship, Hiller fired and shot up several enemies, while Hinson then gunned two other soldiers down. With his men firing cover shots, Girov and Virum shot a few soldiers, then Hinson fired and shot four more Nazis.
The series of battles raged inside the ship as Hinson and his men kept fighting through the corridors and rooms, braving the vast flurries of energy bolts that the Nazis fired on them. Hinson shot two Nazis guarding a room, then they made their way to a corridor, where more Veil Nazis appeared and fired on them. Hinson fired and shot four Nazis as Hiller fired LMG shots that nailed several enemies and Girov gunned a few soldiers down. As Hinson fired and shot four more Nazis, McGinley shot up several enemies as Kimball gunned a few soldiers down, then Hinson shot two soldiers at his right and then aimed and gunned two other Nazis down to his left. Virum shot a few soldiers as Hiller and McGinley fired intense gunfire that nailed several enemies. Braving more enemy energy bolts, Hinson fired and shot four more Nazis while Girov shot several other enemies, then they moved up.
"There's the elevator!" Girov noted.
The men saw the elevator right in the distance, and as soon as they did, they all rushed over towards it, pressing the button on the operational pad which opened up the elevator. While Hiller, McGinley and Kimball stayed behind and guarded the elevator entrance, Hinson, Girov and Virum entered the elevator, activating it and riding it all the way up towards the bridge.
As they rode the elevator, Virum walked over and placed a hand on Hinson's shoulder from behind as he spoke, "...You're sword, I've been trained in using one... I'm the strongest, so I'll handle him if he's there. It'll be easier for you to get into the mainframe room by yourselves."
Taking heed with this, Hinson handed the Sangheili his Energy Sword, and once Virum took hold of it, Hinson took out his shot gun as Girov and Virum wielded their Storm rifles... Then as they rode on the elevator, they eventually stopped once the elevator reached the bridge, opening up for the three of them to enter.
Entering the bridge, Hinson and Girov immediately hid behind a wall while Virum looked around, walking slowly and aiming his gun around the bridge. As he came towards the bridge window, he looked over to his left and saw very interesting looking glass cylindrical containers, and inside of them, even more interesting looking canisters.
Virum then looked over at the window gazing at the Ark that the Keyship hovered over, which Hinson and Girov also gazed at from behind their cover, and seeing that the Ark was still very heavily damaged from the final battle of the Human-Covenant War... That was when Kliefen appeared on a balcony just above Virum... And with the wave of his hand and a confident smile on his face, Kliefen apparently activated the Composer fixed into the Keyship. The Composer beam fired at the heavily damaged Ark... And upon closer inspection, appeared to actually be repairing it.
"...Magnificent." Kliefen spoke, standing on the balcony with his hands on the railing, so Virum aimed his gun at the Nazi officer, but the man simply waved his hand, causing the weapon to fly out of Virum's hands.
"The Composer has many uses, one to convert, even fix," Kliefen said, "...I've discovered how the energy can be used to repair, as the Ark will be... As you see, I will be the new Ecumene... The ultimate being of a master race."
"That war is over," Virum stated, "It ended long ago... Now, give up!"
"Oh, I'm well aware of that, boy," Kliefen stated, "...The Soviets entering my capital, that's all I've had to think about on Genesis for the past six hundred years... But now, our fortunes can be reversed to my favor."
Kliefen pointed towards the canisters in the cylinder cases, causing Virum to demand, "What are they?!"
"Seeds of the Third Reich," Kliefen answered, "...I have researched well into the history of the Forerunners, and now, history is ready to repeat itself... As soon as the Ark wipes out the weak and the inferior, I will plant these seeds of Aryan supremacy, and build a new Reich."
"And for what," Virum stated, "All because of some grudge you've had for six hundred years?"
"It's much bigger than either of us," Kliefen said, "The Fuhrer's vision, now not only being of Earth, but the entire galaxy... A whole galaxy of superior beings, it's spectacular, isn't it?"
"It's mad." Virum stated.
"Ah, the ignorance of skeptics," Kliefen said, "It's basic nature to fear change... But I don't... And maybe you'll feel better for what I have in store for you... Your Sangheili kind has been instrumental to me, so as a reward, I'll bring the Composer over to Sanghelios, and make all of you the personal vanguard of my new galaxy... So you'll all have your 'Great Journey' after all, won't you."
"I don't think so," Virum said, then he took out the Energy Sword Hinson gave him and activated it, "Enough of your tricks, and prove to me how superior you really are!"
"Oh, so you're actually going with the sword," Kliefen said with a slight chuckle, then he jumped down from the balcony to Virum's level, "...I'll have you know that I was the top fencer of my class at Munich."
The Nazi officer then pulled out a Forerunner looking sword with the appearance of a rapier, with a golden blade made of intensely strong Forerunner energy which sparked with electricity.
"Then you should have no problem." Virum stated.
"...Fine, boy," Kliefen said, "Humor me."
Staring down each other, Virum and Kliefen charged one another and they engaged in a fierce sword battle. As that went on, Hinson and Girov hid behind some walls from a top a balcony and watched the sword battle between the Sangheili and the Nazi officer. From there, they eyed the room leading into the core mainframe.
Virum swung his Energy sword, only for Kliefen to use his rapier and easily block each of Virum's thrusts. Virum and Kliefen kept slashing and clashing their blades, with Kliefen very skillfully deflecting Virum's blade with his rapier, then Kliefen made flurries of slashes that Virum desperately swung his blade to block, but Kliefen managed to make a couple of cuts on Virum's arms. Virum and Kliefen kept swinging and clashing swords, each using their blades to block the other's slashes, deflecting the other's attacks while trying to make swings to hit the other. Virum swung his blade numerous times, but Kliefen very skillfully blocked each of Virum's strikes with his rapier.
Kliefen kept battling Virum in the fierce sword fight, and as the Nazi officer kept blocking the Sangheili's sword swings with ease, he swung his rapier and made a few cuts on Virum. As such, Virum kept desperately making slashes to strike his opponent, but Kliefen skillfully deflected each of the multiple slashes with his blade, then Kliefen responded by making several skilled slashes, which Virum mostly blocked, but the Nazi officer managed to make a few cuts on the Sangheili, then Kliefen made numerous slashes at Virum, and though the Sangheili blocked each of the slashes with his blade, he was forced back by Kliefen's powerful and skilled swings.
Kliefen charged at Virum and made multiple slashes, which Virum desperately blocked, then Virum tried to make a volley of slashes of his own, though Kliefen deflected them with ease, then Kliefen kept making slashes.
Kliefen made a strong swing that clashed and locked against Virum's blade, and their swords continued to be locked against each other, with Kliefen using his free hand to grab hold of Virum's wrist as they both began struggling.
While Virum and Kliefen wrestled each other fiercely with their blades locked, Kliefen remarked, "You fight just as arrogantly as a young man, so easy to finish." Kliefen and Virum kept struggling hard, then Kliefen threw his fist into Virum's stomach twice, then they both kept wrestling with their swords locked until they released.
"You should be grateful for what I'm offering," Kliefen said as he stared down Virum, "Your kind has shown strength, resilience, healthy intelligence... And yet you all were consistently passed over by savage brutes. I'm offering you and all Sangheili to achieve the greatness they deserve!"
Having none of it, however, Virum charged at Kliefen, making a strong swing, but with a smirk, Kliefen easily dodged the attack, then made a swing of his own that knocked the energy sword out of Virum's hands, then Kliefen kicked Virum in the back, sending him to the ground.
As Virum looked at his sword on the ground, before he could crawl to it, Kliefen simply stood on the energy sword and aimed his rapier at Virum... but then Kliefen smirked and simply kicked the energy sword over to Virum, with Kliefen stating, "...Again... Another lesson."
Virum picked up and activated the energy sword as he stood back up, then he and Kliefen engaged in more fighting.
As that went on, Hinson and Girov watched the sword fighting as they sneaked past the room and headed to the door, secretly passing through it and entering the corridor. Moving down the corridor, Hinson and Girov entered the room, where they found themselves staring at the core mainframe itself.
"We need to help Kori." Girov said.
"If we hurry, we can." Hinson stated.
Rushing over to the mainframe, Hinson and Girov began taking out the explosive Witness had given them, then they placed the explosive and began activating it, setting a time limit and then finishing up the process.
"All set. Let's regroup with the others and get out of here." Hinson said.
However, that's when Veil Nazi soldiers appeared... Except these ones were different, showing themselves to be an elite version of the Veil Nazi soldier, having enhanced armor and being armed with much more powerful Forerunner modified MG 42 guns, and they made their fearsome ambush on Hinson and Girov... So Hinson took out his CAWS shot gun as Girov brandished his Storm rifle to engage the elite Veil Nazis.
The elite Veil Nazis fired intense hails of very powerful energy shots from their Forerunner modified MG 42 guns, blazing flurries towards Hinson and Girov, who took cover behind walls, then Hinson and Girov fired intense gunshots back at the Nazi storm troopers. Dodging the flurries of MG 42 energy bolts, Hinson and Girov fired gunfire that raked the elite Nazis, the enemy soldiers withstanding more damage than the typical Veil Nazi. However, as they kept firing concentrated shots, Hinson and Girov shot up a few storm troopers. The elite Veil Nazis kept firing powerful MG 42 fire that raked Hinson's and Girov's positions, so Hinson shot an enemy, then Girov gunned a Storm trooper down, then Hinson shot up two more storm troopers. The Nazis kept firing at their positions, so as they dodged the shots, Hinson shot another elite Nazi as Girov gunned a couple soldiers down, then Hinson fired and nailed two more Nazis. While Girov shot up a few enemies, Hinson fired and shot two more Veil Nazis.
The skirmish raged in the mainframe room, with the elite Veil Nazis firing powerful energy shots at Hinson and Girov, and as they dodged the shots, Hinson and Girov fired and shot a few more elite Veil Nazis. Girov fired and shot a Veil Nazi as Hinson shot up a storm trooper, then as they dodged enemy return fire, Hinson gunned a Veil Nazi down, then Girov shot another enemy. The elite Veil Nazis kept raining hails of energy bolts at both men, so Hinson and Girov fired back, raking enemy soldiers while dodging the powerful energy rounds. Hinson fired and shot two more elite Veil Nazis as Girov shot up a couple other elite soldiers. The storm troopers fired immense MG 42 energy fire at them, but as they withstood the shots, Hinson and Girov fired gunfire that shot up the remaining several enemies, clearing the room of resistance.
Girov ran out of ammo in his Storm rifle, so he took out his SRS99 rifle and ran over to take cover behind the wall, aiming his gun at the door for any more enemy soldiers, while Hinson stood by the core mainframe.
...It was at that moment, however, that a much more dangerous sight appeared, for Kliefen walked in through the door and entered the core mainframe room just next to the bridge, having been alerted by the commotion. His rapier was in one hand while his other hand used his Forerunner telekinesis to lift the wounded and tired Virum into the air as he walked on in.
"That's quite enough," Kliefen spoke, "Surrender yourselves, now."
"Or what?!" Hinson demanded, aiming his shot gun at Kliefen.
"I'll crush him, that's what." Kliefen responded, pointing to Virum in his telekinetic grip around the Sangheili's neck.
Hinson kept aiming his gun at Kliefen, the stand off lasting for a moment... However, unbeknownst to Kliefen, Girov remained hidden behind the wall, secretly taking aim at Kliefen with his SRS99 rifle, aiming for the head, then fired several rounds. Alerted, Kliefen dropped Virum, then waved his hand to cause the sniper rounds to disappear.
With Kliefen distracted, despite being weakened, Virum ran over towards Hinson, who got him to cover. Kliefen responded by aiming his rapier and emitting a beam of lighting towards them, just barely missing them.
As Virum remained behind cover, Hinson emerged from cover and fired his shot gun at Kliefen, who kept emitting beams of lightning towards Hinson, leading to Hinson and Kliefen engaging in a showdown.
Girov provided cover shots with his sniper rifle as Hinson blazed shot gun rounds at Kliefen, though the Nazi officer emitted electric beams with his sword, forcing Hinson to take cover. Hinson fired at Kliefen again, but was forced into cover once more as Kliefen fired electric beams back at Hinson with his rapier. Hinson fired shots back, only for Kliefen to blazed electricity back in return, then Hinson dodged to another cover piece as the Nazi officer kept blazing energy beams at the man. However, at that moment, Girov took aim with his sniper rifle and fired a few rounds that distracted Kliefen, allowing Hinson to take aim and shoot at him, appearing to damage him.
The battle still raged as Kliefen kept firing flurries of electricity beams towards Hinson, but Hinson rushed to another cover piece, then he fired shots at Kliefen, who waved his hand to make the shots disappear. Hinson kept firing at Kliefen, but the Nazi officer simply made the rounds disappear with waves from his hand, then Kliefen fired electricity beams back at Hinson, forcing him to another piece of cover. As he dodged another several of Kliefen's beams, Hinson aimed and fired at Kliefen, who kept withstanding the shots, then fired electricity beams at Hinson, forcing him to hide. That was when Girov took aim and shot at Kliefen, distracting him long enough for Hinson to fire shots that damaged Kliefen a little and forced him off, but he immediately came back.
Kliefen made very aggressive and relentless attacks with electricity beams from his rapier, but Hinson dodged the beams and kept blazing shot gun rounds in return, though Kliefen simply made the rounds disappear with the wave of his hand and kept firing electric beams. Hinson fired shots back, then rushed to a piece of cover as Kliefen kept blazing electric beams his way, then Hinson blazed more shot gun rounds at the Nazi officer. Kliefen simply shooed the bullets away like flies and kept blazing energy beams that rained over Hinson's positions. At that moment however, Girov fired shots that distracted Kliefen, letting Hinson fire his shot gun and force Kliefen back.
With that, Hinson tried to rush over towards Virum, but Kliefen got his power back up, then made a slice with his rapier, sending a force of energy that knocked Hinson down, forcing him to start crawling towards Virum.
Girov looked through his scope at Kliefen, but then noticed the core mainframe, eying the explosive charge. From there, Girov saw that the charge's countdown had been damaged by the fight, interrupting the time sequence.
"...Chyort." Girov said to himself.
However, as he looked at the situation, he saw Hinson crawl over towards the injured Virum... While Kliefen stood and towered over them, aiming his rapier, the electricity on the sword charging up to fire on the tired Hinson and Virum... So Girov emerged from his position and rushed at Kliefen from behind.
As soon as he stood over Hinson and Virum, Kliefen raised his electrified sword in order to exact the finishing strike... But that was just when Girov attacked from behind, wrapping his arm around Kliefen's neck and his other arm around the arm holding the rapier. Girov struggled with Kliefen, with Girov shouting, "Eric, get Kori out of here! I'll hold this monster back!"
Hinson stood up and rushed over to Virum, picking him up by his arms, then the two of them began rushing out of the room. Kliefen managed to fend off Girov, releasing himself from his grasp from behind, but as Kliefen turned to face him, Girov charged at Kliefen again, seizing hold of the hilt of Kliefen's rapier as Kliefen still held on.
Girov and Kliefen wrestled each other fiercely over the rapier, both holding onto the hilt of the sword as they struggled in a vicious battle. Hinson watched as Girov kept wrestling with Kliefen over the sword, the two men struggling fiercely and hard for the rapier. While Hinson and Girov made their way to the exit, Girov kept battling Kliefen, wrestling him fiercely over the rapier as they both tried to pull it out of the other's hands. Eventually, after much more vicious wrestling, Girov managed to rush Kliefen down the stairs, causing the Nazi officer to fall down the steps of the core mainframe room to the lower floor, while Girov remained on the upper balcony to check on the explosive charge set on the core mainframe.
At that moment, Hinson and Virum came back to the bridge, where they came upon a control panel, the panel that would allow them to use the key to create the portal and escape. As they came upon the panel, Hiller, McGinley and Kimball came up to the bridge through the elevator, so Hinson proceeded to insert the key, then after pressing a few buttons, a small portal opened up in the bridge.
"...All of you go in," Hinson ordered, "I'll follow."
Hiller, McGinley and Kimball proceeded to enter the portal, disappearing as soon as they entered. Virum stood before the portal, but he stopped as he looked over towards Hinson, who spoke in his communicator to Girov, "Girov, the portal's open, hurry over here."
In the room containing the core mainframe, Girov looked over the explosive, doing his best to try and fix the countdown... But found himself unable to do so, as the process was far too damaged... He then looked over to the floor below him and saw Kliefen beginning to stand back up, and even worse, elite Veil Nazis were beginning to enter the room to confront any remaining opponents... Then Girov looked over and saw Kliefen's Forerunner upgraded Walther P38 just near him, having fallen off of Kliefen when he tumbled down the stairs.
"...Girov," Hinson spoke to Girov over the communicator, "...Vanya?"
Having a grim look, Girov picked up the Walther, then after a moment of solace, Girov answered, "...Eric... I'm... I'm not coming with you this time."
"...What?" Hinson responded.
"...The charge's timer is damaged, I can't fix it," Girov said, "...But... I can trigger it from here."
"No, Vanya," Hinson said, "We're getting out together! I can come get to you, we can solve this!"
"...Eric, I'm surrounded," Girov said, aiming the Walther pistol at the charge on the mainframe, charging up the energy and ready to fire as soon as he released the trigger, all just as numerous elite Veil Nazis surrounded the room and aimed at him, holding their fire as they saw Girov aiming at the explosive, "...You and the others can still get out... But I... I have to to stay."
"God damn it, Vanya, stop!" Hinson shouted.
"I know what you might be thinking," Girov said, keeping the Walther aimed at the charge, "...Just remember... This isn't because I want to die... Not anymore..."
Hinson was frantic as he realized the whole situation in the mainframe room, and Virum noticed this as he walked over to Hinson and placed a hand on his shoulder, while speaking reassuringly, "...Eric."
"...Vanya... I am not leaving you here... I will not." Hinson said, sounding very desperate, a bit angry.
"...I'm glad, Eric," Girov said, "...Glad to have served with all of you... You we're right Eric... You and the others are something I have left... So... I have all of you to protect... Just like you have Davy."
Hinson became much more solemn as he then spoke, "...Vanya... Wait."
"...Get back home, Eric..." Vanya responded.
Hinson stood in disbelief, almost unable to move, but Virum kept a reassuring hand on Hinson's arm and urged him towards portal... The both of them stood before the portal, still taking in the situation... Then after a moment, Hinson and Virum slowly entered the portal, disappearing from the ship.
...Girov could tell the others had left as soon as his communicator transmission went blank... And now he was by himself, he looked at the charge, keeping the Walther pistol trained on it. The Veil Nazis surrounded him completely, aiming their guns at him... But they waited for the command of their leader, for Kliefen used his Forerunner powers to lift himself up from the lower floor and stand on the exact floor as Girov. Once he was on the same floor, Kliefen stood just near Girov, aiming his rapier at him.
"...Looks like you're all alone." Kliefen taunted.
"...I'm not alone," Girov responded, "...I have my comrades, my friends... But you, you'll have nothing."
Kliefen noticed Girov had the Walther charged up, causing Kliefen alarm as he spoke, "What are you doing!?"
"...My ancestor, Grigori, ruined what you had built before," Girov said, "...Now I, Vanya, will finish it off."
With a confident smile, Girov fired the charged energy bolt from the Walther, resulting in a blast that took out the mainframe, and immediately, causing the core to explode... The whole ship was engulfed in massive blast, a flash that enveloped everyone on the ship... Kliefen... Girov... All gone.
