"Danny!" Four shocked voices yelled at once.

Startled, Danny yelped and leaped out of bed, automatically falling into a fighting position. Seeing who it was, he dropped his fists and gasped, "Spiderman, Nova, Tiger, Luke, what are you doing here?"

Glaring at him, White Tiger flexed her claws and growled, "At least you're wearing pants."

"What?"

Snorting with laughter, Nova elbowed Danny jokingly, "Nice one dude!"

Eyes growing wide, he finally understood what they were talking about. They had seen him sleeping next to Angel who only wore a thin nightgown, and he was not wearing a shirt. Blushing furiously, he exclaimed, "No, no! It isn't what it looks like!"

"I've heard that before." White Tiger hissed.

"Seriously Danny," Spiderman frowned, "I thought more of you than this." You've been skipping out on training and not taking your mentoring duties seriously for what? To sleep with this girl?"

Angel mumbled in her sleep and Danny looked over at her in concern. "Hey, come on, let's take this to the other room, I'll explain everything."

Pulling the others out of the room, he closed the door and sat down with a sigh, "I've been keeping secrets from you guys."

"Obviously," Spiderman crossed his arms and frowned.

Blushing, Danny waved his hands at his friends. "I would never treat a girl like we were married when we were not!"

"Then what's going on?" Tiger hussed.

"Do you remember when we were in Alaska and I disappeared?"

"How could we forget?" Luke whispered, eyes filling with tears which he quickly blinked away.

"Yeah, well, when you found me, I'd been gone for a couple weeks. Fury asked me where I had been, how I had managed to survive for so long when I was so injured."

"And you didn't remember because of your concussion." Ava pulled her mask off and spoke in a contemplative voice, giving him a strange look.

"Yeah, well, that was a lie."

Pumping his fist, Sam exclaimed, "Knew it!" Everyone shot irritated looks at him and he fell silent.

"Well," Danny continued, "I do remember, I could never forget. That girl saved my life, she found me bleeding to death in the snow and took care of me until you guys came back."

"But why is she here? Who is she?" Peter asked.

I can't tell them who she is. Danny thought to himself, They would only turn her in to Fury, I can't let that happen. ""She's just a girl who cares too much. Scorpion kidnapped her for helping me, he injected her with a poison that will freeze her from the inside out. Every time she falls asleep, her temperature drops to where she will freeze to death unless someone sleep next to her to keep her warm. The effects will only last another day or two, then I was going to take her back to Alaska."

"Scorpion kidnapped her just for helping you?" Luke raised one eyebrow at his friend

"Yes."

"Thanks for trying to protect me Danny, but I won't be protected by a lie." Everyone jumped up and turned to see Angel standing in the doorway, she had changed into a long, white cotton dress and her eyes shot daggers at the team.

"Angel!" Danny half rose from his seat. "Get out of here!" He hissed, "They are with SHIELD."

The Team gave him shocked, confused glances but Angel shook her head. "I know. I also know that Fury was just as suspicious of you as your team was. He followed them up here."

Leaping up, Danny grabbed her hand, "Hurry! We've got to get out of here!"

"What? What's the matter?" The Team exclaimed.

Shrugging, Angel unfurled her right wing, the one which wasn't bound to her back and the Team gaped at her.

"You're her!" Sam yelled stupidly.

"Danny, she's the one Fury is literally obsessed with finding! How could you hide this from us?" Ava screamed at him, face red.

Wrapping his arms around Angel, Danny whispered, "Because she saved my life. I will protect her, because... I love her."

Everyone, including Angel, stared at him in shock. At that second, someone banged on the door. "Open up!" The voice called, "This is SHIELD!"

"If you care about her, we do too." Spiderman motioned for the rest of the team to surround Danny and Angel, to protect them. Right then, the door burst in and ten SHIELD agent burst in, followed by Fury.

"Team," He nodded at them. "What is going on?" His tone made them understand that it would be dangerous to refuse to cooperate.

When the others looked like they where getting ready to fight, Angel pushed them aside, "No!" She exclaimed, "No more violence!"

When Fury saw her, his eyes filled with rage and he pulled out his gun, pointing it at her. "You! What are you doing here?!"

Folding her hands serenely in front of herself, she smiled sadly, "Hello... Father."

Hahahahaha, yeh, yeh, I know. Star Wars moment ;) DUH DUH DUUUUUUUH! :)
