Here's the next chapter! And the last chapter!

It was my shift to cover Victor. He wouldn't be here much longer, but we couldn't get the resources out to take him away just yet. It gave use more time to question him too. Just the thought of that sick bastard made me want to throttle him. It was early morning, just before school would start. I set off early to avoid all the pupils. It felt wrong still working, all that had happened and Rose still hadn't reported what happened between us. I couldn't face doing it myself and hoped she would. I was still debating whether to go myself, not because of what I had done but because I could no longer control myself around her. Since the spell I couldn't stop thinking about her, she haunted my dreams I even saw her about the corridors every day. Every memory we had ever shared popped up – especially when I was in the gym.

Victor's cell was just round the corner. I raised an eyebrow when I found no guards outside, it was unusual but I assumed they had gone closer to his cell. Just inside the guards had been knocked down; I pulled out my stake and crept round the bend with my brain on high alert. The guards had been beaten to a pulp and their necks punctured with holes dripping with blood. Only the attack of a Strigoi could leave them so savaged.

I half hoped Victor would be inside the cell, but he wasn't. The cell door swung wide. Empty. I ran out the way I had come. I heard screaming and shouting coming from down the hall. The corridors were empty, no guardians for backup.

"Are you insane?" I heard Rose call. The sound of her voice made my arms pump harder, my heart beating ridiculously fast.

As I reached them I saw Rose, collapsed on the floor. She looked worse off that the guard but alive. A girl stood near her, her body hunched and bloody thirsty. I could tell just from her position and pale hands that she was Strigoi. I didn't know how she got in or where she came from; I didn't hesitate as I ran at her. She tried to punch me, so fast, but I was faster. I'd had practice, she was sloppy and new. She was furious and hungry.

We circled, like two male lions ready to fight to the death over a lioness. Or in this case, Roza. She licked her lips, dried blood from the guards still smeared on her hands and face. Her gaze held power. I swung at her and received my fair share of attacks. I pulled out my stake after giving her a strong blow. With a swift movement I followed through and rammed it into her chest. She paused, grabbed my hands and looked at me. She screamed at the contact and dropped back. As she fell I removed the stake. I pushed the stake back into my pocket and went to eyes were on me, she tried to smile but her muscles refused.

"Hey, Comrade." She whispered. "You were right about Strigoi." Her eyes lost contact and began to day dream. She was slowly slipping away. I picked her up in my arms, she was so light. So fragile. Her injuries were bad and the wall was stained red. I ran for the clinic, we could make it. Her lids began to droop.

"Roza. Roza. Open your eyes. Don't go to sleep on me. Not yet." My voice quivered, fearful. I didn't care.

"Was he right?" She asked. I glanced down at her, her eyes squinted as though the sunlight was too bright.

"What do you mean?"

"The spell. Victor said you had to want me…" She took a deep breath unable to complete her sentences. "To care about me… For it to work. Did you? Did you want me?"

"Yes, Roza. I did want you. I still do. I wish… we could be together."

"Then why did you lie to me?"

We reached the clinic; I was too rushed to answer her question. But she wanted to know. "Why did you lie?"

The doctors came as I called out. They could hear the panic in my voice. I could hear footsteps increase in pace.

"Because we can't be together." I replied. I held her tighter, feeling her drift.

"Because of the age thing, right? Because you're my mentor?"

"That's part of it, but also… well, you and I will both be Lissa's guardians someday. I need to protect her at all costs. If a pack of Strigoi comes, I need to throw my body between them and her."

She began to murmur some more, beginning to understand. She was fading more and more.

"No. if I let myself love you, I won't throw myself in front of her. I'll throw myself in front of you." She took a deep breath, if my hand had been on her chest I'm sure her heart would have skipped a beat.

The medical team reached us, they took her from my arms and our conversation was finished.

I stayed the whole time they patched her up. She was out in two days, I sat with her each day, she slept most of them time I was there.

When she was released I continued my research on Shadow Kissed Anna. I finally found what I had been looked for; it confirmed Rose was Shadow Kissed. Not only that, but that Anna had killed herself not long after Vladimir died. She killed herself because of her insanity, because of her bond.

So, it's done! Thank you so much for your reviews. Please review and tell me what you think. I don't know if I should do the rest of the series so review what I should do next! Or another books you'd like me to do a POV of. I'm already in the process of attempting some other books. So that's it! Hope you liked it! :)
