Flinky: And I'm back! Now, this is a record for late updates for me. I'm sorry, but my school started recently, and between homework, clubs, sports, and TF2, I haven't had much time to write.
Red: Hold on. TF2? Really?
Flinky: I have to have a personal life too. Anyways, two reviews to respond to.
Flinky: The first one is from DisneyWriter. I understand that Team Rocket is looking weaker and weaker. I do have some plans to give them more force in the future. Also, when you talked about smaller rebellions, I already knew that that was something that was needed, hence this chapter.
Flinky: Second one from OverlordMiles. Apparently, you really liked the shipping. Thank you.
Red: Is that it? I'm getting bored. It's been a couple weeks since I've last seen some action.
Flinky: Don't get your hopes up. This chapter is different then the other ones so far (except for maybe the Mystery Dungeon thing). That is why I'm not going to include the list of Red's Pokémon.
Red: Ugh... Next chapter then?
Flinky: Maybe.
"Arceus Nate, did you really have to replace my hair gel with Burn Heal? I can't feel anything on my head," a girl with a yellow shirt and strange hair complained.
"Come on Rosa. It was just a joke," a boy, wearing a blue shirt and exercise shorts, defended.
"Can you two keep it down? You've been giving me headache after headache since you joined," said a voice from another room. That shut the two up.
They were in a lounge, in the Rocket-controlled region of Unova. It was shaped like a hexagon, with three hallways branching outwards. From one of the halls, a girl with torn leather jacket and large hair ran through.
"Everyone! Cheren is calling in!"
Everyone started moving. Nate and Rosa hopped onto the couch in front of the large television, followed by the girl who called them over.
"Hilda, are you sure?" Nate asked.
"Of course! I'm not Bianca."
The person who stopped Nate and Rosa's arguing came out of his room, with an orange hat and blue jacket.
"Hilda, are you sure?"
"Come on Hilbert. Nate already asked."
"Okay then…" Hilbert sat down on the couch with the others.
Next came a guy with a blue, spiky afro.
"Hugh! Hurry!" Hilda yelled.
"Fine…"
As everyone was settling down, one more girl came running out of the door.
"Wait! Hold on!"
No one was surprised that the girl was late.
"Bianca," Hugh began. "This is the 27th time you are late. We're getting tired of it."
"Yes! I understand! It will never happen again!"
"That's what you said last time," Nate mumbled. Never the less, everyone was settled on the couch when the TV turned on, revealing a picture of a man with a white collared shirt, red tie, and jeans.
"Cheren! Any news?" Hilbert asked.
"Some good, and a lot of bad," Cheren responded.
"Let's start with the bad," Hilda said.
"The Rockets are suspicious that I'm working with the Unovan Strike Force. They put me under special watch from an Admin."
"Aren't Executives higher than Admins?" Rosa asked.
"I wish. Then I could order him off, but it goes Executives, Admins, then Giovanni. There's nothing I can do, so I won't be able to contact you guys for a while."
"Alright…" everyone said.
"So, there is some other news though. Team Rocket lost their base in Celadon," Cheren said.
"How did they lose it?" Hugh asked.
"Apparently there was a major earthquake in that area."
Bianca thought before saying "Could it be-"
"It's definitely Poké Underground. Just, I don't know how they caused an earthquake of that magnitude." Cheren paused for a moment. "Anyways, their sending in grunts to Chargestone Cave. Think you guys can take it?"
"Of course!" Bianca said. "Hilda, can you come with me to deal with that?"
"Yea, I guess so…"
They left and walked into another hall.
"Okay," Cheren said. "That's all for now. Don't expect to see me again until everything has calmed down about my loyalty."
"Got it," Hilbert said.
The call ended, but was replaced with another one, this time of a lady in her twenties with a labcoat.
"Hey everyone!" she said.
"Professor Juniper, why did you call us?" Hilbert asked.
"I wanted to ask you about something. Have you called Poké Underground yet?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I was curious as to whether or not you're allied with them."
"To our best knowledge, they don't even know we exist, yet. Gold, one of their old members, was supposed to stop us, and know's we're here, but like I said, he doesn't work with them anymore."
"And why is that?" Juniper asked.
"They brainwashed him."
"Ahh… I see."
As that was said a flash of light went through the halls. Hilbert jumped up, with a Pokéball in his hand, slowly approaching the door. When he opened it, he was very surprised.
-Red's POV-
Well, apparently teleporting to a potential rebel friend's front door isn't welcomed. Especially when you bring your whole team. The first person we met sent out an Emboar to attack us.
"Ignite, go!" I yelled.
"Emboar, stop them from entering. Use Rollout!"
"Ignite, fly away and use Flamethrower!"
"Wait, Ignite? I've heard that before…"
"I would think you would have heard the name of the leader of Poké Underground before you recognized my starter's name!" I yelled.
His eyes widened as the realization set in.
"Emboar, stop! They're allies!"
His Emboar stopped trying to hit Ignite with Rollout (not that he hit in the first place).
"I'm so sorry about that, I didn't recognize you. My name is Hilbert."
"I'm Fire-"
"We already know all about you four. Red, Leaf, Blue, and Michael."
"Well, that makes life easier. May we come in?"
"Of course!"
We walked inside the building we were in front of.
"Hey everyone!" Hilbert yelled. "We have guests!"
There were 6 people including Hilbert who were all our age. There was also someone on the TV which seemed like a call.
"Okay," Hilbert began. "From left to right, they're Hilda, Bianca, Nate, Rosa, and Hugh."
"Our turn then. I'm Red," I said.
"Leaf," she said.
"Blue," Blue said, doing some battle pose with a Pokéball out and his other arm behind his back.
"And I'm Michael," he said.
"So you're Poké Underground?" Hugh asked. "I don't believe it. Probably spies. Hilbert, why would you let them in?"
"Hold on a sec," I said. "Does anyone in Team Rocket on a Mew?"
"Are you claiming you have a Mew?"
"Yes I am. Go, Omni!"
I sent out my Mew, and the reaction on Hugh's face was priceless.
"Now that we've established who we are, I wanted to actually talk with you, and potentially form an alliance."
I could see the lady on the screen laughing.
"Who is she by the way?" I asked.
"Professor Juniper is that lady on the wall," the newly identified Professor Juniper said.
"Okay thanks," I said.
"So, what do you mean by alliance?" Hilda asked.
"Just be in communication with each other in case one of us needs backup. Also, imagine how the public would take it."
"You do realize this gives us almost zero benefit. We haven't even attempted to take a city. We were trying to be a shadow," Hugh said.
I could see Michael twitch a bit.
"Why are you not going for it?" Michael asked.
"I'll answer that," Nate said proudly. "We need to become fully prepared before we make any attempt to defeat a city."
"You do realize we once sorta blew up a tower? And it worked fairly well," Leaf said, stunning everyone but us.
"Quite frankly, you're not helping anyone right now. If you want to make a change and overthrow Team Rocket, you have to go aggressive," I summarized.
"Maybe…" Hilda said. "Just, Unova isn't like Kanto. The terrain is a lot worse. Team Rocket can predict where we're going based on where we came from. It's a lot harder to move around. Not to mention Team Plasma…"
"You mean the group led by N?" I asked.
"Who's N?" Hilda asked. "Team Plasma is run by Ghetsis."
"Well, the Team Plasma we know is run by a man named N," Leaf said. "Here's a picture."
She pulled out a picture of N surrounded by grunts. I'm not even going to ask when she took it.
"Hmm… those grunts seem familiar… Oh well."
"So, what do you guys do exactly?"
We kept on talking about plans and tactics that we both used for a couple hours.
-May's POV-
"Ughh… It's already time for Petalburg?" I asked. I REALLY do not want to go there.
"Will you stop complaining?" said Wes. "It's just another city. We've done this before."
"Yea.. just-"
"Guys, May's father is the executive of Petalburg," Brendan said. I mentally thanked him.
"Well… that changes things," Wally said. "Never the less, we still should do it. It's not like we're going to save Petalburg for last."
We kept on walking until Brendan broke the silence.
"So, how are we going to take it? Normally, May would battle, but this is different…"
"No, I'm fine. I can still fight.. even my dad."
"You know, I've been wondering," said Brendan. "How did someone like you come to join us? Given that you had, like, everything."
This may take a while…
"Well," I began. "It started when dad brought me to work once. He let me sit with him inside the tower. He had a lunch break, so he ordered a grunt to watch me while he went into his private area…"
"Hold on," Wes said. "How old were you?"
"About 10. Anyways, I got curious, so, when the grunt wasn't looking, I hid underneath a desk. He panicked and ran out of the room looking for me, leaving me alone. I started wandering the halls, until I came up to a room that read "classified." It had a blood test, but, since my dad was in the system, I got in. I saw some scientists injecting a needle into a small, cute Eevee. I asked what they were doing, and they were surprised to see me. Just then, the Eevee collapsed. I ran up to it despite the labcoats trying to stop me and felt it; there was no pulse. It dawned on me that they killed it…" My eyes started watering. This wasn't exactly my most pleasant memory, after all.
"I asked my dad about it, and he brushed it off. But since that day, I started questioning why they did that, if Team Rocket was so good like my dad said. A couple years later, Gold came and explained what Team Rocket really did. Out of curiosity, I went with him, and decided to join."
"Dang…" Brendan said.
"Well… We're almost there. Maybe you can reunite with him once the city is down?" Wally suggested.
"Why can't we teleport there?" Wes asked.
"I gave Gardevoir to Red so they can go to Unova."
"Fine…"
-Ethan's POV-
"Welcome to the Pokémon Center. Would you like me to heal your Pokémon?"
"Of course," We all said in unison.
"Also, we would like a room," Silver added.
"Alright. How many?"
"2 please," I said.
"Okay. Here are your keys."
We took them and set off. We're currently in Cianwood City, and both us and our Pokémon are exhausted. Even though Silver actually batted the Executive, Lyra and I still had to deal with grunts.
Lyra had one room to herself, while Silver and I shared a room.
I noticed Lyra's face start to go red. I walked up and talked to her.
"What's wrong?"
Her eyes were watering, but not crying. "Well… I'm worried about someone…"
"Who?"
"Kris. We haven't seen her since she was brainwashed… I don't know what happened to her…"
"We'll find her," I said, trying to reassure her.
"Maybe, but, everyone's about halfway through their regions, and none of us has seen any sign of her…"
"Well, like you said, we're only halfway. I'm sure she's around somewhere."
"Maybe… it's just not looking good…"
I looked her in the eyes and said "When has it ever looked good?"
"Huh?"
"We are three teenagers who are bringing a dictatorship to it's knees! They have weapons, men, scientists, and money; while we only have ourselves. And we're winning! The odds have never looked up for us, yet here we are."
"Yea… your right!"
"It's actually you're," I corrected.
"How can you see where the apostrophe is?"
"Red showed me how to break the fourth wall."
"Ahh… I have no clue what your-"
I looked at her.
"You're talking about."
-Dawn's POV-
"Come on slowpokes!"
"Barry, under no circumstances are you EVER visiting a Starbrews again," I said.
"I don't see why there's no good reason I love Starbrews and coffee is AMAZING!"
Sometimes, Barry acts more like a kid then a member of a resistance team. Never the less, we pressed on.
We were heading for Snowpoint city. It wasn't the most convenient choice, but it was isolated, making it difficult for back up to come in for Team Rocket. Of course, it's also difficult for us, hence the reason we're going slow. Barry barely carries anything, so he's sprinting ahead of us in the snow. It's getting annoying.
After the trek, we saw Snowpoint. It seemed good, except for two helicopters flying in. We've dealt with choppers before, but these ones look different then regular rocket ones. One has a yellow "G" while the other has an orange, modified "F". I recognize one as Team Galactic, but I've never heard of the other one.
"Wanna go check it out?" Lucas asked.
"Of course," Barry and I said in unision. We ran off into the city.
-?'s POV-
"Mommy, I'm scared…" said Jovi.
"It'll be okay Jovi, just hang in there. They're just going to come in and investigate the lab. When they don't find us, we can leave," responded her mom, Lily.
"Come on Jovi," I assured. "Cheer up. I heard someone may be coming home today," I said, trying to lift the spirits of the six-year old.
"Yea… I forgot about big brother! He'll save us if they attack!"
"Thanks Rui," Lily said to me.
"No problem."
A few minutes later, we heard a knock on the trapdoor below us. That was the signal from Professor Krane that we were safe.
"So, did they take anything?" Lily asked.
"A small portion of the data on the purifying chamber. We have a backup though."
"Thats good. Let's get back to work."
I took Jovi outside so she doesn't bother the workers at the lab.
"When will brother come?" she asked. It has been a while since Michael visited, so it's no wonder she's eager.
"It's just a chance. Michael and his friends are in Unova, which is closer to here then where he lives."
"Where does he live now?"
"I thought you would have memorized this by now. He's in Kanto, Japan."
"Yea, I forgot."
There was an awkward silence.
"Ohh! Can we go by Dr. Kaminko's house? He's really cool."
I was afraid she would ask. Last time, his assistant battled us. Jovi was lucky she brought her Plusle and Minun. Otherwise, we would have been screwed.
"Maybe we should wait a little while…"
"Come on Rui, she's strong enough." I recognized that voice, and Jovi did too.
"Michael!"
"Hey Jovi. It's been a long time. How have you been?"
"Michael! No Portal references!" said an unfamiliar voice.
"What?" Asked Michael. "Whatever. Anyways, guys, this is Jovi, my little sister."
"And I'm Rui," I added.
The guy dressed in red said "Okay. I'm Red, the guy with the weird hair-"
"Hold on a sec," said the person with a purple/black shirt. "You and Leaf have the weird hair. the only people in the resistance with your type of hairstyle is you, Leaf, Lucas, and Dawn. That's 4 of about 15. You're outnumbered."
"Does that matter right now? Plus, we haven't gone over gen 6 characters yet. They have mostly have standard hair."
"Okay then…"
They noticed my look of confusion.
"Just ignore that for now," said Red. "Anyways, he's Blue, the girl is Leaf, and I believe you already know Michael."
"Of course."
We talked for a while. Apparently Red is the leader of Poké Underground. We are basically harboring a criminal right now. Then again, I'm not exactly on the right side of the law either…
-Michael's POV-
"So Michael…" Rui said.
"Yea?" I responded.
"I want to talk with you about something, preferably alone."
"Okay."
I told the others we would be inside the lab.
We went into Rui's room and shut the door.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Well, I was wondering… I've heard how you've been working to free Kanto…"
"Yea, so?"
"Well, it seems like your friends are fairly strong… so maybe, you could help us out in Orre?"
"Huh?"
"Well, your mom and sister missed you a lot. If you started working here, you could see them a lot more."
"So, you want me to start liberating cities in this region instead of Kanto?"
"Exactly."
"Well… It's not that simple. It's barely possible to do this with four people. I don't know how everyone up in Sinnoh is surviving…"
"Well, we could get Wes over here, and I can join you. That's three for everyone."
"Yea, but there's another issue. Pokémon. You don't have any, and wild Pokémon are unbelievably rare. The only reason we have been able to move forward is that Team Rocket can't train a Pokémon for their life. If we can't either, then we can't win."
"Come on, there's always a way… Isn't that what your dad said?"
I froze. She didn't bring him up, did she?
"Don't talk about my father," I said, sternly.
"But this is exactly what he would want you to do."
"No… My father… he would want me to do whatever option I liked the most. For me, that would be to be with my friends. Red, Leaf, even Blue. They are some of the best people I know. This is both helping people and fun. I wouldn't want to trade it in, even if it meant seeing my family, like, what, one or two more times a year? It's not like I'll be able to come in every month anyways."
"Come on though… You're being selfish."
"Oh really?" I asked. "I beg to differ. I'd say you wanted to be with Wes, and you needed me to do so." That was sorta a bluff, but depending on the reaction, it may be true.
I noticed her look stunned, before covering it up with a nervous laugh.
"Really? You think I'm that shallow?"
"She's lying. She just wants to be with Wes. Sorta a clingy-girlfriend thing,"
That sounds like Red's Mew-
"Hey!"
Sorry, Omni. I don't see a good reason she would lie about this, so that means Rui is lying. I'll also have to ask Red to make sure Omniis able to respect individual minds.
"I know you're lying, so I'm simply going to refuse. All you want is to be with Wes. That is all."
I left the room, leaving behind a baffled Rui.
When I walked outside, I saw a Charizard battling a Manaphy, and my sister watching the fight. Now it's going to take a while to convince her to not go back with us.
-Somewhere in Sinnoh-
The two helicopters touched down in front of an abandon warehouse. Three people came out of both sides. One side was wearing a grey uniform with a green wig, and the other was wearing an orange suit and sunglasses to match.
Following them was the person they were guarding. From the grey side, a man with a trenchcoat carrying the team logo emerged.
On the other side, someone with a brown fur jacket and large orange hair exited. The two men shook hands and walked inside the building.
"Greetings Lysandre."
"Hello Cyrus."
"Now, why have you summoned me here today? You claimed it was of importance, and I do not like to have my time wasted," Cyrus said.
"Calm down," Lysandre said. "I think you may like what I have in mind."
"Then please explain."
"Gladly. One of my admins has encountered one of yours, and discussed our aims. I believe that our goals are very similar."
"Would you please enlighten me on how?"
"Of course. You seek to make a new world, am I correct?"
"Yes."
"Well, we do too."
"So what?"
"I believe it would be best if we were to join forces. We can unite to achieve our shared goals."
"Hmm… Very well. However, should you ever appear to be abusing this agreement, I will not hesitate to attack your team."
"I understand."
They then proceeded to discuss what each group could bring to the table.
Flinky: Alright. I honestly don't know how I did in this chapter. There's Unova, Hoenn, Orre, Sinnoh, and Team Plasma/Flare. Also, I have some pretty good ideas for how to go about the rest of the story.
Red: So your writer's block is over?
Flinky: Yep. Of course, I'm still busy from schoolwork and all, so I'll still need about two weeks before my next update. Flinky, signing off.
