Lilly: Hello, everyone! God, it's been so long, hasn't it? Good news is, we're still here, even Cody now that he's back from basic training! *giggles as she kisses his cheek*
Cody: *chuckling* Yep, I'm back! Now, before you say anything, it didn't work out...I didn't graduate. Instead, I got a medical discharge for a leg injury. I fell during a run and injured my knee. It's getting better, but I couldn't continue training and got discharged. That happened in week 8, so I was there for the graduation and everything, just didn't take part. It's alright; I tried it, but it just didn't work. I'm not upset a lot over it, so don't worry about me. The military hasn't seen the last of me...
Lilly: Oh, got that right! But, god...When he came home in his uniform...Talk about set a fire between your legs! I think I came into heat just from that! *giggling more*
Cody: That's something we should probably keep between ourselves, love...*chuckles and kisses her*
Lilly: *purring* Okay, okay, just saying, though. Enough of our rambling, you all enjoy what you've been waiting for!
"So, let me get this straight….Winston is your brother? Our pack leader is YOUR brother, and you're from the Northern Pack?" Humphrey asked the elder wolf that walked alongside him, whose name was Nicholas. He nodded and said "That's right. We were seperated at birth. Our parents split up and my father took me to the Northern Pack while Winston and our mother stayed in the Western Pack."
"Wow….He never said anything about having a brother….Now that I think about it, he's never really said ANYTHING about his family. You know, other than his mate and daughters." Humphrey said with a chuckle. Nicholas smiled and said "And here you come along nearly ten years later to become an Alpha so you can be with one of the said daughters. A rather interesting turn of events, actually."
"Yeah, I guess it is! Have you ever met any of them?" Humphrey asked. He shook his head and said "Can't say I have, but I do visit Winston near the border from time to time. He talks about them every time, so I feel like I really do know them, just not in the flesh." Humphrey nodded, and then suddenly stopped, asking "Were you honest about what you said?"
Nicholas stopped too and turned to him, asking "What about, son?" Humphrey looked down for a moment before saying "About him letting Kate go early. Please, don't be toying with me on that…." He chuckled and rolled his eyes, saying "Yes, Humphrey, I was quite serious. If for some reason she doesn't show up in the next day or two, something must've happened. Winston would not really keep her behind from the one she loves so much for so long."
Humphrey smiled again and nodded, continuing to walk as he said "Good, I appreciate it. I'll be able to sleep better knowing she's on her way…." Nicholas chuckled again and asked "You've fallen hard for her, haven't you?" Humphrey quickly nodded and said "For as long as I can remember that I've known her. We met as pups before she went to Alpha School and for me, it was love at first sight."
"So, how did you two finally come together, if you don't mind me asking?" Nicholas asked. Humphrey smiled and said "Of course I don't mind. It was one night at a Moonlight Howl not too long ago. We both had dates, but I was only able to take so much and I got away from there. I was getting some water when I heard her coming my direction, but she just ran past me into the woods. I followed her and found her crying to herself, so I went up to see if she was okay. She got stood up for another girl and just took off the same way I did. We talked for a few minutes and then she kissed my cheek….Then we started kissing more. That was when I confessed how I felt to her."
"Sounds like it turned into a good night! What'd Winston and Eve have to say about it?" He asked with a chuckle, causing Humphrey to as well. "I'm sure you can imagine….It was more Eve who I was afraid of." Humphrey said, smiling. Nicholas nodded and said "I believe you! We've had a couple run-in's and I was sure I was a dead wolf…."
"Yep, that sounds like Eve! But, she got a lot nicer as time went on. I suppose it also helped that I was a family friend since I was a pup, too….Then again, I went from a friend to their son-in-law." Humphrey chuckled, shaking his head a little. "Well, you know….Sometimes the best mate is the one that's known you all their life. They know everything about you; What you like and what you don't, your personality….It works out the best." Nicholas said as they walked along a pathway that circled the Alpha School grounds.
"True, can't argue there. I gotta admit, my life's been great so far and now that Kate and I are married, I can't see anything but it getting better!" Humphrey confidently said, his tail wagging. Nicholas slowly nodded with a smile, asking "Any plans for a family of your own at some point?" Humphrey nodded and said "Soon, actually. To be honest, we're planning on Kate to come into heat around the middle to end of Alpha School, so….That's when we'll try."
"Oh, okay then. You know, one rule of school is nothing sexual between students….But, since Kate's not a student anymore, I guess that doesn't apply in the situation." Nicholas chuckled. Humphrey slightly blushed, but said "Good to know! She wants to start a family more than anything and so do I."
"Then there should be nothing stopping you both from achieving that dream. I personally wish you the best of luck!" Nicholas said with a smile. Humphrey smiled again too and said "Thank you! I know Kate would be happy to hear that, too!" Nicholas chuckled as they kept walking, soon arriving back at the school grounds.
"Well, you should go get your den assignment and meet the teachers. I'm sure there's a few that're anxious to meet you." Nicholas said and Humphrey nodded as he walked off to a group of adult wolves grouped together in a circle like they were having a meeting. Humphrey walked over to the wolf he was told was in charge of the dens so he could find out which one would be his and Kate's.
He walked up to him just as he finished with a couple of the younger pups there, looking up to see Humphrey coming up to him. He smiled a bit and said "Let me take a shot….Humphrey, correct?" Humphrey smiled and nodded, saying "Yes, sir, that's me." He chuckled and said "Don't call me "sir"...Stock will do just fine." Humphrey nodded again and then Stock said "You'll be in den B13, adult side. Shared with who I'm assuming will be your mate, right?"
"Yep. She should be here within a couple days." Humphrey said. He nodded and said "Good. Go find it so you know where it is, and then go meet your teachers across the lake by the training areas. Good luck in Alpha School, son." Humphrey smiled again and nodded before walking off to where the adult's dens were located, walking along them and looking at the identifiers someone had carved into the sides of each one.
It took a couple minutes of walking, but soon came upon it, saying to himself "B10, B11, B12….Here we go!" He walked in and looked around, rather impressed by the size! "Clearly it's meant for someone with a family…." He chuckled to himself, looking outside and making a mental note of where it was in relation to the surrounding area.
Back at home, Kate was stirring awake from her nap, slowly opening her eyes to see it was still early in the afternoon. She stretched out and sat up with a yawn, looking around in her and Humphrey's den. She let out a small sad sigh as she thought about him being gone again, but that quickly went away when she thought about their plans now.
She looked around the den and in her mind, she visualized pups running around and playing, her and Humphrey taking care of them….Everything she could think of that had to do with having pups. "I can't wait…." She happily sighed, turning back to the entrance of the den to see her mother coming her direction.
She waited until she was closer before saying "Hi, Mom! What brings you by?" Eve smiled as she walked over and said "Just came by to see how you were doing. Lilly said you came here to relax." Kate forced herself not to blush and nodded, saying "Yeah, I decided to take a little nap. Everything okay?"
"Yeah, of course! There IS something I'd like to talk to you about, though….Remember what you said to me about you and Humphrey during Alpha School?" Eve asked and Kate instantly knew what she meant. She kept calm and nodded, saying "I remember, and I'm still planning on it. Something wrong?"
"Well, it's….I don't know….Your father and I did that, but it was just so weird. I was so nervous and embarrassed, I just couldn't have an orgasm….I don't want you to do something so awkward for you both. I know we regreted it at time, but if we hadn't, you and Lilly may not have been conceived." Eve said, her cheeks flushed.
Kate smiled a little and moved closer to her mother, saying "It'll be alright, Mom, trust me. We'll only do it if he's okay with it, too. There's no promise it will happen, after all….It's just that I'm ready to be pregnant and I also want to help the pups at the same time. Sure, there's probably better ways, but they'll be at that part when it's time to learn about sex. Humphrey's the most passionate and loving wolf I've ever known….Even more so when it comes to mating. I know he wouldn't go crazy and make it a bad experience for them."
Eve looked up at her and smiled again, saying "If you still want to do it when the time comes, then I'll be okay with it. A piece of advice, though….Try not to think about the fact you'll have a hundred or so pups watching. That was my problem…." Kate giggled and nodded, saying "Noted."
Eve let out an amused sigh and stood up, saying "Well, I'm gonna go for a good bath. Any idea what you'll be doing today?" Kate shrugged and said "I was thinking about seeing if Lilly and Cody wouldn't mind if I hung out with them today."
"Oh, okay. I'm sure they'd love that!" Eve said with a smile. Kate smiled too and said "Hopefully! I'm gonna go find them now. I think she said they'd be at the river today." Eve nodded and said "Okay, honey. I'll walk with you over there." With that, they both left the den, walking together toward the river and talking as they walked.
Meanwhile at the river, Lilly and Cody were sitting on the bank together, having a rather serious discussion. They were just talking amongst themselves when Lilly started to bring up pups again, something they'd talked about many times without being able to come to a good idea of what to do. Truthfully, they both really want it, but the hard part is deciding HOW to do it.
"The best chance for you to be able to conceive would be to mate with another wolf….But, we both know how we feel about that…." Cody chuckled as he was rubbing her neck. She was quietly purring to herself and nodded, saying "I know, and you know I won't do that. While I'd know the reason behind it, it'd still be cheating on you, no matter how you see it."
"Well, there's still the idea of me going into town and getting that stuff I told you about. I think that'd be the best way, but I'd be gone for a few days. We'd have to plan it just right so that it's right as you're in that part of your heat for it to have the best chance." He said. She smiled a little and looked up at him, saying "And you know I like the idea, but there's always one important detail….By that time, I'll be going crazy with the need to mate! If you're not here when that happens, I don't know what could happen…."
He leaned down and kissed her nose, causing her to purr more as he said "I know, I've been trying to think of some way to deal with that. I think I have an idea, but….It'd be risky," She sat up a little and asked "What do you mean?" He pulled her in a little tighter and said "Well….I'd go into town to get what I need a little early so I'm here when you come into heat. The problem would be the sperm from the wolf I get might go bad before it's that time for you."
"By go bad, you mean it wouldn't work anymore?" She curiously asked. He nodded and said "And possibly make you really sick or worse." She slowly nodded and said "Good point….So, it would be one of two choices. Either A, we take the chance with that or B, I risk losing control of myself while you're gone."
"Right. Personally, I'd be a lot more comfortable with B. I know what would possibly happen, but at least you'd most likely concieve from it." He said, weakly smiling. She was too and said "But, that's my problem with it….It wouldn't be you that gets me pregnant. At least with what you were talking about, I can forget the fact it came from another wolf, not to mention it'd feel more like it really is yours. If I get mated, I'd never be able to forget it."
"So, what would you rather do? Whatever you decide, I'll be more than happy with, trust me." He said, rubbing her side. She let out a long sigh and thought for a moment before saying "Well….As surprising as it may be, I choose A. I know I can find ways to relieve my needs while you're gone. I'm sure Mom and Dad would let me stay there so nothing bad happens. Problem with that is Mom should be coming into heat at the same time….Along with Kate."
"If you're sure that's what you'd prefer to do, then I promise I won't be gone any longer than a few days at most." He said, kissing her again. She returned it and said "You better keep that promise. And trust me, when you get back, you won't be able to get me off to save your life…." They shared a laugh before he said "Deal, and I'll hold you to that, too! I expect a little tail, so to speak…."
She laughed even more and said "Oh, shut up….One more thing we'll need to figure out, too. If I do end up becoming pregnant, where are we gonna take care of them?" He chuckled and said "Depending on how your parents feel, I figured my cabin would be the best place. Winter's almost here and we definitely don't want them getting too cold. Don't need to stay here 24/7, of course."
"That sounds like a good plan to me!" She said with a smile, her tail wagging a little. He chuckled again and right about then, they started to hear Kate and Eve approaching, hearing them laughing amongst themselves. They walked through the treeline and Lilly immediately smiled more, saying "Hi, guys!"
They looked over at her and Eve smiled, saying "Hey, you two! We figured you'd be here….What's goin' on?" Lilly and Cody shrugged and he said "Not much, just relaxing and talking. How about you two?" Kate smiled and said "Well, Mom said she came here to wash up, but I was actually looking for you both. Mind if I hang out with you today?"
"Of course! If you'd like to, I was thinking we could head up to his cabin to relax for a while." Lilly said, smiling up at Cody, who nodded and said "Sounds good to me!" Kate giggled a little and said "Well, count me in! Is it okay with you, Mom?" Eve quickly nodded and said "Of course it is, honey! You go have some fun with them, you need it."
Kate smiled more and hugged her mother, saying "Thanks, Mom! I'll see you and Dad after while!" Eve smiled at her as she walked over to Lilly and Cody as they were getting up, Cody saying "Well, shall we then? It's a good twenty minute walk there."
