Katniss's POV
When we get to Steak 'n Shake we walk in and the waitress seats us and we order
"Katniss, did you just order three milkshakes just for yourself?" Peeta asks
"Yep." I say not really paying attention
I'm looking at the girl that is sitting a few tables down from us with a guy, I think I know her, she has long blond hair and emerald green eyes, she looks like she's my age, but she also looks like she's five months pregnant
"Katniss, you know you go bat shit crazy when your on a sugar high." Peeta says
"Yep." I say still not paying attention
'Holy shit I think that's Glimmer' I think to myself, I nudge Cato, who is sitting next to me, with my elbow.
"Is that Glimmer?" I ask pointing to her
"I think, and isn't that Thresh next to her." He says
Glimmer looks over at us, then smirks and walks over to our table, 'how the fuck do you walk in five inch heels while your pregnant' I think to myself
"Hi, Catpiss." Glimmer says
"Hi, Glitter, who knocked you up? Thresh. Wow I feel sorry for that child already." I say taking a sip of my water
"No, Cato did, he didn't tell you?" Glimmer says
I spit the water that I just took a sip of out of my mouth and it lands on Peeta
"Katniss, I did not need the shower." Peeta says, trying to wipe the water off him with a napkin
"What!" I yell and look at Cato, who is trying to sit as far away from me as possible
"Just because I'm nice I'm going to let you explain before I fucking punch you." I say to Cato
"I was drunk and things happened, I'm sorry, I love you not her." He says
"I really don't care that you got her pregnant, I care that you lied and said that you didn't know who got her pregnant." I say
I take my water and dump it on his head and take off the promise ring he gave me and throw it at him and grab Peeta by the shirt and drag him to the door, before I leave I see our waitress staring at me like I'm crazy I flip her off and walk out the door, dragging Peeta with me.
"You okay ?" Peeta asks when we're in the car
"I'm fine, this is the reason I hate love." I say
"Everything will be fine, you'll survive you always do, Katniss." Peeta says
"I know." I say and start to drive to my house
When I get to the door it is wide open and the glass in it is broken, I walk in and see Prim laying on the kitchen floor covered in blood, cuts and bruises, I run over to her
"Prim, what happened!" I yell
"Someone broke in." She says
"Come on, Prim, let's get you to the hospital." I say and go to pick her up
"It's too late." She says
"No, it isn't." I say
"Katniss no matter what happens stay strong, and follow your dreams, I love you." She says
Then she stops breathing. I see a piece of paper on the floor, I grab it and I read it:
