Another chapter! I'm hoping to have this story finished by the end of the month of April. It's a lot to do, but I think it could be manageable. Just need to keep myself accountable and make sure that I update as often as I can. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts, and if you have a story you would like me to read, please feel free to tell me, I would love to add it to my list.

Gale's Point of View

Before my head is in focus my legs have already moved. I head straight towards the wooden structure in the middle which holds all of the supplies that could be needed. I notice a small amount of knives and a backpack close to where I am. I could easily reach it and still have the opportunity to reach Prim. I glance around and notice that Prim is racing towards the small gathering of trees which I had pointed at her to go to. Looking briefly around a couldn't see Trinity anywhere. As I reached the backpack the first gong had already been signalled, stating that someone had already lost their life to the Games. I quickly grabbed the backpack, turning around and sprinting towards the trees that Prim had headed towards.

I thud landed on top of me, as I saw the male tribute from eight who had ran straight into me. As soon as he recognized me, he pulled at the knife that he had been able to snatch from the supplies. Swiping it in my direction, I was able to throw myself back before he could make contact with my skin. He jumped quickly onto his feet, getting ready to throw the knife at me, I tried to move, but noticed that he was standing on the rope attached to my bag. In brief moment of fear, I turned away from him, as he aimed his knife towards me. After a second before he had aimed I turned to see his face pained, falling towards me still clutching the knife, as I looked at his back I could see a small axe sticking out of it. His gong quickly sounded. Staring out at the person who aimed it at me, I saw Trinity glaring back at me. For a small second, I saw her holding onto her next axe aiming towards me. She had the perfect shot, I never moved only staring directly back at her.

She turned around, and headed away from me. I sat on the ground, before another gong went off and I quickly remembered where I was, and scrambled to my feet. Running towards the small gathering of trees. I ran and ran before I could no longer hear the screams and shouts of the bloodbath. Every few minutes another gong went off. After the fifth gong had blasted a finally stopped running. Turning around, and looking for any sign of Prim. Had a ran past her hiding spot. This part I had not thought through, where would she be hiding?

Shrugging the backpack of me, I opened it to look at the content in the bag. A small bottle half filled with water, some bandages, and one set of gloves. Putting everything back in the bag, and holding onto one of the knives tightly in my hand, I head off to find Prim. Heading back the way I came, trying my hardest to be on the look out for Prim. As I walk through the woods, I think back to the look that Trinity gave me, when she realised that it was me, she actually hesitated, she let me go. She could have killed me there and then, never have to see or deal with me again but she let me live. Am I meant to ignore that fact, does it mean something? I feel like a girl with completely over thinking about this, but I feel like I have every right to overthink about the time that a killing woman, decided to spare me.

I feel like I have been walking around for hours, I'm not sure if it is the actual hours passed, or if it is the Gamekeepers, but I continue searching for Prim. As it gets later, I can't help but feel the hunger kicking in from not having the usual food provided by the Capital. I'm use to going hungry and I continue my search. Making my way towards the bloodbath once again, I start to panic. Prim is no where to be found. Was she one of the gongs that went off during the day? Has she been killed while I was away, or as I ran through the trees? Had a completely passed her as I travelled through the woods?

Panic started to flood me as I continued to travel through the woods, I had promised Katniss I would look after her sister, and already even before the end of the first day I couldn't find her. Searching through the woods, before finally stopping at one of the trees, to catch my breath. It was very clearly the end of the day as the sun had disappeared and the fake moon and stars appeared. The Panem symbol light up the sky. Standing beside this tree, I silently wished that with all my life that Prim would still be alive. The first tribute to appear was from District Three. Trinity was still safe. The female tribute from three, the male tribute from four, both tributes from five, male tribute from six, female tribute from seven, the male tribute of eight whom Trinity had killed, both tributes from nine, and the male tribute from eleven. Finally the illumination finished and the sky was once again dark and in silence. Prim was still alive as was Trinity. Ten tributes however, had lost their life today. It seemed like a big number for the first day, and most of them seemed to have been killed during the bloodbath. I assumed many of the kills had been due to Trinity. I however, had managed to get myself from being another gong, and another face in the darkness.

Even though it was dark, I knew that Prim would have the sense to get herself safe off the ground, and stay hidden until I found her. I knew there had been times that she had gone hungry and tonight would be another night of hunger for her. I wondered about my mother, what time was it with her, was it the middle of the night, was she putting the others into bed? Had she had something to eat? I know Mrs Everdeen would share her food with them, with Prim and Katniss no longer at home she had plenty of food and money to share. Katniss had sent all of her winning to her family, and they had readily shared with my family, something that I wasn't so keen on at the beginning, but as I sit in one of the trees in the Games alone, I am glad to know that their bellies do not go empty tonight.

Allowing my eyes to close over I feel my mind start to flash back to the image of Trinity from earlier today. She had allowed me to go free, did this mean that she felt something for me. Did she understand this feeling that I had for her? Did she have that unsure, unknowing feeling inside of her as well when she saw me, just as I did? I dreamt that night of Trinity, just simply hearing her voice, and being able to be close to her. My dream felt like it went on for days, just sitting in her presence as she talked, most of it I didn't remember but the peace of sitting with her was enough to keep me asleep for the whole night.

Prim's Point of View

I travelled further into the woods than I should have, but the fear I had felt as I heard the gongs and the screams from those around me had caused me to run further into the woods than I should have. I finally stopped when I had come across a small waterfall at the edge of the arena. Even before I checked the water I had drank in it's freshness.I sat on the ground, allowing my legs to take a break after the run through the woods. I got up quickly, and started to head back into the trees. As I strolled along amongst the trees, collecting different berries, checking them for bruising. Many of them were suitable to eat, but a few of them being poisonous to eat, I throw away making sure that I wouldn't mistake them. Saving a few for later to make sure that I would have enough, and especially if I meet Gale later that night.

As I walked slowly around the trees making sure to keep my feet light, trying to make as little noise as possible. It was getting darker and darker until finally the sun had disappeared. As I watched the announcement of whole had been killed that day, I felt a tear slide down my cheek It wouldn't be long till my own face would be up on that board. Gale had yet to find me, I was scared about what would happen. It would be impossible for Gale to find me now. It would have to wait until morning before we would hopefully be able to meet. I knew the importance of getting up off the ground before the Careers would start their hunting for tributes late into the night. I wasn't the strongest but I tried my hardest to get up as high as I could.

As I climbed up the tree, I could hear faint footsteps heading my way, I refused to move from my position in the tree. It felt like forever, until figures appeared underneath the trees. On closer inspection it was clear to see that it was both of the tributes from One. They were talking amongst themselves about the events of the day. It was hard to make out what they were saying. I held my breath as they walked underneath, they didn't even seemed to notice me at all. They continue to walk on and soon they are no longer visible.

I sit up on the tree, quickly tying myself to the branch. I allow my head to rest on the branch, quickly falling asleep as I allow my eyes to close over and even though I am surrounded by my worst fears, sleep comes very easily to me.

I'm awoken by a gong, symbolizing someone's death. I'm startled, and at that moment I am glad that I had learned one thing from Katniss in making sure I was secured onto the tree before I feel asleep. Looking quickly into the sky I could see the face of the male District Three tribute. Looking around I saw no one around, I got ready to start climbing down the tree. As I took each of the steps down, I felt a lot less confident as I was climbing up the tree.

When I finally touched the ground I let out a sigh or relief glad to be finally safe and sound. Until I felt a hand touch my shoulder, and I completely jumped, turning around to see the person who scared me.

Trinity stood there, smiling at me. I tried to move further away from her, but the tree was in my way. She had completely pinned me in. There was nowhere for me to go. I was slightly surprised that she had yet to kill me. Closing my eyes I awaited my fate at the hands of Trinity.

"What are you doing? You just slept the whole night." Trinity says, I open my eyes, not moving away from her position in front me.

"You were watching me?" I choke out, frightened that at any point she would turn around and kill me.

"I was following dumb and dumber and they were too busy talking that they didn't notice you at all. Where do they think they are, out for a day of shopping?" Trinity started a small giggle, she must have thought that her comment was funny. I just stood and watched her.

"You aren't going to kill me?" I was shocked at my own outburst, covering my mouth, looking at Trinity's expression after my blunt statement. If she thought her own comment was funny, mine caused an even greater laugh.

"You honestly think I would kill you?" I raise my eyebrow at her, seriously doubting her own thought of not killing me straight away. "You seriously think I will. Your sister and my brother would kill me if I let anyone touch you. Life would not be worth living. Unless you get in my way, I don't see why I can't keep you around. You say you are a healer, so that shouldn't be too bad to keep around." Trinity says, turning and heading towards the woods once again. I stand completely still, wondering if this is a test she has put in front of me. "Come on before someone really does come along and kill you!"

I start to follow in behind Trinity. Even though we are of similar height, she walks much quicker than me, and I have to break into a light jog to keep up with her. I think this causes her to break out into a small grin. After what feels like ten minutes of complete silence, I speak up: "You haven't seen Gale, he was meant to be meeting me after the bloodbath, but we never seemed to get there."

Trinity stops in her tracks at the mention of Gale. I wasn't so quick in stopping my feet, and walk straight into the back of Trinity. She turns around to me, and looks me directly into my eyes before stating: "We don't mention Gale. You got that?"

"Why? I just want to know if he is okay. He promised that we would be together in the Games. What if something has happened?" I say, trying to reason with her, if that is the wisest idea.

"Last I seen him, he was heading into the woods. His face hasn't come up yet so he hasn't been in that much trouble. He's a big boy, you don't need to worry about him. He can handle being out and about on his own." Trinity says before turning and starting of on her walk through the woods.

I follow quickly behind her, I feel like we are walking in the middle of nowhere but Trinity seems to know where she is going. We stop at a small stream, Trinity lifts a small bottle from her bag, and begins to fill it up with the fresh water. She places a few drops of iodine into it. She closes the lid over and gives the bottle a little shake before opening the lid up once again, and taking a swig of the water in it. She passes it back to me, and I allow myself to take a drink from it, before passing it back.

"Have you had anything to eat since we have been in here?" Trinity simply asks.

"I found some berries yesterday, and kept some." I dip my hand into my pocket on my jacket, and lift some of them out and hand a few over towards Trinity. She lifts a few and holds them in between her fingers, checking them for venom. When she is sure that they are empty, she pops them into her mouth. She reaches back into her bag, and lifts a small white packet out, as she opens it a strange red/brown strip in her hand.

"It's beef jerky. I found it into the bloodbath. It should fill you more than some of the berries." She passes a strip to me, and as I tear into it with my teeth I watch as she too takes a strip before putting the rest back in her bag.

"What are we going to do now?" I ask her as she pulls her bag onto her shoulder.

"There is a small cave down stream that I found yesterday. I want you to stay there, I'm going to see were the rest of the tributes are, see if I can get rid of a few of the weak ones. Might run into Gale, I'll tell him you were looking for him." She gives a small sinister smile.

I nod by head, not wanting to be part of her hunting party, and knew that it would be best if I stayed away from were the killings were. Hopefully no one would come anywhere near me and my cave. We parted ways, and it didn't take me long before I found the cave that Trinity had mentioned. It was incredibly small, and I had to crawl into the tight space. It was not in plain view. It was an excellent hiding spot for someone small like me. As I lay in the cramped cave, I felt slightly safe. It was clear that no one else would fit in the space, and if I hadn't have known that it was here I would have walked past it.

During the day I hear two gongs going off. I think about who they could possible belong to, not being able to see the sky from here I will have to wait till the night time to see who had lost their life. Had anyone of them been killed by Trinity? Had Trinity been killed? There was also Gale to think about. If Trinity saw Gale would she spare him just as she had spared me? I know that she was extremely mad and cross at him from the interviews. I was unsure what had been said was completely true, all I knew what that it had made both of them uptight. Even as we had said goodbye to Katniss, Trinity had not come over, Gale refused to look anywhere but at Trinity. I watched as he had found her on her podium during the countdown before the Games started. I saw the look in his eye, it was not the same look as me. He didn't view her as a sister, but he knew that he needed to protect her. Was it the same look that Cato gave to my sister? I wasn't sure, but it was extremely close to it.

I continued to lie in the small cave, more like hole for most of the day. Even when the need to use the bathroom came, I continued to stay in my small space, trying to think of anything other than the bathroom. It was starting to get dark, and my body was stiff from not moving much for the day. As I was wriggling my toes, I could feel dirt or maybe a stick on my ankle. It really creeped me, out and a small pierce came as I moved my leg. The pain came a few seconds later, pulling myself out of the small space and venturing out into the open, I could see that my ankle was completely swollen. Looking back into the small space, I seen a snake now sitting were my foot had once been. How long had I been in that hold with a snake sitting beside me? The pain coming from my ankle, caused tears to come to my eyes. I sat on the floor, holding and looking at it. It was clear from the strange purple and how much the ankle had swollen that the snake had been poisonous.

Looking all around me, I could see that it was at least evening, and there would be very little daylight left. Searching around I tried to see if Trinity was anywhere close by. There was no sign of anyone. As I turned around and saw the female tribute from One across the river from me. I froze stiff. She looked straight at me, and reached for her bow. My ankle made it hard to move, and I tried to move back, but I tripped over, as I tried to put any weight on it. Placing my hand out, the cave, stopped me from falling onto the ground. Looking back up I could see that she had her bow loaded with an arrow and was directly pointing at me.

It all happened in slow motion, as I watched as she got ready to aim the arrow at me, knowing that there was nowhere for me to go with already being injured. Out of nowhere Trinity ran straight into the tribute, tackling her to the ground. I watched as Trinity straddled the tribute, who was older and taller than her. She aimed a punch directly to her face, repeatedly. The tribute continued to fight her way through it. They battled it off, until Trinity reached for the arrow which had been in the bow. She stabbed into the ground, going through the tribute's hand, pinning her into the ground. I watched as she now had pinned her down, one hand with arrow sticking out of it. Her boot on the other. She wrapped her tiny but strong hands around the woman's neck, and started to choke her. The colour quickly drained from her face.

I stared at the scene in horror. Unable to move my eyes away, as this girl the same age as me watched as the life drained from the eyes of another soul from her own hands. Trinity finally let go of her throat, only for the gong to off symbolizing that the woman had lost her life.

I watched in horror as that same girl came towards me. She bent down to her knees and looked at my ankle which was throbbing. "You couldn't even just sit and not get yourself into trouble."

"I...I... I was bite by a snake." I simply state. My mouth dry from not having a drink all day, and being completely silent.

"I might have a few bandages in my bag, but you are going to need something a lot stronger to do something to help you leg. You better hope your sister can get you some sponsors." Trinity states.

I watch as she wraps my legs in bandages. I teach her how to wrap it correctly every now and again, but she seems to have some first aid training. I wonder if that was part of her training to become a trained fighter. She reaches down and pulls me up to her as she helps me hobble back into the woods. She finds us a small spot to hid under the bush in a small tunnel for the night.

I watch once again to see the face of those who died. The first face is the female tribute from one whom Trinity had killed as I had watched her. The two gongs from during the day had been the tribute from six and seven. I don't ask whether Trinity had killed them or not. When that ends the days recap, I am glad to see that Gale was able to survive another day. I know he was probably searching the whole woods for me today, but I'm glad that he has been safe. I quickly rest my head against the edge of the tunnel, biting my lip as the movement causes pain in my ankle. All I can think about is will I be here in twenty four hours again to see the recap of tomorrow.

Hope you all enjoyed as I said before the start of this chapter, I am hoping to have this finished before/on the end of the month. Please help me to do this, if you are a reader of this book make sure to keep me accountable. Want to move onto some of my other works; if you read them please let me know which one you would like me to finish first. I was thinking maybe finish: Love at First Sight. It's a story about Peeta and Katniss, how if Katniss had have loved Peeta from the very beginning how it would have been different the whole way through the Trilogy? If I get enough comments that another book should be finished first then I will probably do that then. Thanks again for reading, and as I always say each of my readers mean the world to me.

I was wondering, if anyone would like to or know someone who would like to become my Beta Reader. I think that it would be good especially if I am thinking of completing my stories in making sure that they are rid of mistakes. That people could enjoy them fully when they stumble upon them every now and again.
