A/N: Hello my lovely readers! Sorry this is long, but I have a lot of stuff to say. I hope your having a fantastic day! I'm really happy to announce my 40+ favorites, my 50+ follows and over 60 reviews! Motherhugger how did that happen?! Thank you times a million for making this story popular! I mean I was expecting this story to get five follows or something small like that. Never could I have imagined all of you people! It makes my heart jump with joy. I'm sorry to say I will not be able to update until Friday. I know it's so far away, but this is my first week of high school. I want to get used to the system and the work and all that great stuff.
Well I won't bore you with some interesting news. Or wait yes I will. I have decided to will make a sequel to this story. Why am I telling you this now when we haven't even gotten to part one of the finale? Well I'll tell you why. I am telling you all this now so this way I won't need to put an authors note on the remaining chapters. This way I can get everything out during this chapter. Before I go I want to say this story is dedicated to my best friend for encouraging me to write more than the first chapter. After seeing how far the story has come I am glad to say the story is also dedicated to all of you! Give yourself a pat on the back. Alright I'm sure your tired of reading my endless babbling. Tris
After the meeting I went along with my day. The four of us agreed not to see each other until later. I was a little disappointed about that, but oh well. As the day went on I thought of the plan over and over again. Tonight was it. Tonight I could find a home. I could have a future with Tobias. The possibilities of where my life will go next are endless. Hopefully things will settle down after today.
However I do not know if I will see tomorrow's light. I hope I will. I know I the hours tick by my nervousness worsens. I know I agreed not to see the others until later; but I cannot wait. I stand in front of a glass and metal railing looking out at the people down below.
My hope is to see Tobias' face among them, but I don't. He is okay I'm sure. After all no one suspects us. Or at least I don't think anyone does. Marcus has given me a few accusing looks. However I am not worried about that. He probably knows I snuck into his office.
That doesn't matter I would do that anyway. Or at least I thought I would. I talked to Johan earlier. I'm happy to know he didn't think I was crazy. It was a huge risk telling him, but I trust him. Well to an extent I trust him. Thankfully he agreed to help me and not tell anyone. However I hate dragging him into this. After all he is Tobias' brother.
"Rose what are you going," I hear Nita call behind me. Chills go down my spine as I grip the metal railing in front of me. Gripping the railing as hard as I can I look over my shoulder. Nita walks over to me with light steps. She wears a smile that makes my stomach curl. "Just.. daydreaming," I say politely although I have the urge to attack her. As she stands by my side se says, "Wonderful isn't it?"
"Yeah," I lie as I keep my eyes forward. Scanning the crowd I look for Tobias. Still there is no sign of him. Where could he be? He could be anywhere in this place. "Are you okay rose," Nita asks. Without hesitating I say, "I'm perfectly fine." "Did Four upset you, I know the two of you were talking," Nita says to me.
I can see the deeper meaning of what she is saying. However she knows Rose wouldn't see that. If I didn't have my memory episode earlier is would tell Nita. I would tell her what happened and what I saw. The thought of doing that makes me sick.
"Of course not," I say a bit to defensively, "In fact I was going to talk to him soon." Nita nods with a smile, but her eyes are a warning. She is trying to determine whether or not I have woken up. Keeping my gaze soft I look into her eyes. Only for a few moments do we stare at each other. Both of us waiting for the other to make a move of some sort. "Well I'll see you later," I finally say with a tight smile. Before she can say or do anything I take off.
With quick steps I make my way down the stairs. Of course I run into someone. "Sorry," I say as I look up to see who I bumped into. It's Tobias. "It's okay Rose," Tobias says and I smile, "Hey Four." I look in the direction of Nita and he nods. "Meet me tonight," I say my voice barely above a whipser.
Tobias nods, "Nice seeing you." With a light chuckle I say, "You two Four. See ya around." His smile looks painful and I know why. Without another word I make my way through the crowd. As I walk I feel the eyes of not only Nita's glare. But I can feel Tobias' longing eyes on my back.
*Time Skip*
It is ten o'clock at night and I am sitting in my little room waiting. It feels almost like that calm before a storm. Right now I have to wait to her to the servaliance room. Mostly because of the guard shifts. I won't be able to break in and do what needs to be done until 1.
Groaning I lay on my bed as I think through the plan. I stare at the ceiling letting my thoughts wander. Slowly, but surely more memories fill my mind. However they are not the ones Tobias told me. They are the ones with this boy who is older than me who wears grey.
I think that is Caleb. Then there is a pretty woman and a decent man in the memories. I really hope those are my real memories, but I cannot be sure. A minute later my door opens to reveal Tobias. Thank goodness I was worried he wouldn't come.
"Hey," he say as he shuts the for behind him softly. "Hey," I smile as I sit up from my laying position. Tobias sits beside me and I rest my head on his shoulders. What if I fail? What if this whole things blows up in my face? I can't fail and I won't fail. Yet the doubt stays with me. Tobias' fingers intertwine with mine as he kisses my head. Closing my eyes I say, "Are we going to make it through this? Do you think the plan will work and we will go home?"
I look into his eyes this time. He inhales softly. For a moment he says nothing. However after a minute of silence he answers. "The plan will work Tris and when we walk out of this we start planning our wedding."
Panic goes through me as the image a wedding ring fills my mind. It's my ring. The ring he gave me. My eyes search his as I say, "I don't have it anymore, it was beautiful." Tobias smiles at me with eyes that burn into me. I think my eyes are on fire, but really it's just unshed tears.
"It will be okay Tris, I promise you," Tobias says as he cups my face into his hands. Before I know it I'm kissing him passionately. Our lips move as one as I let my arms wrap around his neck. Slowly I move my hands lower and lift the bottom his shirt up. He stops the kiss for a second and practically rips his shirt off. Once the shirt is off he proceeds to kiss me.
As we kiss my fingers longer on his bare chest. If I could stay with him like this forever I would do it. Without question I would do it. The world does not exist anymore. It as if we are completely alone in the universe. Soon I become lost in him and him in me.
*Some time later*
"Tris," Tobias murmurs pulling me back into the real world. I open my eyes to see his eyes staring back at me. I'm pressed extremely close to Tobias and I'm wearing his shirt. It smells just like him. "Is it time," I ask sleepily and he murmurs, "Yes it is." I smile lightly as I move away from Tobias. Only to feel the emptiness of the rigid air. It sends shivers down my spine, but I ignore them.
While Tobias turns to face the wall I put my jeans on, but leave his shirt on. It's a little to big for me. I don't mind though. It smells like him which fills me with relief. After a little silence I ask, "Tobias did we... I mean did we you know... do it?" Tobias bites his lips. He is trying to decide on what to tell me. In a soft voice he says, "I think we did Tris." Heat rises to my cheeks as I sit on the floor.
I cannot believe I did... it. How could we do that the night before we are going to put a plan into motion? I mean honestly. Yeah you know it's fine to have sex the night before an escape plan. Just toss it in there. Not to mention I only recently remembered he was the love of my life. Also we aren't married yet. Not that it matters, but still. I wait for Tobias to change which doesn't take long.
"That was fun," Tobias says as he smiles at me, "You know I need that shirt." I picked my lips as I say, "No you don't." His smile makes me feel like I'm full of electricity. I stand up and walk over to Tobias still smiling. His arms wrap around my waist as he says, "Was that wrong?" I shake my head. "I wouldn't say it was wrong, I would say we have bad timing." Tobias shrugs with a simple smile.
He pulls me into a kiss that send electricity through my veins. And I absolutely love it. *knock knock* "Rose open the door," I hear Nita yell. My heart stops as I break the kiss. I stare at Tobias panicked as he whispers, "I'll hide in the bathroom." "You do that," I whisper to him.
Quickly he runs to the little bathroom and slowly he closes the door. Once the door is closed I say, "One second Nita, I'm coming." As I say her name some unpleasant memories of her play through my mind.
My hand rests on the door knob for a moment. Looks like a change of plans. I open the door to see Nita standing there with her arms folded. "Can I help you at 12:46 in the morining," I say as nicely as possible. I have to remember Rose is really nice. Way to nice to be me. What did they give me anyway?
"What have you been up to," Nita questions accusingly. My heart is pounding, she's onto us. "I don't think I understand your question," I say bitterly (don't fight with her), "I mean I was sleeping."
Nita's eyes burn into mine for a what felt like ages. Her eyes look me over, but longer on my shirt that is too big for me. Her expression changes as she stares into my eyes. "Well Beatrice glad to see you joined us again," Nita says cynically.
My heart fluttered in my chest. She tried to tackled me, but I punched her straight in the face. I must have punched her really hard because my knuckles hurt. Her head rolled back then she fall to the floor.
Biting my lip I dragged her limp body into my room. I practically slammed the door as soon as her unconcious body was in my room. Pressing my back against the door I smile. Man did that feel good. "Tobias," I call softly as I look down at Nita.
A moment later Tobias walks out to see Nita lying on the ground unconcious. "Couldn't have done it better myself," Tobias says. Rolling my eyes I get her key cards. "With these we can get into any place, now let's go," I say.
Tobias nods as he pulls Nita's body into the bathroom. He locks the door then shuts it. "Okay and give me my shirt back," Tobias says smirking. "No, we'll get you another one on the way now let's go," I say and take his hand in mine.
Without another moment to waste we run down the halls. After a minute we find our way to a supply closet. I pull out a black shirt that is his side. As he puts the shirt on I frown. He looks great without a shirt.
I plant a kiss on his cheeks then run past him down the corner. He is only a few steps behind when we arrive a ways away from the servaliance room. We squat around the corner from the grey door. The door leading to servaliance.
"Wait here for a minute," I say, "I don't know if anyone's in there. Luckily we know no one saw what happened or else the sirens would have gone off." Tobias nods, "Okay, but be careful. You know the signal for Marlene and Zeke?"
"Of course," I reply. He places his lips on my cheek quickly. I smile at him. It is all I can do. Hesitantly I stand from my position and move over to the door. I enter the servaliance room to see someone I didn't expect. Johan.
"Hey Rose, I mean Tris," Johan says with a huge smile. "Johan what are you doing here," I ask shocked. What was he doing here? He was basically thirteen. Why would he have clearance to come in here? "Your welcome by the way, lucky for you I have been working in servaliance," Johan explains as he winks, "Anyway no one will know about Nita. Nice punch by the way."
I cannot help, but smile at him. Although the memories I have with him are fake. He seems like a good kid. "Thanks for helping out, you didn't have to break in," I ask curisously. I may have asked for his help earlier without telling the others. His smile widens. "Of course not, I just had to pull a few strings," Johan says simply. "Come in Tobias, it's just Johan," I call quietly, but loud enough for him to hear.
Tobias walks in surprised to see Johan here. Then it occured to me I don't think they actually met. I mean introductions or anything. "Oh Tobias this is Johan as I'm sure you know your little brother, Johan this is Tobias your older brother," I introduce. Johan and Tobias have a little stare down that makes me laugh on the inside. "Are you sure we can trust him," Tobias asks me.
I nod, "I asked for his help, besides he won't betray us." Johan speaks before Tobias can, "I hate Marcus by the way and I have no reason to betray you guys. Also since I trust Ro- Tris I want to help out." I look at Tobias softly as I say, "he can help us with the cameras, not too mention he knows the east wing better than I do." It took a little convincing, but eventually Tobias agreed.
I move over to Johan's side by the large wall of computers. I use the key cards from Nita and let Johan tamper with them. For a thirteen year old he is extremely smart. I'm sure he would be erudite, but also I can see a little candor and abnegation. He's too rational for dauntless, but he does like to fight. Probably why I don't see him as amity.
I give the signal to Zeke and Marlene. I can see them on one of the monitors. Using the little stick I move the camera four times. This let's them know Tobias and I are here and ready. They see it. Quickly they leave their spot and are off to undergo the next part of the plan.
Sitting next to Johan I was as his fingers race across the key board. A moment later he says, "Okay I reset the cameras. You can get in anywhere without any one knowing unless of course they are right in front of you. I'll warn you if I see something." "Thanks Johan, come on Tobias," I say. Taking Tobias' hand we run out of the servaliance room. Swiftly we make our way to the weapons lab.
What are two dauntless without good guns? Tobias picks out two really good ones. They're called sharp shooters X78. They can hit their target from 200 feet away and have a lot of power. "Alright now that we got supplies where to next," I ask Tobias as we load up. Nita wasn't supposed to come to my room. At first we were supposed to just break into servaliance room and get what needed.
However it's a change of plans. "Okay we know Nita will probably wake up soon and come looking for us," Tobias starts, "here's what we should do. I think we need to skip the stages in our plan." Confused I shake my head. "Be more specific I didn't memorize each stage," I snap softly.
Tobias sighs, "We just need to meet with Mar and Zeke." "How when they are working on their part," I ask. Let's just say this plan is extremely confusing. Most of the time when we talked about it I got lost. Tobias looks at his hands as he says, "We'll just have to find the serum lab now." I nod and we head off. Fingers cross we get out okay. We will be okay. We have to be.
