Hey everyone! I'm back (well actually 6 weeks ago) but anyway, I got caught up with violin, volleyball and swimming so that limited my laptop usage and then I always got too carried away with Pretty Little Liars… SO sorry I haven't updated but I'm back with a new chapter!
And I'm deciding to stop doing 1st POV, I hope that isn't any trouble to anyone but the view will still be from Nya's if you know what I mean.
Chapter 25
She didn't like the sound of this plan one bit. She thought it was reckless and stupid. Ok, she'll admit it was pure genius when she had first heard it but the more she thinks about, the more she thinks it's a bad idea.
"I don't think it'll work…" She sighed as she and the others were now sitting on the ground in a small hut filled with bombs and explosives. If the dragon happened to hear them and shot fire their way, they'll be a pile ashes in a matter of seconds.
"Why? I think it's a great idea!" Lloyd exclaimed but Cole quickly hit him over the head.
"Stop being loud, you're going to draw unwanted attention by a furnace with wings!" He snapped in a quiet whisper, his face still ghostly pale and white.
"Well I'm just saying I can't see it working." Nya said with a shrug of her shoulders.
"Fine then, why don't you come up with a better idea?" Lloyd asked her as he crossed his arms across his chest and puffed out deeply. And in fact she did, it was a bit like Lloyd's plan and a bit from kai's. But she also thought it was reckless. Should she even waste her time explaining it to the others or just go with kai's or Lloyd's?
"And I do have a better idea." She replied after deciding to tell the others and she stuck her finger into the ground and drew an oval with a small one attached to it and two triangles sticking out of it on top.
"What on Ninjago is that supposed to be?"
"The dragon, I'm not an expert drawer. Anyway, my plan is to throw a bomb in its mouth."
"That's like my plan…" Lloyd sighed.
"But unlike your plan, you'll need to light it up and throw it in but there's a high chance of it exploding before we can get it into its mouth." She told them and then she drew a stick figure with a circle in what it was supposed to be its hand and another 4 figures without it.
"So how do we do it?"
"Well a dragon breathes out fire right? And to activate the bomb we have to a light it but that's only on the fuse, with fire surrounding the actual bomb, it may be hot enough to activate it without it going through the fuse and it'll hopefully explode in the creature's stomach or in its mouth. Even if the dragon's throat is fire-proof the gun powder and the force from the bomb will hopefully kill it."
"Ok, great idea but how do we get it into the creature's stomach?" She heard Kai asked.
"One of you will it throw it in while the others will make it angry so it'll blow fire but we'll throw it in just as we see its neck glow alright?" She asked and she dusted her hands lightly.
"And what will you do?"
"I'll try and find Garmadon." She replied with a smile but the looks she got back weren't positive.
"Are you mad?"
"He'll kill you within a minute with that bad ankle!"
"He'll be protected by a hundreds of warriors!"
"You can barely walk!"
"Have you gone crazy?!"
She sighed. Yes, some had very good points but what else could she do? She had read many books that have war and in each one, both leaders come out and battle each other until one still live. Sure she have a disadvantage but even from a far distance she could shot an arrow and aim it to his neck to end his miserable life.
"And I'm not going to let you go unprotected." She heard Jay said with a stern look. She should've have known Jay would strongly disagree. After all, they were together and they should out for each other but if he comes with her, it'll show Garmadon that she's weak and fragile. She wanted to show him how much she had improved since he had kidnapped her. If she does bring Jay along then he'll kill him for her accident or not. She wants to kill him herself for possibly killing her parents and Harumi. But then again, she probably didn't even have a chance against Garmadon in a hand to hand combat or swords, she was good at far distance and this wouldn't be fair to him… Even though he did order a dragon to kill her and frighten on of her strongest friends.
"Fine." She gave up to her friends as they sent her icy glares that made her skin crawl. How is she going to beat them in a verbal battle anyway? She's clearly outnumbered and they do have good points. She knows they had more training then she had and older. Plus they were her friends and friends never leave each other behind.
"Just stay put and if you do need help just call out to us." Kai told her as he went to grab her shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile. She just sighed in return. She felt like a rag doll, unable to do anything but watch what may be the end of her friends.
.::.
She held the branch and stared intensely at creature they stood tall, casting terrifying shadows upon the ground.
"I swear, if you kill my friends, I'll make sure I'll kill you." She muttered grumpily to herself as she tried sending draggers to the dragon. She's putting her friends at risk and stupid Garmadon is too scared to fight. She looked to each of them. Jay was jumping slightly to warm himself up while Kai was stretching out his arms. Zane was staring at the beast and Cole was jogging on the spot as well while Lloyd looked at her, ready for the signal and he had the bomb in his hand. She nodded her head and Lloyd gave her a curt nod and yelled out:
"Hey you! Yes you stupid worm! Come and get me!" Lloyd said as he waved out his arms and walked out of the bush. The dragon's head snapped to his direction. Its wing spread out to their fall spam as he was about to take off. "Oh dear…"
"No over here fat bug!" Cole next shouted and Nya's head turned to his direction. "I said over here!" And he threw a rock nearby at the dragon's black head. She felt her heart skipped a beat as flame spilled from its mouth and to Cole's direction. Even though he was dead scared to stand up to the dragon and Nya offered him to do something else, he still took up the offer. She admired his determination for his team and the rest of Ninjago even though it was her country to rule and look after. Without her team and friends, she got no idea on how she's supposed to rule a country and do what's best for everyone. Without her royal friends, she would have past her role to someone else.
Her tree swayed violently and she flung her body to the trunk and held it tightly as Cole swung his scythe around before planting it firmly into the ground making it shake. The fire immediately stopped and a huge wall of earth sprouted from the ground and curled around him to prevent the fire burning his pale skin. She then next gasped as the tail hit the rocky/earthy shelter.
Please don't hit him!
But she sighed in relief when it just knocked the top bit.
"Hey! Pick somebody on your own size!" Zane shouted as he shot frozen ice shards out of his shurikens and hit the dragon. It let out a high pitch cry and Nya covered her ears forgetting to hold on as the dragon's voice itself shook the ground. She let out a scream but she couldn't even hear it as the dragons of course is louder than her's. But her right leg got caught between the fork of the branch while the rest of her body dangled. She let out a groan of pain. She could feel the blood rushing to her head. She was grateful in some way that it wasn't her left leg but this would mean that both of her legs would be injured. She looked down and saw it would be at least a 5 meter drop. She gulped and tried hosting herself up but her back protested. She winched and tried to grab the branch with her arms or any branch in grasp but she found none. And what even disappointed her a lot is that her back is facing the fight. If she yelled out now she could reveal her spot or even mess up the plan.
Her head started to feel fuzzy as the blood rushed further down. In a way, it made her feel sick and it also made her head feel like it's going to burst and with her foot in the branch, it didn't help either.
"I can't leave you alone can I?" She heard a soft voice spoke.
"Who's there?!" She snapped with a demanded tone in her voice.
"You can't recognize the voice of your own boyfriend? How sad…"
"Jay…" She breathed out in relief and her hands went to lift her shirt which probably fell and revealing her stomach.
"Don't move and trust me ok? I'll get you out."
"Ok." She answered and tried to hold back another groan. She then saw a hand in view and grab it and she felt it lift her up and she saw his face.
"Both legs, I guess I can't let you fight Garmadon."
"It doesn't hurt much… wait why are you here?" She asked and stared into those soft blue eyes of his as he gently took her foot out and held onto her tightly and the branch.
"I saw you fell…" She heard him sighed. She could see the pain in his face and the worry too. She leaned in and kissed his lips gently.
"Be careful alright?" She asked.
"You too then, no more falling out of trees." And this made her laugh and he led her to a safer spot on the tree and climbed back out like a monkey.
What do you think? You like the 3rd POV or not? I can change it back if you guys wait. I've just suddenly turned bad at writing 1st and now much better at 3rd so your opinion would do a lot for me as I have this big international test coming up and it may be a writing a story test. But please review and super sorry for the long update!
