Me: *sulking in a corner*

'Stop it Madara!' Sakura giggling loudly as she hid her face in the big white pillow, her legs tangling in the sheets of their large bed. Madara chuckled softly but nevertheless continued to record his beautiful wife as she tried to hide away from the video camera. He and Sakura had been together for nearly five years now and this was one of his methods in his rather large arsenal to get her to blush. She became like a little shy child when in front of the camera. When he met her she was seventeen, and instantly fell in love. When she went to med school, way earlier than normal he made a point to help her as much as possible. He wanted to make sure to make it a point of being there whenever she needed him. When she finally said yes at the age of twenty four he was beyond elated. He couldn't ask for a better wife. Every day he falls in love just that much harder.

He wants to record her every day because not will they would be having a new addition to the family in six months but he never wants to forget all their happy memories.

'Come on, Honey, you have to smile for the camera,' he said. He laughed softly at her attempt to grab the annoyance in his hands by revealing her face and stretching her hand out at him. Madara swiftly avoided her grasp and backed away and out of reach. She pouted cutely up at him. He just cannot resist her.

'Always a child,' he whispered lovingly as he went to get into bed next to her; placing the video camera back on the dresser and grabbing the photo album Sakura asked for before he started filming her. She wanted to finish placing all their photos inside the album that they have gather over the years. He smiled as she pointed at the one where Sasuke was soaking wet thanks to Naruto and Itachi bombarding him with water balloons and water guns. He was very pissed that day, but Sakura took the photo at just the right time so he was standing there smiling in amusement at his brother and friends' antics. He laughed along with Sakura when they found the picture of Naruto lying unconscious on the ground, Hinata on her knees next to him a worried look on her face. It was the day Hinata told him that she was pregnant and he would be a father. They had the picture while Sasuke had the video of it all happening. He had managed to record it while hiding in the shadows, Sakura was wise enough to let him know just in time when she caught wind of when Hinata was planning on telling him. Sakura then started to tease Madara who got a small tint of red on his cheeks as he looked away laughing nervously. Instead of fainting Madara had started uncharacteristically yelling out all the things he needed to do before the baby came just after he grinned widely at her and started to passionately kissing her to display his joy…then he needed to sit down since he started to get dizzy after actually running around the large glass coffee table.

'This is my favourite day,' Sakura whispered and she pointed to the picture where she was in Madara's arms with a wide smile on her face. Madara was grinning widely at the camera as he held her in his arms. They were covered in dirt and their clothes had seen much better days, but they were happy. Their eyes shone with their joy. It was the day when everyone went to a river hidden in the forest. They had found it after hours of falling down ledges, tripping over roots and trying to dodge bee hives. It was worth the bruises and scratches when they actually found it. The water sparkled in the background of the photo making it seem so beautiful but it is much more enchanting in real life.

'Mmm, it was a good day…even if I did got a rash thanks to Naruto, the idiot, pushing me into the poison ivy,' Madara whispered darkly making Sakura laugh at his anger. But he did get Naruto back by rubbing poison ivy all over his chair in his office and then left more leave on the chair in self. The idiot had sat on it and only noticed the ivy when he was jumping up and down like a monkey while scratching his butt and arms.

The calm atmosphere in the bedroom was broken by Madara's phone ringing loudly. Sakura made a note to change his ringtone into a funny song gain. He always keep changing them back just to annoy her, and she would stubbornly change it to the next song she came accross that she liked.

Sakura looked down at the album, clearly upset when Madara sighed and sat up so he could grab the phone. Sakura sat up as well and stared at his back worriedly while listening to the one-sided conversation. It didn't sound good.

'There better be a very big problem since you had to call me on my week off,' he asked calmly but the dangerous intent was clear to anyone that knew him. Madara's shoulders and back went tense and he nodded to himself then answered in affirmative to the person on the other line. His mouth was set into a grim line. He closed the phone and turned to face Sakura fully who looked away. She knew what that face meant. Her shoulders sagged in sadness and she turned away from him. She knew what was going on without him having to explain. She turned back to watch him as he grabbed the big black duffle bag in the corner on the spacious room. He quickly started to throw clothes inside all the while apologizing to her continuously, but all Sakura did was nod sadly at his words.

He turned to the closet and grabbed the big yellow and orange striped jacket that she placed ther because he usually throws uncaringly over the chair. He turned to her next and quickly gave her a kiss on the forehead and mutters a last apology. He ran from the room, down the corridors and then out the front door to meet Kurama who had just pulled to a stop. They greeted as he drove off. He just hoped this wouldn't turn out be a bad one and that they could settle this as soon as possible. Madara watched as the sky get an orange glow the closer they got the raging fire. The air starting to heat up and when they finally came to a stop at the forest's edge sweat was beginning to form on his brow. The damage could clearly be seen and felt. Kurama and Madara quickly pulled on their jackets along with the black gloves then they grabbed their helmets. They raced over to the Second Captain who had a grim look on his face as he threw orders around. His attention turned to them when they approached. Madara was First Captain but since he was on leave he needed to follow orders now.

'Okay boys, this one is nearly out of control so be careful what you do! Madara, Kurama, Nagato and Asuma, you boys are on the chopper. You have to go in and see if you can cut the fire off in the middle. If you can it would turn out a lot easier to squash this baby out. Scatter!'

They nodded at Kakashi's orders and ran towards the chopper already waiting for them and quickly scrambled inside. It slowly started to ascend and then they were on the move. Raging fires sped under then as they raced off to what would most likely be they place where this inferno initiated form. They pilot circled a few times to look for an area it could land or even hover close enough to the ground though the grey smoke that covered the ground like mist made it hard to see. But luckily it didn't take too long to find a spot. It wasn't the most ideal but it will have to do. Madara looked at the fire in distain; he was at this moment a bit glad that Sakura convinced him to start taking up half time like she does. He wouldn't be able to handle giving her and their future child more heart attacks than necessary.

Sakura quickly grabbed the remote for the TV and switched to a news channel to watch about the fire her husband was currently fighting in. She jumped through channels until she came to a stop at one that was filming her lovers' teams through live-feed. She watched the helicopter took off and the woman explain that they were trying to stop the fire from the inside out. She held Madara's pillow tightly as she begged to the gods that he was not on that thing because she didn't want to lose him and become a single mother. The thought made tears gather in the corner of her eyes and made her think how she would explain to their child why he or she didn't have a father. No! No, she mustn't think of it! He will be okay, like all the other times he fought off dangerous fires or pushing cars off rail tracks while there is an upcoming train or when he needs to climb through air vents to save a child that got stuck...

Madara was the first to jump off when the chopper landed unsteadily on the ground. They quickly ran to help with prepping more hoses to calm the fire.

'Come on, move! This thing is spreading faster that Kakashi anticipated,' he yelled as the other began to run around to get everything in place. Madara held on tightly as the water began to spry out over the flames, but it wasn't enough this fire was already out of control. They didn't have enough water or foam to stop it from growing all the way down hill. This is a fire that will take days to douse but if they could just get it under control then...Madara noticed it too late. Kurama ran forward to check something just as Madara realised what it was.

'No! Kurama get bac…' his call was drowned out by an explosion of dead trees that send Kurama flying back and the fire raged stronger than ever before. The others immediately knew this was a hopeless case so they started to move back calling for Madara to come. The idiots!

'I found Kurama. Come and help me!' he called back as he headed for Kurama's unconscious form. He quickly turned him over seeing his face slightly burned from the heat of the explosion. His pulse was fine. He knew Kurama wouldn't care if those left scars, as long as he could return back to his brother, Naruto, who would also be watching this along with Itachi. He started to drag him back to the chopper when he heard the sound of the engine getting louder. He stopped to look up to the helicopter that was starting to take off without them.

'Wait!' he yelled but the aircraft just continued rising.

'Come Back,' he yelled again waving his arms wildly, but could only watch as their only hope of getting out of the flaming circle flew back to the others without them. He grew panicked when he heard another explosion behind his back. He cast a glance towards the big water tank that was, up till now, being filled with the other water helicopter that was probably on search for more water. He let out a shout of shock when a burning tree came crashing down, its path directly towards them.

Sakura ran for the ringing phone on the bed side table.

'Hello?' she said waiting for Madara's voice to come filtering through, saying that he was coming home, but it wasn't him. It was one of his team mates.

'Is this Sakura?' the voice asked sounding grim and sad making her hold her breath in fear at what she might hear from him.

'Y…yes who…who is this?' she asked softly making the person on the other side hesitant, he continue with a voice that sounded nearly dead.

'It's Hatake Kakashi.'

If she remembered correctly it was the second captain.

'I am sincerely sorry to inform you but… it is believed that Madara has died in the fire along with Uzumaki Kurama who he was trying to save at the time. We are sorry for you loss,' he said softly, but Sakura was already crying her eyes out. She placed the phone down; screaming Madara's name in distress.

'You bastard you promised me you wouldn't die! You promised me you will lessen on the most dangerous cases! You promised, you promised!' she wailed; her voice getting softer and softer until she was only whispering "You promised, you promised..."

She held her stomach in distress as the tears streamed down her face, unable and unwilling to hold them in. She slowly got up and climbed into bed clenching Madara's pillow to her as she just wailed her grief losing her husband.

It's been three days since she heard that Madara had died in the fire and the weather outside matched her mood at the moment. The rain came as a blessing because it helped put the fire out more easily...but it didn't bring back her husband. Sakura was busy washing the meagre dishes to keep her mind off the pain for a while, but she was practically on autopilot. She was just staring out at the window when she saw the lights of a car through flashing. It brought her out of her trance when it almost blinded her when it turned into the longish driveway.

She noticed that it was one of the fire fighters' trucks. It bought on a fresh batch of tears as she headed for the door. She opened it, ignoring the tears, and watched as three of his team mates lined up with small smiles on their faces making her heart miss a few beats. She walked down the porch stairs slowly. Her eyes caught him walking out from behind them. She gasped and a wail tore out her throat as a new set of tears fell. She immediately rushed towards him, jumping into his arms. He swung her around as she laughed in utter joy while crying at the same time. He hugged her tightly to his chest. He pulled back to give her a kiss on the lips to calm her down so she could talk to him properly.

'How? They said you were...' she started only to be cut off by who she assumed was Kakashi. She turned to him as he smiled at the pair.

'We were picking through the debris of the fire so we could find their bodies when he came out nearly dead and dragging an equally nearly dead Kurama with him. It seems he had escaped the fire narrowly by searching for an area where there was more wetness that dryness so it was just enough to save them both. He used the water tank that was on sight to soak the ground. It took so long for them to recover because they both had trouble breathing thanks to the smoke,' he finished smiling gently at his friend. Madara nodded thanks then turned away calling the others to get going. Everyone shouted their hooray's and watched as the couple headed for the porch.

'Next time don't give me a heart attack,' Sakura whispered with a sniffle as he picked her up to carry her back to the bedroom. He looked down at her tired face and smiled gently. He was so lucky to have a woman like her.

'I promise I won't. Now go to sleep, I have a feeling you have been skipping on sleep these past few days,' he whispered back. He kissed her on the forehead.

'Because my husband wasn't next to me,' she whispered as she finally nodded off making Madara chuckle lovingly as he placed her on the bed. He gently wiped away the hair that fell over her eyes and started at this wonderful woman. He will never go against her wishes again. From now on he will definitely cut back on the more strenuous and dangerous missions as well and not just start doing half day. Don't get him wrong, everything a fire fighter did was dangerous but from now on he would watch what he did more carefully to avoid the most difficult of tasks.

'Yes and I promise this time I'll do my utmost best to be here every time you go to sleep.'

Hope ya like. Was an idea my best friend came up with so i was happy to come a long and modify it to my taste.
