From Wikipedia:

An epiphany is an experience of sudden and striking realization. Generally the term is used to describe scientific breakthrough, religious or philosophical discoveries, but it can apply in any situation in which an enlightening realization allows a problem or situation to be understood from a new and deeper perspective.

Day Twenty Three (23)

Twenty-three.

It was Deep Thought's least favorite number.

I wasn't that much a fan of it, either.

I went out and saw Harold run into the Bass cabin clutching his clothes.

Geoff and Duncan were laughing on the beach at his misfortune. Poor kid.

Heather had managed to avoid elimination yet another time.

It pissed me off more and more I was so angry, I went to make a confessional first thing in the morning.

"This island is so stupid. It's like I'm surrounded by idiots. Thank goodness there are some sane people here or I would be going insane by now. Let's just hope our losing streak doesn't continue."

I left the Confession Cam.

The last few days had been really stressful. Some of my closest friends had to leave, and I was just getting to know Beth.

Oh well, that's how it goes. We must all leave at some time or another until there is just one left.

My magnificently enormous brain was really filling up with questions right now.

Why didn't Cody know about the blueberries?

Why did Beth take the idol from Boney Island even though she was told not to?

Why couldn't Harry just go back in time with the time-turner and kill baby Voldemort?

"Hey bro." Trent said to me. I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Oh. Hi. Are you still injured?"

"No. I'm fine now."

"That's good." We stood in silence for a while.

"Gwen's hanging with Leshawna. Do you want to go for a swim again?"

"Sorry Trent, but I've got some serious pondering to do."

"Why so serious?"

"I just have a lot of questions on my mind right now. I need some clarity."

"Oh, um… okay, then. You go do your pondering."

"I will." I said.

"And if you were wondering, I voted for Beth, along with Gwen and Leshawna."

"Yeah, I thought so."

"Alright then, I'll get going." He left to our hot tub.

I wondered what place would give me some peace and quiet.

Things had been going very strangely lately, even stranger than usual. I decided to go to the forest because it was unlikely that there would be much people there.

The votes last night weren't too hard to figure out.

Beth – Heather

Gwen - Beth

Heather – Beth

Leshawna - Beth

Lindsay – Beth

Noah – Heather

Trent – Beth

Total: Beth (5); Heather (2)

Eliminated: Beth

I kept walking until I got to a creek.

It's time for Detective Noah Carter to solve some problems.

I heard footsteps behind me and turned. And standing there was… a cameraman.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

"Mr. Maclean said we have to keep an eye on all of the campers. And since the hidden cameras are being checked, I have to follow you around."

"I would like some privacy."

"Sorry. Mr. Maclean's orders.

The only place where there are no camcorders are in the bathrooms.

Canadian law prohibits that."

So I guess I'll go to the bathroom then. Wait a minute!

I remember Heather having a chat with someone in the bathroom.

And she acted very upset when I asked her who it was. It was almost like she was hiding something.

Then the cameraman's cellphone rang. He picked it up.

"Hello?" He asked.

"Sorry. Wrong number." He said after a while.

And then I understood it. Heather wasn't talking to a person. Well, she was, but it was over the phone!

Phones aren't allowed, so she went to the bathroom to avoid getting caught.

But who was she talking to? And why?

Remembering the circumstances, Heather must have been upset that Lindsay was probably going to get the boot, which she should have.

Then the Royal Canadian Mountain Police found out that Izzy was hiding here and went after her.

But how did the RCMP know?

Someone must have told them. Chris, maybe?

No. He could have reported her long ago, and he wanted ratings. The crazy chick was definitely boosting his ratings.

The only other way to contact them was through…

The phone!

Heather did it.

She knew Lindsay was probably going to go, so she called the police and told them where Izzy was.

So Izzy was forced out of hiding and run off of the island.

"Thanks." I said to the cameraman.

"Uh… you're welcome?"

Come to think of it, Heather was acting suspiciously before this too.

All the way back to Boney Island.

When we were collecting firewood, Heather was fiddling around with something near the backpacks.

I remember seeing her place something in our backpack, but I thought it was unimportant at the time.

Turns out it was important.

The thing that Heather stuffed into our backpack was the tiki doll.

She was attempting to stuff it into the Bass backpack, but she got surprised when I showed up and stuffed it into our backpack by mistake.

Then, realizing that the tiki figure was actually in her backpack, she made it look like Beth brought it here after we had lost the cooking challenge.

Beth had no idea of the doll because she didn't steal it from Boney Island, Heather did.

Beth would be the scapegoat for us losing and get kicked off.

So that leaves Cody.

He didn't willingly bring blueberries into the forest, nor did he find them in the forest and them put some in his pockets.

Someone else must have done it.

Heather, again. She must have put blueberries in his pant pockets while hugging him.

I knew there was something off about that.

That bitch.

She would stop at nothing to win, even if it meant people getting seriously injured.

She was evil.

Even eviler than she was the first time around.

How is that even possible?

She was making life miserable on this island.

And she was after me next.

Hell, I bet she placed a hornet's nest on the orange crate on purpose.

And she also made Trent leave just at the time as I was coming back so he would get knocked out and it would look like and accident.

And who could forget that diary incident, although tensions have cooled over that?

She was causing pretty much all of the drama on this stupid island.

Chris loved her, but the rest of us didn't.

Unfortunately, Lindsay was unbeknownst to the whole ordeal.

I went back to camp, wondering whether or not I should tell anyone.

The only problem was that some proof was lacking.

And the other Gophers already hated her guts.

Her time on this island was numbered.

Damn you Heather. I swear I will singlehandedly kick your ass off of this island.

That is a promise I will never turn back on.

Hope you liked it.
