Hey guys, thanks for all the amazing support from here on Fanfiction and to my friends, JusticeRocks11, Milady29, and to many others.
Now I know, I've been very bad and haven't updated in a while, *slap on the hand*, I have been so busy with work. So over the next four days, I am dedicating most of my time to provide you all with updates that I only hope you will enjoy reading. Thankyou all for following me this far into the stories and I hope you will all stick around. So thankyou all again. And another big thankyou to JusticeRocks11 (check out her stories, they are amazing!) and Milady29 (also check out her stories, they are equally amazing.)
Now, I am so upset over the first episode of Season 3, I cannot deal with it. I keep looking for Shay to walk through them doors and go "Hey idiots, it was a joke all along." But it hasn't happened yet, so I know you may all be very mad with me, but I have made a decision to add Shay's death in. I don't want to, but that is where the story is headed. There are going to be more Matt and Gabby over the next few chapters, especially with Eva's new boyfriend.
So if you don't like what I write, you can stop reading. I won't mind. It's just the way my muse and storylines are headed. Yes I have a muse, my best friend. Lol
Next day- Gabby and Matt's apartment.
"Babe, are you feeling okay?" Matt asked, as they walked through their front door the next morning and put their backpacks down.
"Yeah I'm fine, why?" She asked, walking into the kitchen to get a bottle of water.
"It's just you've been really quiet and will only talk to Shay if you have problems." Matt said, following her and watching her grab her water bottle.
"If you have a problem with that then you can tell me now!" Gabby hissed, slamming the water bottle down onto the bench.
"I just want you to know that you can come to me if you need to talk to someone Gabby!" Matt said, throwing his hands up in exasperation.
"I am so not dealing with this right now." Gabby yelled, grabbing her handbag and her keys before walking out the front door and slamming it behind her.
"Ugh! Women!" Matt growled to himself before going upstairs and getting some sleep.
Shay and Severide's Apartment
"Who could that be?" Shay mumbled to herself as she walked from the kitchen to the front door and opened to reveal her best friend standing there crying.
"I'm sorry...I have no where else to go!" Gabby sobbed, falling into her best friend's arm.
"What-" Shay started but then remembered Gabby would go to Antonio but they were away camping at Pierce Lake. "Come in sweetie."
"Thanks Shay," Gabby sobbed, as they sat down on the lounge in the open planned living room/kitchen/dining room.
"Tell me what happened sweetie," Shay said, handing Gabby a box of Kleenex to wipe away her tears.
"We got home and he asked if I was feeling okay. I said I was. Then he said that I've been really quiet and go to you all the time with my problems, mind you I don't. I go to Antonio most of the time. And then we fought and I walked out and went to Antonio's before remembering that they were away, then I came here." Gabby said, taking a tissue and blowing her nose.
"Oh sweetie, you can stay here as long as you want until you're ready to talk to Matt. Have you slept yet?" She asked, leading her up the stairs and towards the guest bedroom.
"No not yet, I think I might just head over to Mom and Dad's. I don't want to intrude on you and Kelly." Gabby said, trying to turn around and go back downstairs.
"You're not intruding Dawson, go get some sleep and I will talk to Matt later." Kelly said, from the doorway of his bedroom.
"Thankyou Kelly," Gabby said gratefully before closing the bedroom door behind her.
"Is she going to be okay?" Kelly asked, following Shay downstairs and into the kitchen.
"Yeah, she should be okay. I will talk to her later." Shay replied, handing him a cup of coffee and a bagel.
"Are these freshly made?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at her as he took a bite.
"What do you think dummy?" She replied, smirking at him as she took a bite out of her own and picked up her phone to text Antonio what was happening.
Pierce Lake
"Morning you two, are you ready to go for a hike after breakfast?" Antonio asked, as they all walked out of their tents dressed and ready for the day.
"Not really," Eva mumbled, as she helped Laura with setting up breakfast.
"Eva, we're going and that's final." Laura warned, handing her plates to give to her father and brother.
"Fine," She mumbled again, and sat down next to her father and started eating her breakfast.
"Chin up sis, it will be fun." Diego commented, looking at his older sister with a lopsided smirk on his face.
"I'll give you chin up in a minute." Eva retorted, pulling a face exact the same to what Gabby used to pull at Antonio.
"Mom! Eva is threatning me!" Diego yelped, trying to move away from Eva as much as he could.
"Diego, she hasn't done anything. Sit down properly and eat." Laura said, sitting across from her family and watching Eva and Diego with a careful eye.
"Okay Momma," Diego replied, sitting down and finishing his breakfast and waiting for the others to finish.
"Whats wrong Antonio?" Laura asked after breakfast as they were cleaning up.
"Gabs and Matt had a fight, this morning. She came looking for us but forgot that we were away. I will ring her later, right now I want to spend as much time with my wife and kids as I can." Antonio said, turning off his phone and wrapping Laura in a hug.
"We will both ring her later, after the kids have gone to bed." Laura said, kissing him before turning back to the backpacks she was packing for the hike.
"Smart woman," Antonio said, going to round up the kids.
"I know I am babe." She called after him, smirking a little.
Chicago-Shay and Severide's Apartment 12.00pm
"Hey, you're up!" Kelly called from his spot on the lounge while Shay was making lunch.
"Hey." Gabby mumbled, wiping the sleep from her eyes as she walked down the spiral staircase.
"Hey girl, how are you feeling?" Shay asked, wrapping her best friend in a tight hug.
"Better thanks. I don't know what I would do without you," Gabby said, pulling back from the hug and helping her make sandwiches for the three of them.
"You would survive, but I'm not going anywhere for a long time." Shay said, bumping her hip with Gabby's.
"I don't know what I would do without you either Shay," Severide said, joining them in the kitchen and kissing both their heads as they prepared lunch together, the scene would of made a great snapshot if someone had a camera with them.
"Like I said, I'm not going anywhere for a long time." Shay repeated, handing Severide a plate with a sandwich on it and they all went and sat down.
"Good," they both replied, as they ate lunch together. None of them knowing that there time together will be cut short in a few weeks.
Pierce Lake-12.30pm
"I can't believe you threw a lizard at me Diego!" Eva exclaimed, as they family returned to their camp after a long hike along the trail next to their camp site.
"It was funny though," Diego said, still laughing at his sister's reaction.
"It wasn't Diego, go sit down." Laura said, glaring at her husband who was trying to contain his laughter as much as he could.
"Your mother is right Diego, it was wrong. Now go think about what you did." Antonio said, turning to face his son.
"Yes Daddy," Diego said, still laughing slightly about what he did as he sat next to his sister on the fold out chairs they brought.
"It wasn't funny Antonio," Laura said, as Antonio helped her make lunch for them all.
"Babe, you gotta admit. It was a little funny. I saw you hiding a small smirk." Antonio said, poking her in the side while kissing her cheek.
"Alright, it was a little funny. But it was still wrong." Laura said, smacking him on the arm as they brought lunch over to the kids.
"I agree." He said, sitting down next to Eva and settling into his chair.
