CHAPTER 25
Paige POV
I don't know what happen last night Spencer just left without even saying goodbye. What if something bad happen to her? Did Alison say something that upsets her? I decided to have a walk this early in the morning besides I can't also sleep too.
There are a lot of things running on my mind and I didn't notice the person in front of me
"Sorry" I say to the person whom I accidentally bumped with
"It's..." someone said then I notice who the person in front of me is
"Spence" I say then I can't help but smile
"Paige, I.. I need to go" She said then my smile turns out to be a frown.
"Wait, Did I do something?" I asked then she looked at me.
"What? no, no of course not" She said then she give me a smile. Then I ducked my head
"Why did you leave last night?" I asked but she turns her head and now she is not looking at me. But she didn't answer
"Paige, do you believe that you will never know what you have till you lose it." She asked then she started to walk then I follow her but she is still looking straight ahead.
"Yeah I guess" I asked then I looked ahead then I notice that the sun is starting to rise.
"I don't want to get so caught up in searching for what I can't see, that I lose sight of what I can." She said still not looking at me. I don't know what's going on with Spencer when I'm about to ask something about it she looked at me then give me a small smile.
"Whoever loses will pay for the breakfast!" She said then she started running.
"Wait! Hastings you're unfair!" Then I run off too. Then we are both laughing while running to the brew.
Emily POV
My shift here at the brew was moved this early in the morning. There we're a few customers but not that hassle unlike on the afternoon and evening shift. Our last customer just leave a few minutes ago so here I'am left alone with my boss I'm thankful that there is some sound system in here or else it would be boring as hell in here

I' m busy cleaning the tables when I heard that someone is comes through the door.
"Good morning" I greeted the person who entered. Then I saw that it was Alison.
She just gave me her fake smile then she proceeds to the counter.
"Hi Emily I didn't know you work this early" She said then settled down on the chair next to the table I'm cleaning
"Uhm. Yeah I there we're some adjustments but this only for today." I said
"Owww. So how's last night I saw You and Hanna dancing and laughing" She said then smirked at me
That, we're good, why did you asked?" Then when I'm about to turn on my heel she grabbed my arm
"Awww! What?"
I'm forced to duck then she whispered something
"What about you and McCullers?" She said then give me a devious smile. I'm glad that my jaw didn't dropped on the floor. I'm speechless and can't find any words to say.
"I'm just kidding! Em" She said then winked at me
"I know that, You, are just looking out for her" She said seriously Then she looked at the coffee she is holding.
"Em! I didn't know you're here this early in the morning!" I heard Spencer's voice then when I looked at her I saw that Paige just walk in behind her.
"Hey Hastings! You're unfair!" She said then she looked up and when she saw me. A smile appeared on her beautiful face and I find myself smiling at her too.
"HI Em! "Paige greeted me energetically. Then Alison peeked and she give Paige a devious smile.
"Hi there Paigey" She said then she waved at Paige
"Alison what are you doing here!" Paige said in shock
"Well I'm about to meet Hanna to plan something for our little date" Then she winks at Paige.
"Hey Em what do suggest to eat this early in the morning?" Spencer inquired then she pushed me to the counter.
Paige POV
Spencer ordered something so I guess I'm the one who need to handle Alison so I sit in front of her.
"So Paige, are you ready for our little date later?" She said then she texted someone.
"Yeah I guess what do you want to do?" I asked her so I won't be surprised
"I'll think about it and I'll let you know" She said then she looked at the counter where Spencer is walking towards us.
"Hey McCullers here's your breakfast I really need to go now" She said then give me a toothy smile. That I willingly returned.
"I'm sure you'll be a cute couple" someone said then I saw Hanna sitting beside Alison. How did she get there!? Am I starring for a long time?
I can't help but blush at the comment then Spencer clears her throat.
"Okay I really need to go now, Bye guys" Then Emily walks to our table then she put our order on it.
"You're already leaving?" She asked her bestfriend
"Yeah I really need to go but I promise to make it up to all of you some other time, bye" Then she leaves
"Em what can you suggest?" Hanna said then she stood up from her sit
"Let's go I'll help you order" Emily said then Hanna hugged Emily from behind. Then I sigh.
"Are you jealous?" Alison asked me. Then I looked at her with confusion in my face
"Huh why would I be jealous?"
"You're really obsessed with this huh?"
"I just get pissed off when these kind of complicated things happen. I know both sides of their story and I know that it may..." I answered, still looking at Emily and Hanna laughing at something I can't over hear. But she cut me off before I can finish
"This is how a little sister feels when her sister is about to get married or is having a boyfriend/girlfriend" Then she giggled so I looked at her.
"I wouldn't know it's not like I have a sister or brother" I answered then I drink some of my coffee.
"Not allowing her to fall, get hurt or cry. Watching someone precious and close to you will be taken away by someone. Not knowing if that someone will treasure her as much as you do." She said looking outside the window.
"I never had those thoughts." I simply said then shake my head
"Surely it won't be fun for you to watch the two of them date now because you know what each of them really feel or do you really know? " Then she looked at me straight in the eye.
"You're not her sister or any other relative but you treasure her and determined not to lay a hand on. You already have another woman in your heart. Like you're having some role playing you know what each of your role is. Like pretending to be the sister who has a crush on her bigger sister's friend."
"Arghhh what are you saying!?" I groaned
"Why do you have to pretend these things? Your relationship with Emily seems really unnatural. I think you should stop this childish thing. You've been making mistakes all along. Why don't you wake up before you or one of you gets hurt even more? Maybe you should forget everything and just start over." She said and now returned her gaze outside the window.

"Then... you could also give me a chance" The girl staring at the beautiful sunrise mumbled under her breath

"huh? What?" I asked her when I didn't understand what she just say
"Never mind pretend that you don't hear something. What was I even talking about? Just forget everything I said. After all what you really don't understand is you yourself." She said then stood up then I saw Hanna is now standing beside our table
"I just need to go to the restroom" Alison said then Hanna smiled at her
"Okay take your time besides I need to have some alone time with my little Paigey" Hanna said then she sits beside me.
The sun will set after few hours when I received a text from Alison. That she is in front of my house. I'am here at the Fields house hanging out with tippy and Pam. Emily have straight shift today. She is really exhausting herself.
"Pam thanks for the lunch I need to meet Alison bye" I said when she descend from the stairs.
"Okay take care, are you having supper with us?" She asked
"I don't know yet I'll just inform Em when I already know." I answered
"Bye Tippy" I touch tippy's head. We're in good terms now I guess
"Arkkkk..Bye!" The annoying bird replied. Then I giggled
"both of you are in good terms now?" Pam asked then she sit on the couch
"Yeah I guess Bye again" Then I went outside to meet Alison
"Hey Ali what do you want to do?" I asked her
"I don't know let's just order take out and watch some movie" She shrugged
"Okay I thought you want something fancy" I said in low voice then opened the door
"I just wanted some time with you." Then she wink at me.
"Haha really?"
"So what do you want to order?" I asked then I walk to my room to get the DVD's
"I thought your house was a mess" She said then sits on the couch
"Well before this house is really a mess but..."
"Emily" She said
"Well yea Em" So what do you want?
"Anything just, pick anything" I nod then head inside my room.
The movie ended I think I've slept at some point because I didn't know how did Alison's head ended up in my shoulder. I'm about to wake her up when she say something
"Paige "
I tried to detach myself from her but she tightens her grip on my arm
"Please Stay" She said in pleading voice
"Ahmmm ...okay." I said then slouch back on the sofa
"Do you believe that the thing you wished for the most is something you'll never get?" She said then I looked at her but I can't see her face
"Yeah I believe in that but" I say then I looked up at the ceiling
"If something is meant for you then it is for you no matter what happen it will end up being yours" I replied
"Yeah it really sucks"
She said then I felt that she giggled
I now that all of Alison's bitchiness is just to hide her true self. As I know her I started to understand her. She's a good person with horrible way of expressing it.
"You know Paige Sometimes I jealous of you" She said
"Me?! Why?"
"I don't know because you're being just yourself and still there are a lot of people who wants you" She said still leaning in my shoulder
"You're so stubborn violent sarcastic and short tempered" She continued
"And still they want you"
"You don't need to hide Alison. Everybody wants you and I know they will like you more when you show the real you" I shrugged
"I'm just like you tough exterior but deep inside a softie" I said then she straightens up and looks at me.
"And we both do everything for the one that we love your just more sadistic than me" I giggled but I'm cut off when she gathered her things
"But seriously I know you're a good person. You just have different ways to show it" I said then I stood up from the couch then looked at her
"As long as there's at least one person who understands me, I'll be okay." She said then walks towards the door
"Bye Paige" She said then she entered in her car and drove away
