Takato: A lot has happened to me that are excited, shocked and depressing. First, I reunite with Taichi and Daisuke inside my own house, then to discover Taichi's my cousin, and about Daisuke's situation, then finally our Digital Worlds are now combined to become one! But the depressing part is that some sort of vines takes our partners away, together with the Digiegg of Miracles and most of the 3 of our energy. Both Taichi and I are taking it better than Daisuke, who is crushed that Veemon's gone. I could only do so little to comfort him, but that doesn't change the fact that our partners are out there somewhere, and we'll do whatever it takes to get them back!

Chapter 25: Right Here Waiting
It's been a whole month since Taichi, Daisuke and Takato had their partners kidnapped, and so far no one has found any clues of the kidnapping.
Taichi and Daisuke have no choice but to tell the other senior Destined, Iori and Ken the truth that they promise not to tell them since they already know about the Tamers existence because of the D-Reaper incident. Some of them did managed to try and scout the entire Digital World to find any clues, but they always come back with nothing.
What's worse is that both Gabumon and Palmon are nowhere to be found either, making the search progressed slower and harder since they now have 2 more Digimons to look for.
"I thought it is bad enough with our partners missing, but now Yamato and Mimi's are gone too?!" said Taichi as he, along with Daisuke and Takato are making some bread at the bakery.
"Yeah," agrees Takato, rolling the dough into a round shape, "it's a good thing Mimi doesn't know about this since she's still in America for any of us to inform her."
"Not to mention only the Digimons could help find any clues since us humans are busy with school and everything else." Taichi stated, shaping the dough he's holding.
There's a moment of silence before both Taichi and Takato hears Daisuke sighs a bit. Turning their attention towards the Miracles Destined, they spotted him forming the dough he's holding into a shape that looks like Veemon's head.
"Daisuke," Takato calls him, getting the burgundy boy's attention. When he finally notices what he accidentally made, Daisuke couldn't help but slightly blush in embarrassment.
"Sorry, I don't know what got over me." Daisuke's about to deform the bread he made when Takato stops him by grabbing his hands.
Daisuke looks at Takato in confusion before the Tamer said, "I know you miss him so much and couldn't help but do what you did. I mean, Taichi and I are practically doing the same thing."
That got Daisuke's attention and he noticed the bread Takato and Taichi did are shaped in their respective partners head.
"I know it's tough," Takato admitted, placing a hand on Daisuke's shoulder, "but we're gonna have to deal with it."
Daisuke stares at the ground for a sec before asking, "Do you guys think that maybe our partners aren't in the Digital World?"
That got Taichi's attention after he place the breads they made into the oven. "Why would you say that? There's no way they'll be in the Human World, so they have to be in the Digital World."
"No wait, I think he meant they're not in the Digital World we're looking at." Takato said, catching on what the question meant.
"You think that our partners could be in one of the other Digital Worlds out there?" Taichi asked, getting on what Daisuke's really asking.
"Maybe," admitted Daisuke, "I mean there's chance that hole our partners were forced to enter leads to a different Digital World." Daisuke looks at Taichi with a slight determined look on his face. "And we know at least 3 other Digital Worlds out there they could be at."
"You mean the one Takuya, Marcus and Taiki have their own adventure?" asked Takato, earning a nod from Daisuke.
"You may be right," Taichi place a hand on his chin with his eyes close in thought before looking back at both Daisuke and Takato, "and we'd better ask Koushiro for some help just to see if we can find a way to know if that hole does lead to another Digital World, and which one could it be."
Both Takato and Daisuke agree, just when they heard the timer going off, indicating the breads are ready.
"I'll get it." Takato takes the tray out, showing 3 nicely baked breads, each in the shape of one of their partner's head.
Daisuke takes the Veemon head shape bread and stare at the red berries used as eyes in thought, "Yeah, we'll definitely find them soon."
/ (Later at Koushiro's place,)
"Well there is a chance you might be right," Koushiro admitted after Taichi, Daisuke and Takato explains what they discuss about the 3 kidnapped Digimons are in a different Digital World, "but how can we be sure if they weren't just taken away into someplace hidden in the Digital World where they were last seen."
"Please Koushiro, at least try and figure out where the hole has taken them too," pleaded Takato.
"I could try," the Knowledge Destined said, "but I can only tell if they're still in our combined Digital World, or a completely different one, nothing else."
"At least we can inform the other Digimons whether to keep searching for them or just any clues on which world they might be in." Taichi stated as Koushiro get to work.
After a couple of hours, Koushiro finally manage to find something on his research.
"I did exactly what you guys insisted I do, and I have good news and bad news." Koushiro said, getting the other 3 humans attention.
"Really?" said Taichi.
"Seriously?!" said Daisuke as he perks up from where he was lying on the bed.
"What news?" Takato asked.
"The good news is your partners ARE located in a completely different Digital World than the one we're currently looking for them." Koushiro stated, causing the 3 Heroes to grin widely.
"I knew it!" Daisuke cheered as he pumps a fist in the air in victory, "I knew that hole took our partners to a different Digital World."
"I'm SO glad we decided to see if your theory's right, Daisuke," Takato grinned out as he look at the burgundy boy.
"Which Digital World are they in?" Taichi asked in slight excitement.
"Well that's the bad news…" said Koushiro, making the smiles drop a little. He sighs before turning back to his laptop, ready with the other half of the results. "I have no idea which Digital World they are in."
"What?" Daisuke and Takato gasps.
"What do you mean you don't know which one they're in?" Taichi asked, walking up to Koushiro.
"I managed to track your partners trail through their Digital Code Line and it shows that they did leave the Digital World where it all started, but I lost the trail as soon as I try and follow it outside of the dimension." Koushiro explains to them, "I know that they at least ended up in a different Digital World because the Digital Code Line of the hole shows a foreign coding than the one from our combined one."
"Can't you use that coding to try and find out which Digital World it could be?" asked Takato.
"I would, but the coding I got is too small for me to trace which Digital World could it be," Koushiro admitted, looking down slightly, "I'm sorry I couldn't provide the information you're hoping to hear."
There was a moment of silence before Daisuke said, "It's alright. At least you've done your best." He gets off of the bed and walks up towards the door.
Both Taichi and Takato look at one another before the Tamer follows after Daisuke. Taichi turns to look at Koushiro saying, "Thanks for your help anyway." Then he gets up and walks after the other 2.
/ (Near the park,)
Daisuke's sitting on one of the benches, sulking a bit. He sighs before hearing 2 set of footsteps nearby. He looks up to find both Taichi and Takato sitting on either side of him, a slight worried expression on their face.
"Daisuke," started Takato, but Daisuke stops him.
"It's alright," Daisuke reassures, getting up. "I-I think I'll have a walk to clear my mind a bit."
Takato was about to go after him, but Taichi stops him. Takato looks at Taichi in confusion, but Taichi shakes his head, signaling to let Daisuke go. The Tamer looks at Daisuke's retreating form sadly before noticing Taichi getting up and leaving himself.
"Where are you going?" asked Takato.
"I decided to take Daisuke's example and have a walk myself," Taichi said, not bothering to look at Takato, "We'll meet you back at your place before dinner," and with that, Taichi leaves Takato all alone in the park.

Daisuke's walking into the music room of the Odaiba High School with a sad look on his face and headed towards the piano located there. No one knows this, but Daisuke has a musical talent of singing and playing both guitar and piano. Well, everyone except his partner.
Every time Daisuke feels terrible, he would always sneak into the music room of his school and play a song that express his feelings to try and make him feel better. And now he needs to do it more than ever.
Taking position at the piano, Daisuke starts playing a sad but beautiful piece, humming along with it before he starts to sing,

Oceans apart,
Day after day,
And I slowly go insane.
Taichi's walking as he remember the day he first met Agumon, chuckling at the memory of how he panic like he's gone insane when he first saw Koromon on his stomach.
I hear your voice,
On the line,
But it doesn't stop the pain.
He then remembers how happy he was hearing Agumon again after they've been separated after their first adventure during the Diaboromon incident, but look down sadly since it also reminds him of how badly hurt WarGreymon was during the fight.
If I see you next to never,
How can we say forever?
Taichi back then sometimes wonder if he and Agumon could be together forever since they hardly see one another since after he returned from DigiQuartz until Daisuke becomes a DigiDestined.

I took for granted,

That I thought would last somehow.
He continues playing as a memory of the good times he spent with Veemon that he took for granted.
I hear the laughter,
I taste the tears,
But I can't get near you now.
Daisuke remembers the laughter DemiVeemon made when he gives the dragon a bath, as well as the tears in his eyes when the dragon first discovered Daisuke's self-harm actions.

Daisuke admits his partner does make him go crazy sometimes, but that's how the dragon express that he cares for him.

I wonder how we can survive,
This romance.
Takato sighs while walking back home as he remembers the day he first met Guilmon, how he felt an immediate bond forming between them that's like a brotherly love kind.
But in the end if I'm with you,
I'll take the chance!
He knows that if the path he along with Tachi and Daisuke are on now leads to meeting their partners again, he'll take the chance.

Daisuke stops singing and plays another piece as he and the other 2 Heroes grief as the event of their partners kidnapping flash in their minds again,
Flashback (Italic=past event)
"Taichi help!"
"Daisuke save me!"
"Takatomon!"
The 3 Heroes tried to move and help, but they are so drained that all 3 of them could only watch as their partners enter the hole together with the 3 orbs that are filled with their energy and the Digiegg of Miracles. The last thing they heard from their partners when the hole closes is each of them calling up to them.
"Agumon, no!" Taichi managed to support himself by a nearby tree after he got back on his feet.
"Guil-mon…" Takato whimpered a little, trying to get up.
But the pain both Taichi and Takato felt is probably nothing compared to what Daisuke's feeling.
They heard the burgundy boy whimper a bit before it turns into a sob, and then he starts to cry his heart out and brought his hands to cover his eyes that has tears flowing out of them.
"Veemon… Veemon… No… Not another one, please…" Daisuke continues to cry as Taichi and Takato head closer to him with what's left of their energy to comfort him.
End Flashback

Tears start building up in their eyes as the harsh reality of their partners kidnapping finally sinks in.

Takato covers his face with his hands, trying to stop the tears flowing down his cheek with not much luck.

Taichi gritted his teeth as he wipes furiously the tears in his eyes, trying to hold back more of them that are forming.
Waiting for you…
Daisuke ends the song beautifully and starts sobbing uncontrollably again. He gets up and discovers he receive a message from Taichi telling him to head back to Takato's place before dinner.
Sighing, Daisuke leaves the music room thinking, 'I'll be waiting for you Veemon, no matter how long the wait will be.'

I decided to add the song since it seems to fit the situation well, and to see if you guys don't mind a slow song in a fan fiction chapter so that my decision on finding THE song is a lot easier (For those that I've been sending PM for song suggestions knows what I'm talking about)
