Ch.25 Grim Fates Part II: A rude awakening

(Where we left off)

Tapper would hand Akio another bottle of Scotch

Akio would take a large swig as Ralph would look at him confused and in disbelief

"What do you mean I've been lied to?"

Akio would look at him

"That you've been lied to…how else am I supposed to say it?"

Ralph would put both his hands on the table

"We both know what I meant…"

"Get your Felix and Calhoun here…they need to listen to this…and take care of him…-he'd nod towards Swizzle seating in a nearby booth-…then I'll talk…"

Ralph would notice Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Liu Kang sitting at a table drinking and laughing

"So the player takes Johnny Cage…then fumes when I all but own him in our fight…" Liu Kang would tell Sub-Zero and Scorpion

"I don't know why people take him…none of his moves are nice, his fatality sucks…and he's an annoyance…" Scorpion would state

"Like people saying your better than me…" Sub-Zero would state

"Shut up…"

Ralph would walk over to the 3

"Hey guys…you know the daredevil Swizzle over there?"

All 3 would look at Ralph. "Yea…" They'd respond in unison

"Well…-he'd look at Scorpion-…he said your overall the weakest character…and that players only take you since they like our moves…"

Scorpion would begin fuming

Ralph would look at Liu Kang. "He also said Kung Loa is the better descendant of the Great Kung Lao…"

Ralph would look at Sub-Zero. "And said your just an emotional man-child with over the top fatalities…"

All 3 fighters would get up from the table as Ralph would return to Akio

"Part 1 done…" He'd state

(With Swizzle)

He'd be face timing Jubileena

"What's Akio doing?" Jubileena would ask

"He's revealing things to Ralph…"

"Stop him…now…"

"I'm on it…"

Swizzle would go to leave the booth when Liu Kang, Sub-Zero and Scorpion would block his path

"Why are you saying things that aren't remotely true?" Liu Kang would ask a hint of anger in his voice

"Swizzle what's going on?" Jubileena would ask

Sub-Zero would tower over Swizzle. "Care to explain how in frozen hell I'm a man-child?"

Swizzle would take a step back. "I have no idea what your talking about…"

Scorpion would suddenly grab Swizzle by the collar yelling his signature line. "GET OVER HERE!" He'd pull Swizzle over to him

Jubileena would watch Swizzle's beat down flinching watching every hit

"Eesh…" She'd close her phone

"So what stupid thing is Akio doing now?" Vanellope would ask as she'd relax in her throne

"He's about to reveal the truth to Ralph…"

"Ralph won't believe a word Akio says…not without evidence…" Vanellope would hold her princess wand

"About that…" Jubileena would start

Vanellope eye's would narrow and her tone would go dark. "I thought you had it…"

Rancis would drag Torvald up the Fungeon stairs but would freeze seeing the look on Vanellope's face

Jubileena would clear her throat. "Well…umm…uh…" Jubileena would nervously try to find her words

Vanellope would snap her wand in 2. "What…HAPPENED?!"

(Back at Tappers)

Calhoun and Felix would join Ralph and Swizzle

"This better be good…" Calhoun would state

Akio would hand her Gloyd's memory key

"Watch this then tell me if Vanellope is still a sweet little girl..."

Calhoun would hook the key into a small portable laptop she brought with her

Ralph, Felix and Calhoun would watch the footage in horror as Akio would down another bottle of Scotch

"Another Tapper…"

"That'll make 6 since last night…"

"Tapper I'm paying for the bottles so shut your bloody trap and give me another damn bottle…"

"Where did you get this memory key?" Ralph would ask

"Consider it Gloyd's last trick…"

-Flashback-

Akio would be heading to the open ceremony of the tournament when Gloyd would stop him

"Akio…I have something important to give you…"

"What is it?" Akio would ask

"It may not make sense now…but if and when I die…hopefully this…-he'd give Akio his memory key-…will help you see just how far Vanellope has gone…"

Akio would look at Gloyd. "Why do you trust me with this?"

"Besides Lodhi you're the only other person who already fully knows everything…Lodhi is under a microscope…but since your with someone on Vanellope's side…when they come looking for the memory key…you're the last one they'd think to look…"

-End Flashback-

"Where's Gloyd?" Felix would ask

"Dead…like everyone on Torvald's side…"

"We have to do something!" Ralph would state

"It's too late for them Ralph…too late for everyone…by this time tomorrow…my code will probably be corrupted…"

"You don't have to go back…" Calhoun would state

"I do…Lodhi texted me…he's planning something…I'll buy him the time he needs…if it fails…just let us rot in peace…"

Akio would take his bottle of Scotch and leave Tapper's

"I need to fix this…" Ralph would state

(Back at the castle)

"From video footage…we can easily tell Akio has the memory key…" Jubileena would state nervously

"Mine telling me why he still has it?!" Vanellope would be furious

Snowanna would nervously walk into the throne room

"Swizzle said Akio is heading back…he should be easy to take down…he drank 6 large bottles of Scotch…"

"No it won't! Lodhi, Phipps and Akio can drink vast amounts of liquor and remain perfectly sober! It's in their codes!" Vanellope would shout

"Want him brought in?" Rancis would ask from the Fungeon steps

"WHAT DO YOU THINK?!" Vanellope would snap at him

Vanellope would turn to Snowanna and Jubileena

Both would cower in fear never before seeing her this furious

"Get Nougetsia and get that Scotch drinking fucking idiot in my throne room before the day is done! No one and I mean no one is taking this victory from me!"

Both racers would nod and run out of the throne room as Vanellope would look at Rancis

"Bring Torvald to the observation room…"

Rancis would nod and bring Torvald to a room with a large window overlooking a large cell in the Fungeon

"Why am I here?" Torvald would ask

Vanellope would stand in the doorway

"One last game…"

"What kind of game?" Torvald would ask nervously

The light in the cell would turn on revealing Minty, Sticky and Herschel on 3 rollers

"Trivia with multiple choice answers…" Vanellope would chuckle. "With their lives in your hands…"

Torvald would look at her horrified

(Meanwhile)

Akio would be finishing his bottle and looking at a text from Lodhi as he'd walk into Sugar Rush

"Hopefully your plan works brother…"

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE AKIO!" Jubileena, Snowanna and Nougetsia would appear their guns drawn

Akio would look over his shoulder and see a badly beaten Swizzle approaching with his gun drawn

"You fucking bastard…" Swizzle would mutter

Akio would finish his bottle and look at the bottle. "Can never get enough of this…"

Jubileena would fire a shot that would shatter the bottle

Akio would look at her silently

"We know your not drunk Akio…we know the damage you were trying to do…you have a lot to answer for…I suggest you surrender…before things get ugly…"

Akio would silently put his hands behind his hand

All 4 race4rs would approach him cautiously as Akio would smirk

"Your all scared out of your minds…it hurts your reaction time…"

"Prove it…" Snowanna would state

"With pleasure…" Akio would quickly throw a smoke bomb

The smoke would clear in a matter of seconds and Akio would be gone

All 4 would look around them and see Akio at the bottom of the bridge waving at them

"GET HIM!"

Akio would run into the forest and right into Marcy

"Akio we need to talk…"

"Not the nest moment Marcy…"

"Follow me…I know a place where we'll have time…" She'd run deeper into the forest

Akio would silently follow

(Meanwhile in GCS)

Felix and Calhoun would head to Felix's game

"Wait…where's Ralph?" Felix would ask

Ralph would be standing at the entrance to Sugar Rush

"I know you told me to stay away Akio…but I caused this…I have to fix it…"
