Danny was on his motorcycle, riding to his first day as a high school junior. He passed by a coffee shop and waved to someone he recognized as he rode past.

Sam returned Danny's wave as she sat outside, waiting for Ember to come with their drinks. About ten seconds later, she arrived. She had sat down and handed Sam her coffee. They sat for a while and made small talk before Ember mentioned something she needed to talk about.

"I've got a big problem, Sam," Ember said.

"What is it?" Sam asked. "Did that record deal you were offered fall through?"

"Not yet, but that is extremely likely," Ember said. "You know Lenny, my drummer?"

"The druggie?"

"That's him. Anyway, when he heard about the record deal, he went out to celebrate by buying a lot of coke just as his dealer was getting busted by the cops."

"Ouch," Sam said sympathetically. "So, how will this affect your record deal?"

"Poorly, I imagine," Ember replied. "Unless I get a new drummer by tomorrow, hint hint."

"Wait, you want me to be your new drummer?" Sam asked and Ember nodded yes. "There's a slight problem with that: I don't know how to play drums."

"It's super easy," Ember said reassuringly. "I imagine: if that burnout Lenny could do it, how hard could it be?"

"Good point," Sam conceded. "I'll give it a shot, but I make no promises."

"That's all I ask," Ember said as she held out her hand so she and Sam could shake on it. Sam took it and shook.

….

Danny made it Casper High and walked into the school. He saw Tucker and walked up to him.

"Hey Tucker," Danny said.

"Hey Danny," Tucker replied and they both continued walking. "Worried about how we're going to balance school with our other duties?"

"Yes, but I'm confident we'll adapt," Danny said. "The mirror monsters haven't been up to a lot lately: if we spread it out among all of us, it shouldn't be too hard." Danny looked past Tucker and saw Dash approach them. "Uh oh."

Danny's fears were for nothing as Dash just gave them a dirty look and walked past.

"What was that about?" Danny asked, pleased but greatly confused that Dash had decided to pass on his usual sadistic jackassery.

"Maybe Dash learned an important lesson about picking on those weaker than him," Tucker said with a mischievous grin.

"What did you do?" Danny asked with a dark look. Tucker had approached him once about the possibility of using their rider powers to make Dash stop his bullying and while Danny had refused and tried to talk Tucker out of such an abuse of power, he strongly suspected that Tucker had ignored his advice.

"I just approached him as Wing Knight and told him bullying people," Tucker began. "He said I was a crazy guy in a bad Batman costume and almost broke his hand when he punched my armor. I then pushed him to ground, told him that if he stopped bullying people he would never see me again and then left: that's all. If Dash doesn't escalate things, I won't."

Danny thought about this. On one hand, Tucker abused his rider powers for personal revenge. On the other hand, getting Dash to stop his bullying protected all his victims from future torment and it was hard to think of ways of how that was a bad things. Besides which, Tucker could have done a lot worst to Dash if he choose to. Taking these things into account, Danny decided to drop the matter.

"I'm going to hold you to that," Danny said. "One last thing: keep your distance from Star. We can't let people know that we've gotten somewhat closer to her lately."

"Fine," Tucker said begrudgingly.

After school, Danny and Tucker made their way to an office building lobby where Star was waiting for them. They checked in at the front desk and rode an elevator to their destination.

"Hey Star," Tucker said flirtatiously.

"Can it Foley," Star said. "You're lucky I grace you with my presence by with you on a professional basis. And I know about how went to Dash in rider form and intimidated him out of his bullying."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Tucker lied. "And even if I did, what makes you think it was me?"

"I overheard Dash talking about how he was ambushed by a guy in weird bat-themed armor who was stronger than he looked," Star said. "I immediately thought of you."

"Is this going to be a problem?" Tucker asked as the elevator arrived at their floor.

"No," Star answered as they started walking. "I don't know what you did to Dash but I know he deserved it. And the fact that he was able to come to school at all means you showed relatively good restraint. But I don't think Ms. Jones would like to her about you using your armor like that. I won't tell her anything if you don't use you it for any other personal reasons and lay off Dash unless he forces your hand."

"Thank you Star," Tucker said. "You're so kind and tough and smarter than everyone at school gives you credit for."

"And you're apparently not as smart as I gave you credit for, because you've already forgotten what I said about canning it," Star retorted.

The three teens reached the office of Desiree Jones, their handler/mentor for being Kamen Riders. About six weeks ago, Danny, Tucker and Star were contacted by Ms. Jones and told about how the world was being by monsters that could travel through mirrors. She gave them these weird card deck things that were made by the company she worked for that would turn them into armored warriors called Kamen Riders. The three of them thought it was weird that out of all the people in the world, they were picked for this but Ms. Jones said that she saw untapped potential in them and refused to comment further.

The teens walked into the office and saw Desiree Jones behind a desk. She was a woman of Arabic descent with long dark hair and wearing a pink woman's business suit with gold trims. She was in her early 40's and held herself with an air of confidence.

"Good afternoon," Desiree said. "There hasn't been any mirror monster activity today so I don't have anywhere to check specifically. We'll split into three teams and do a search of Mirror World," she said as she took out a map with highlighted lines. "I'll take this route, Danny and Star will take this route and Tucker, you'll meet up with Valerie at 5th street and take this route. Sound Good?"

The three teens nodded yes and all four of them went over to a long mirror on the side of the office. All of them held out Advent Decks and silver belts appeared and attached themselves around their waists.

"Wrath," Desiree cried out.

"Wing Knight," Tucker cried out.

"Siren," Star cried out

"Phantom Knight," Danny cried out.

The four of them slid their decks into their belts and rings of energy materialized their armors. They jumped into the mirror and entered Mirror World.

Author's notes: and that's it. Sorry for the weak epilogue, this was just to show an idea of what happened after Danny wished for history to be changed. If you enjoyed this story, I would recommend the far superior 'If you don't fight, you won't survive' by Hellbreaker.
