A/N: I apologize for the ridiculous amount of time to wait. I just finished Grand Order, and let me tell you, the story is awesome!

Well, I'll just leave it at that, what with the gacha being the true evil.

Long chapter just for the readers, whew.

Next up is the second season for this series.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything. Credits go to Gen Urobuchi, Nitro+ and TYPE – MOON for Fate/Zero, and Hiroshi Shiibashi for Nurarihyon no Mago.

Chapter 25: Promised Victory

Flight…

Legends across the world told of men and women dreaming of conquering the skies and attempted to make themselves equal with the creatures of flight.

But then, only a handful achieved it, and a very select few lived to tell the tale.

Leonardo da Vinci once made a prototype of that model of a machine that can fly and land on the ground. But the success of the invention is told through the eyes of the Wright brothers. Because of the reinventions, flight is made possible, and warfare only improved its destructive capabilities.

This is considered as humanity's feat, but ancient astronaut theorists beg to differ.

They discovered that flight is made possible by the gods who reigns the skies through an extra – terrestrial aircraft, called the vimana. One author even called it "the chariot of the gods".

They have no idea how right they were, as the Japanese news captured the flight of an unidentified flying object that hovers above them.

It is a model so sophisticated and at the same time so simple, that even they and the Japanese defense force cannot fathom how that model came to be in the first place.

But for the King of Heroes, this is his throne, and it is fitting for a king to sit in a luxurious throne capable of flight.

But one man will dare to take on the skies and dethrone the king from his place.

Ryuunosuke. You have shown me many wonderful things. Now, I am going to keep my promise.

You have shown me some light. Now I will show you mine.

It will bedazzle every single human being living on this earth. I will let you bear witness to the great masterpiece that I am going to paint.

The masterpiece…

I like to call it "suffering".

No, suffering is too weak a word for this.

I now call it "despair".

"Ryuunosuke, let me show you the GREATEST COOL that you will ever see." Caster bellowed as he lets go of his creation and let it run amok in the river of Mion. "In your death, this event will remember what we have done! This will serve as our greatest creation that we have ever done in our entire life that we live on this earth!"

He saw how his only friend dies by the hands of humans, now he will let them taste that feeling.

Desperation to let your friend's memories live through your actions is a powerful phenomenon. The actions of Caster prove to them of such a feat. The other Caster can only sigh at how powerful the being has become even after all of what happened.

And for that, her eyes became even more feral than ever as a Caster challenges her own turf. She now smiled with a predatory smile as she now draws her sword once again.

But this time, her blade now glows like lava that pours down on a volcano. Her blade has become brighter than ever with a heat that can compete with a blacksmith's furnace as she now swings down her blade and setting the grass on fire.

"Even in your Master's death, you remain loyal to your Master's principles. I adore that loyalty, but you must now be burned for your transgressions on our great land." Caster chuckled sinisterly as her eyes now glow in a hazy manner.

"Wait, you don't mean…" Saber is taken aback by Caster's comments. For her, it is impossible for a Caster to defeat another Caster in a battle, unless her strategy consists of suicidal methods that can defeat the monster.

Or in Caster's case…

"Saber, let us take a step back for now…" Rider suggested as he calmly lets Saber walk away from her range. It is then that Saber saw what Rider is talking about. Lancer is approaching on the way when he found himself being treated to a sight never been seen before by his time, Saber's or Rider's.

Her demeanor is so malicious that anyone who gets in her way will suffer her wrath. It is a feat similar to Charisma. But this time, she now emanates pure killing intent, where even Waver and Irisviel wisely took a step back.

"That is not Charisma." Waver can only say what Saber and Irisviel can agree on. Caster now planted her foot steady to the ground…

And leapt at the creature in a manner similar to Berserker's.

"Master of Caster, do you have any idea what you have just summoned?" Saber shouted at the woman, who just looked on in a stoic manner, never minding Saber's anger at the situation.

"Rider will not stand here and wait for her to finish." Kejoro replied, ignoring Saber's anger. "Even with all of her powers, she can only waste it at such a monster. For that, we need a weapon that can finish the monster in a single strike."

"By that, you mean…" Saber narrowed her eyes at the Master, who only continued her discourse.

"Heh, even a weapon like that doesn't exist." Kejoro continued. "The legendary sword of Britain's correct legend is that its swings can hold down three hundred men, not blast away a creature of that magnitude."

"And your Servant can?" Saber asked, to which she replied in a distant manner.

"Don't be ridiculous." She acknowledged of her Servant's limitations. "She's not a goddess that can bring down the creature on her whim."

"And denying that accusation is the same as acknowledging that she is." Rider concluded. "Judging by that…"

He now stopped at what the Master is trying to get at. He now wisely held his tongue.

"No, it is for them to discover." Rider replied as he now readied his chariot and put Waver down. "In the meantime, I will hold down that monster with my Ionioi Hetairoi. Try to figure out your plan of action by then."

Waver tried to protest, but Rider's eyes held a very firm resolve, that even though he is his Master, he has to respect the king's wish. He hated that he cannot do anything about it. Or even if he can do anything about it, he is only limited to three commands.

At that moment, he wished that he has a multitude of Command Seals just to let his Servant take this thing down in one fell swoop.

But then, his Servant would not have any of that. He is standing firm in his decision, evidenced by his commanding voice now turning into an ominous one as he continued.

"Whether you have a plan or not, I'll eventually run out of time and bring this creature back to this place."

Saber and Lancer nodded at the implication that Rider placed. Rider then turned to face Waver.

"Boy, if they now know what to do, just think of me, and I'll send a messenger in my stead." Rider now instructed, to which the boy nodded in agreement. Rider now rode off to see the creature, then he now shouted at Caster.

"You may now get away from here, princess!" He now shouted, to which she can only pout at the missed opportunity. "You must remember that one of royalty should not even waste their enthusiasm on a creature such as this one! Let the king take care of this!"

He now opened his eyes, and slowly, the expanse of the sky is now almost changing. Caster can only follow his instructions, and swiftly got away from the site where he will place his Reality Marble using her freezing talismans.

One after the other, like an afterthought, she placed her freezing talismans strategically in such a way that it can let her find the best route of escape. She is too focused on the task that she did not even notice a boat going opposite from the site where she is now escaping from.

And on that boat, there is a man that can shift the attention of those who watch the Holy Grail War indefinitely.

"▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄████" The mad beast roared as he takes on the golden king, who casually soar the sky like a god ascending to his real throne.

But the mad beast won't have any of that. Ebony spikes appear on what was once a military jet supposed to survey the area and report back to the authorities if necessary. It now looks like a wyvern gone wild, scouring the area for fresh meat.

The mad knight aboard the jet did not help matters as he now looks like someone from the medieval legends, only that the knight's goal is taking down the light from the throne instead of adoring it.

"Huh, so the mad beast now attempts to reach towards the throne of the gods and be equal with me." The king smirked at the pathetic attempt. "Let me show you how someone of my standing conquers the skies."

No sooner than he said that, did the enigmatic throne opened wide its wings in response to the king's wishes. It then promptly flew high above, the mad beast pursuing the throne at speeds and gravitational pulls that humans can die from.

Both aircrafts now fly and turn at speeds incomprehensible to man as they chase each other at the abysmal expanse that humanity calls the sky.

At that point, the man in the golden armor decided to open his vault and release his weapons, aiming at the black creature that dared to soar above him. Each of his weapons aimed at the ebony metal beast is designed to mutilate him gravely to the point of death.

But the false knight would not have any of that. He momentarily jumped up, leaving his metallic wyvern behind, and began to catch, kick and swing all six of his Noble Phantasms back to the man with the crimson eyes, which left him with even more ire at the turn of events. He opened his vault to avoid the demise, but to his chagrin, the wyvern is now above him, and with that, the knight is now standing on his throne.

Using the metal tassels, the monstrous knight now anchored himself once again to the wyvern that he now controls, and to the throne that the king has.

Archer did not like every second that this beast is now standing toe to toe with him.

But then, he laughed. He now caught him in his trap. It disgusts him to no end that the beast will splatter his blood on his throne. But as he wished for an entertainment, he shall get it, no matter how murky it will be.

For a beast who dared to stand equal with him, is a punishment that must be done ten thousands of times before it can be fully purged from his presence. For that, no punishment is more fitting than by his hands.

"Curse your existence forever, mad dog." Archer now proclaimed. "Be grateful that such a beautiful expanse of a sky shall be your grave."

With those words being said, eighteen Noble Phantasms sprung up under the mad knight's feet thanks to Archer's ancient vault. The black smoke that the beast emanated screened Archer's perception of a body.

Before he even knew it, the black knight evaded all of those Noble Phantasms by releasing himself from being effectively trapped by his own anchorage.

The metallic knight can only scream at a blood – curdling tone that can make every single person who hears it cower in fear. He began to grab one of Archer's Noble Phantasms and began to make way to kill him upfront.

"As if I would let it happen." Archer scoffed as he now lets his Vimana tilt downwards and proceeded to reverse itself quickly to let the dog fall down to where he belongs.

In anticipation of that maneuver, he anchored himself once again to the military jet falling down along with him, and with that, the military jet has once again become a menacing wyvern that tries to soar to where Archer is.

But Archer now prepared his Noble Phantasms to restrain Berserker in every direction.

Her device began to ring. It buzzed on her fuzzy coat as she tried to find it. She has now found the thing that looks like a designed brick, but then, she is still at a loss as to how to use it. Their patriarch despised the technology that can call a person from far away and can be carried in the pocket at the same time.

Several complex Magecraft solutions have been cooked up by many Magi for the convenience of communication, but they have failed to look at the obvious invention that is in front of their eyes now.

That invention is the mobile phone.

Waver knew the crude bits of it, but it is only out of necessity. He has not handled a real mobile phone before. It both amazed and baffled him to no end by just discovering about it.

But now is not the time to be amazed by such things. It is time to take the call.

"Ah, come on, give me that." He said as he yanked Iri's phone away from her, as she still fidgets wondering how she would use it.

He now flipped out the fold and pressed the green button, which he presumed is the button that can take the call.

And from there, he heard a voice, as if he talks to his wife.

"Iri?"

He deeply inhaled before answering the phone.

"Sorry, I'm not…"

Before he can even complete the sentence, the voice on the other line replied in slight tinge of disappointment.

"I see, you're the Master of Rider." He now began in a cold manner. "Is your Servant the one that enclosed the creature in the Reality Marble?"

Wait, what?

How did he know his status?

More importantly, how did he know about his Reality Marble? Surely, the persons on that garden of the Einzberns are Archer, Saber, Rider and the other Caster. Including himself, Irisviel and the other Master of Caster, as well as the numerous Assassins that they had encountered, surely no one has ever seen Rider use his Reality Marble.

Unless there is an outsider who can act as an assassin, hide well like an assassin, and…

Ah, right, the only one who can hover over Irisviel is the infamous Magus Killer.

He can never be too sure though; for if he arrives at that kind of conclusion, he might as well say that he has to behead himself for coming to this war.

Surely he has heard news of him, but to hear him in person seems all too surreal. This is the Magus that did not use the knowledge of Magecraft to reach the Root, but rather used that knowledge to exploit other Magi's deeds, most notably the Sealing Designates.

He heard some people in the Clock Tower say that he earned this infamous label because of the way he deals with Magi. Not only he kills them in a quick and ruthless manner, he proves to them time and again that combining Magecraft with modern equipment proves to be a far more effective strategy in dealing with Magi rather than using Magecraft in itself, which he is sure that it can irritate his teacher more than his objective point of view of his thesis can explain.

Furthermore, he figuratively spits at the pride of Magi by killing them with modern weapons.

But this is not the time for those things. He now tried to reply in a business manner.

"Y – yes, but…"

"You can communicate with him, am I right?"

"Yes" What's with him and these questions?

"How many minutes can his Reality Marble hold? Also, can you ask him if he can drop the contents at a specific place?"

Waver is amazed by the sheer information that this man has. It is as if he is only aiming at Masters as though they are nuisances meant to be killed swiftly. But for now, he must answer the question, for knowledge obtained from the Clock Tower alone is not enough. He must have a working principle in hand to apply those principles in battle.

"I don't know, but from what I can see, not much longer. And from what I can deduce here, probably he can, from a hundred meters at least."

"Tell him to drop the creature at the place where I will shoot my flare." He now instructed. Knowing that Saber and Lancer are near them, he now instructed Waver.

"And since they are here, tell Lancer this:" He inhaled deep, savoring the fresh air before replying. "Saber's left arm is an anti – fortress Noble Phantasm."

He then abruptly dropped the call, to which Waver can only be stunned. He then gave back the phone to the princess in white.

"So, what happened?"

Lancer now narrowed his eyes on Waver, to which Waver can only reply with his knowing look. It seems to him that the kid has just talked to the man who has the power to kill his Master on close range.

"He said that he will drop the creature at his signal." Waver began to explain what they will do. "As for Lancer, he said something about Saber's left arm being a Noble Phantasm…"

He then stopped right there as he saw Lancer felt remorse. Saber can only frown at what he feels.

"I…didn't know…" Lancer began. "I…"

"It's all fine, Lancer." Saber sadly smiled. "You don't need to feel sorry for me. After all, it is my fault that it had led to this. But I assure you that lending me your strength is still worth more compared to ten thousands of men."

"You know, I can't forgive Caster's atrocities." Lancer replied, staring at Saber's emerald eyes. "Killing the innocents while justifying himself as righteous, is an evil that a knight such as me cannot overlook."

"But still, you cannot stay as you are for this long…" He continued as he brought out the yellow spear, leading everyone to stare at it for a long period of time.

"Who will prevail in this war: Me, or you?"

He then broke his weapon in half before Saber can even object to it, to the astonishment of those who witnessed it, and to the chagrin of his Master. But then, the current Master of Lancer, Sola – Ui, can only sigh as she consoles herself that she must expect something like that to happen.

"No, neither of us can prevail. Only the chivalry that we serve can prevail. Am I right, Heroic Spirit Arthuria Pendragon?"

At this point, her feeble arm sprung up to life again. Saber clenched and unclenched her left fist, then shook it abruptly to let her own arm feel life flowing from her body.

"I trust that your strike will be true, King of Knights." Lancer declared with his words encouraging her to ensure absolute victory. With those words said, there can be no room for error.

As for the one who witnessed that scene, Kejoro can only look on at the one who is entrusted with that victory. For now, she has to call on the one Servant they didn't count on the most.

"Caster, now is your time. Show them what you are truly capable of."

With that said, Caster's eyes now shine with elation as soon as her Master said it. Her ears and her tail showed up in anticipation of that order.

I could not have said those words better myself, Kejoro – san. She replied cheerfully with a tinge of a predator's delight. You can come at us, abhorrent monster! We shall destroy you with our hands!

Inhaling deep, and with one phrase, she now invoked the name of her Noble Phantasm.

Suiten Nikkou Amaterasu Yano Shizu Ishi.

In other parts of the world where she will be summoned as a Caster, she must invoke the full chant to let her show that power. In most cases, that power will appear to be like a simple empowering of her elemental spells. But in this case, the homeland will grant whatever she wishes as though she is asking someone for it.

But then, the phrase "whatever she wishes" may be a bit of a stretch.

While technically it can't do full scale wishes, the fact that it can empower any spell by tenfold as opposed to being restricted to elemental spells can prove to be detrimental for the opponent who will face her wrath.

Multiple toori now surrounded her before she breaks that Reality Marble - like expanse. She inhaled deep once again and opened her eyes.

With that, four talismans appeared on each direction the magnetic compass would point at on Caster's person. And from there, she is now doing something that she should have despised long ago for its irony, but it is necessary to invoke one of her most powerful spells.

She prays to the Shinto goddess who she has known for almost a short time before her death.

"Amaterasu Omikami – sama, I seek your divine permission to grant my lord victory in this battle." She now began as the east talisman lighted up. "I seek your permission to grant me a moment of power to let my lord know that I am here. It may look like a mere trifle to you, but I have come in prostration in order for you to be exalted in this land."

At this point, all four of the talismans lighted up, as if they are granting her the permission for her to do so. She never felt such a genuine heartwarming smile on her face in a long time.

"Let them know that such exaltation will not go to waste." Caster replied skyward as she opened her mellow golden eyes now lighting up with the ferocity that contradicts that mellowness. "Your humble Servant will show your power to those who have lost hope. You will become their eternal sun."

And so, I release this power unto the world.

The chant is in Archaic Nihon – go, but with this simple sentence, all of them will be appalled.

"As a knight, I swear that victory will be in our hands." She proudly proclaimed as the Noble Phantasm revealed itself for all to see. The wind sheath dispelled itself to reveal the Phantasm that the Fae made long ago.

It is not sufficient to say that this Phantasm is otherworldly. This Phantasm is, in a sense, a crystallization of the concept of victory not yet grasped by any other except the one who wields it. Other Noble Phantasms pale in comparison to the glorious appearance that they are seeing right now.

And with the wind dispelling it, one man now dared to dive down and take aim at the Servant who holds it.

"You really have no self – control, mad dog…"

"▄███████!" With a devilish howl, the ebony knight began its mad and risky descent towards her as Archer's Noble Phantasms descend to aim for the kill. The knight cares not that the Phantasms of Archer enveloped him to ensure that he cannot live, for the rider has a trick up its sleeve.

"What?"

Archer can only be surprised as the small flares meant to be as a signal for the pilot in distress becomes a weapon capable of letting Vimana explode into bits by letting the flares itself be stuck under the rivets of the wings. Even with the Vimana's capabilities to shake the incendiaries off, it seems that its weakness showed itself in this war in terms of timing the evasions and maneuvers.

With the Vimana out of the way, the black knight made its way towards Saber, who let herself serve as a distraction by running on water, deflecting each and every shot that comes her way.

Even though her footwork in evasion and offense, along with split – second momentary prana bursts every now and then, helps her in avoiding most of Berserker's most deadly maneuvers with his steel wyvern, it seems that the knight has mastered the art of flight and fires the Vulcan machine gun at her relentlessly.

All the while, the pilot in the wyvern is already a corpse. Yet, being fueled by revenge, the corpse can only scream hoarsely as the fight is going on.

"Is there no way that I can he…?"

Just as Waver asks how he can be of help to end the fight, Lancer muttered "I will take care of this" then left in an abrupt manner. His Master can only wish him well, as the knight will have to face off against one of the most ferocious Servants known to the Fourth Holy Grail War.

As Lancer is up in the air, Waver now tried to call on upon the name of his Servant. At first, he thinks that it did not work, since someone did not appear immediately. He then tried to think of him for a second time, but seeing as he cannot call upon them, he now sighed.

"As if someone will answer me…"

Just as his words will leave his mouth, an entity slowly manifested by his side. He decided to take back all of those words that he said earlier.

"Mithrenes of the Hetairoi, answering according to the King of Conqueror's will."

Waver then shakes his head in disbelief, before straightening himself up.

"Can I ask you if he can drop the creature at a specific place?" Waver asked, to which Mithrenes replied.

"We can drop him wherever you wish, although you may have to act upon it quickly, as our king's world cannot hold it any longer."

"I know that!" Waver exasperated before clearing his throat in apology. "Okay, as soon as the coast is clear, I'll give you the signal for you to drop him somewhere. I just need Saber to be in the clear before she can make any moves. Berserker's been really annoying as of late."

They can only look on as Berserker now charges on Saber, when an unexpected event happened.

Manifesting on the plane, he now declared, to the mad man's sheer disappointment.

"Mad warrior, your reign will end now." Lancer replied as Berserker did not say another word. Lancer is about to stab Gae Dearg onto the plane, when the mad knight instinctively kicked away his weapon, letting the weapon slip from Lancer's hands.

"Then I guess I have no choice." He quipped as he charged Berserker, to which the knight held his almost feeble forearm. But then, he counteracted that action by abruptly twisting his forearm and escaping from his clutches. The rider aimed for a roundhouse kick when Lancer set the knight off – balance by kicking him in the shin, rendering him almost crippled.

Lancer is hoping that he can dispel the fog surrounding the mad knight as he reached him with his Noble Phantasm, but as it looks as of now, the black warrior won't have any of that. He now reached for the underside of the plane and excavated the Vulcan away just as Lancer now stabbed the plane and leaving it immediately before it explodes.

Still aiming for the warrior in the azure dress, the knight aimed the gun at her.

"It's all or nothi…!" Saber gritted her teeth as she is about to unleash the energy on the knight first, when she saw something unexpected.

Four Noble Phantasms, namely the original makes of Harpe, Durandal, Gram and Naegling, are now fired from a long range and at the mad warrior's back and the Vulcan, effectively cutting off ammunition and barrel from the trigger mechanism. The mad knight fell to his demise before disappearing from their presence. She should not have been grateful for that action, but she must repay him back for what he has done.

Now, show me your light, and I will judge your worth based on that light.

No more words are needed to be said, for Saber can only give a silent glare to the man who dared to mock her actions.

A boat cruised silently into the night, as the man wearing a black trench coat now fired out a red flare and left the scene. The spatial area began to quake, and its effect is like that of heat waves constantly emanating from its space.

As Waver now saw the flare, he then thought that this is the signal.

"There! That's the signal! Drop him there!" He promptly declared as the warrior beside him nodded without so much a word.

The spatial area began to falter, and with that, the creature now descended from the expanse of the sky as Rider is now making his way towards them.

"Sheesh, what took you too long?" He exasperated as he cruises his way towards them, when he saw the golden light. His instincts prompt him to find a better refuge, and his "better refuge" is a bridge where Archer is now standing on.

Slashing the air, he sent his Gordius Wheel to his Reality Marble and promptly sealed it shut. With no other option left, he began to make his way mid – air to where the bridge is, and fortunately, he landed on the steel girds of the bridge just a few meters away from Archer by slamming his sword on one of the girds supporting the arc of the bridge.

"Hope the Church did not see that one." He quipped as he now sheathed his sword. He then climbed his way up to sit on the steel beam. "Hey, Kinpika, I'll just stay right here!"

"I permit it." He nonchalantly replied as his gaze is still on the woman in argent armor and azure dress.

He smirked upon seeing the woman, but there is one thing that all of them did not expect.

A beam of light now engulfed someone as Saber is about to let her Noble Phantasm show unto this world. But she paid no attention as her focus is on the one who dared to destroy all life with his rampage.

All of them will know her name. But she did not even mind it, for it will eventually show them who she really is someday.

With that on her mind, she closed her eyes, and her silent prayer reached the heavens. That prayer comes in the form of a golden light that encompasses the length from the water surface that she is on to the sky.

She then raised up her arms in order to begin the elimination of the one who dared to disturb their peace. Small dusts of golden light began to gather up as she now begins to unleash her ultimate attack.

"Wh…what is that light?" Waver can only let his jaw wide open as he sees something happening meters from where Saber is. He did not see either Kejoro or Caster from the scene, so he hastily came to the conclusion that the only one who can do this is Kejoro's Caster.

As if affirming his suspicions, the form of a Servant appears from that light, and with that, she declared in Archaic Nihon – go.

Hoshi no Sesshouseki.

With that, the light now disappeared. For them, it proved to be futile if Caster is charging up for her most powerful spell. But to Caster, this is her trump card, and she released it in a way that looks like her actions are futile.

Undefeated in several battles, never seeing loss, this is her Noble Phantasm.

All of mankind's hope rests in her bla…

Wait, what?

Saber could not believe what her eyes were looking at.

This is not meant to be.

Her Noble Phantasm must have a light that shines like the sun in the night. But instead her blade takes on a powerful bluish white ray of light, engulfing the whole sword, as if someone was helping her fill up the blade right now.

Normally, her blade is an Anti – Fortress type. But now, she is not sure what she is holding anymore.

This is not your burden alone, Saber. Your knights have trusted you with their lives, so please don't try to save them. Someone is speaking in her head. That could mean only one thing…

Caster… Saber uttered the word melancholically as she remembered her conversation with the creature that called herself Caster.

Caster looked at Saber with her golden eyes of benevolence in harmony with Saber's distant emerald stare. She decided to stop the filling of Excalibur and let Caster take over.

This is the entire kingdom's burden. You must not shoulder the pain alone. I still believe that you are the only one worthy to do the work that I must ask of you. Even though all the people will look down on you, I will be the only one who will remain by your side.

My entire domain will support you in this battle. Defeat Caster with all your might, and never regret the reign that you have left for your kingdom. You are, after all, the King of Knights, King Arthur. Or maybe it will be more relieving if I call you…Arthuria Pendragon.

Caster finished her sentence benevolently. And just in time too, she finished upgrading Saber's ultimate attack that will exceed the ranking of an Anti – Fortress.

From the riverside, right after dragging his lifeboat, Kiritsugu can't believe his eyes.

Any hope of shattering his Servant's chivalric point of view is momentarily gone as he saw that light.

He knew that Excalibur was strong, but not THAT strong enough to surpass its own limits as an Anti – Fortress. From that moment, he must know the cause of the irregularity of the trump card.

From his Walther, he saw Caster charging up Saber's Noble Phantasm with relative ease.

The wildcard sure is powerful.

His prana-enhanced eyes saw her abilities and statistics.

It's every assassin's dream to have a powerful Caster in battle, especially if that Caster was within their territory. But after realizing what she said during their conversations and what would she like to happen in this war, he decided to eliminate the obstacle.

No matter what the cost, he still decided to wish upon the Grail, even though it will bring upon him tragic consequences.

Normally, an assassin will give what the expert said a second thought and decide based on the logical conclusion. But due to him wanting to grant his own wish, he has no other choice but to let the Grail grant his wish, and must eliminate the Servants and Masters getting in his way at all costs.

Irisviel and Waver looked up at the light that Saber gave.

Irisviel was surprised as Saber stopped gathering the golden mists.

Waver, being an expert on British legends, knew from the start that Excalibur shines like a light of the sun on a moonlit sky.

But what he saw right now is not like that.

It looks more like a light from a sorrowful yet victorious moon. And it seems that the whole land of Fuyuki shared their burdens in order to create a new light of hope. That spell must have agitated the balance of mana, as he sensed that the atmosphere is even more dense than ever, before breathing out a sigh of relief as Saber absorbed the mana.

"Ms. Einzbern, is that really Excalibur?" Waver asked her, to which Irisviel shrugged as a reply.

"All I know is, that was not supposed to be THAT powerful. Someone was helping her." The woman of the snow made heads or tails at that situation, and it was then that she remembered Kejoro's conversation with her, along with Caster saying the identity of Saber's "real Master".

Ah, that other Caster. She sure is scary.

From Breaking ordinary weapons and Noble Phantasms to giving Saber a power that exceeds an Anti-Fortress, she can be one of the most powerful Servants ever, almost matching up to the power of a Berserker.

So that's what it's like to have a Servant in their territory. Waver mused, amazed at how the summoning place plays a vital role in summoning Servants. These are the things that he can't learn from the confines of the Clock Tower.

So she wanted that alliance so badly, that she even put her life on the line knowing that Maiya was watching them and preparing to take the shot whenever necessary. She even aided Saber in this battle. Kiritsugu, I hope that you can see it too. Even though I don't know of their plans, I'm sure it's for the best of our family. Iri was in her deep thoughts as she saw that light.

Never faltering anymore, she now answered to the land's call upon her.

All the while the mad creature is about to engulf Saber whole.

"Now, my holy maiden, I shall embrace you with my arms!" The mad Caster's voice echoed gleefully as Saber is about to give her everything in one strike.

But then, this is not her everything, for the "everything" that she has comes from the Servant who still believed in her despite all the ridicule that she receives.

That someone is the unknown spirit's Caster. Her quick thinking in battles has led them closer to their victory. She shall one day thank her for this, but then she also has to apologize for what will happen next to them.

And so, with that choice, she now proclaimed loud and clear the name of her Noble Phantasm, even though the light is thoroughly different from her legends.

Her hands, never faltering anymore, swung the pillar of light that she is carrying all this time. Although it is still heavy, it is somewhat lightened by the fact that she shall never strike alone.

For someone is now guiding her on the way to absolute victory. With that light, she shall never feel exhaustion.

"EX-"

Swinging with all her might, she now finished that name with fervor.

"-CALIBUR!"

At that point…

The bluish – white ray of light howled into the night. The full moon affirms its victory as they saw a blinding light of monstrous proportions. They can only gasp in awe at the sight of a blinding light. The youkai who never believe in a light of salvation definitely have their lives changed with that one event.

"Servants...are too scary..." One youkai remarked to his amazement. The youkai bartender can only sigh at that sight.

And that is why saving this part of the country is never our cup of tea. She may not see it, as she has one. But to us, this is a potential country - ending threat.

He then remembers the past Holy Grail Wars that they have here in Fuyuki City, one which caused debilitating effects upon the temple where they formerly reside on. He saw his comrades dissolve and perish from the flames of the leyline, therefore he vowed to himself that he will protect those left behind by that conflagration.

Here's to hoping you can see our plight too, Nurarihyon.

As Caster saw that light, he remembered the white light of the church. Someone held his hand, and together, they have accomplished what no man or woman can ever hope.

That light is his salvation. That light is the one light that is keeping him sane. That light is where he found grace and forgiveness.

And so, he remembered his past atrocities ever since the day that Prelati gave him the book. He thought that he could revive the one that he worships for her purity. But he found out eventually that he can no longer do that.

Thus, his insanity, delusions and hallucinations of her burning on that stake began.

In his insanity, he committed numerous heinous deeds all in the name of the one that he worships. He still has the sanity to prove his accusers wrong by proclaiming that it is all a plot for him to make give up his treasures and lands to the most corrupt of society, but no one listens to a fanatic and a mad man who delved in Satanic arts.

It drove him even more insane as he is accused of something true, but then is held captive at the hands of the greedy. He is looked down by the former followers of the Maiden of Orleans as a madman, which only adds to his ire for their ungratefulness after saving France.

"Ah, that light… I have almost…forgotten…"

He earnestly seeks forgiveness, not knowing that he is already forgiven by her and by God long before he even seeks it.

And not knowing that led him to sin against mankind even more.

For the first time, he felt utter regret not knowing that fact.

"Just what…have I…"

"May you rest in peace, loyal Servant. I shall pray for your peace."

Invoking a prayer learned from the monk who let her out of her misery, she now prayed that he will find his peace. Kejoro looked on as Caster now finished her prayer.

"Praying for your enemies." Kejoro stated. "A rare sight for someone like you."

"I think it's just the remnants of my past self lingering still." She quipped nonchalantly. "To be honest, I never knew what a prayer was until that monk came to my aid. Don't get me wrong though."

She then continued her conversation idly.

"I may be thankful for the monk. There may be someone who thinks that I'm neutral and evil and is supposed to act that way, but from time to time, I just wanted to take a break from that entire alignment thing."

"And it's just so like you to dismiss that prayer as nothing." Kejoro snapped back. "There may be an ulterior motive for that one."

"I just wanted him to suffer in a different hell." She flatly answered, to Kejoro's surprise.

"But at least he can make some good friends there." Caster smiled. "Loyalty to someone can bring him somewhere, you know?"

"Ah, that's the ulterior cause." Kejoro flatly replied. But then, Caster is right in saying that loyalty can reward that person with something. She then looked at her Servant meaningfully, to which Caster can only flatly state out what she noticed.

"What are you looking at?" She remarked, her voice as flat as the grass that they are stepping on as of now.

"Nothing." The Japanese spirit replied with a smile on her face, to which Caster can only sigh.

"Kinpika, what is going on in that head of yours? You seem to be angry at someone." Rider has just been waiting at the sidelines since Saber had taken the spotlight. Every Servant will now know her identity, which will be a disadvantage for the Master of Saber…if Irisviel was even her master.

The golden armored Servant eyed warily at the wildcard Servant, who finished empowering Saber's Noble Phantasm. Saber then used that power to defeat that enemy instead of her own power.

He wondered if this is the same woman who spoke to his mind and called him a mongrel and a foolish little king.

No one has the right to do so, especially in front of his face. The one speaking in his head was the only one that incited his rage.

He also remembered Lancer getting his "thrown away" Noble Phantasms floating in the air that was overloaded with prana, and hurled it at Caster's monster, which resulted in a bombardment of critical hits that slowed down the healing of the abomination by tenfold.

Scratch that, maybe even a hundredfold due to the Noble Phantasms Ranking EX as soon as the weapons reached the Broken Phantasm stage.

Just what is she?

"Even though she's a mongrel, she's too dangerous for me to let her live as she pleases. She will ruin my entertainment of enjoying the sight of a suffering woman." Gilgamesh hissed.

To which Rider can only answer as if he is stating the facts.

"Considering that she also had some sort of Divinity, she's a force to be reckoned with, even though she has been summoned as one of the lowest classes in this war. Besides, the fact that we are standing in her domain right now proves how one Servant can be unnerved by the absurdity that this Servant has."

He then continued, never even stating the real name of the Master of Caster even though he knows that Archer may have seen through Caster and the lady.

"She makes up for her lowest class by being summoned in her domain. I applaud that Master, whoever he is, that summoned a monster such as her. He got the full knowledge of Heroic Spirits, and decided to summon one that resides in their own land. That is a stroke of genius, I tell you."

Iskander slowly clapped at the quietness of the night, not knowing that Lancer is also summoned by that method to overpower the likes of Saber or Archer.

Lancer has been summoned in Ireland by Sola – Ui for Kayneth Archibald to use in the war, so therefore he gains a boost of power from that place and additional power for the lances that he held.

The only downside to that fact is that it also enhanced the curse of his Mystic Face; therefore his attractiveness should never be underestimated for any lady who sets his eyes on him.

"Either that or he is an impudent one that wishes to destroy everything in my garden. I will never forgive him for committing such an atrocity. I, the King, swear upon my own name that I will personally bring utter destruction upon the destroyer of my entertainment. Although I can see the beautiful suffering that was shown by her light, it was spoiled due to the meddling fool upon my throne." The golden Servant seethed, trying to control his rage.

Although Rider has a point regarding Servants summoned in their own land, he can't accept the fact that a Caster of all classes has an actual chance of survival in this war.

And if the Assassins' reports were to be believed, she is the only Caster who fights directly with the sneaky insects and actually wins using a physical attack of all the skills a Caster could use.

Given that she also spoke through his mind and showing him her wits and her way of judgment even without her having the disposition and the statistics to show that she is one, the fact that she is acknowledged by Rider as a goddess is enough proof that he must destroy her both physically and psychologically at all costs.

"Don't be too hard on her, Babylonian King of Heroes. After all, you have personally enjoyed Saber's suffering, even though I did not like the sight." The large man in the red cape mused as he saw both Caster's and Saber's emotions that are poured in that one attack that obliterated the abominable creation.

"Although that light was full of hope as exhibited by Caster, it still had the tinge of regret upon her reign. That means she did not come to terms with her past yet. And she is still a girl who liked to dream."

He almost forgot that Rider had known his identity.

"Oho, do you recognize me only now?" He was really itching to defeat the King of Conquerors after finding out his true identity. Rider, however, had other plans.

"As much as I want to cross blades with you, tonight is not the best. We will settle this for another time." Rider mused as he turned his back on him. "I'll take my leave now, Kinpika, although I may have to fight back if you shall ever refuse my passage."

"I shall permit you to flee, King of Conquerors." The one called the King of Heroes spoke as though he is giving permission to his subject.

Rider then jumped and he rode on to his chariot while the King of Heroes looked on the light that destroyed the abominable Caster, parting the waters that reached kilometers in length, letting the dry ground be seen for that moment, and be amazed by Saber's ultimate attack.

His distant gaze is now on Saber as he spoke this before he disappears:

"Fall to my embrace, King of Knights, for you are the only one who deserves all of my love."

He then turned his distant gaze towards Caster, and he now spoke to her from above his terrain.

"And as for you, you have brought yourself to ruin, mongrel. One day, I will let you fall to the deepest depths of despair before I will crush you with my own hands." He then disappeared in a golden mist.

"I heard you loud and clear, boisterous mongrel." Caster quipped in annoyance as she now rendered her four special talismans asunder in flames. "If you just take the time to study about me, you will know what kind of mongrel I am."

NOTES:

Suiten Nikkou Amaterasu Yano Shizu Ishi - Caster's Noble Phantasm. Effect: No mana costs for casting spells for one turn. In this case, I made it so that the effects of this one can only have a set time, ten minutes before effects wear down depending on spell used. Normal recovery rate is 12 - 24 hours. May border on less than 40 hours since she used this one, but then again, Mana rank EX.

Hoshi no Sesshouseki (Star of Sesshouseki) - Take note that Caster invoked the mirror's name first before using this spell. Literally a power - up for beam weapons. Haven't had the time to set that literature up, though. Would edit this part if I have the time.

A/N: At last, finished!

And Grand Order finished!

All that's left is to roll for Jeanne...

Nah, gacha says not possible unless I have tons of money, which I don't have. At all :P
