Killing Me Softly:

"Will you, Edwyna vow to watch over the children of the world?

To guard them with your life, their hopes,

their wishes, and their dreams.

For they are that we have, all that we are,

and all that we will ever be."

Was Guardian Oath that Edwyna still remember taking when she took the Guardian of Magic position those centuries ago. Standing before North and Ombric before the Guardian Stone with young Ero in her clothed arms. Were still warm memories she kept buried with her cold heart when she recalled beginning of her second life. Now sharing with a now 17 year old Ero after he came to visit her needing to return an age potion to her.

"Are you sure about this?" She asked not wanting to ruin this for him.

"You forced me kept from a world that Jack and Norths shows me." He smiled at the memories. "I'm finally able to breath."

She wanted to tell him that staying like a 17 year old forever was risk she didn't want him to take for someone he just met. Not that she was going to object to how her son was sharing his happiness with her in this visit.

"You seem happy..." She was doubtful as she spoke.

"Glad to know you at least care." He got up.

He made sure to check his pockets for the set of keys she had given him as apart of his congratulatory gift. Other half of her gift he tuckered away in his massager bag for eyes of his boyfriend, and anyone else he chooses.

"I've always cared." She sat back in her seat.

"By locking me away from a world until North gave me a chance to breath." He corrected her.

"World you speak of wasn't accepting place during my time." She knew what he spoke of. "Since the very people I helped burned me alive while I was still carrying you."

Ero knew this particular story of how she was betrayed very townspeople she had helped in curing their children by heart. Every chance his mother had gotten during his 300 years under her he was told. Learning why she was so cold hearted toward the race with children she vowed to protect.

"Jack's waiting." Ero wasn't sticking around.

"See you at your ceremony." She waved from her spot on the sofa.

He just made his way to the front door that he ended up slamming on his way out not responding even once. Didn't mean he left his own gift for her beside the door in the form of a Porthole Item he created him self. Would transports her to a pre-determined location being Ero's established home with Jack (if she ever touched the surface). Showing he hadn't completely cut her out of the new life he was slowly developing, and would be found by her.

Not that she had time to run out of her home through front door to tell her son she was grateful for the gift. Since he ended up being greeted by his choice in a spouse outside her home with a huge grin on his face. Helping Ero on to his staff by pulling him toward the back end with out getting off, or lowering to the ground. Making sure Ero had tight hold on
Jack when they took off into the air..

"Do I want to know what you two talked about?" Jack asked as they flew.

"Just the basics and I hoped she likes the gift." Ero held on to him.

"Your not the only one since your bugged me about picking something out." Jack rolled his eyes at Ero's comment.

"It may get you to start liking her." Ero knew Jack rolled his eyes.

To only tighten his hold on Jack's waist when winter spirit started to speed up their flight wanting to get to the Workshop. Assistance from the wind came at a slow pace that had Ero using his magic gift to boost them. Slightly speeding them up to make at least a halfway trip that had looking to the Snow Globes in Ero's message bag. Would be taken from the leather bag and tossed into the before them by Ero yelling out the Workshop. Jack would pass through in quite a hurry that had Ero tightening hold on him.

Not caring if they appear above sky of the Workshop that had Jack circling figuring how he was going to land. He tried on the roof after last time he ended being attacked by security Yetis using weird launcher. Leaving him to looking for carelessly left open window large enough he could fly they through without being caught. Had Jack looking to why Ero hadn't just told Snow Globe to take them inside the Workshop then out here. He would have verbalized if sight that was pointed out by Ero hadn't noticed glowing red light.

"Are we having a stroke?" Was the question Ero shot down when it came for Jack's mouth.

"Yeah because that's only natural in one type of reindeer." Ero remembered Rudolph's glowing nose.

Before they could further talk about needing to check if they were still alive the light revealed to be a shocking scene. On the back of had to he a fully matured Rudolph was Tekla riding sidesaddle tightening hold onto reins. She wore her typical leather attire under a form fitting trenching styled coat that wrapped around her. Her hair was tightly bond into a braid that was turn into series of pinned up ringlets in the back of her head. Way she rode that flying reindeer by holding on to those reins had both boys speechless and STARING.

"Tongue cat got?" She asked when she got close to him.

She had the Rudolph stopping just a few feet from the two of them so she wouldn't knock them out the sky. Putting on this smile when she explained how she brought Rudolph out to night to test his natural ability. Seem to be working when Rudolph's craned his face toward Jack and Ero's face. Sticking out his rough tongue to lick them when he moved on his own wanting to greet the two. To only he drawn back when he started to threaten their air space would end with one of them falling to the ground. By Tekla reminding him that was a no-no before trying to get him to turn around.

"Following?" She asked both of them as loudly as she could as she was flown away from them on Rudolph's back.

Jack was handed a handkerchief by Ero to wipe away slobber from lick he gotten from Rudolph before speeding after her. Had Ero casting a tracking charm upon Tekla that allowed them to track her movements. That came in handy for Jack when he finished wiping down his face with Ero's handkerchief. Who had to bob and weave through thick patches of clouds distorted his vision of Tekla.

"Now we know North isn't only speed demon in his sleigh. " Ero was getting motion sick.

"No the only one." Jack was trying his best.

He finally got a chance to come side by side with woman who form of welcome back was catching them while flying a reindeer. She seemed comfortable on dressed in outerwear made of fabric and animal print sewn together.

"Ready to land." She yelled to them in warning tone of voice.

"WHAT?" Jack could hear her.

"We're coming in!" She pointed.

"WHAT?" Jack still couldn't understand.

Ero ended up fighting back his nauseated state to lift one of his hands toward Jack's pale ears and cast assistance hearing chantment. That allowed him to make out what Tekla said about them getting ready to land SOON. This had Jack falling back behind her and reindeer she, as on not wanting to have a crush landing. They started come up on an opening in lower section of the mountain Workshop was curved into. That was narrow in size and had them all taking a liner formation for entrance.

With Tekla taking the led so she could show them had to touch down after flying in to opening size of average cave. That didn't turn out the way she thought since Ero had trouble before dismounted. Clean way he leaped off the back end of the staff awaiting Jack to join him showed her they were getting close. Way Jack landed right next to Ero shouldering his staff making an inappropriate comment. About what they could have done when in the air with the right spell had Ero blushing.

"I hear you visit your mother, Yes?" Tekla wanted to know if the rumor was true.

"Wasn't there." Jack shrugged.

"She behaved her self to a point." Ero only recalled their short chat. "Finally told me about her take on the oath I'll have to take."

Tekla handed off both he reins of rein deer she was riding to a Yeti telling Ero his mother was never a emotional person. Not wanting to go into details about how Pitch and Edwyna could have made a power couple. She changed the subject to asking the boy if hey wanted something to hot to drink or eat since she was heading to the kitchen. This had Jack hooking arms with Ero before he could object wanting to see North about something.

"Two hot...I mean Teas." Jack had to avoid asking for a cup of coco or anything chocolate related do to Ero's allergy.

Not that he was surprised about Ero being allergic to chocolate after discovering about it during one his visits to Warren. Instead of being greeted by the sight of Ero in dirt covered work clothes telling him to wait. He had found Ero giving him Heimlich maneuver to push out a piece of chocolate from his throat. Came out in a few pumps to center of his abdomen that flew across the room before Ero went crushing to the floor.

"Since then...we avoid ANYTHING chocolate related." Jack buried his head in Ero's shoulder.

"Jack had to go get Bunnymund since I didn't show any signs of conscious after crushing to the ground." Ero reached toward top collar of his sweater.

He pulled the collar down low enough to show a fresh laid bandage land on center that had Tekla going wide eyed. Ero explained further that his throat closed up and was making breathing difficult for him. Covering his flesh back up when a yeti started to look at what he wanted to privately show Tekla.

"Let's just say a human method was taken to get me breathing." Ero recalled waking with a straw stuck in hole in his throat. "Bunnymund took me hospital in somewhere in Australia to get be treated."

Tekal ended up quickly walking over to Ero now fighting back tears of her own under standing why Jack was clingy toward Ero. Since she would end up taking both boys into her arms and embrace them in her tightest hold. Stroking her glove clad fingers through their hair saying he should have notified her. Telling them like she always had that beside her and North's naturally born daughter.

"Your two are sons' we've always wanted." Tekla whispered.

She would have gestured toward the Yeti that wanted to know what was going on with them to bring her gift over to them. If he hadn't gotten the hint sub-consciously trotting over toward them in careful matter. Handing over a diamond shaped ice crystal meant for Jack and pair of ridicules shoes or slippers meant for Ero. Tekla removed her hands from them to take hold of the ice crystal and hang the item from curved part of Jack's staff. Personally taking the slippers meant for Ero with disgust in her expression and chucked them

"We get you better gift." She took his hand. "Library we go."

She pulled a Snow Globe out of inner coat pocket whispering the location of the Workshop's Library into glass surface. Tossing the Snow Globe into the air with such might the Yeti had to step back when portal formed. Through the portal Tekla pulled Ero with Jack following not saying good bye to Yeti, or Rudolph. Switching the change of the scenery to warm room filled with all types of reaching material. Ero was allowed to pick from as replacement gift for the slippers.

"Back I'll be." Tekla needed to see North about gift giving. "Cake sounds good for snack."

Off she went not listening to Jack or Ero tell her they rather have piece of ginger house left over from Christmas. They both had come to like tearing apart the candy decorated house made with gram crackers and white frosting. Array of all kinds of sweets that covered just one Yeti made ginger house had any one mouth's watering.

"Wanted to seek to kitchen after this?" Jack asked following Ero.

"Miss out on a chance to taste Tekla's after Christmas cake." Ero wasn't missing that chance. "No!"

"Fine, but..." Jack ended up coming from behind Ero just enough to pin him against a sturdy bookshelf discarding his staff. "Want to warm up?"

"We have to be quiet." Ero wrapped his arms around Jack's neck.

Jack agreed since the last time they fooled around in the Library like this wasn't pleasing sights for either one of them. A few elves running from an angry Tekla had thought back then the Library was safe zone, and entered. Started to wander around the area for a place to sit and wait out Tekla's angry. What they find in research section were Ero thrown forwards on to table and being rammed. From behind by Jack with both their pants and undergarments shoved down to their ankles.
