Well...this is it. The very last chapter. Wow.

I really should have posted this yesterday after I finished, but I was study for a stupid health test. On the plus side, I'm pretty sure I aced it.

Anyway, I'm actually really excited that I finished this. It's been, like, what? Four years? It's definitely been a while.

Thanks to everyone who read this at one point or another. You're literally the best and I love you so much!

Alpha didn't proofread this, so mind the mistakes that are most likely there.

Also, sequel. SQUEAL!

For the last time, I don't own TEC.

"I hate failing." Annie Scrambler plops onto her bed and groans loudly. As usual, the Electric Company had outsmarted the Pranksters. Not only were they back together (if that wasn't bad enough), but, if the rumours were true, they had a new member. "I really hate failing."

"We did not fail," Francine gives her a sharp look. "Francine Carruthers does not fail."

"Apparently she doesn't succeed either," Annie mumbles under her breath, earning a mouth-gaping glare from Francine.

"What did you just say about me?"

"We fell short of our goal," Danny offers, hoping to settle down the conflict. He sits next to Annie on her bed. "We always fall short of our goal."

Annie sits up, running a hand through her hair and giving Francine a look. "That means that we always fail, thanks to you."

"I said we did not fail!" Francine snaps. "Tell them, Gilda!"

Gilda, who is sitting cross-legged on the floor, nervously adjusts her glasses. "Well, Francine. The thing is—"

"Gilda!"

"We did not fail," the young Prankster-in-Training says quickly, staring into her lap.

Not that far away, ignoring the usual squabbles that happens at every Prankster meeting, is Manny Spamboni. He casually walks around Annie's bedroom, taking in his surroundings and touching pretty much everything. He picks up a red compact mirror and stares at his reflection before putting it back on her drawer. He lifts a framed photograph of Danny and Annie. He puts it down. He runs his hand along a shiny pearl necklace. He slides it back into place.

"Face it, Francine. If we really want to outsmart the Electric Company, we need to take a new approach. Be more creative."

"I agree with Annie," Danny clears his throat. "Which is why I propose that I should take the lead role in conducting our next group prank."

"I second that!" Annie says quickly, smiling at him.

"That is the worst idea I have ever heard," Francine flips her hair, only to get brunette strands in her mouth. After gagging and spluttering for a few seconds, she continues. "I am Francine Carruthers. Everyone knows that I was born to be in charge. Isn't that right, Gilda?"

The Prankster-in-Training nods.

Annie rolls her eyes. There are a million things that she wants to say to Francine, but she bites her tongue. "We'll just ask Manny what he thinks," she says instead.

"What do I think about what?" Manny is now standing at Annie's desk, examining yet another framed photograph, this time with all the Pranksters (and one Prankster-in-Training) in it. He puts it down and picks up another photo. It is not framed and it does not have her or Danny or anyone else that he knows in it.

"Manny?" Annie looks around, and upon spotting him by her desk, growls. "What do you think you're doing?!"

"Looking at this picture."

Annie stomps toward him and snatches the photograph from his hands. "Stop touching my stuff!"

"Hey!" Manny attempts to grab the picture back from her, but Annie ducks. Staring at the photo, her face softens.

"Manny, what is so interesting that you are ignoring a very important conversation regarding the future of the Pranksters?" Danny looks at him. "It must be beyond fascinating; otherwise you are just being rude."

"It's nothing fascinating…" Annie trails off, sitting back down on her bed.

Danny peers over her shoulder, looking at the photo. "It looks a little bit fascinating. Who are they?" he asks, pointing to the two teenagers in the center.

Annie points to the male with dark hair. "That's my dad when he was our age. See that watch around his neck? He was—is a hypnotist. I don't know who the girl is though. A friend? Old girlfriend?"

"I've never met your dad before," Danny comments. "Why is that?"

Annie shrugs. "He's never home because he travels and stuff. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen him in months. I don't even know why this picture is in my room to begin with."

Francine clears her throat loudly. "We have much more important things to discuss than a photograph that is over sixteen years old. In fact, I believe we were in the middle of discussing why I deserve to continue leading the Pranksters."

"You know, my dad used to be a Prankster. I bet these people are Pranksters too." Annie ignores Francine, the smallest of smiles dancing on her lips. "They probably humiliated the Electric Company in their time."

Francine walks over to Annie's bed, hiding her curiosity as she casually looks over Danny and Annie's shoulders. "They probably weren't that great," she says nonchalantly, examining her nails. Gilda nods in agreement.

"Whatever, Francine," Annie puts the photograph on her bed and jumps when Manny reaches for it immediately afterwards. "What the—!"

"Doesn't that girl in the center look kind of familiar?" Manny asks, earning looks of confusion and disbelief from the rest of the Pranksters. "Who is she?"

"I told you, Manny. I don't know. And she doesn't look like anyone I've ever seen, so stop being weird and put that back where you found it."

Manny shakes his head. "I'm serious. Doesn't that girl kind of look like…" he trails off upon noticing Annie's death glare. Sighing, he returns to Annie's desk and places the photograph down.

"Anyway, Manny, we asked you a question ages ago. Who do you think should be in charge of our next prank; Danny or Francine?" Annie purposefully says Francine's name with disgust.

Manny snorts. "Neither. Obviously I should be in charge because I am the superior Prankster."

Manny's response is all that it takes for the Pranksters to get all riled up again, with Francine and Annie yelling at each other, Danny getting offended, and Gilda trying (and failing) to voice her opinion.

The dispute gives Manny Spamboni more than enough time to pick up the photograph of Annie's father and his friends, fold it in half, slip it into the pocket of his shorts, and pull out a list of all the reasons why he is, in fact, the superior Prankster.

The End...for now.
