"This is so you'll know the sound of someone who loves you from the ground. Tonight you're not alone at all, this is me sending out my satellite call."

[Satellite Call - Sara Bareilles]

It was night, and Caleb was worried about Hanna. He had called and texted her several times, but she had never answered him. He had thought about going to her house to check if everything was okay, but then he had remembered that she would have been with Aria, Emily and Spencer, so he thought she had just needed to spend some time alone with her friends, so he stayed in his room at the NYU.

He was lying on his bed, even though it wasn't late, but the truth was that when he was thoughtful, he liked lying down and looking into the void. He didn't know why, maybe it just calmed himself down. And he wanted to stay calm for Hanna, since she was the only thing that mattered to him.

Around eleven 'o clock in the evening, he heard knocking on the door. He had no idea about who was it, and he hoped it wasn't Molly. He was still scared that one day she would have shown up again at his room claiming who-knows-what.

"Who is it?" he asked, getting up from the bed.

"It's me, Caleb..."

Caleb immediately recognized Hanna's voice and he rushed to open the door. He found in front of himself an upset Hanna, with puffy eyes, cheeks wet by tears and wearing a simple t-shirt and a suit, thing definitely unusual for her. She was chewing on her right index's nail, and she looked vulnerable and destroyed. Caleb immediately pulled her against himself, holding her in the warmest of his hugs.

"Babe, what's up?" he asked, holding her against his chest, as he kicked the door closed.

Hanna sticked herself to Caleb's torso, crying on his t-shirt, sobbing, not able to reply in any way.

"Do you feel bad? Is this about Dave? Did something bad happen? What's up, Hanna?" Caleb continued, without dissolving the hug.

Hanna kept crying held by him. She couldn't speak, she couldn't move, she didn't even know why she had suddenly ran away leaving the girls alone in her house to come to Caleb, since she perfectly knew that she wouldn't have been able to tell him anything. Despite everything, though, there, held by him, she felt better. With no words needed. For her, it was enough his presence and everything seemed less bad than how much it actually was.

Caleb didn't ask anything else, he just sat on the bed with Hanna, keeping holding and caressing her. It also started raining outside, and, holding in silence, the only noise which could be heard in that moment was the one of the pouring rain on the city's streets and roofs.

When Hanna felt the lump in her throat loosen, she decided to say something.

"I'm fine... Nothing bad happened... I... I just have to tell you something, but... Not now, please..."

Caleb kissed the top of her head, stroking her hair.

"Okay... I thought you were with the girls..." he whispered then.

"I needed you..."

Caleb held her tighter.

"Alright..." he added.

"Can I sleep here with you?" Hanna asked shyly, lifting her head a bit to be able to look at him in the eyes.

Caleb smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Of course you can sleep with me..." he added.

He got up, took one of his hoodies from the closet, and handed it to Hanna. That night was cold and Caleb didn't want Hanna to chill. She motioned a smile and slipped in it, so Caleb disclosed the sheets and with a nod signaled to Hanna to get under them. She immediately did it, placing herself on her side, and Caleb followed her right after, placing himself on his side too, behind Hanna. He kissed the back of her neck and then, with a totally unaware and spontaneous gesture, he wrapped his arms around Hanna's belly to keep her closer to him. When Hanna felt Caleb's hands around her stomach, she let out a tear. A tear which she didn't know of what kind of feeling was. She just knew that was a strong feeling, very strong. She placed her own hands on his ones and she closed her eyes, probably smiling.

That single bed felt nicely small for the two of them.

"Everything's gonna be okay, babe... There's me with you..." Caleb whispered to her.

"Thank you..." she simply whispered back.

"Goodnight, princess..."

"Goodnight, Caleb..."

Caleb closed his eyes as well, with his head hidden through Hanna's hair and his chin resting on her shoulder. He fell asleep a little worried about what had happened to her, but in that moment he just made sure to make her feel his closure. The breaths which carried him out to sleep were flavored by the smell of Hanna's skin, and Caleb wished that every night of his life could have fallen asleep that way. He rubbed her stomach and gave her one last kiss on the neck before drowning in his dreams' world, listening to the quiet noise of the rain.

Hanna, on the other hand, fell asleep soon, kept warm by Caleb's strong body, and caressed by his hands securely wrapped around her stomach and by his breath which was nicely slightly touching her neck. And even though everything, she managed to fall asleep not worried. Caleb was there with her, she didn't need anything else.

Hanna woke up, held by Caleb who was still sleeping. His arms were still around Hanna's stomach, and she had her hands still on his ones. She didn't know what time was it, but it probably was dawn judging by the pale rays which filtered through the window, and it looked like it wasn't raining anymore. Caleb was snoring softly, and Hanna found that noise of an endless cuteness. It showed her a Caleb cute and vulnerable, a side of him which no one, except for her, could know. She lowered her gaze on their joined hands on her stomach and she gently smiled. It wouldn't have been easy, at all, but for the first time the feeling of being in three and being able to become a real family, take a huge joy to Hanna's heart. She turned around a little, enough to see Caleb unkempt and with closed eyes. She kissed his cheek slightly and she turned around again, closing her eyes and indulging again to the sleep.

Caleb woke up a few minutes before his alarm rang. He had an appointment with Norton and one of the NYU's course directors. He couldn't miss it, otherwise he would have dropped everything to stay there where he was with Hanna. Slowly, he released his arms from her stomach, paying attention not to wake her up. He knew how to move not to wake her up, he had experimented it a million times, in fact he perfectly succeeded. He washed himself and got dressed, so he returned to look at Hanna. It was clear she needed to talk to him about something, but he really didn't wanna disturb her while she was sleeping so good. She had a relaxed expression and a small smile motioned on her lips; she surely had a look serener than the previous night. Caleb chuckled with himself and stroked her hair, so he took a piece of paper and wrote her something, before kissing her on the forehead and leaving.

When Hanna really woke up, it was morning and she was alone. Caleb was no longer behind her wrapping her stomach. She snorted and turned around in the bed, then noticed a note on the nightstand. She took it and read it, as she sighed like she was at her first crush.

Good morning, my love. I'm sorry that I left without saying goodbye, but I've an appointment with Norton and this time I really can't drop it, and of course you were sleeping too good that I couldn't think of waking you up. When I'm done I'll call you, so if you feel okay about it, we'll talk about everything you need to. You can stay in my room as long as you want to, and you can obviously keep the hoodie.

P.S. Whatever happened, don't worry, you can always count on me.

I love you,

Caleb.

Hanna smiled and replaced the note on the nightstand, so she decided to get up, otherwise she knew she would have kept sleeping for hours and hours. She went to the bathroom, took a shower and re-got dressed with her suit and Caleb's hoodie. It was Saturday, there weren't any classes at the NYU, she wouldn't have met so many people and she would have sneaked out as soon as possible, so she didn't care too much about her look. Besides, she liked having Caleb's scent on herself, impregnated on that hoodie.

She called Spencer to reassure her and the others, apologizing for the way she had ran away the previous night. But the girls couldn't blame her for her mood swings, and they obviously acted understanding. Hanna confessed them she hadn't been able to talk with Caleb, but she also said that as soon as he was done with the convention with Norton, she would have called him to make sure he would have come over so they could have talked.

And Dave? With the pregnancy story, to Hanna it seemed the smallest of her problems, and she had almost forgotten about it. The priority now had become talking with Caleb about the pregnancy, even though she was perfectly aware of the fact that she had to clarify things with Dave. Before leaving, she made Caleb's bed and she made sure she wasn't forgetting anything.

Then, she opened the door, direct towards the college's exit, direct towards home, direct towards the clarity.

But in front of her, she found someone waiting for her, right behind the door of Caleb's room 319.

He knew that she was there.

"Hi, Hanna." Dave greeted, with his arms folded.

Hanna froze. She started trembling and chewing on her lip.

He knew, he was there, he wanted those answers which Hanna had never given him but which she would have given him so much earlier.
