KathDMD : It will be sad to see Xander go, but some really cool bits and nods are included in this chapter. I'd be more worried about Vince at this point to be honest...
Author's Note : VLD hasn't been giving the K/A'ers any love, so I hope this fills the void. The Kogane's are a family wiothin a bigger family. Let's just hope nanny doesn't have a heart attack!
My muse is gone.

Episode 224 : "Reunion – Part 3"
The tower in the middle of Defensive Control rose, and the team emerged from the doors to the Lions. They immediately met in the center of the room as Svan and Romelle entered through the main doors, having come in from outside the castle.
"What exactly has been happening?" Pidge asked, having been vaguely filled in on the trip back to the castle.
"The Blue Lion is suffering from a haggarium infection," Vince explained. "The formula you used to purify the lake has been helping, but the infection is still there. If we don't find a way to stop it, it will spread to the other lions, or at the very least disable the Blue Lion permanently."
"Xander says he might know a way to eliminate the infection," Larmina said. "But we need more of that stuff you made….lots of it."
"Even if that did work," Vince said, "there's no way we would have enough time to create that much and introduce it into the Lion's systems."
"I know it can be done," Xander said adamantly. "You can do it, Vince."
"You talk to me as if you know me," Vince said, a hint of agitation in his voice. "You've had that tone with me the entire time you've been here."
"Vince?" Keith said, trying to calm him down.
"I've been sitting back and playing it cool because Daniel and Larmina trust you," Vince said. "But something about you still doesn't make sense. Really, I want to know, why do you act like you know me?"
"Because I DO know you," Xander said out of exasperation. Everyone looked at him. He walked up the Vince, quickly leaning in and whispering in Vince's ear. Vince's eyes dilated for a moment, as if a revalation hit him. He slowly turned to Pidge.
"I'm going to need a list of things to do this," Vince said. He turned back to Xander. "I don't know who you are, or what just happened….but you better pray this works." He and Pidge left Defensive control.
"Remain on alert, team," Daniel said. "The Drule's know Blue is down, and they know we took something of theirs from the mining colony. I have no doubt Haggar is going to seek retribution." The team nodded, and everyone began to leave. Larmina stopped Xander in the hallway.
"What did you say to him?" she asked.
"I told you he's not human," Xander said. "I told him exactly what Vince from my time wanted me to tell him…the memory activation code."
The witch Haggar slowly slid off the altar and carefully walked down the ramp. Her bare feet met the cold metal floor carefully, gracing it with the slow and steady footsteps of an old woman. The druids watched carefully, watching and waiting. She turned her gaze at the one who had led the ritual.
"The essence you have found is too weak to sustain me," she whispered. "I must have more…far more…"
"Her Grace has brought you this far, Excellency," the druid said softly. "You will recover. And we will find you more, as you wish."
"Good," she replied softly. "Lord Kanjii is not anticipating what is to come. I can feel the doubts lingering in the council's mind."
"His second sight is waning?" the druid asked. She sneered.
"Just slightly," she snapped. "Do not underestimate his sight. He watches us even now."
"The wards Her Grace have surrounding this place…" the druid began to say.
"They are strong," Haggar replied, "but not impenetrable. She has conversed with me in the darkness of the void. His power is that great, and She is aware of it."
"The Coven will succeed in its task," the druid said. "The gods will bring forth a new age that will cover the universe in void, and bring all prosperity to our feet."
"Do not waver in your focus," Haggar snapped. "I feel it even now…..Voltron still lives. Without its power in my grasp, I will not survive Her coming. Lord Kanjii is angered by the lack of progress. He knows I see the anger in his mind, and he sees what I have planned. Let us put that plan into motion…and see what fate holds for us." They move towards a set of doors, and as they slowly opened, an impending figure stood before them…Haggar's final solution.
Pidge watched as Vince began quickly mixing chemicals together. Chip and Katie stood nearby, almost as astonished at Vince's apparent speed.
"How are you doing that?" Pidge asked.
"I honestly don't know," Vince said. "Might wanna consult the Voltcom's instruction manual."
"The Voltcoms have never….really done this though," Pidge said.
"I need more lake water samples," Vince said. "And some more supplies from the cage."
"We'll get it," Chip said, leading Katie away.
"You guys head to the cage," Pidge said. "Lower level. Afterwards, I want to look at the damage to the main Control Room." Chip and Katie left. "I'll get the water samples….but Vince, after this is over, I think we really need to look at that Voltcom of yours."
"I agree," Vince said, never taking his eyes off his work. "Something set it off….something Xavier whispered to me."
"What was it?" Pidge asked. Vince's lips moved, but Pidge couldn't hear a sound. He watched as Vince's Voltcom began to flash. Pidge began to take notice the flash pattern, and the fact that it was not random….it was a binary message. "Awake."
Keith and Allura walked into the Royal quarters. Alexander's eyes immediately turned from Nanny towards his parents, and a smile appeared on his face.
"Daddy!" he shouted as he ran to Keith and hugged his legs. Keith lifted him up, smiling back at him. "Did you have a good trip?"
"Isn't he inquisitive?" Allura replied with a laugh.
"He's been more than a bit inquisituive," Nanny scolded. "And Rory has been fussy all afternoon. She needs her mama." She turned her gaze to Keith. "I thought your days of gallivanting were over! All this running around, getting into trouble. These children need you!"
"I always bring her back safe and sound," Keith said, trying to console the poor woman. Allura looked at him and smirked.
"It's a good thing that you do!" she snapped. Keith looked back at Alexander.
"Our trip was fun," Keith said. "But we're back now."
"Did you bring me anything?' he asked. Keith gave him a hug before setting him down.
"Not this time," he replied. Alex bowed his head. "Next time I will though, ok?"
"OK," Alex replied, smiling again.
"You heard we found Pidge?" Allura said to Nanny.
"Is that so?" Nanny asked. "It was a shock seeing that ship explode….thank the gods he wasn't on there after all!"
"Now we can finally get repairs done on the Control Room," Keith said.
"You best get that place cleaned up," Nanny scolded. "Your son has been sneaking off and trying to snoop through the rubble!" Keith looked down at Alex with a slight frown. Alex bowed his head, knowing he was in trouble.
"You know you're not supposed to be anywhere near the Control Room," Keith said.
"I'm sorry, daddy," he replied. "I heard the kitty and wanted to find it." Keith looked over at Allura, and she shrugged.
"Just promise me you won't wander off looking for kitties or anything else while we're gone, ok?" Keith said.
"OK, daddy," Alex replied. Keith rubbed Alex's head, messing his hair a bit. Allura smirked, while Nanny shot him a death glare.
"You know how long it took to get his hair perfectly combed?" she snapped. It was as if fire were coming from her mouth as she spoke.
"How long must I stay here before I can join my father's crusade?" the young Drule girl asked.
"Until you are ready," the man walking with her said, his tan skin darkening as they walked through the tunnel towards the adjoining building.
"My skills are second to none," she snarked.
"Second to your brother's at times," he quipped back.
"Yet I am kept here," she replied, "kept out of sight….like a monster, or some freak. While my brother is every bit as much a freak. The taboo of being a 'half-breed' running rampant through the entire empire. While Pollux lay in waste, I remain here, my bloodlust unsated."
"You have not even reached the age of sonura," the man said. "You have no bloodlust in you. Your sword swings betray you."
"My anger is real enough," she snapped. "I have no desire to remain on this planet for the rest of eternity. My destiny is not here…..in this pit of skulls. You say I have no bloodlust, Maestro…..then tell me what feeds my rage. And if you cannot even sense rage that powerful, then you have failed as a teacher, and in time, you will die."
"But that day is not today," the name said. "But….the day you do overcome that little obstacle….perhaps that will be the day you are truly ready in my eyes."
That same girl, years older, sits in the cockpit of her ship, gripping the controls tightly. Her thoughts drift back from the back and into the present once more. She smiled and whispered to herself.
"The day has come."
To be continued…..
