I Own Nothing Twilight
Tanya's POV
"Tanya!" Trevor crowed happily over the phone. "To what do I owe this unexpected surprise call from my old beautiful friend?" He really was a sweet talker. He always had been.
"Hello Trevor," I replied politely. "I wish I could say this call was for a happy reason, but I can not. I am in desperate need of your help," I told him with a hurried and pleading desperation. "My family—specifically my niece Bella—needs your help. She's been through a very long and troubled ordeal..."
"Tanya, slow down," Trevor said calmly. "Start from the beginning. You know I will try and help in any ways that I can."
Taking a deep unneeded cleansing breath, I went into detail of what had happened over the last decade with Bella and Edward, everything that she had suffered over, everything that had happened after she found out about Edward and everything that had occurred in the months that had transgressed since she had disappeared and reappeared. To say it was a pleasant conversation would be an absolute lie. It was anything but, but I needed to find help for my only niece. Every family member had caused this mess and it was up to us to set it right...no matter what the cost was. For Christ sake Carlisle was willing to give up his centuries of life to get her back.
"She's hurting so badly Trevor," I whimpered, my lower lip trembling. "I fear the worst, if she doesn't get the proper help. I mean it's not like we can stick her in with a human therapist and have Bella spill her guts to them. You are our last hope...please help us." I begged him unashamed. "Carlisle is willing to give you what ever you desire if you agree to help, and I as well will give you anything you want." I told him, willing to enslave my body and soul to this man if he were to help my troubled niece.
"Tanya, you know I do not require anything." He told me with honesty ringing in his tone. "I only want to help the girl. Of course I will be getting something out of it though. I get the knowledge and experience of working with Bella. I think this will benefit her greatly, she sounds like she's in a world of pain and needs someone that isn't directly attached to the family to listen." He said to me. I took every word he spoke and committed to memory, in case Carlisle would like to know about our spoken conversation over the phone. "Let me finish some things up over on my end, I have an old friend that is dropping by tomorrow afternoon for a little while. I should be on the road in the early morning. I will see you in as little as three days. I must go, but I look forward to seeing you soon."
We hung up with each other and I let out a heavy breath of deep gratitude towards my friend Trevor. Taking a few minutes to collect myself, I quickly called Carlisle and Esme to tell them the wonderful news.
"He's coming, in three days. He wants nothing in return but the experience. He feels for Bella and everything that she has been through," I told Carlisle and the rest of the family as I heard the line open. I knew I was on speaker, by the tiny humming noises in the background. I guessed it was the television set. "My friend, Trevor, agrees that having someone out side of the family would be a good thing for Bella. A totally bias opinion and outlook on everything that has come to pass and that will arrive to pass in the times to come."
"Thank you Tanya," Carlisle breathed. "I will never be able to repay you or Trevor for this. How is Bella doing?"
"She sleeps a lot of the time, and eats little bits at a time; Garret has barely left her side since she's arrived here. Bella worries that you are angry with her for leaving..." I snorted at my own words. "...Worry isn't the right word," I clarified. "Bella is utterly horrified that she's made you very angry with her by disappearing."
"I'm not though," He told me hurriedly.
"I know Carlisle," I whispered trying to keep my voice low so Bella if she entered wouldn't hear that I was on the phone with her family. "She misses you all though, she has told Garret that much. I think it's the lying and deceit that hurt her the most, along with the confusion over Edward."
"I can see how that would be a domination factor", Esme whispered sadly.
"At times she seems fine and is willing to call...but something changes abruptly and she turns and runs away. If I am right...and I think I might be with this. It almost looks as though she is fighting a part of herself, like she's almost afraid to face anyone, well anyone but Garret."
"I have never been more grateful than I am this very second, for introducing Kate and Garret," I heard Alice whisper in the background. I was grateful just as much, for the fact of my sister so overwhelming happy and having Garret be there for our niece and daughter, and sister to others.
"I'll give you an update soon, and I will get Trevor to call you when he gets in so you to can speak at length. I am sure he will want asses Bella when he arrives, so he may even call you after they have spoken." I told them.
"I look forward to hearing from him," Carlisle said with what sounded like a sigh of relief. "And please let me know if any thing else comes up. How is Bella today?"
"Sombre. Garret told her about Trevor, about what he does, what he is, and that he wants to try and help her. Surprisingly enough she agreed to it. I think she has finally accepted the fact that she needs help. She knows she's stuck and in all honesty, I think that's what has her upset the most." I tried my best to fill them in on all of Bella's mood swings and the conversations—what little we have had—without spilling too much private information. "Mostly Bella is just angry or sad or just burst into tears for no apparent reason. Garrett is beside himself on how to help her. He rarely leaves Bella's side, but on the plus side, he got her to eat her dinner last night and breakfast this morning."
"That's good news," Esme said with hope shinning in her voice.
"It is," I agreed.
"I sense a 'but' coming on," Jasper sighed.
"She hasn't touched the piano, she hasn't even glanced at her treadmill or painted or anything that used to bring her an ounce of happiness. She doesn't read or shop online...it's almost like she's becoming a shadow of who she is or was—I guess is a better analogy—it's frightening Carlisle. I'm going to send you a picture of her that Irena too yesterday while Bella wasn't paying attention—not that she pays attention to anything these days. Look I have to go, Bella is coming but I will call you later when she is either sleeping or I go out for my hunt."
I didn't wait for a goodbye or give one. I quickly hit the 'end call' button and stuffed my phone in my pocket. Bella walked past me, as if I didn't exist towards the house phone, and then quietly asked me for some privacy. I didn't utter a word as I swiftly left the room, keeping one half of my attention on Bella's conversation and the other half on my tasks at hand.
"Hello...Bella?"
"Hi, daddy..."
