Captain Zala
Hey All,
So the story's coming to an end soon. I was going to make this the final chapter but as I was writing it, it just became longer and longer so I had to split it into two parts.
Please enjoy Part A – I have a bit more work on Part B but it's mostly done. Hopefully, I'll update soon. Hope you enjoy!
Just some reminders: my grammar and spelling suck and they speak modern English. Enjoy! No flames please! Thanks for reading/reviewing! :)

Recap:
"But… but why do they have to die?! Why can't we just leave them stranded or something?!" Shinn pleaded, he didn't want to see the others die.
"Shinn we talked about this. This is the only way to start anew. If we left them they would find away back and Zala and his crew would kill us! You know this is the only way. Once Zala and the others are gone we can rebuild the Archangel. Shinn don't forget Zala has killed many innocent people. He's ruined families, just like the one you use to have. Don't forget why we are doing this. Now you better rest, we are planning to head out at the first light of daylight tomorrow." Gilbert said.
Shinn frowned he was glad he talked to Gilbert. Gilbert had helped. Shinn knew what to do he knew what he needed to do. With the thought in mind he started his way down the hall.
Chapter 25 – Part A
- Palace-
Shinn stood in front of his brothers. Well he wasn't sure he could still call them that after everything he had done to them.
He frowned as they screamed angry words at him, told him to die, and that he wasn't one of them anymore. He knew he made a mistake that he picked Gilbert over them. But apart of him hoped that deep down the crew would forgive him, and take him back.
Shinn turned to Athrun and frowned as he noticed the blue haired Captain did not once look his way. He hadn't even knowledge his arrival.
"What are you doing here? Came to see our faces one last time before we die," hissed Dearka as he came closer to the cell doors to get a better view of the boy.
"N...no… I... I came-" Shinn started only to be cut off by Yzak.
"You came here to what?! Tell us how stupid we were to ever trust you?! That we should have never let you join us. We should have left you to die!"
Shinn knew they were mad, and he deserved everything there were saying. However, he needed them to trust him right now, even just for a little while. He needed to right a wrong; he needed to free them.
"Look I made a mistake. I fucked up big! What Gilbert told me… I…I believed. I believed we were doing the right thing! But I was getting used. I realized I trusted the wrong man. I should have never listened to Gilbert, he was just using me," Shinn said looking away. He still couldn't believe he had betrayed his brothers.
"Look Shinn, we don't give a crap. What do you want," Dreaka hissed in anger.
Shinn held up the keys. He looked up at his brothers and watched as they gazed at the keys in confusion then realized what they were for.
Shinn started to unlock the first cell door and said, "We need to go fast. I'm sure they realized the keys are missing by now. They maybe ready for us." He finished unlocking the cell with Athrun and walked to unlock the next.
As he opened the final cell a light blue haired boy came charging at him. Auel knocked Shinn to the ground hard, and ended up on top of Shinn. Shinn didn't have enough time to bring his hands up to block his face as he felt a fist land on his face followed by another.
"You son of a bitch! I'm going to kill you," Auel screamed as he attacked Shinn.
Luck for Shinn, by the fourth blow Auel was pulled off. Shinn looked up and noticed Athrun had pulled Auel off and was frowning at Auel. Shinn was glad that Athrun still cared, but then he looked into the Captain's eyes and didn't see any emotions.
"Auel, we don't have time for this. We need to get back to the Archangel and reclaim our ship," Athrun said as he let go of Auel and started his way out of the dungeon.
Shinn frowned, so he wasn't forgiven. He sat up and was surprised when he saw a hand in front of his, ready to help him up. Taking the waiting hand Shinn stood up, he smiled at the owner of the hand and noticed it was Nicole. Shinn was glad he still had one brother in this crew. Nicole smiled and told him they needed to get out of here. That once they were on the ship they could work things out.
"He's never going to forgive me," Shinn said to Nicole.
Nicole looked at Shinn and sent him a small smile. However, it was Kira that responded.
"He needs time. But know this he will make you suffer for what you did before he can trust you again; before you can finally be apart of this crew again."
Shinn nodded and knew he needed to work hard to get his brothers to trust him again.
-Town-
Mwu looked all over town for Murrue however, he couldn't find her! She was nowhere to be found. Where could she be? He had asked anyone that been at the market and no one knew where she was. One baker had said he saw Murrue heading back home but that been hours ago. Mwu was starting to panic, something was wrong.
As Mwu started his way back home to make sure she wasn't home, he stopped as an apple rolled towards his foot. Picking it up he started walking towards the direction it came from. Once he was at the source Mwu froze.
There on the ground was food. Food items that he remembered Murrue picking up. Shit he had been right along. Something had happen to Murrue.
He looked around to see if there was any led and signs to help him find what happened to Murrue. Where she could be. He looked around the area, surveying the place and that's when he saw the ship on the docks. Murrue had told him about Rau. She had told him everything that masked mad man had done to her on board. She had told him about his crazy obsession of his to make her, his. And Mwu just knew wherever Murrue had gone missing it was because of Rau. Rau had access to any location and could walk freely around town, he was untouchable and Mwu knew he was behind this. He was trying to take Murrue away. Mwu knew Rau had taken Murrue and there was only one place he could have taken her and it was aboard The Archangel.
With that in mind Mwu ran towards the ship. He was not going to lose his woman, no he would fight for her, and he would not give up on getting her back!
- Archangel-
Murrue was tried of this! She didn't know how much time had passed but she was sick and tried of waiting in this room. Once Rau had left her he hadn't return since. She tried opening the door by banging on it however it was locked from the outside.
Murrue needed to find away out of here, she needed to get back home, back to Mwu and Cagalli. There was no way she was going to be sailing with the Archangel again.
Murrue sat down on the bed looking at the door. There had to be some way she could get out of here. There just had to be. Just then she heard footsteps coming from the other side of the door.
Murrue knew who it was even before the door opened. Only Rau would come to visit her.
"What do you want," Murrue hissed as she watched him come into the room and close the door behind him.
He stayed quiet as he watched her for the longest time. It was starting to make Murrue uncomfortable. She really wanted to get the hell out of here. "I know you didn't come here to watch me," Murrue hissed trying to get him to talk.
Luckily he did. He walked deeper into the room and finally said, "Murrue you should know what I want. I just want you and looks like I'm getting what I want."
Murrue glared at him. She knew what he was talking about and didn't like it. Of course she wasn't going to let him have her. She wasn't something he could just take.
"Why don't you do us all some good and leave Heliopolis once and for all!" Murrue hissed standing up. She was sick and tried of all this!
He smiled and walked closer to the brunette. "If I do leave I'm taking you with me, love."
Murrue was about to say something but froze as she heard a faint familiar voice. She looked at Rau and noticed he'd heard it to and the smile on his face quickly turned into a frown. Mwu was on board looking for her.
Just as Murrue was going to call out for Mwu, Rau came up behind her and placed his hand on her mouth stopping her. She looked up at Rau with hate and struggled to break free. She needed Mwu to know she was down here.
"So I see your lover came looking for you. It's too bad he won't find you," Rau whispered into her ear.
Murrue struggled harder. Mwu was going to find her. She would scream until he came for her. She was not going down without a fight. Finding an opening she bit down on Rau's hand causing him to hiss in pain and let go.
Murrue took a deep breath and screamed, "Mw-" however, was quickly cut off by Rau again as his hand reappeared over her mouth.
"Listen here, if you scream you're here I will get every pirate up there to skin him alive. You understand me?" Murrue frozen and took in what he said. Murrue shook her head yes. So Rau continued, "I'm going to let go now but if you scream I will keep my word and kill him." With that he let go and took a step back.
Murrue looked at him. She knew he wasn't lying. He really would kill Mwu if she did something. She watched as he started towards the door.
"Now if you make any noise I will kill him. It's your choice if you want him to live a life without you or dead trying to save you," Rau said as he walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.
Murrue stumbled over towards the bed and fell on it. She couldn't lose Mwu. She couldn't let him dead to save her. She knew Rau would keep his word... She knew he wouldn't kill Mwu if she stayed quiet and stayed with Rau. She hated the thought of spending time with Rau. That was the last thing she wanted. But if it meant Mwu would be safe she would do it, but not without being difficult.
Once Rau reached up on deck he noticed the blonde haired man right away. Mwu was harassing one of his men. Smiling Rau walked over towards Mwu, finally he was going to have the showdown he'd been waiting for.
Mwu noticed all the crewmembers looking at something or someone so he turned and noticed a purple haired man, with a mask coming towards him. This must be the man Murrue had told him about. He watched as Rau told one of his man's something and then the man disappeared down the stairs.
Frowning Mwu tried to see where the man was headed but he disappeared into darkness. Frowning Mwu started towards Rau.
"I know she's here. Where's Murrue?" Mwu hissed as he stood in front of Rau. He wanted his wife back, and he was going to do everything in his power to get her back.
"I'm sorry you lost your wife. But I can tell you she's not here. Maybe you should keep a better watch over her."
"You son of a bitch," Mwu hissed coming closer to Rau. He had to stop himself as he noticed Rau's crew's hands were reaching for their swords. The last thing Mwu wanted was for these pirates to have a reason to kill him. So he stopped and put his hands up to show he meant no harm. He noticed the frown on Rau's face and knew Rau was trying to get him worked up.
"If you really say she's not here then you won't mind if I go down there and check," Mwu said sidestepping Rau and was about to start his way down, however he was blocked from going any farther by a sword in front of him. He looked to the owner of the sword and that's when he knew Murrue was here.
"Trust me I will get my woman back even if it kills me," Mwu said and with that Mwu took his sword out and blocked the swung Rau was just delivering.
-Palace-
Shinn ran by his brothers. He knew some of them still hated him for what he'd done; however others had his back.
He looked at Athrun and noticed the Captain was still not looking at him. Athrun had not once spoken to him since Shinn let the crew free. Shinn knew he messed up but he needed Athrun to talk to him, to scream and yell at him to call him a dumb bastard. He wanted something!
Shinn frowned as he watched his fellow crewmembers walked out the palace doors heading back to the ship. However, Shinn couldn't leave… not yet. He stopped walking. If he left now he would be leaving Stella. He wouldn't be able to see her beautiful eyes or watch her face turn pick every time he was near. He wouldn't be able to tell her how he felt about her. He knew he had treated her poorly but he never was good at showing his true emotions. He knew that wasn't an excuse but if he could he wanted to start over. Tell the princess that whenever he was near her his heart would beat fast. That she haunted him in his dreams and whenever he closed his eyes he saw her, heard her. That he loved her.
He couldn't leave without telling her that he cared for her! That if she would want him he would stay back for her. But even if she said no to him, he wanted to make sure she didn't make a mistake and marry that Prince. Prince Orga was not right for Stella. He wouldn't keep her happy.
With that thought in mind he turned and started back into the palace, he was going to find her and tell her he was a fool and he loved her. However, just as he started his way back Nicole stopped him by asked him what he was doing.
Shinn smiled and said, "I need to do something really important! I'll meet you back on the ship." With that he was gone.
Nicole frowned as he watched Shinn running back into the palace. Nicole knew Athrun was furious with the boy and it would take a lot for Shinn to get back on Athrun's good side, but didn't mean Shinn needed to hide. However, no matter what Shinn had done he was still apart of this crew. He was still one of them.
Nicole turned towards Athrun, and noticed Athrun stood watching Shinn leave. "Captain... Are you going to let him go alone? I know he made a mistake but he's young and we all make mistakes. When you first started you did things just as bad as Shinn. But Kira, Yzak, your whole crew forgave you. Are you really going to turn your back on him?" Nicole said. Hoping Athrun would not give up on Shinn. Shinn was a good kid by heart he had just been lost for a moment.
"Shinn is not my responsibility. If he wants to die by going back in the palace, let him. He can finally learn from his mistakes." Athrun said as he looked at Nicole. He noticed the frown on the green haired boy and frowned himself. "If you care about your own life you need to keep running and get back to the Archangel like the rest of our men. We don't have time for this. We have more important things to do like getting out and taking Gilbert and his men down.
"And what about our family? Are you really going to let a man fall for one mistake, that anyone could have made?" Nicole said. With that he started to head back into the palace to help Shinn. If Athrun wanted to pretend he didn't care for Shinn and let the poor boy dead, Nicole wasn't going to just sit and do nothing.
However just as he turned Athrun grabbed his arm stopping him. "Don't be a fool," Athrun hissed.
Nicole gave Athrun a death glare and tried to get his hand free. He was not going to let Shinn die.
"Fuck," Athrun yelled, before he started talking again, "I'll go get him. You get back on the ship now!"
With that Athrun let go of Nicole and started his way deeper into the palace looking for the black haired boy.
Nicole smiled as he watched Athrun go. He was glad Athrun still cared about the crew and just hoped that Shinn and Athrun would be alright!
Kira watched as Athrun ran after Shinn. He smiled knowing Athrun still cared. That's when a thought came to Kira's mind stopping him. Lacus! No he couldn't leave not yet. He needed to find her. He needed to save her and bring her back to the ship. He knew she had to be somewhere in the palace, he just needed to find her. With that he started his way back only to be stopped by Nicole grabbed his arm.
"Kira what is it? We need to get back to the ship. Athrun will find us," Nicole said in worry.
"I can't. I need to find Lacus. I know she's still here. I have to find her and bring her back," Kira said as he tried to loosen Nicole's grip.
"Kira you're in no condition to help her. You won't make it far, and you wouldn't be able to hold up in a fight!" Nicole said worried.
As much as Kira knew that was true he couldn't let Lacus down. No he needed to protect her, he needed to keep her safe; even if it meant losing his life.
"I don't care. I need to save her," Kira hissed.
"Kira, you go back to the ship with Nicole and the others and we'll look for Lacus and bring her back," String said as he came up behind Nicole.
Nicole smiled up at String and was glad he'd do this for Kira.
"But... But I need-" Kira started only to be stopped by Auel.
"Look Kira, Nicole's right. You're hurt and won't be able to help Lacus. We promise we'll bring her back to the ship, we'll do whatever we need to, to keep her safe." Auel said.
Kira look a deep breath. As much as he wanted to go himself he knew they were right. With that he agreed and started out of the palace with Nicole. He looked back once more and watched as Auel and String disappeared deeper into the palace.
Kira just hoped Lacus was alright.
Stella needed to do this. She needed to talk to Prince Orga and tell him how she felt. Sure she was the one who had agreed to marry him and was willing to stick to her deciding even thou it killed her inside. But now she wasn't so sure she could do it. She didn't think she could live the rest of her life with this man. She would never be happy; she couldn't live a life like that.
Stella had spent her days getting to know Prince Orga better and what she saw she didn't like. The first couple of days he seemed like the perfect man, however that all changed as the days went on. She started noticing things about him that she knew she couldn't live with. First it had been little things such as him discussing his hate for pirates most of the time, but from there he was starting to control her, manipulate her, and Stella could not marry someone like that. She didn't want to be stuck in a marriage she would regret her entire life.
So here she was in front of his quarters... about to tell him she couldn't go though with this marriage. She hoped he would understand.
Stella knocked on the door and didn't need to wait long as the Prince opened the door. He looked at her in surprise before he replaced the look with a smile on his face.
"Princess, what can I do for you?" Orga said, as he stepped out of hid room.
Stella returned his smiled. She couldn't talk to him here. She had hoped he would invite her in but as he stepped out he closed his room's door behind him. "Would you mind accompanying me to the living quarters. I need to talk to you," Stella said.
She watched as he nodded and then jumped as she felt his hand on the small of her back as he led her down the hallway to the living quarters.
Stella knew she was making the right choice. She couldn't spend the rest of her life feeling uncomfortable and shivering from the man's touch.
As they entered the living quarters Orga turned to the guards around them and dismissed them. Stella smiled, what she wanted to say was better with just Orga and her. She smiled up at him as he finally turned to her and waited for her to speak. She looked down not being able to have the courage to look him in the eyes and tell him she couldn't marry him.
"Orga, these past few days I've gotten to know you and it's been great. You are a lovely, wonderful man. You'll make any girl feel special... But I...I don't think I'm that girl." Stella finally looked up. She needed to see his reaction. She didn't want to hurt him but he needed to know. "I'm so sorry. It's just I'm in love with someone else. I can't marry you! If we did I wouldn't truly ever love you, and you deserve so much more. I'm truly sorry."
Stella knew he wasn't happy. The smile on his face had turned into a deep frown and he looked furious. Stella felt like running, felt like hiding but she knew what she was doing was the right thing.
Orga took a step closer. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. As he got closer to Stella he grabbed her arm. He needed to know who this man was she was picking over him? How dare she love another when he'd been nothing but prefect to her?!
"Who is it Stella?" Orga asked. He watched as she looked down in embarrassment and that push him over the top. Who did she think she was? He used his free hand and grabbed her chin pulling her face up to look at him. He was going to get an answer from her no matter what. Who could this man be? For all he knew Stella didn't talk to many people here. The only people he'd seen her talk to were her father, that female pirate... and that black haired pirate. Well she didn't really talk to him. Every time he came towards her she would look away in embarrassment. Just like she was doing now. Shit! Fuck! It was him! The princess was in love with a bloody pirate.
Orga was steaming. The princess didn't want to marry him because she was in love with a pirate?! He started to laugh and saw the fear forming in her eyes. He would not lose her to a damn pirate. "You're in love with a pirate! A dirty no good pirate?! They must have messed you up back on that ship. What did he use you for, that you think it was love! Don't be stupid. Pirates don't know how to love. They use people for they're pleasure than get rid of them. Don't be a idiot!" He said laughing at her.
"I...I'm not an idiot. I've known for a long time. But I thought if I married you everything would be better. That everyone I love would be happier. But then I realized that I won't be happy. I would start to regret my life, maybe even hate it. I would come to hate you. I can't marry you. I'm sorry if this hurts you." Stella said putting her hands on his hand that was holding her face tightly. She tried to get him to let go of her face and thankfully he did.
However, he was looking at her in hate now. Stella had never seen Prince Orga look so angry in all the time she knew him. She could tell he wasn't happy and would put up a fight.
"Hear this Stella," Orga started. His hand that had been previously holding her face went into her hair. He pulled her closer to him and pulled her hair back bringing her head up to look at him. "You're going to be wedded to me, and you will behaviour like a prefect princess. You will not ruin this for me! Once we are married not only Alliance but your home with become powerful. So be a good girl and don't ruin this!" He hissed. He was done playing the nice guy. These past few days he had been nothing but a gentleman to her and what did that get him... nothing. He was done trying to get her to like him. If she wouldn't marry him on her own will; he would get her to marry him in fear.
Stella could feel the tears in her eyes building up. His grip was getting painful and as he spoke it only got tighter. Stella struggled for release. He was hurting her and she still couldn't believe what he was saying. This 'good Prince' had all been an act from the start. He never truly wanted Stella to fall in love with him; he just wanted her to be happy so he could become powerful. So he could make his country stronger. How dare he use her! Stella was tried of being used.
However, she wasn't strong enough to get out of his painful hold. Stella wanted to scream for help, to get him to let go but she couldn't. He had sent the guards away and no one was going to come for her.
"What are you doing. Let her go!" Came a voice from behind the Prince. Stella didn't need to look to know who that voice belonged to. She couldn't help but smile as she noticed red ruby eyes looking at her in concern. Did he come for her? No there was no way Shinn came looking for her. He made it clear he didn't like her that he couldn't even stand being near her.
Stella watched in silent as Shinn came deep into the room. As he neared the Prince, Orga frowned and his grip tightened. Stella couldn't help but hiss in pain. That for some reason made Shinn angrier. Before Stella knew what was happening, Shinn has gotten the Prince to let her go and pushed her safely behind him. Then he turned towards her with worried eyes.
"Are you okay," Shinn asked brining his hands closer to her face.
Stella couldn't help but turn red. Never had he been so nice to her. She couldn't believe this was the same boy that liked to torment her.
"Don't you dare touch her! I will do what I want with her," Orga hissed as he watched the exchange between the two. It made him sick. How could Stella let a pirate touch her?!
"While I'm here, I'll make sure you don't touch Stella again," Shinn spat at the Prince.
Orga was not going to waste his time talking to a dirty pirate. No he couldn't concern himself with them. So he turned his attention towards Stella. "Is this what you want Stella? You really want this dirty low-life pirate over me. He'll never be able to make you happy. You will regret this!" Orga screamed. He was beyond pissed. He couldn't believe her. Right now he wanted to hurt her. Show her no one rejected Prince Orga! Orga couldn't handle it... the look in Stella's eyes made him lose control. She was looking at Shinn like she couldn't live without him. No he couldn't stand this, so with that he came charging for her. He would show her that no one rejects Prince Orga!
- Town-
Cagalli knew what was happening she could hear it from miles away. She could hear the screaming, yelling, and running. The only other time Heliopolis sounded like this was the first time the pirates had attached. Cagalli knew they were free, she didn't know how but she knew Stella was involved somehow. Smiling with joy Cagalli ran towards the palace, she was finally going to see Kira, her friends and Athrun. Cagalli couldn't wait to see the Captain; she couldn't wait to tell him that she missed seeing him, missing hearing his voice... just missed being around him. It was crazy but she hadn't realized how much she missed being with the Archangel crew.
As Cagalli neared she could see the pirates coming down the stairs of the palace and running towards the ocean. She waited until she noticed Kira coming out. As she started to call out to him, she was stopped as a hand was put on her mouth stopping her from calling out.
Cagalli felt the hand tighten, and then she was pulled into someone chest. Struggling Cagalli look up and froze... Yunna!
Cagalli struggled harder as Yunna started dragged her away from the palace towards a nearby empty house. No, no Cagalli needed to get out; she needed to get to Kira and the others.
Cagalli looked up at Kira and the others and prayed one of them would see her. However, as Yunna entered the house and shut the door behind him, Cagalli's hopes died.
Once inside Yunna threw Cagalli deeper into the room and stood in front of the door blocking her way out. Cagalli finally really looked at him and froze. She'd been too busy worrying about Kira and escaping Yunna that she hadn't noticed the furious look in his eyes. Cagalli stepped away distancing herself. She didn't trust Yunna right now… he would hurt her again.
"When I woke up you were gone," Yunna hissed coming closer.
Cagalli looked around for anything she could use to protect herself but found nothing.
"Cagalli why do you do these things to me? You know you hurt my feelings back there. I didn't want to do this but you leave me no choice. You won't learn..." Yunna continued.
Cagalli watching in horror as he pulled out a gun and aimed it towards her. Would he really shoot her?! Cagalli wasn't sure… he claimed to love her but all he ever did was hurt her. Cagalli wasn't sure what he would do to her anymore. However, Cagalli wasn't going to die without a fight, no not when she was finally happy in her life.
"You wouldn't kill me. You love me right," Cagalli said hoping he would put the gun down.
Yunna shook his head no. He looked at the blonde and responded, "Cagalli of course I love you. I've always loved you... But you've proven countless times that you will never be mines." He started towards her. "You see if you won't be mines, and if I can't have you then I'll make sure no one ever has you!" He finished as he stopped a foot away from her.
Cagalli stared at the gun. She couldn't believe what he was saying, what he was planning! However no matter what happened Cagalli was not going down without a fight. She was not going to let Yunna kill her! No she was going to get out of here. She wouldn't let him destroy her life!
She watched as he stopped in front of her, thee was enough room for her to kick him and run so with that she attacked him.
Cagalli had been so confident her plan would work that she hadn't considered what his reaction would be. So just as she kicked Yunna he screamed and the gun went off.
-Palace-
Lacus knew something was happening, and it was something big. She had a feeling it had to do something with the others. She stood up and started towards the door. She was going to get the hell out of here. Whatever was happening she knew right now no one would be worried about her, so this was her chance to get free. She was going to finally be back with Kira and the others. She would finally be back in the only place that ever felt like home!
As she opened the door, Lacus frowned at the guard standing in front. He looked like he was about to open her door. Lacus didn't like this... she knew these guards had no respect and had done nothing but treat Stella and her badly, and looking at this man Lacus knew he was up to no good.
"Where do you think you're going pirate," the man hissed walking into her room, causing Lacus to step back. Damn she was so close to freedom! She was only a foot away and now she was back in this prison they called a room!
"STOP! HELP!" Lacus screamed, before she was pushed deeper into her room. Lacus looked around for away out. As the guard pushed her deeper into the room, he had closed the door behind him.
"You know this whole thing started because of your captain! You messed up everything. Do you know the first time you all came to attack you killed my Betty. We were suppose to be married in a few weeks but you all took that away from me!" He hissed coming closer Lacus.
Lacus wanted to tell him that she was sorry to hear he lost the love of his life. But she had nothing to do with that. She felt sympathy for the man, but there wasn't anything she could do for him.
"I bet you don't care. I bet you're proud of yourself. That ruining other's lives makes you happy!" He hissed.
Lacus panicked as she bumped into the bed; looking back she frowned as she backed herself up to a dead end. She looked back up at him in fear.
The guard stood in front of her and stopped walking as he noticed she had nowhere to run. Finally he would get revenge for the woman he loved. He would hurt this pirate and make sure her crew knew how it felt to loose their woman. With that thought in mind he grabbed for her throat.
However, Lacus saw him coming and ended up falling on the bed on her back. She was grateful for a second as she noticed the confusion followed by anger on his face. Before she could crawl off the bed and run, he was on her, straddling her and had brought both hands around her neck.
Lacus tried to pry his hands off her throat, however he was too strong. She tried to scratch, and punch at him however she was too weak. She could feel herself growing weaker. She needed to do something. She needed him to get off.
Her hands let go of his and searched for any weapons, any item that would help her get free and use against him. To attack him! She couldn't focus, all she knew in her search was she couldn't find anything. She could feel herself touching items but she ended up knocking them to the ground.
Lacus knew there was nothing she could do. She could hardly grab onto anything. She could feel the tears in her eyes falling, it was getting harder to hold on… she just wanted to close her eyes and sleep.
"You bitch! This is what all of you deserve," the guard hissed.
Lacus stopped fighting, she knew there was no way she could fight him anymore. She could feel herself giving up. Lacus knew she was going to die. She couldn't believe she would never be able to see Kira again. She was not able to tell him that he made her feel special; that no one else had ever made her feel loved like he did. And that she loved him very much.
Lacus closed her eyes; she couldn't keep fight she was getting really tired. However the next thing she knew the weight on her chest was pulled off and she took a deep gulp of breath before she broke into a fist of coughs. She felt someone rolling her on her side and patting her back.
She didn't know what had happened and she didn't care. At the moment all she knew was someone had saved her. That she wasn't going to die today, no she was going to live, and she was going to be able to see Kira and the others again.
Once she had gotten her breathing back to normal and could see again she looked beside her and smiled at String. He sat beside her helping her calm down. She looked to the fallen guard's body and noticed Auel above him. Lacus could feel the tears in her eyes. She was so glad to see them.
"Are you okay?" String asked as he bent down bring his face closer to her.
Lacus shook her head yes, she couldn't talk due to her throat hurting and she knew if she tried nothing would come out. She smiled up at the two to show them she would be okay.
"That's great. We need to get out of here now," Auel started as he stood up and started towards his friends.
They had been so lucky they were in the right part of the palace. Auel was glad they made it in time, he was glad String had heard the cry for help. He was glad String had forced him to go see what it had been. He could still remember as they neared the noise, they had started to hear things being knocked down and knew there was a struggle. Without thinking Auel knocked down the door and froze from the site in front of him.
The big guard had Lacus pinned to the bed and was chocking her. Auel could see she was turning blue and needed to get the man off her. They had made a promise to Kira; they were not going to let anything happen to her.
Now looking at Lacus, Auel was relieved that she was getting her colour back. He could see the bruises on her neck that were forming and frowned. At least she was going to be all right.
With that thought in mind he told the others they needed to leave. More guards would be on their way soon and they needed to get back onto the Archangel.
With that the three of them started their way out of the room.
-Town-
Kira knew he heard something. He knew he had heard a gun being fired, so he ran towards the noise to see. He had lost track of Nicole and it was a good thing as the boy was being over protective. Yes he needed to rest and be looked at properly. But the shit poor job Nicole had done was good enough to hold him up for a while. He was glad for Nicole's help but he didn't need the green haired boy to be over protective.
As Kira walked closer to the source of the noise, he stopped in front of a house. It looked like an abandoned house but didn't sound like one. He walked into the house carefully to not spook whoever was still here. As he entered he searched for any signs of people but didn't see anything. However he could see that a struggle had happened... whoever was involved were nowhere in site now. Maybe he was hearing things; maybe whoever was here before had ran off. With that thought in mind, he started his way back to catch up with the crew. However, just as he got to the door he heard another gunshot followed by a girl's scream. It was coming from the back!
Kira ran as fast as he could until he was at the back of the house. What he saw made his blood freeze. He stared in rage as he saw Cagalli on the ground being dragged by Yunna. What really got Kira angry was the way Cagalli looked! She was crying, and there was blood all over her, she looked… so vulnerable. Kira froze he was suppose to protect her... If she was hurt Kira didn't know what to do. No he needed to save her. With that he ran into Yunna, causing the man to fall to the ground and letting go of Cagalli.
Cagalli looked up in shock and was glad to see Kira was here for her. That he somehow knew she was in trouble.

Athrun frowned once he had located Shinn. What the hell was the boy doing? Walking over to the black haired boy, Athrun pulled him off the prince.
Once Shinn was pulled off he turned around to look at Athrun. Athrun could see the hate in Shinn's eyes.
"You are dead! When the guards come I'll tell them what you did and I'll make sure they skin you alive! Then you won't be able to come near my Princess every again," Prince Orga screamed as he spat out blood. He tried to sit up however a fit of coughs had him back on the ground.
Athrun looked at Shinn in shock. Did Shinn have feelings for the Princess? Has he attacked this Prince for her? Athrun looked at Stella a few feet away and notice she was turning red and looked afraid. The Captain knew something had happened just moments before he arrived.
Shinn smiled. He didn't care what the Prince had said. There was nothing that was going to stop Shinn from admitting his feelings to Stella. Shinn had been looking for Stella, he needed to tell her that every stupid thing he had said and done to her was because he was to scared to admit how much he wanted to be with her. However, when he had seen the Prince attacking her Shinn snapped.
"I'm not going to let that happen. I...I'm not going to let you or anyone else have her. I'm not losing her to you!" Shinn hissed looking at the bleeding Prince. Shinn turned his attention to Stella and notice her looking up at him in surprise. "Stella I'm sorry for everything I've said and done. I was stupid and was trying to push you away. But I realized I don't want to live in a world without you." He looked down in shame knowing after everything he had done to her he had no right to ask her to be with him. But he needed to try. "If you would please give me another chance. I promise I won't make you cry ever! I... I love you."
It was quiet for a while, Athrun looked at Shinn in disbelief, then turned his attention to the Princess who was in shock to answer. These two really needed to hurry up with their drama because the guards would be arriving anytime soon.
"You must be stupid to think that Stella would ever love a di-" Orga started only to be stopped by Stella herself.
"Shut up!" Stella yelled, causing all eyes to turn towards her. She couldn't believe what was happening. This whole time Shinn had feeling for her. Stella had gone crazy thinking of Shinn all the time, thinking he hated her when really he loved her. She didn't know what to say. All she knew was at the moment she was the happiest she'd been in a long time. She looked up at Shinn and smiled. She wanted to be with him too. However, just as she started walking towards him she was stopped by Prince Orga's word.
"Guards in here they are trying to take the Princess again," Prince Orga screamed. Stella looked where Orga was previously laying and noticed he had gotten up and was behind her. She tried to run towards Shinn, however Orga grabbed onto her arm stopping her from leaving his side.
"Let me go," Stella hissed at the prince.
"You stupid little girl. Do you think I'm going to let you leave me for this disgusting pirate? Know this Stella you will be mines."
Athrun was sick and tried of this. They didn't have time for this. As he watched the Prince hiss at Stella, Athrun walked over to the two. Just when Orga turned towards him, Athrun punched the Prince sending him to the ground with a broken nose. With that Athrun started his way out. He stopped at the door and looked at Shinn. "If you want to stay here and die be my guest. But I'm leaving. And trust me I won't come back for you this time," with that he walked out of the room and started his way out of the palace.
Shinn watched as Athrun disappeared from the room. Shinn couldn't believe what he had seen... was Athrun trying to help him? Shinn started his way towards the princess. As he stood in front of her he noticed the blush on her face as she looked at him.
"They're in here!" came voices from the other side.
Shit the guards were here. Without thinking Shinn grabbed the princess lifting her up over his shoulder and ran for the door. He stopped for a second when he noticed Athrun standing there watching him in disbelief. Before Athrun shook his head and started running towards the exit. Shinn followed hoping he hadn't just done something stupid again.
-Archangel-
Thank god Murrue had finally gotten the stupid door open. She'd been trying for a while with no luck. After many attempts she finally heard the click. Murrue knew something was happening up on deck. She could hear swords against swords.
Murrue swung open the door and ran out and started her way up the stairs. Once Murrue was on deck, she stopped to look around. It was chaos... members of Athrun's crew were on the ship defending it from Gilbert's man. How did they get out? Murrue wondered. However, Murrue broke from her thoughts quickly as she heard a familiar male voice hissing in pain. Murrue looked toward the voice and gasped. There was the man she loved fighting Rau. Mwu's arm was bleeding and it looked like he was in pain. Murrue couldn't stop herself as she ran towards Mwu.
"Mwu!" Murrue yelled. She avoided the falling bodies as she ran towards him.
Mwu heard his name; he turned towards the caller and smiled. There was his Murrue coming towards him. He'd known she was here all along. He'd known Rau had been lying from the start. Thankfully she was all right. He was about to start towards her, forgetting the man he was fighting. That was until Rau's sword landed on his right hand, causing Mwu to drop his sword and watch at his hand started to bleed as well. Just as Mwu turned his attention towards Rau, he didn't have enough time to respond to Rau's next move. Rau elbowed him in the stomach sending Mwu down to the ground on his knees. He knew Rau was coming near him with his sword ready to attack.
Shit Mwu was going to die in front of Murrue. Mwu hissed in pain. He didn't want to go out like this; he wasn't supposed to die like this! Mwu closed his eyes, he couldn't look at Murrue; he couldn't' bare seeing the hurt in her eyes. He couldn't believe he was going to put Murrue though this.
"No stop!" Murrue screamed as she ran towards Mwu. No she wasn't going to lose him! She tried her best to make it to him but she knew she wasn't going to make it in time. She screamed as Rau raised his sword and swung it down towards Mwu's helpless body.
Mwu couldn't believe this was how it all ended. He was so mad at himself. He was letting the bad guys win! He was letting everyone he loved down. Shit how could this have happened.
However just as Rau's sword came down for it's attack, it was blocked. Instead of feeling the impact hitting him, Mwu heard metal on metal.
"Glad to see us Rau," Yzak asked as he pushed Rau back putting distances between Rau and the fallen blonde.
Murrue looked in disbelief at the scene in front of her. Stopping Rau's sword from making contact with Mwu was Yzak! Murrue had never in her whole life been so happy to see him!
Murrue finally got to Mwu and fell to her knees in relief before she put her hands on his face getting him to look at her.
When Mwu opened his eyes he was staring into the beautiful face of his wife. He looked behind her and noticed a sliver haired pirate attacking Rau.
"Thank god you're okay!" Murrue half sobbed as she hugged Mwu.
"Me too... What happened?" Mwu asked as he pulled away.
"Yzak saved you. I was so worried!"
"I'm not going to leave you Murrue. You're always going to be stuck with me," Mwu said bring his face closer to her. Mwu placed his lips on Murrue in a passionate lips, he needed Murrue to know he would never leave her.
Rau wasn't completely paying attention to Yzak as he attacked. He was more interested in what was going on behind Yzak. He watched in rage as Mwu kissed Murrue. Damn it... Mwu was suppose to die; he should have died back then! Damn Yzak for coming in the way!
Rau hissed in pain as Yzak's sword made contact with his arm, leaving a small cut. Rau needed to focus on Yzak. Rau needed to kill the bastard before he got rid of Mwu once and for all!

Athrun couldn't believe what Shinn was doing. Did he know there was no way they were going to take the Princess with them! This whole mess started with her being taken in the first place.
Athrun stopped running once he knew they were in the clear and turned to Shinn. Shinn needed to realize what he was doing couldn't continue. "What are you thinking?" Athrun yelled.
Shinn stopped running and turned towards his Captain with a confused look on his face.
"This is what got us in shit in the first place. You need to put the girl down and we need to leave. Without her," Athrun said frowning. Athrun could see the look in Shinn's eye and knew the boy wasn't happy.
"I... I can't leave her. If I just leave her here and run who knows what will happen to her!" Shinn defended, as he came closer to Athrun.
"Look Shinn that has nothing to do with us," Athrun said getting impatient. Why couldn't Shinn understand that the princess stayed here, no matter what!
"It does have something to do with me! I'm done trying to hide my emotions," Shinn hissed. He needed to talk to Stella. He needed to really talk to her. Sure he had shared a bit back there while Orga heard, but he needed to talk to her. Shinn needed to see if she had any feelings for him or was he just making a fool of himself. Shinn needed to tell her how he felt. He placed her down on the ground and turned towards her. Then he continued talking, "Stella I'm sorry for everything I've done. I'm probably going to be hanged for what I just did back there. But I... I have feelings for you and I'm not going to let anyone hurt you. I want to be with you. Everything I said back there in front of Orga I meant it.
I'm sorry of the way I treated you. I'm sorry for everything I've done to you since I met you. But I've never met a girl that made me feel like this… made me forget who I was, what I am. I know I have no right to ask you to give me a chance. But I'm done ignoring my feeling. I'm done denying my feelings. Stella I really like you. I haven't felt this way about any other girl in my whole life. Every time I'm near you I don't know what to say, my heart skips a beat. I know you are a Princess and I'm just some low-life pirate but if you're willing to give us a chance I'm sure we can make this work." Shinn said, watching Stella carefully.
Stella stayed quiet for a while. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She couldn't believe that Shinn had these feeling for her all along. She smiled up at him. She could feel the tears from her eyes falling with joy. She couldn't believe he had feelings for her all this time. That this wasn't a one-sided thing.
Without thinking she ran into his arms and hugged him. She wanted to tell him that she felt the same way but she just couldn't get the words out so she just hugged him. She felt his freeze in shock before he recovered and hugged her back.
"I like you too. I've had feeling for you for a while. I thought you would never like someone like me. I want to be with you. I don't care that you're a pirate. Shinn I want to make this work, I want to be with you," Stella said pulling back to look up at him.
Shinn smiled as he looked down at her. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Without thinking Shinn bend his head and placed his lips over hers. She tasted amazing, like strawberries. He felt her hesitate before she opened her mouth and let him deepen the kiss.
"Okay that's enough. Shinn stop this!" Athrun hissed. He was sick of listening to these two talking about their feeling. They needed to wake up and realize they were never going to be together. That no one would ever accept a princess and pirate's love. "Don't be stupid think about the consequences." Athrun finished.
"I don't care Athrun. I'm going to do my best to make this work. I'm not giving up. I'll do whatever I have to, to be with Stella and make her happy," Shinn said looked at Stella. He knew he could make this work. He could do this with her support; as long as she loved him he would do everything in his power to keep her happy and safe.
"Fine do what you want…I'm going back to the Archangel to claim my ship then I'm going to find and destroy Gilbert," Athrun said as he started his way down the hall. However, he froze as he heard footsteps coming towards them. Shit the guards must have caught up to them. Athrun got ready to attack. However it wasn't that guard the came into view.
"What the hell are you guys doing?! I thought I told you to go to the ship," Athrun hissed, as he watched Auel and String coming closer to them.
"Kira sent us to find Lacus and bring her back," String responded.
Athrun turned his attention towards the pink haired woman and watched as she embraced the Princess. Kira really cared for the girl to make sure she was safely back on board.
All this talk about love made Athrun think about a certain blonde haired girl himself. He needed to see Cagalli one last time before he left. He needed to make sure she was all right; that the purple haired bastard hadn't done anything to her. Maybe even convince her to come travel the seas with him. What was he thinking?! He couldn't ask her to leave her home to be with him. They didn't even know each other.
But first he needed to make sure his crew was safely away from Heliopolis. Even if that meant he needed to come back for Cagalli later, he would. He would make sure she was okay, he would return for her.
Athrun broke from his thoughts as he heard another pair of footsteps coming their way. He knew this time they wouldn't belong to alliance.
He warned the others and they all stood ready to fight.
As the footsteps came into view Athrun frowned. This Prince needed to know when to back down. However this time the Prince was not alone. With him stood 5 guards.
"Let go of Princess Stella. Guards attack!" Prince Orga screamed pointing towards Athrun and his crew.
Athrun frowned, he did not like the odds of this battle, but then again he was a pirate and there was no way he was going to back down from a fight. With that thought in mind, he smiled at the Prince and told his men to get ready for a battle, just as the guards came charging for them.
-Town-
Cagalli walked over towards Kira, once Yunna was on the ground. She couldn't be happier that Kira was okay. Yes he looked like shit but luckily he was still standing.
"Kira I was so worried for you," screamed Cagalli as she embraced Kira. She was so glad he was alive. She was so glad she would finally get to know her brother again.
"I'm not going to leave you again Cagalli. I'm not going to forget you," Kira said as he returned Cagalli's embrace.
She was so glad to hear what Kira had just said. She did not want to lose him again either. After all this time she had finally found apart of her, and she was not going to give it up without a fight.
"Cagalli are you okay?" Kira said, pulling back remembering the blood on her. He looked her over and noticed she had blood on her but he couldn't find the source.
"I'm okay. It was Yunna's blood, he was trying to hurt me but ended up getting hurt," Cagalli said. She smiled at Kira showing him she was okay.
From the corner of her eye she noticed something moving from behind Kira, she moved to get a better look and gasped at what she saw. There standing two feet away from Kira was Yunna, and he was pointing a gun at her brother's head. Cagalli didn't have much time to react but she was able to somehow push Kira out of the way. The shot scraped her in the arm, and Cagalli fell back. Thankfully Kira caught her before she fell to the ground.
"Shit! Cagalli are you okay," Kira screamed, too focused on Cagalli to notice Yunna coming up towards them.
Cagalli was in too much shock to say anything. She felt the pain in her arm, and tried to ignore it. She needed to make sure Kira got out of here safely. She needed to make sure Yunna didn't do anything to him! However, just as she looked up she noticed Yunna coming towards them. Cagalli didn't have enough time to warn Kira as Yunna punched Kira, causing him to drop Cagalli and fall beside her.
Yunna bent down grabbed her by the hair and pulled her up to a standing position. She stood in front of Yunna, blocking Kira from attacking the man. He was using Cagalli as a shield.
Cagalli hissed in pain as Yunna pulled her closer to him and brought the gun to her head. Then he turned his attention to Kira and said, "If you try to act like a hero I will shoot Cagalli."
Kira frowned, there was no way Yunna would hurt Cagalli. He was obsessed with her; he would not hurt her. But Kira didn't want to test that out just in cause Yunna was crazy enough to hurt her.
"Cagalli, Cagalli, Cagalli… why won't you learn," Yunna said bring his face against her and whispering in her ear.
Cagalli tried to pull away, however that just resulted in Yunna pulling her face closer to him and pushed the gun tighter against her head.
Cagalli closed her eyes in fear. After everything that had happen, Yunna was loosing it. He was ready to kill her and himself. Right now Cagalli couldn't trust he won't kill her right here in front of Kira. She felt Yunna starting to move and he dragged her with him. She had not idea where he was taking her but she wasn't going to question him. He stopped however to face Kira.
"Come with us, and if you try anything… I will kill her," Yunna said. He watched as Kira started walking in front and followed behind.
Everytime Kira would look back to see if she was okay Cagalli would smile at him showing she was okay. The last thing she wanted was for Kira to do something to make Yunna attack them both.
As they walked out of the empty house, Cagalli recognized were Yunna was leading them. They were heading back to the palace. But why was Yunna taking them there? What were they going back for?
In a few short minutes Cagalli knew they were going to find out the answers to all her questions.
-Archangel-
Yzak smiled as he looked around. They had successfully gotten their ship back. The Archangel was back in their hands. He watched as his men tired up Gilbert's crew.
"Where's Rau?" Dearka asked coming towards Yzak.
Yzak frowned he had been fighting him, however Rau had slipping away. Then Yzak got busy fighting other men and lost track of Rau.
"He got away," Yzak hissed then continued, "Did you have any lucky finding Gilbert?"
"I don't think he was ever on the ship. He must be back at the palace." Dearka said looking back at the palace. Athrun and the rest needed to be careful. Gilbert was still back there and with him, his strongest players.
This wasn't over yet... the final battle was just approaching.
Mwu couldn't help over hearing the two men. He frowned as he turned towards Murrue.
"Cagalli's back there. We need to go help her," Murrue said.
Mwu nodded and with that they both started their way towards the palace.
End!
The next chapter will be up shortly, almost done working it! Well hope you enjoyed!
Until next time :)
