"How did you come up with that conclusion?" Adam asked with each word cutting the air, Watch understood the anger and was secure that this may be the beginning of the end of their friendship. Before he spoke there was a tingle on his arm, a warm sensation that calmed him instantly. "I don't have any scientific evidence or anything that is reason enough for you to accept, it's just something I feel." Adam seemed about to burst, but then it was as if the same sensation seemed to take him under control and Watch could see the tension release in his body, "How do we help her?" he swallowed.
Watch stood there with no answers, just burning regret and helplessness. "Let me get this straight, you all save this town a million times, or so I expect…and you acting like such babies!" Denise fumed through the entry way, in a very Sally like behavior. "Sorry what?" he asked feeling some life spark inside of him. Denise put her hip out to the side, "You two so don't fit the hero mode. So what if she dies, isn't there something a bit more important to be focusing on here?"
"Such as?"
"Oh I don't know, how about the invisible force that almost killed Sally in the first place?" Denise looked like she was trying to breathe even though she was taking full breaths. "How do you know about that?" Denise waved him off and continued "The whole town could be in danger and you are being so selfish by focusing on Sally and whether or not she is going to live, do you really think that Bum can keep people out of the reservoir forever?" Watch could sense the confusion in the room and he felt that it stemmed primarily from him, how the hell did Denise know any of that? Did Adam tell her? The look on his face said no. "You are completely correct. Denise." She nodded with annoyance, "Uh yeah I am. Look into the invisible people, the sun is about to come up so Sammy and Mike are going to be awake soon. Might want to fill them in on everything, they can totally help."
"Denise, that is … a solid idea that we will look into." Watch offered as he looked deeper in to the eyes of this new blonde friend and saw it, saw her…saw the honey brown behind the blue.
