It was the day after their wedding and Jax and Jessie were spending it going to investigate the warehouse where "Tara's blood" had allegedly been found. The couple, along with Chibs and Happy, had headed out early that morning for the warehouse, determined to find out exactly what Patterson had discovered.
Lines of yellow police tape surrounded the warehouse when they arrived, Jax pulling them away from the door as the four of them entered. Immediately, Jessie zeroed in on the chalk circle and yellow number cars in the middle of the floor, walking over to see the dark stain in the middle of the floor that was supposedly "blood". Happy was close behind her. "There's no fucking way I left that behind. I don't do messy killings unless I feel like it. Jax wanted it clean, I did it clean. That's fake."
Jessie caught a whiff of something, kneeling down beside the stain and sniffing. With a finger, she beckoned Jax and Chibs over. "Smell that." They did as she asked, then shared a look.
"Smells like motor oil." Jessie nodded at Chibs' answer.
"They faked it with oil. Same consistency and appearance."
Jax let out a scoff of disbelief. "That's the stupidest shit I ever heard. They faked blood to build a case against us."
Happy looked at his President, raising an eyebrow. "Do you really expect any different? Patterson's out for blood. Literally." The SAA snorted, entertained by his own joke.
"What do we do if they start crying?" Since Jax, Jessie, Chibs, and Happy were gone to the warehouse and Gemma had gone out to run errands, that left only Juice and Tig as available babysitters. The two men were sitting in the Teller living room, with nothing to do until the four children woke up.
"I wonder if they have the Playboy channel." Tig turned on the TV and began scanning the channel guide, Juice giving him a disbelieving look.
"Yeah, 'cause with four young kids in the house, I'm sure they have the Playboy channel." Juice rolled his eyes at his fellow Son, who only ever seemed concerned with sex.
Tig looked over at Juice once he had decisively found the Playboy channel was not on the Teller TV, and he smirked. "Ya never know, Juice! But hey, I guess with a hot wife like Jessie, Jax doesn't need the Playboy channel."
"Don't you think it's a little weird you're discussing the Queen of SAMCRO in her own house?"
"Not at all. You gotta remember, weird is my middle name, so stating the fact that Jessie's fucking hot while in her house isn't strange at all."
Juice could only shake his head, his attention diverted when he heard a small voice call "Momma" down the hall. Getting up, he walked down the hall to Abel's room, where the oldest Teller child was standing by the door rubbing his eyes. "Hey, Abel, want some breakfast?" He picked the little boy up, Abel asking where his parents were. "Daddy and Momma Jessie went to run some errands, and they left me and Tig here to babysit." That seemed to satisfy Abel, Jax's mini-me waving to Tig as Juice carried him into the kitchen. "Do you want cereal?"
"I want Fruit Loops." He sat in one of the kitchen chairs as Juice found a bowl and a spoon, pouring him cereal and adding some milk. Once he sat the food down in front of Abel, the little boy began to eat, Juice sitting across from him. In a moment they heard one of the twins start crying, and then the sounds of Tig going to the nursery.
"Holy shit, the baby peed on me!"
When Juice made it to the nursery from the kitchen, the sight of Tig holding Blakely at arm's length while wearing a mask of horror on his face. "Relax, man, just change shirts." The mohawked man took Blakely from Tig's arms, laying her on the changing table and, in a surprising display, changed her diaper in rapid time. "Since you apparently can't handle small children, go sit in the kitchen with Abel and I'll pull baby duty."
Once he'd gotten Tig out of the way, Juice smiled at Blakely as he got the tiny baby in his arms and sat in the rocking chair, rocking her until she went back to sleep. As he sat and watched the President's daughter slowly drift back to Dreamland, he couldn't help but smile. One day he only hoped he could have a family. Jax was a lucky man.
Tyne Patterson sat at her desk, surrounded by tall stacks of thick files. One stack held the criminal records of each member of SAMCRO, another stack nothing but incident reports that somehow involved the Sons. Scattered around the stacks were every document, file, anything that related to the Sons of Anarchy, SAMCRO, and its history in Charming. The corkboard on the wall beside her desk held newspaper clippings and the most recent mugshot of each currently active SAMCRO member. Her office had basically turned into a shrine to the club she was so desperate to tear down, because she'd gathered all of this material in the effort to find ammunition to use against them.
She currently had a file folder open in front of her, poring meticulously over the entire life of Jessie James. Her eyes scanned each photo and piece of paper in the file, taking in every piece of Jessie's life. Born in Charming, father was a First 9 member of SAMCRO, mother died when she was twelve and her family moved back to Charming from Oakland, all details that showed Patterson that Jessie was just as closely entwined to SAMCRO as any of the brothers. The most interesting parts of her life emerged when Patterson reviewed her file starting six years ago, around the time Jessie had left Charming for Las Vegas. Turns out Jessie had worked for a massage parlor that fronted a prostitution ring- a parlor that was frequented by bikers- and had also been investigated for the murder-robberies of six men in Nevada. She pulled those records from the file, using a pushpin to attach them to her corkboard before flipping through the other parts of her file, coming upon her mugshots from Nevada. The current Queen of SAMCRO looked much different, sporting dark brown hair and heavy makeup. Searching again, Patterson came upon a set of notes- most likely from one of the investigators on the prostitution case- that also detailed Jessie as a very in-demand stripper during her time in Las Vegas. A list of what she supposed to be her stripper names- they included Josie, Miracle, Glory, Blayze, and Emerald- was also paperclipped into the file. Patterson couldn't help but laugh as she delved in Jessie's history. What she was reading was enough to confront Jessie with and hopefully cause her to turn on Jax and the club in exchange for Patterson not to reveal Jessie's past life to Jax.
Speaking aloud to herself, Patterson smirked evilly. "I'm sure Jackson would be delighted to know the mother of his children is a whore and a murderess." She closed Jessie's file, deciding to finish compiling her arsenal later. Sitting back in her chair, the DA looked out of her window as she imagined Jessie's face when she confronted her.
It would be a highlight of her career when she finally ended the Sons of Anarchy.
