Chapter Twenty Five

(Ib's P.O.V)

I stood there with my hands behind my back, waiting for Garry to come back. Rocking back and forth on my heels, I looked at all the paintings that decorated the wall. My eyes landed on a portrait of a bowel of fruit, it looked like the artiest had spent a great deal of time in working on it, to make sure everything about the drawing was perfect. Taking a step forward, I stopped as the painting wobbled a little and a red apple fell from it and onto the floor. Instead of bouncing, once the fruit made contact with the floor, it collapsed in on itself, looking at it, it looked like that of a rotten apple that had been painting. Some areas had wrinkles as the mush inside came leaking out and staining floor.

The pain on it, looked sloppily done, not looking anything like it did in the painting. A light buzz filled my ears as I watched a fly land on the mush that was on the floor. Shaking my head, I turned my head to the sound of footsteps as I watched Garry come back, a slight frown on his face and a distressed look in his eyes. "Is everything alright?" I asked, for some reason feeling concerned.

"Huh? Yes, everything is fine" Garry said, as he closed his eyes and gave me a wide smile, one that made my heart flutter. Feeling my face heat of a little I shook my head and looked down.

"Alright" I said.

"Anyways, let's get moving" Garry said, as he grabbed my hand, causing me shiver as I felt like I was shocked. Nodding my head, I mentally slapped myself for acting like a school girl that's just finally been noticed by her senpai.

(Garry's P.O.V)

I faced forward, not looking back at Ib as I dragged her. My face was flushed as I kept a straight face on the outside but was squealing on the inside, her skin was soft and smooth. It was perfect just like she was, if only we weren't being hunted down by a psychotic painting, I would express my feelings to her. I felt sane around her, like all those years spent inside this world that was slowly picking away at my mind now meant nothing. I had Ib back, we were going to leave and then nothing could separate us ever again.

As I picked up my pace, I continued to drag Ib behind me. "Garry, slow down" Ib said, as I looked back her to see a slight blush on her face as she looked to be having trouble in catching up to me.

"Oh, sorry" I said sheepishly, while slowing down and allowing her to walk up beside me. My eyes became downcast as she slipped her hands out of my grasp and held it. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow before offering a gentle smile as we started to walk again.

"Its quite alright" she said in a gently voice. Smiling a little I looked around before looking at her and started to strike up a conversation, telling her all the things we went through the first time we were here. I hope that somewhere in her mind she would remember, that after hearing everything I'm saying would jog her memory. She looked at me with an amused expression, but her eyes held doubt, her face falter and she looked at me slightly like I was insane. As if she couldn't believe the words that were coming out of my mouth.

I falter slightly, wondering if I should continue talking, shaking my head I furrowed my brows and continue telling her everything, she would giggle sometimes and other times she look at me with a raised eyebrow, questioning my sanity. But none of that stopped me, I continued, hoping, just praying in my mind that she would remember.
