Sorry its been so long! Life has gotten a little crazy! Please enjoy!
ELSA
Jack was still lying on the floor. Hans had left and I prayed we didn't just make the situation for the Guardians worse by doing so.
"Jack?" I said.
"I'm alright Elsa" Jack groaned.
"Jack" I said, my voice catching.
I then heard a loud noise outside the door and my heart stopped.
"Is anyone in there?" I heard a sweet voice say.
"Tooth?" Jack said looking up.
"Jack! Elsa!" the voice said again "just wait! I'll get you out!"
"Tooth? The Tooth Fairy?" I said.
"Yes" Jack said smiling weakly.
TOOTH
I was flying fast through the different corridors, searching every room for Jack and Elsa.
I then saw a large, heavy door.
"That has to be it" I said to myself.
I quickly flew over and tugged on the handle.
Nothing happened.
"Of course he would lock it" I said under my breath.
"Is anyone in there?" I said, louder.
"Tooth?" I heard Jack's voice say. It sounded weak and a little strained.
"Jack! Elsa!" I said, my heart lifting "just wait! I'll get you out!"
I flew a little ways away from the door and looked at it.
It was a heavy, large door. It looked like it could be a vault door and that was not going to be easy to break down.
I sighed and flew closer, trying to see if there was any weak point I could use to open the door.
I then saw the hinges.
They had pins.
I smiled and flew higher to the first pin and pulled it out, then doing the same to the lower pin.
"I'm coming in" I said "Watch out ok?"
In then flew a few feet back and charged at the door, pushing it down.
ELSA
"We are going to be ok!" I said smiling, my hope was lifting.
"Just a little longer Jack" I said desperately "The Tooth Fairy and the other Guardians will get us out of here and you'll be ok"
"I'm...fine" Jack said groaning and clutching his gut more.
"Just a little longer" I said.
"I'm coming in" Tooth said "Watch out ok?"
I looked at the door and the next moment it came crashing down with a large thud, kicking up all the black sand in the room.
I coughed and closed my eyes to avoid the black sand getting into my lungs and eyes.
I then looked up to see the sand was settling back down.
I saw a women, who looked like a cross between a humming bird and a person. Her feathers were beautiful, a wide array of colors mixing together.
She coughed a bit and waved her hand in front of her face.
"Wow! I did not expect that much sand. Sorry about that" she said.
"Hey Tooth" Jack said weakly.
"Jack! Elsa! Oh than Manny you are ok!" Tooth said smiling and she looked around the cell. seeing us in chains.
"Oh my! I'll get you out of those" Tooth said.
"Elsa" Jack said.
"Yes Jack?" I said.
"Free Elsa first" Jack said.
"Jack...is that your staff?" Tooth said pointing to the broken pieces of Jack's staff in the corner.
"I'll be fine, just save Elsa" Jack said.
"Jack!" I said. He needed help now, I couldn't let him do this!
"Please Elsa. I'll be fine." Jack said, desperately "Tooth?"
Tooth nodded and flew over to me, and knelled down next to me.
She gently touched my face and I smiled.
"You have beautiful teeth Elsa" she said sweetly.
"Thank you" I said.
"Now lets see about these cuffs" Tooth said looking down. I lifted my hands and she saw the encasing metal.
"My powers can't help me. Its made of a special material that just absorbs my magic" I said.
Tooth took them into her hands and started examining them.
"I think I could pick the lock, if only I had the tools" Tooth said.
Her face had a look of deep concentration until she had a look of excitement.
She turned away and scooped up some of the black sand and started molding it in her hands.
"Sandy taught me a few tricks one time and I think the principles still apply here" Tooth sad smiling.
She then had two tools that I assumed were for picking locks.
She then turned one of my hands over and started jiggling the lock until the cuff snapped open.
"How did you learn to do that?" I asked, bringing my hand up to my face and moving it.
"I had to know a few tricks when I was collecting teeth." Tooth said working the other cuff until it also popped open.
I rung my hands together trying to release some of the stiffness.
"Thank you" I said.
"Your welcome dear" Tooth said.
I smiled back and then heard a small groan and gasped.
"Jack!" I yelled, quickly moving across the cell, practically crawling to get to Jack.
I was knelling next to him, his body curled in pain on the floor.
My hands were shaking as I tentatively touched his cheek. He turned to me and smiled.
"Elsa" he sighed, leaning into my hand.
"Jack" I said smiling and leaning in, kissing his forehead.
"Don't worry about me Elsa. I've been through much worse. Can't really think of it know but.."Jack said.
I chuckled slightly and caressed his face.
"Elsa? Jack?" Tooth said behind us.
She fluttered down next to us and held the broken remains of Jack's staff.
"You said Pitch broke your staff before? Can you fix it again?" Tooth said.
"I can try" Jack said.
Tooth nodded and set the staff down she then unlocked the cuffs that held Jack and tossed aside the lock picking tools.
"Help me up?" Jack asked and we both nodded.
We carefully lifted his up and he leaned against the wall with a groan.
He saw the worry in my eyes and lifted his hand to caress my face.
"I'll be fine once my staff is back together" Jack said.
Tooth then picked up the staff and Jack took it in his hands.
He placed the broken pieces together and concentrated. There were a couple blew sparks but nothing happened.
Jack let out a sigh of disappointment and tried again.
Now there were no sparks of magic.
"Its not working...it worked last time" Jack said defeated and his arms dropping to his sides.
"You may not have enough energy" Tooth said.
I chewed the inside of my cheek and clenched my fists.
I had an idea that was crazy enough it might work.
I quickly grabbed the broken staff out of Jack's hands and fit them together.
JACK
"We are going to be ok!" Elsa said smiling.
"Just a little longer Jack" Elsa said her voice sounded desperate "The Tooth Fairy and the other Guardians will get us out of here and you'll be ok"
"I'm...fine" I said groaning slightly and clutching my gut more. The pain from Han's kicks and various punches was starting to get to me. Breaking my staff in half didn't help either. Pain was shooting through my body like fire.
"Just a little longer" Elsa said.
"I'm coming in" Tooth said "Watch out ok?"
Before I could look up the door came crashing down with a large thud, kicking up all the black sand in the room into the air.
The sand was in my lungs and eyes as I coughed.
I looked up, seeing the sand starting to settle and saw Tooth!
She coughed a bit and waved her hand in front of her face.
"Wow! I did not expect that much sand. Sorry about that" she said.
"Hey Tooth" I said my voice cracking.
"Jack! Elsa! Oh than Manny you are ok!" Tooth said smiling and she looked around the cell, seeing us in chains.
"Oh my! I'll get you out of those" Tooth said.
"Elsa" I said. Elsa needed to be ok. If Pitch or Hans came back I needed to know Elsa was freed and could escape.
"Yes Jack?" Elsa said.
"Free Elsa first" I said.
"Jack...is that your staff?" Tooth said pointing to the broken pieces of my staff in the corner.
"I'll be fine, just save Elsa" I said. Elsa needed to be ok! She had to be! I could take whatever Pitch or Hans dealt out but Elsa had to be ok.
"Jack!" Elsa said. He needed help now, I couldn't let him do this!
"Please Elsa. I'll be fine." I said desperately "Tooth?"
Tooth nodded and flew over to Elsa, and knelled down next to her.
I closed my eyes and sighed.
Elsa was going to be ok.
She was going to make it out of this alright.
She gently touched my face and I smiled.
"You have beautiful teeth Elsa" I heard Tooth saying to Elsa.
"Thank you" Elsa said.
"Now lets see about these cuffs" Tooth said.
"My powers can't help me. Its made of a special material that just absorbs my magic" Elsa said.
"I think I could pick the lock, if only I had the tools" Tooth said.
I looked up to see Tooth had scooped up some of the black sand and started molding it in her hands.
"Sandy taught me a few tricks one time and I think the principles still apply here" Tooth said.
I then heard a cuff snap open and my heart lifted.
Tooth had done it! Elsa was going to get out of those retched cuffs.
"How did you learn to do that?" Elsa asked.
"I had to know a few tricks when I was collecting teeth." Tooth said and then the other cuff popped open.
"Thank you" Elsa said.
"Your welcome dear" Tooth said.
I closed my eyes and smiled but the pain shot through me once more and I groaned.
"Jack!" Elsa yelled, quickly moving across the cell, and then knelling next to me
I felt her soft hand carefully touch my cheek.
I turned to her and smiled.
"Elsa" I sighed, leaning into her hand. I stared into her clear blue eyes she had a mixture of happiness and worry on her face.
"Jack" she said smiling and leaning in, kissing my forehead.
"Don't worry about me Elsa. I've been through much worse. Can't really think of it know but.."I said.
Elsa chuckled slightly and caressed my face.
A sense of peace washed over me, the pain wasn't affecting me anymore. Elsa was here, she was free, thats all that mattered.
"Elsa? Jack?" Tooth said behind us.
She fluttered down next to us and held the broken remains of my staff.
"You said Pitch broke your staff before? Can you fix it again?" Tooth said.
"I can try" I said.
It had worked once before. I knew I had to try.
Tooth nodded and set the staff down she then unlocked my cuffs and tossed aside the lock picking tools.
"Help me up?" I asked and they both nodded.
Tooth and Elsa carefully lifted me up and I leaned against the wall with a groan. Moving sent another wave of pain over me that I was not expecting.
I saw Elsa, the worry on her face evident. I lifted my hand and caressed her face. I tucked a little hair behind her ear and held her cheek in my palm.
"I'll be fine once my staff is back together" I said.
Tooth then picked up the staff and I took it in my hands.
I placed the broken pieces together and concentrated. I felt a small amount of my power in my gut. I tried forcing it into my staff, making the cold join the pieces back together like the last time.
There were a couple blew sparks but nothing happened.
I sighed and tried again. That effort was almost everything i had left and nothing happened! What was different about this time? Why wasn't it working?
Now there were no sparks of magic. It wasn't working...
"Its not working...it worked last time" I said defeated and my arms dropping to my sides.
"You may not have enough energy" Tooth said.
I looked down feeling a sense of utter hopelessness.
Elsa then did something shocking.
She grabbed the broken staff out of my hands and put the pieces together.
ELSA
I put the staff together, the pieces fitting perfectly.
I let out a deep breath and concentrated on the breaking point.
I felt the swirling storm of my powers inside me move to my hands and through them into the wooden staff.
The ice was twisting along the curves of the staff and moving to the middle of the staff.
"Elsa? What are you..." Jack said.
Then a bright blue light filled the room, sparks of magic were shooting off the staff and I continued to concentrate, not letting up on the power I was putting out.
I felt the ice on both sides of the staff binding together and once I felt I had done enough I stopped.
I slowly took my hand off the top part of the staff and it held together.
Jack and Tooth looked at me with complete and utter shock.
"I...I think I fixed it" I said.
I quickly looked over the staff and saw, at the point it broke, there was something new ingrained in the wood.
I saw my snowflake, the one I always create, my signature snowflake, in Jack's staff.
I handed the staff back to Jack and he took on a whole new demeanor.
He looked invigorated an energized.
"Elsa! You...you fixed it!" Jack said, smiling wide.
"How did you know how to do it?" Tooth asked.
"I just...knew" I said shaking my head.
Jack then jumped up and twirled his staff sending waves a frost across the room.
"Its better than ever!" Jack said inspecting his staff.
His ran his fingers across the wood and stopped at the middle, where my snowflake now was.
"Your snowflake" Jack muttered.
I stood up and Jack looked up at me.
He had a crooked grin on his face that made my knees go weak. He then too me in his arms and kissed me.
I threw my arms around his neck and brought us even closer.
"Oh Elsa." Jack said when we broke apart. He held me tight and kept saying my name over and over, like a prayer almost.
"Jack" I said, burying my face in Jack's sweatshirt.
'Peppermint and freshly fallen snow' I said to myself.
I heard someone cough behind us and I remembered Tooth was still there and we jumped apart.
I was blushing from head to toe while Jack had a sly grin on his face.
"Don't act all cocky" I said, rolling my eyes.
Jack just grinned more and wrapped his arm around my waist, bringing me closer to him.
"You two are so cute together!" Tooth said clapping her hands together.
JACK
Elsa had put the pieces together. What was she trying to do? The staff couldn't be fixed...could it?
There was now ice twisting along the curves of the staff and moving to the middle.
"Elsa? What are you..." I said.
Then a bright blue light filled the room, sparks of magic were shooting off the staff and I looked away.
Soon the light dimmed and I saw Elsa slowly taking her hand off the top part of my staff and it held together.
I couldn't think I was so shocked.
"I...I think I fixed it" Elsa said.
She handed the staff back to me and I felt like a whole new person.
The energy surged through me and I felt better than I had in decades!
"Elsa! You...you fixed it!" I said, smiling wide.
"How did you know how to do it?" Tooth asked.
"I just...knew" Elsa said shaking her head.
I jumped up and twirled my staff sending waves of frost across the room.
"Its better than ever!" I said. I then started looking at the staff.
I ran my fingers across the familiar wood and stopped at the middle, a snowflake was now ingrained in the wood.
It was Elsa's.
Elsa's snowflake.
"Your snowflake" I muttered.
Elsa stood up and I looked up at Elsa.
I grinned and closed the distance between us in less than a second, taking her into my arms and kissing her.
She threw her arms around my neck and brought us even closer.
I kissed her with as much passion as I could, never wanting this moment to end.
"Oh Elsa." I said when we broke apart. I held her tight and repeated her name over and over, like a person might say a prayer.
"Jack" Elsa said, burying her face in my sweatshirt.
'Vanilla and a touch of lavender' I said to myself. That scent could make me forget my own name sometimes.
I heard a cough from behind us and I then remembered Tooth was still there in the cell with us and we jumped apart.
Elsa was blushing from hard while I just grinned. She looked so cute when she blushed.
"Don't act all cocky" Elsa said, rolling my eyes.
That just made me grin more. I wrapped my arm around her waist, bringing us closer.
"You two are so cute together!" Tooth said clapping her hands together.
Please tell me what you think!
