Chapter 25: Ultimate Battle pt.4
Sasuke could see her condition worsen badly from the deep backstab; he predicted her face she was dying with pain. He went close and held her arm, while his brother held her other arm. Itachi saw the motionless eyes, turning dark cloud green like her vision was disappearing. He greatly knew that she was very serious for protecting their bond and willing to protect him. They both felt her body slacking and cold from massive wounds and blood loss. Until they finally reached Konoha and started to land…
There were groups of anbu on top of the gate; far sides; and on the Hokages' stone heads. Also, there were many other ninjas from Sunagakure, Iwagakure, and Kumogakure to assist defending the Leaf.
Kankuro: older brother of Gaara and Temari; Sunagakure jounin; black long top and trousers with a red sash; face paint on eyes and lips; sandals; and carries puppet scrolls

There were other Konoha ninjas, who stayed behind in the village, to watch over the villagers. Parents were very anxious what was coming to the village, and children were afraid and holding on their mothers. Even though, the anbus tried their best to calm them and assure them that everything was under the Hokage's control.

They all saw the team had arrived; in spite, many were surprised when they saw Haruno Sakura was brought back to Konoha. Their concern was that she was looking very weak and sensed her chakra at its near limit. They were unsure how she did get into that state and wanted to know what happen out there.
To their shock, Gaara tensed when he saw Itachi was brought along, "What?! Uchiha Itachi is here too!" Kankuro couldn't believe it either and had a bad feeling about him. Similarily, the three kages also recognize him, grew suspicious about Itachi and don't fully trust him. What really confuse them was they see him helping Sakura and why the Hokage brought him here. It made no sense to them—what was the reason for coming here? Furthermore, the anbus draw out their katanas and kunais when they also saw him and kept their eyes on him.
The Raikage growled and clutched his big fists for seeing an Akatsuki coming along with the team.
Killerbee sang a rape about them while swinging his two hands, "Yo! The little chuunins are back and alive! But look who they brought with them, it's the Akatsuki's raven butthead! The kidnapper of Haruno Sakura! I say that we beat the rap out of him! Yay!" The kages sweat dropped from his annoying rape, so the Raikage grabbed his head to make him to shut up.
But right now it was not in a good time, they heard the explosion and it was reaching the village. The children screamed with horror and cried. Thus, they started to back away but there was nothing where they can take cover or find a safe place.
During the moment, Itachi tried communicating with her, "Sakura? Sakura?! Can you hear me?" She didn't answer nor look at him. Her green eyes were dark and dull, such as she doesn't see anything. He gently shook her, yet she didn't react. Her condition made her look like her mind was not connected to her body, and the deep wound on her back must have caused a shutdown and unresponsive to anyone.
Sasuke grabbed a hold on the wood spike and carefully started pulling it out, which she winced. Eventually, more blood was coming out, and it caused her to groan in pain and shake violently. He slowly pulled it out while she was clinging onto Itachi's shirt and grunted harshly onto Itachi's chest. Itachi embraced her gently and was hushing her while watching the wooden stake slowly coming out. As it came out, he used his hand to cover the wound and was about to call for medical help. Tsunade-sama cried out, "Everyone come help out! We need to make protective barrier! We need every ninja here right now!"
Sasuke and Itachi saw all the ninjas gathering around and using their chakra to build the barrier, but Sakura needed help. "There's no time for medical attention! Come on!" All Konoha medics were busy and assisting the Hokage. Also, Uryu and his men circled around, summoning their power to strengthen the barrier. As a result, the Uchiha brothers had no choice but decided to go help the others. So, they gently put her on her knees and told her to stay right there, taking off.
With many ninja's assistances, the barrier was built quickly. Until, the explosion arrived and started banging it. The kages stood on their ground but unsure how much longer they could hold on, but they winced, like they were having a migraine. The Quincy ninjas even were holding on their powerball; they grunted for feeling that they have been punched on the chest again. Last, all Konoha ninjas and anbus seemed drained from low chakra and in pain from the banging.

On the other hand, Sakura was staring motionless at the ground and hearing nothing but soundless thumping in her ears. Blood was spilling down on her arms. She looked at it blankly and don't recall how she started bleeding or don't know why she was bleeding. In addition, her body was in great pain and felt so cold. She slowly lifted her head up and found the villagers inside a small barrier. They all have faces with fright and screaming, and children were crying and holding onto their mothers. She had no idea what was going on; therefore, she slowly turned around and stared out. There were many ninjas sitting in places and using their chakra to hold the barrier; also the kages and her friends were also there, looking nearly defeat and hurt. Then she looked straight up and saw the explosion. GASP! She quickly remembered Uchiha Madara, battle, Konoha. She had to get up, but the wound was too painful for her to move. However, she must get up.
Meanwhile, she kept her eyes at the barrier. Suddenly, the fire bomb started to change itself. Its transformation stopped the banging which her friends sighed restfully, but they all knew that it was not over. All eyes widened when they watched the explosion turned into a shape of a human. In complete, its color turned into flaming blue and looking the exact image of Madara. It cleared its whole appearance and showed its new form. It was his Susanoo form, and he still had his Mangekyo Sharingan. It or he smirked evilly and chuckled humorously for loving the attention of all Konoha. He turned his eyes at Sakura who glared coldly at him. Everyone turned at her and was happy that she was standing, and the other four kages had no idea why Madara was having his attention to her. Madara was determined to get inside the barrier. He gave another solid punch, but it only made thump and no cracks on it. Thus, it hurt all the ninjas painfully. Instead of continuing punching, he hit the earth and crawled under the barrier, and it arrived underneath Sakura.
Gaara quickly noticed it, and he sent out sand, catching the Susanoo hand and covering it. Raikage and Killer Bee ran and held the hand so it won't close around Sakura. They told her to run away, but she ignored them and kept her glaring eyes at Madara. More screams called out to her to move away, yet she still doesn't move nor listen to them. Then, she shut her eyes for remembering the last of the meeting with her father.
Flashback:
After Sakura hugged her father (chapter 21), he turned serious again "Sakura, you must know about this." She stood and listened carefully. "When you decide to use your powers, it consist three gates to be open. The first is easy to use; then the second leads a dragon transformation with the connection of the elements inside you. However, it will weaken your body and limit your chakra." She was silent to hear that the first two. She saw fear on her father's face, and she believed that the final was not good news as she expected. He continued, "After the second, your chakra, and your body, will be at its limit." She felt her heart beating fast, but she wanted to know about the final third. "For the third, you must make a wise choice whether you should unleash it or not. It was your choice, not anyone's, yours."
Sakura started to feel afraid about her power, and she wanted to have the full detail about it, "What happens when I use it?"
"The power of the elements and the dragon will all enter you; then, you will turn into a glorious beauty of the heaven light with great power. After using it, you might not… (he shaking from crying) continue living." She gasped with shock after hearing the answer…death.
Sakura could not imagine how her parents and friends will be after she dies; although, she learned the meaning of a shinobi. A ninja has many rights and always make difficult choices, so he dies for protecting he values the most. For that, friends and families will face hardships; sometimes they may understand their sacrifice. Sacrifices were all made for many reasons. As her father said 'it is your choice', she must make the decision herself. "Otosan…I will make the right choice, I know I will." She hugged him again, and he embraced her back lovingly. He also believed in her.
Tch! She tensed for deciding to use the last power because there was no other way to defeat the enemy. She clutched her fist tightly Otosan, this is it! I made my choice…I hope everyone will understand. So, she clapped her hands then made hand signs. Suddenly underneath her, a yin-yang symbol appear and five Japanese writing around it with the elements' color. It windily exploded, making the Susanoo hand gone away and the Raikage and Killerbee were pushed away. All the jounins and villagers watch with curiosity.
Light evaporate like lava splashing out of a volcano and swarming around; then all the six animals flew out and roamed around the air. For a moment, they all charged down and entered at Sakura's back, which she grunted for feeling new pain. Shortly afterwards, a dark blue dragon came out making the yin-yang symbol disappear; it screeched roaring loudly. The villagers and ninjas awed for seeing a dragon the first time; similarly, the kages and the other shinobis (who weren't at the previous battle) couldn't believe what they were seeing from Sakura. They all felt her chakra in a higher level than theirs. The dragon speedily charged to Sakura in front, and she cried loudly. She then gasped for a quick breath.
Afterwards, another light appeared and covered her. It lifted high into the air and swirled faster looking like a bright sun star. Her transformation finished when the light swayed away. Beautiful white wings flapped open. Sakura has grown angel wings.
All the kages, the villagers, and the jounins were breath taken by Sakura's glamorous beauty. Sasuke was mostly surprised for his love's new transformation and couldn't resist her beautiful angelic appearance. In addition, Itachi never thought she would have such beauty as an angel.
In contrast, the villagers lightly blushed and asked if they were seeing heaven; the little girls' eyes sparkled for loving the angel. They all started to believe if their cherry blossom kunoichi was secretly an angel or born from heaven.
Sakura's hair had grown a bit long, flying freely along with the wind. Her outfit was different—black pants (ends inside her boots) under a pure white apron; and sleeveless, closed red shirt; and black fingerless gloves.
She slowly opened her eyes, with a stoic face, staring coldly at Madara who smirked. Then, she lifted her arms with open hands, crossing them, and pushed away the barrier. Turning into waves like water waves and splashed on all Konoha. Everyone screamed as they had covered their eyes for few minutes. Later, they looked around and saw no barrier but clear sky and colors of the buildings. They realized that they were not protected, so they couldn't understand why she removed the barrier. Before the villagers started to accuse her, she quickly pointed out her finger and fired a red lightning spike. It hit on a building wall, and it did not explode yet the spike dissolved. Next, she fired at Tsunade-sama, and it did the same thing.
After witnessing, Tsunade-sama said, "I feel no pain, which means…" She remembered when Sakura moved the barrier and it splashed on them. She realized, "we're protected! The barrier is on us, we won't get hurt!" Everyone gasped surprised then sighed in relief and liked Sakura's cleverness and quick thinking.
Madara chuckled, "You really know how to protect people; instead you should protect and think more about yourself." He advised her to not think more about others.
"Hmph, I don't take advices from people like you," she withdrew his words back to him. Her rejection reminded him that day when he advised Deidara but got turned down; how similar they are.
Madara decreased his size to normal and summoned his two weapons—gunbai and kama. The ones he fought against the First Hokage; similarly, Sakura summoned her katanas. Her sword on the right caught his eyes for recognizing its Japanese carving Honor on the blade, "Ah, that sword…" Sakura gripped on her sword tightly while glaring at him, "Hanzo left his only weapon to his precious little child." He remembered it clearly when Hanzo encountered that blade and became attached to it. The kages, except Tsunade-sama, and the other ninjas grew confused how Madara know Sakura's father, and they were very eager to know how they met.
"This blade is very special made," she shared and swung pointing it out at him. "It is left for me to kill a dead person who tormented my family." She smirked with mockery which hit his pride.
"I should have killed your father years ago!" Madara growled in admitting his long-time mistake. "He should have died along with his pathetic family clan!" The four kages and the other ninjas received their answer from Madara. To Sasuke's shock, he never thought that Hanzo had gone through the same pain and family loss from a clan massacre as he did. It was that they both have similarities of their past and family murderer.
He used Body Flicker Technique and swung his fan, but she dropped her back down to dodge, "A good thing you missed your chance and you kept him alive; until my mother saved him from you." Then he flew toward her and spun around his weapons; thus she kept a sharp eye at his movements. She skillfully blocked his attacks and clashed at his kama. He swung his fan, yet she managed to fly back and kicked him hard at the chest. That sent him a little far, so she went straight at him with her swords crossed upwards. He quickly swung his kama to slice her, but she hit it and let go of her swords. She let them dance around in air and grabbed them back, and then she finger-swung and struck him.
He stopped himself from going any further and went back to her. He used his fan to hit her; instead of getting her, he saw her swords slice cut in speed. He watched at his fan fell into small pieces. "Now you are defenseless with that thing," she vanish her katanas. "Let's make this a battle with our taijutsu and ninjutsu." He was impressed with her smart words for a real challenge, so he accepted it after vanishing his kama. Then, they landed on ground as her wings faded away.
At once, they both performed fire jutsu and blew huge fireball and clashed strongly, and then they rapidly ran forward and started fighting with fists and kicks. Sakura used her right leg to hit him above but hit the ground instead, so she spun on the ground then kicks him on the face; at last, she kicked him hard at the chin. After those face kicks, Madara angrily punched her away and quickly does Amaterasu. The black flames were coming at her, and she activated a jutsu in her eyes and turned black Dark Flame Jutsu. Both black fires clashed in strong force; in fact, the eye jutsu hurt their eyes so they stopped. Madara's pain ended first before Sakura's who covered her eyes, groaning with strong ache in the eyes.
Itachi realized the bad news on Sakura; it was similar to his first time for using that jutsu. That gave Madara a chance, he ran at her with his Susanoo flaming sword; everyone was about to warn her, she avoided the sword attack and leaped over him, and shocked him with electricity on his head. He then dropped on ground, so she used earth jutsu, "Murderers don't deserve mercy!" Two snake heads came out and hit Madara up in the air, and she fisted at her palm to make the snake heads to smash Madara at the center. The snake heads disappeared, but Madara did not appear; as a result, he must have used substitution jutsu without anyone notices. So, Sakura closed her eyes to sense around the area; a minute later, she opened her eyes and jumped up as a long blue flaming spear strike on her spot, good thing she dodged it. She turned around and saw him a meter away from her.
He threw a blue flaming fuma shuriken as she also threw the same weapon with her element powers. It collided making loud vibration, which was loud to all eardrums, and boomed away. After the collision, she flew appearing behind and punched him at the back, and then he crashed on the ground. She dropped herself and ran to attack Tokkan! (Lightning Attack); however, he expanded a big Susanoo arm and grabbed her hand. Then, he started cracking her wrist which was hurting her. He started kicking her on the stomach; last he punched her on the cheek, sending her away. She rolled away, yet she back flipped to stand.
"You really know how to put up a fight, better than your mother and father." He pulled out Kusari (chains), "Hmph, let's see how you dodge this." So fast, he swung those chains at her, yet she had strong eyes to maintain focus at those chains and easily dodged every swings. She jumped high and twirled around as the chains crashed the ground, cement walls, and rocks. When he swung to the right, she easily avoided it, but he smirked and let go straight to Sasuke.
Sasuke noticed it coming toward him and was about to pull out his katana. Until just in time, Sakura grabbed it (they both made a quick eye contact) and spun around making it tied around her waist. Madara still got a hold of it, impressed with her speed and saved her love; then they both electric charge on the chain going forward. As it got to the center, it clashed and zap-opened the chain. Sakura received strong hit on the waist and nearly fell back; before anyone noticed, Madara quickly summoned a Susanoo spear and threw it at her. The spear got her and impaled her through the side, which caused her to scream in agonizing pain, and everyone froze when they saw her got stabbed. She managed to pull out the flaming spear and it died away; she held on the wound yet started bleeding heavily. Groaning and panting heavily, she quickly started healing herself and glared at him who chuckled with a smirk.

Suddenly, he appeared behind her, which she tensed, and punched at her head. She flew forward and crushed her back at the gate wall, and dropped on ground. Before she moved, he grabbed her hair and pulled her banging her at the wall again and tossed her the ground hard. She groaned as he appeared standing above her and punched her stomach hard, so she coughed out blood. Everyone was sacredly frozen for watching her getting hurt, and Sasuke and Itachi were shaking with fury for seeing a dreadful scene in their eyes. Many friends wanted to run in to save her, but they can't go in for her life.
Back to the fight, Madara grabbed her neck, lifting her up so that her feet aren't touching the ground, which he was choking her. She grunted while holding on his arm, yet she couldn't find her breath. "So weak…so vulnerable…" he muttered insults at her. She barely opened her eyes to glare at him. He chuckled and threw her back to the wall which she hit her back and head and fell down in pain. She was breathing heavenly and lifted her hand up to create Tokkan. However, he speedily grabbed her wrist and tugged her shirt up, and he hit her back more. She coughed hard, panting and blood oozing from her lips. He smirked at her weak state, "You are just like your mother and father…so weak but willing die to protect those you love."
Letting go of her shirt, he placed his hand up facing her body, "Now the element powers are mine!" He began absorbing which she screamed feeling brutally hurt and dying. He chuckled for the loving the feeling of his chakra growing stronger, and the elements made him feel more human.
She grunted hopelessly and her vision was turning blurry. She felt her soul extracting from her body and her life was rapidly going away. Blackness appeared on her eyes and no sound was heard, but her mind was still on. She saw images of her parents; teachers; teammates; friends; Itachi; and Sasuke.
Sasuke-kun! At that moment, the face of her beloved restored her senses I can't die like this! I can't leave Sasuke-kun…He needs me and I need him! She slowly clutched her fist to fight back I won't die this way! So, she strongly connected herself with her powers and clutched her fist, regaining her strength. With it, she stabbed Madara with dark-light flaming blade through the chest while he was still doing the absorption. He winced, and everything turned black and white. It cracked like glass and shattered into millions of pieces.
They returned back to originality where she was stabbed and he was flowing in place. He gripped on his right eye, gasping with shock. Another, she was shaking fiercely and dropped on knees, coughing violently and gasping sharply. Everyone was confused with what just happened and why they both were in pain, while they were just standing there for a few minutes.
Madara, still cringing, groaned, "You broke free from my Tsukuyomi?" Sasuke and Itachi were stunned that Madara had used Tsukuyomi on Sakura and she successfully broke free from it. It was similar when Itachi used the jutsu on Sasuke, and he broke through. They were amazed that she was able to fight through and survive, but they were unsure what Madara made her see.

After she finished recovering, she stood back up and smirked at him. He glared that she underestimated his most powerful jutsu, so he summoned ten clones with complete Susanoo. From those clones, she calmly said, "Hmph, I just love getting warm up."
All the clones went to attack her, but she jumped up from the attack and flew high up, and then she dropped down multiple small balls Raining Fire Explosion. All ten clones got hit by those little explosions; Itachi smirked for recognizing that jutsu, it was similar to Deidara's Explosive Clay, which Deidara must have trained that with her. After hitting them, she let herself drop and vertically twirled around to throw her pair of sai at two clones. Two got hit on the heads and puffed away; four ran at her sideways. So, she pulled her kama out and pushed all four away after slicing them. Without noticing, two grabbed her arms, yet she quickly crashed down and punched their chest with her iron fists. Then, another ran behind her but she jumped upward with a bao staff then hard poked it behind and banged it on its head. Finally, the last clone ran at her, so she defeated it by throwing her bao, which turned into a black guandao with silver in front, and nailed its head to the cement wall. The villagers and ninjas, also the kages, all were impressed how she managed to defeat all those clones without any trouble.
Madara growled viciously that all his indestructible Susanoo clones got defeated, so he used Multiple Wood Release Clone Technique and hundreds of Madara clones came out of the ground. Some ran and some jumped above her; she used her eyes to look around and then closed them to focus. They all were getting close and prepared to attack; suddenly fire surrounded her body and expanded it out, "Fire is your favorite speciality!" It turned into a falcon, and "Burn away!" she threw her hands out as the falcon flapped its wings open and sent out fire burning the clones. Sasuke and Itachi had never seen that fire jutsu so strong, and looked and moved like Susanoo. All the clones burned in ashes and smoldered away; not one was the real Madara, but she easily sensed him coming above her.
He fuelled Susanoo flame chakra into his arm; also she poured her element powers into her hand (almost like Rasengan) and flew forward. As they got close, they both clashed their fists and started electrifying; they hold on but felt strong burn on their hand. A minute later, the clash exploded and the opponents were pushed back.
So fast, she flew up as she did hand signs and blew a number of fire falcons. With great speed, Madara flew up and went toward her. Also, he threw shurikens at the fire falcons which made them to get hit and gone. As he reached to her, she moved away and blew cold water behind him (water and wind together). He escaped from the water and was about to go to her again, but he got caught by earth snakes on the leg, the waist, and the arm. She flew straight at him with dark and light lightning on her fists and punched him hard.
Although he was not hurt but felt strong pressure hitting him, it was weakening his chakra. So, he used his free leg and kicked her on the face. Then, he broke free from the snakes and hardly face punched and kicked her on the stomach. She crashed onto the ground and made dirt smoke; in a second, he went straight down with his sword.
Itachi wanted to summon his Susanoo to block him. Before doing so, her wings rose up and shielded her. He hit the wings and got pushed up, so she jumped and gave a hard kick on his chest, crushing him to a rock wall. He snarled angrily for being crashed more like a weak idiot and has enough with her kicks; thus he popped out and blew Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction. She flew at the fireball and blew panther-shaped water Water Style: Water Panther Jutsu. The panther roared while running and hit the fireball away.

After a long fighting, both fighters stopped feeling tired than ever; however, they still have a bit of energy left to fight more. Sakura summoned her father's katana. Similarly, Madara summoned his own, flaring with Susanoo flames. "Your skills never fail to amuse me," he commented with a smirk "but this is the last and final attack for you."
Everyone's heart skipped a beat with shock for hearing the final attack was coming.
"Agreed, this is the last for the both of us." Sakura corrected. Then, she started pouring her element powers into her sword, flaring with white flames. "We both have our lives on the line, so this final attack will make one of us lucky," she said with a fearless, strongly determined voice. As a result, she was not afraid of death.
The Konoha ninjas were getting scared of losing their kunoichi, and the villagers were on the urge of crying tears for hearing their new heroine will either survive or die. However, the kages and Team 7 leaders also don't want her to die, but they understood that she has decided to sacrifice herself for Konoha's sake.
Most of all, Sasuke was in the state of his worst fear—Sakura was willing to give her life away. He couldn't imagine himself living his life alone without her; she was the only girl in his heart and he really doesn't want her to die. In comparison, Itachi developed a great numbness in his body with sadness about his sister, yet he knew that she has made her choice and it was very hard for him to accept it.
