ALSO THEY KILLED OFF MY FAVORITE VILLAIN?! WHO ELSE IS MAD?

Life is a highway chapter 25:

About 2 minutes later, Regina, Emma and Henry all skipped out happily from the ride.

"I don't know how that worked but I'm very glad I took the chance." Said Regina to Henry.

Emma lingered, waiting for Killian to slowly trail his way out of the ride. Looking rather nauseous.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm sort of okay, a bit queasy but otherwise I enjoyed holding your hand through that thoroughly."

"Aren't you a pirate? Don't you handle rough seas all the time?"

"Stop using my being a pirate as some sort of ability to take anything love."

"Just saying,"

"Maybe a kiss could help."

Killian went in for a kiss and Emma receded.

"Henry's waiting c'mon."

She turned around and jogged away as fast as she could. Killian sighed and followed behind.

After sitting a few more rides like the Hollywood Riptide Rocket (which Regina gladly bought a video of four of them yelling their lungs out), The Incredible Hulk Coaster, The Amazing Adventures of Spider Man and Doctor Doom's free fall, Henry dragged them Jurassic Park where he wanted to get on the water ride.

For some reason, the four of them managed to get the front seat. Making Regina more apprehensive which was directly proportional to Henry's excitement.

"In the front we get to see all the the best things!"

"Uh huh..." Replied Regina.

Emma was swinging her legs under her seat, thanking herself for her decision to wear a tank top and shorts making it easier to dry herself.

Killian noticed that the ride was on water and asked, "Swan what is this?"

"It's a water ride," Emma replied.

"Are we going to be wet?"

"Drenched, from the looks of where we are sitting."

Before Killian could protest, the safety bar came down and the ride started moving.

"Bloody hell," Killian muttered.

About 4 minutes later, the four of them walked out of the ride, drenched as if they've just gotten out of a shower.

They went into drying pods to dry themselves off and collectively decided that it was lunch time.

So they headed of to Leaky Cauldron at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter which Killian appreciated and got some standard British food. Henry insisting on butter beer and Killian feeling disappointed when he learned it wasn't real beer.

The four of them were walking around at Diagon Alley at the Wizarding world of Harry Potter when Henry ran into Olivanders.

Henry was mesmerized by the many types of wands on display and the showcase of the Wand picking ceremony.

Regina was equally fascinated with the wands and the various witch craft items on display.

"Y'know it's not real right?" Whispered Emma.

"Yes but, they've done a remarkably impressive job. Some of these wands are shaped similar to the ones that I've seen in the enchanted forest."

"Never liked the damn things," said Killian as he put a stick down.

Henry came running to them with a wand in hand.

"Mom! This wand chose me! I definitely have to get it! Please?"

Henry gave his best puppy dog face and Regina had no choice but to oblige. Before Emma could insist on paying, Killian stopped her.

"Let the woman indulge her son, besides, if you two bicker again, I'm going to have to pay for a piece of wood that probably does absolutely nothing."

Henry was raving about the type of wood the wand was in the queue and Regina stood there beaming at him the whole time.

Emma laughed and put her wallet back. She did however, buy Henry a nice casing to put his wand in.

When Henry was busy eating a chocolate frog, Regina took the wand and enchanted it with a bit of her magic. Not too much to the extent that it could be dangerous.

She slot the wand back in his backpack. Emma noticed it and laughed.

Killian insisted on not going on another ride. Which left Regina and Henry to go on the Escape from Gringotts while Emma and Killian walked around.

As Regina and Henry were queuing up for the ride. Regina decided to ask Henry about Emma's behavior around Killian.

"Hey Henry, what's up between Emma and Killian?"

"What's up with them?"

"Emma's been acting, skittish or appears to be not fully trusting with Killian."

"Yeah, I've kinda noticed. I'm not sure what's up with that though."

"Was she like that in Storybrooke?"

"Yeah, for the first week she completely avoided him. Then he kept going for her and she eventually couldn't help her feelings I guess."

Regina was astonished at how mature her little prince had become.

From a young boy who shunned her and learned to be emotionless. To a man who could understand the profundity and complexity of emotions and learning to embrace her for who she is again.

She was incredibly proud of Henry and couldn't help but give him a hug. Realizing that he was already almost taller than her. He had grown so much, and nothing else in the world made her happy other than to be part of his growth.

"Mom why're you hugging me?"

"I just realized how much you've grown. I'm so proud of you, Henry. I've never been a great mother."

Henry embraced her tighter. "You've been the best mom anyone could ask for. The times when I fell while learning to cycle and you didn't heal my cuts because you wanted to teach me to get up again. The times when I had fevers and you slept on the floor in my room to make sure I was okay. When you helped with my math homework and my book reports. Emma might be my birth mom, but you're the one who raised me. Thank you so much mom."

Regina felt tears welling up in her eyes, all she wanted in life was to be an adequate mom to Henry, she never though she did, but what he said affirmed her in the warmest way possible.

Mwahs, mwahs and mwahs.
