-Did you know this was originally a one-shot? It got so many good reviews, and everyone wanted to see more of Trevor and James' friendship that it evolved into this story. So really, this story would not exist without you guys.

-For a while, I've debated whether to kill off James' dad or not. I wasn't going to when I wrote Chapter 3, but by the showdown, I was considering killing him off - but nope.

-Though I don't give much description of what the characters look like, they do have specific appearances:

~Trevor King is kind of skinny and has brown hair and gray-blue eyes.

~Kevin Brown is scrawnier and taller than Trevor and has lighter brown/kinda dirty blonde hair and brown eyes.

~Jenna Brown looks much like her brother, but with longer and curlier hair.

~Lily Fitzgerald has honey curls and bluish eyes.

~Karie Fiztgerald looks like her sister, but a bit taller.

~Charlie Knight has dark brown hair and brown eyes, and is about average size and height.

~Peter and Ricky Anderson both have messy brown hair and are on the skinnier side; and Peter's tallish for his age, and Ricky is on the shorter side for his age. They both have clear blue eyes.

~Tommy Miller is more broad-shouldered, and also with brown hair, though his is darker. Has darker green eyes.

~James Nightfall Slenderman has his signature dark suit and red tie.

~Victor Midnight Slayerman has a knee-length black jacket, blood red shirt, and black jeans and Converse.

~Margareta Willows wears a gray jacket in Chapter 3, but doesn't get it back until the end; so for most of the story, she wears a white collared shirt, gray pants, and shoes.

~Harry Splendorman wears his signature black suit with colorful polka dots, a matching top hat, and black gloves.

~The Black Circle cult members wear a costume similar to Masky: black hoodie, dark pants, and a white mask with black-outlined eyes and mouth.

~The serial killer has blood-red contacts that make his eyes look super creepy, and basically black clothes. Oh, and a black cape, giving him a Grim Reaper-type look. *shudder*

-Another fun fact: all the Slender clan powers are based off of the mythos, except for the Slayerman clan powers. Those are courtesy of Dust the Hedgehog.

-James and Margareta are like Jack and Sally from "The Nightmare Before Christmas," kinda. The Skellingtons inspired the romantic plot-line, but the names "James" and "Margareta" come from the TV show "Once Upon a Time."

-In Chapter 20, I had a few ways that the chapter could go: James' dad joined Trevor in going into the mine, where he would've been injured by the killer; James' dad could've been killed saving Trevor; Trevor could've waited until everyone was back in the forest before going inside to find James, Margareta, and Ricky; and then the way that made it into the final edit. Plus, I was still debating whether or not to kill off James' dad in the story at all.

-There wasn't going to be a serial killer originally, but someone asked in comments why a person would give an explosive to a kid in a park. I thought, "Maybe he was a serial killer," then I thought of the Black Circle leader, I combined the two, and that's how the murderous bozo came to be.

-This fanfic was only supposed to explore Trevor and James' friendship (most likely through one-shots), but ended up as a battle between good and evil with Slenders and humans in between.

-No secret: I enjoyed all of Trevor's sarcastic comments. :) They were so much fun to write! Especially the Monty Python part.

-James' mom does not appear at all, though his dad says that she was killed by humans.

-I got the idea for this story from 1) I was getting tired of everyone trying to outdo each other in scary "I've seen Slender Man" stories and making him a vicious, heartless, bloodthirsty, mass killer, and 2) a video on YouTube of someone actually finding all eight pages in the original game - before turning around and seeing Slender Man and losing the game. That's how I got that Slender Man can't catch you unless you look at him, and that he could be a misunderstood spooky guy.

-Margareta's giving her jacket for James to return to her when they both meet up again, comes from the first Kingdom Hearts game: Kairi gives Sora a shell charm and tells him to bring it back to her.

-The line in Chapter 3 - "Let us go, you bald creep!" - is based off of a line from HISHE: Slender Games, when someone says, "Where are you, you bald creep?"

I will definitely miss you guys, but I will write a series of one-shots set in this universe. I'll write the stories when I get around to it, as I still have other projects I'd like to work on and a busy schedule. Stay tuned! :)
