The Storm Dragon Slayer

Chapter 25

The True Power of a Raging Storm.

Demor charged forward at Malrunwa, both combatants' bodies completely surrounded by lightning as the two clashed, causing shockwaves to ripple to and fro every second from each impact. This extreme flurry of attacks was soon over, and Demor flew backwards with Malrunwa standing on his chest, her hands grabbing his wings.

His wings started to glow as he undid the spell, at the same time, Malrunwa began to pull hard on them. Demor let out an agonizing scream as he could feel the muscles tearing. He then opened his eyes when the wings were gone and the female let out a frustrated growl.

Demor then grabbed onto her legs and turned around quickly, just in time to slam her against a tree and save himself from being a smudge on the side of a tree. Malrunwa, however, only shrieked in pain and brought her hands up, clasped together firmly before bringing them down on Demor's upper back, causing him to let go and fall to the ground.

Demor landed on his hands and feet, but before he could look up and retaliate, Malrunwa slammed into him again, slamming one foot on his back and one on the back of his head, smashing his body into the ground as he let out an agonizing scream that was muffled by the dirt.

"What's the matter, Dragon Slayer? Weren't you going to show me why the Drakon are extinct?" Malrunwa removed her foot from the back of Demor's head and put it on his back before crouching down. While she did this, Demor managed to lift his head up and take a deep breath before turning his head to glare at the female.

"I guess the Dragons are disappointments after-all." She said. With that, she hopped off of Demor's back and grabbed his tail, letting out a ferocious yell as she picked up Demor and slammed him onto his back, and then back onto his face, and then flung him into a tree.

After he hit the Tree, Demor landed on his feet before collapsing to his knees, coughing out blood onto the ground. He wiped his face and got to his feet. "Flash Wing!" He roared, lightning sparking around his arms as he launched wave after wave of lightning at Malrunwa. All of them were dodged and laughed at.

"Heavenward Halberd!" Demor finished his combo with another bolt of lightning straight towards her torso. This one caught her in mid-dodge, hitting her right in the stomach and consequently making the rest of the Flash Wings hit her as well since he Halberd was faster than the waves produced by the Flash Wing.

Letting out a pained growl, Malrunwa got back up and vanished from view, appearing in front of Demor, whose Draconian eyes narrowed as he smacked her punch away from his face and countered with an uppercut to her stomach, in the same place the Heavenward Halberd hit her. This caused her to gasp and give Demor another opportunity to strike. So then he unleashed a flurry of uppercuts to her gut and a few hooks to her kidneys. By the time he was done, he launched a kick that landed square in the middle of her chest and sent her backwards onto the ground.

Demor let out another ferocious roar, his tail coiling around her legs before she hit the ground and holding her up in front of him. He took a deep breath. "Lightning Dragon's Roar!" He screamed. With that he unleashed a brilliant beam of purple light that had traces of yellow in it.

"Drakon scales!" Malrunwa yelled, bringing her arms to a cross in front of her body just before the beam hit her. This absorbed most of the damage, but she was still sent backwards, landing in the dust.

When she looked over to Demor, all she saw was his silhouette, and his the glow of his dark green Draconian eyes staring at her. She let out a hiss before coughing; tasting her own blood from the kidney punches Demor had dealt her. She let out an absolutely livid growl and getting up, charging towards Demor again.

This time it was Demor who launched himself at full speed, disappearing and reappearing at her side, throwing a kick to her legs. Malrunwa hopped over his kick and spun in the air, aiming a kick to his head. Demor's tail instead met her leg and coiled around it, dragging her to the ground hard while Demor brought his leg up to smash her knee with a Teravolt Claw.

Her eyes widened and she saw his leg. She started to roll out of the way, but Demor's downward force was too fast for her, and his foot clipped her leg, causing her to still cry out in immense pain as she rolled onto her back again, sitting up and clenching her leg.

"What happened to all your power, Drakon Slayer?" Demor growled, bending down and grabbing her by the neck with his clawed hand, lifting her up. "Were you not going to make me your slave? Were you not going to kill me easily?" he asked. "Answer me you impudent bitch!" he growled, throwing her against a tree and walking towards her.

She let out a cry of pain before opening her eyes, fear started to creep into her emotions. "T-this….No. This isn't the boy I've watched for years." She said. "This isn't a fairy tail wizard!" she yelled, getting up and throwing a wild punch with her right hand. Demor grabbed her wrist with his left hand and brought it down before using his right hand to backhand her across the face.

"That's the funny thing about Fairy Tail; when someone threatens our family and friends, we tend to get a little out of control." Demor said, smacking Malrunwa again before bringing his knee to his chest and kicking her in the stomach, sending her to the ground again.

"I'm no exception to that. In fact, you could say I go a little overboard when it comes to protecting Aurix." He said as he walked towards her. At this moment, Malrunwa realized his body was about to run out of Magic energy, and his body itself looked increasingly weak from the stress.

Another ferocious scream escaped Malrunwa's lips as her lightning surrounded her body. She brought her hands up and the air and started to condense around her, as did the water vapor and sweat on her body. "Shut up you bastard!" She screamed, launching all three elements at Demor at once.

Demor smirked and opened his mouth. First came the lightning, which he ate immediately, then came the air, and finally the water. All of them came at him with blinding speeds, and he ate all three of them at once. He then began to chuckle. "You fool…." He said, clapping his hands together.

Malrunwa's eyes widened. 'Shit! I forgot he could use Storm Magic!' she thought. He eyes widened again. 'Does this mean…he'll use the Grand Devastator?' her thoughts raced through her head at a million miles a second as her fear overwhelmed her now.

"Thank you for that meal…I've been meaning to try something new for quite some time, but have never had anything to practice on." Demor said. His fingers locked his hands together as he breathed into his hands, purple mist coming from his mouth.

With a delighted growl he opened his hands together, revealing a ball of pure purple Storm energy. "With the almighty powers given to me by the great heavens and by the beast of Storms himself, I use this power to defeat my enemies." Demor chanted, opening his eyes and staring straight at Malrunwa.

He clapped his hands together again, and purple rays of light started to beam from the gaps in his fingers as he brought his hands to his chest. "Storm Dragon's Typhoon Gaze!" He cried out at the top of his lungs.

Demor launched his hands forward, opening them with the palms facing Malrunwa. The ball of purple Storm energy burst forward in the form of an enormous beam of Storm Magic that scorched the earth and trees around the two Drachini as it moved forward.

A terrified scream was all Demor heard of Malrunwa before it hit her. After about five seconds of a sustained beam, Demor closed his hands and the attack halted. Malrunwa lay on the ground where she had been before Demor had launched the Typhoon Gaze, and she wasn't moving at all.

Demor let out a deep breath and stood straight up, walking over to her body and glaring at her for a few seconds before he turned around and started to walk towards Base Camp again.
