"So...pizza, right? Really tasty."
Daisya was not one to start conversations. His stupid comments only caused more problems. Kanda glared at him, Lavi agreed and faced Kanda's glare as well, Allen stayed silent, and Lenalee laughed nervously. This really wasn't helping. He had to find out some way to make them all start getting along again. Lenalee began to wonder if she should bring up the relationships in the band. She really wanted to start to know Allen again and she was pretty sure that Daisya and Allen have only said five words to each other since their meeting. There was also the 'No Relationships' rule sitting like a giant pink elephant in the van. She wondered how Allen was going to survive tomorrow morning taking a small ride with Kanda to Cloud Nine. It seemed like Kanda would murder him if they were alone. Allen chewed the cheese slowly. There was a lot of it and it was extremely greasy, and really good, but...he just...wasn't hungry.
That wasn't normal.
He just felt terrible for no reason. He wasn't sure whether it was regretting the kiss with Kanda, or Lavi's words of 'kiss anyone you want' because it sounded like he didn't care what Allen did. His stomach was churning sickly and he honestly just wanted to puke at the moment. Everyone else was on their second or third piece of pizza and he wasn't even half finished with his first slice. Maybe he was sick...he didn't want to voice that he wasn't hungry because usually when he did that, someone would notice something was wrong. Luckily, his phone interrupted his next bite and he gladly put the slice down to answer his phone.
It was Fou.
Fou never called.
"I'll be right back." He said and awkwardly shuffled out of the van, limping on his leg over behind a nearby tree. "Hello?" He answered and Fou started talking so quickly he didn't understand a word she was saying. "Slow down, Fou! What's going on?"
"...I was talking to Bak just a few minutes ago and we were starting to talk about you a little and then he mentioned something and now we're both freaking the hell out because holy fuck, are you okay?" Allen deadpanned at the blunt question.
"I'm fine, Fou, why?" She was silent for a couple of seconds.
"Are you sure you're okay. You can tell me anything, you know..."
"Yes, I'm fine, now tell me what's wrong."
"Your medication."
"What about it?" Allen asked a bit bitterly.
"You aren't taking the right kind!"
"What?!" Allen asked loudly and heard a loud crash behind him. He spun on his heel to see that Lavi tripped over a trashcan and narrowed his eyes.
"Heh, hi...I was just...tripping..." He mumbled.
"Were you trying to eavesdrop on me?" Allen asked accusingly.
"What?" Fou asked over the phone.
"Not you, Fou." Allen mumbled.
"No! Not at all-wait, Fou? Doesn't she work at the hospital with Bak?" Lavi asked suspiciously. "...Allen...is something wrong?" He asked warily.
"I don't know. So what do you mean, Fou?"
"I meant that Bak gave you the wrong medicine!"
"What?! What in the hell am I taking, is he trying to poison me?!"
"No! It's some pain medication!"
"...you've got to be kidding me..."
"So...you're okay?"
"I...yes, I'm fine...oh my god. I'm fine!" He cheered and hugged the closest thing to him with happiness.
Which happened to be Lavi.
The redhead suddenly blushed at the action, definitely not expecting that. They just had a fight about all this romantic business and now Allen was hugging him? And what did he mean by he was fine? Was he not fine before? "Uh, Allen? You still there?" Lavi heard Fou's voice over the phone since Allen's arms were wrapped around his neck. He quickly pulled back and held the phone to his ear.
"Oops, sorry." He apologized.
"Yep. So...Bak wants to talk to you about this tomorrow morning..."
"Tomorrow morning? Oooh, I can't do that, I've got to play somewhere tomorrow..."
"No shit? That's cool, how long are you staying?"
"Well, after Lavi and the others get out of school, I have practice and then we start playing again so...I'm not sure."
"Allen, this is pretty important. You might be fine, but there might be a side effect if you don't get this checked out soon..."
"Are you saying that I'm not fine...?" Allen asked and Fou freaked the hell out.
"NO! God, no, Allen! Jesus Christ, you're feeling better, I don't want to be the one sending you back to your anxiety fits! I just...want to make sure-the both of us do-that you're really okay."
"But I really don't have any time available tomorrow..." The younger mumbled.
"Maybe tonight some time?"
"I'm kinda hanging out right now..."
"Allen, this is really important."
"I know, I know..." It was like Allen's mood shot down like a rocket. "But I really don't have any time, nor a ride to-"
"Then I'll have Bak run over there sometime."
"But I'm just too-"
"Call me tomorrow."
"Fou! I can't-"
"See ya later, sprout!'
"MY NAME IS ALLEN!" Allen shouted through the phone, frustrated with the short girl. Lavi snorted and patted Allen's shoulder.
"There, there, sprout, it's okay. So what's u-"
"MY NAME IS ALLEN!" He shouted at the redhead before storming off. Said redhead blinked slowly.
"Okaaaaay..." He said slowly and followed after the younger Brit. He slammed the door behind him and huffed, not exactly sure why Fou wouldn't listen to him. He knew it was important, but that was no reason she should not listen to him. Besides, this should be a good thing right? It's just medicine, hell, taking medicine should have side effects, not not taking it...right?
"So." Daisya attempted making a conversation and gave up trying when everyone in the van gave him a look that said 'just stop trying, dude.'
"What did Fou want to talk about? First you were all happy and then you wanted to murder me." Lavi said, grinning a bit.
"None of your business." Allen grumbled, shoving his half eaten pizza down his throat. He didn't feel like eating anything after that. If anyone asked him about it, he'll say that he only ate one piece because he was just feelings snackish, not starving like he usually was. He was actually feeling rather tired even if it was only seven o'clock and laid against Lenalee's seat as Kanda drove back to Lavi's house. He stopped at the traffic light that turned red (honestly they were surprised he didn't run it) and looked back at the three boys in the back.
"So, where are we going?"
"Well, I've got to be home before eight." Lenalee informed. "So, I suggest my house first." Kanda nodded and looked back, waiting for the light to turn green. It'd been about half a minute, and Kanda's patience was already growing thin.
"How about we go to your place? It's been awhile since I've been there!" Lavi declared.
"Yeah, okay, but what about the passed out little shit in the back?" Kanda retorted bluntly. Lenalee had a feeling that whatever went down between Kanda and Allen earlier-what she hadn't seen-had put a little pit in their relationship together. She did know that whatever it was, it was about Lavi. It was quite obvious. Maybe...were they arguing about how they both loved him? Or something like that? She really wished she stayed longer now.
"He could sleep over."
"Fuck no." Kanda hissed. Lavi blinked and tilted his head.
"Why not? You let me stay over all the time."
"Oh? Does he now?" Daisya asked, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
"Fuck off." Kanda hissed. "He's a persistent shit."
"True, true." Daisya agreed, receiving a glare from the redhead.
"Still, there shouldn't be any reason Allen's not allowed over..." Lavi mumbled.
"There's not enough fucking room." Kanda hissed.
"Bullshit!" Lavi shouted, making Kanda swerve a bit. "You have, like, a triple king sized bed! How the fuck did you even get that thing? Those things are like thousands of dollars!" He declared.
"It was a fucking gift, I told you this a thousand times." Kanda growled.
"Yeah, our dad's rich, remember?" Daisya offered.
"Oh right..." Lavi mumbled. "Still! There's plenty of room! C'mon, it won't be that bad!"
"This is fucking terrible." Kanda hissed as he carried Allen on his back. Lavi had somehow gotten himself drunk on the way there-he didn't remember putting alcohol in the back, but he had a feeling that a giggly Daisy had something to do with it. He was so pissed at the brunet, he drove the asshole back home, no matter how many times the troublemaker declared that he didn't do it, Kanda didn't believe him.
"Hahah, awe, you two are soooo cute..." Lavi sung drunkenly.
Kanda nearly dropped Allen right then and there.
"Shut the fuck up and open the door." Kanda hissed and Lavi ran towards the front door, yanking the screen open and barging in like an uncultured swine. What a fucking annoying prick, getting drunk without me, I'll fucking kill him. I swear if any of the shit he drank was mine I'll kick his ass. The eldest thought bitterly and kicked the door shut viciously, dropping the boy on the bed quickly. Allen mumbled and snuggled up to Kanda's pillow, hugging it tightly.
"God, 'm tired..." Lavi muttered and face planted the pillow next to Allen.
Kanda grumbled at their clothing-which was too much in his opinion. He'd never be able to just sleep with his jeans on. It was so damn uncomfortable. He took his pants off and Lavi grinned, watching him as he walked across the room and pulled some sweats on, untying his hair. He came back over and fell onto the bed, grumbling as he pulled the covers over the three of them. Lavi did have a point when he said that he had a huge fucking bed. He couldn't even tell that Allen was in his bed. He sighed and closed his eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep. It always took him about five minutes before he fell asleep. It was like he always just faded into unconsciousness. Just as he was on the edge of sleep, he heard a small whimper and froze, slowly looking over his shoulder.
"Um...Yuu...that wasn't...you, was it?" Lavi asked slowly.
"I don't fucking cry, dipshit." Kanda snapped. The two of them paused before sitting straight up and turning to Allen, who had curled into a ball. His expression was full of pain and misery.
"Is he having a nightmare or what?" Lavi slurred, looking over the younger's shoulder.
"Who fucking knows, hey, sprout wake the fuck up-" The two of them stiffened when Allen pulled away quickly...like a flinch. He was...scared? Did he really think someone-one of them-would hurt him? Even in his sleep? This seemed to indicate that he'd been treated badly before.
"Allen?" Lavi mumbled, touching his side. The younger cried out and lashed at him. "Fuck, ow..." Lavi mumbled, holding his hand. Kanda narrowed his eyes and touched his shoulder. He didn't get a very good response. Sooner than later, Kanda found himself wrestling with Allen, trying to wake him up. He pinned his wrists, trying to ignore the pain that flooded through his abdomen as Allen kneed him in the gut.
"Stop...stop it...stop, please, stop!" Allen cried. Lavi sobered up a lot quickly than he wanted to, seeing the tears fall from Allen's eyes. He hadn't seen Allen cry for a long time...it was a bit different...
"Allen! Allen! It's okay!" Lavi shouted, petting his hair. Allen just threw his head back and forth.
"Please...no more..." He whined. Kanda and Lavi's eyes widened at that. No more? What the hell did no more mean? No more what? No more fucking what? Kanda felt murderous and shook the boys shoulders.
"WAKE THE FUCK UP!" He yelled and Allen's eyes flew open, his struggling ceasing. He blinked a few times and Kanda let go of his wrists.
"What..." He said slowly, wiping the tears from his eyes. That dream...he'd never dreamed of that incident...never. He was too horrified to. But why now? Was it the side effect that Fou had spoken about? He shuddered and wiped his eyes some more, sniffling.
"You better fucking explain what the fuck just happened." Kanda growled.
"I...had a...bad dream...?" Allen offered slowly.
"No. More. What?" Kanda hissed and Allen's eyes widened in horror. Had he...spoken aloud? Fear shone in Allen's eyes and he looked away.
"...it's...nothing..." He said weakly.
"It's fucking something." He growled and Allen swallowed nervously. He would never tell anyone what happened that night. The only person who knew was Narain since he was actually there when it happened. After a few students found out he was gay, he started getting bullied and a few guys took it way too far when he had to be hospitalized...it was the reason he never wanted to go to a public school ever again.
"Please just...leave it be..." Allen whispered. Kanda would never leave it be, but he would leave Allen be about it...for now. He growled and got off of him, pulling the covers over his shoulders. All was silent and Lavi slid under the comforter as well. He couldn't sleep after what had just happened. The room was quiet for about ten minutes until Allen spoke up in a very quiet voice. "...Kanda?"
"The fuck you want..." He muttered tiredly.
"...I...thank you...for waking me up..." He whispered so quietly Lavi almost didn't catch it. Kanda stayed silent for awhile before answering,
"You're welcome..." with a grumble.
To thank someone for waking you up...whatever Allen went through in that dream...no, in that nightmare, it had to be bad. Maybe Allen would tell them about it in the morning. They could only hope so. It was bad, the both of them knew, but if Allen was able to pull through it, then it couldn't be as bad. For now, they needed to let him get some rest.
...and a lot of rest, he did get.
Actually, he got so much rest that he woke up early at seven o'clock in the morning feeling really comfortable. Like amazingly comfortable...and warm. He'd never woken up feeling so...refreshed. He didn't want to open his eyes yet, since he knew it would be bright. For now, he got used to the brightness shining through his eyelids before actually opening them. When he did, he was met with something...something rather...questionable...and embarrassing. Oh yes, definitely embarrassing. Oddly attractive, but mostly embarrassing.
He was cuddling up to Kanda's naked chest.
This was so awkward. It could only be Lavi behind him with his arms wrapped around his waist. Kanda's arm was slung over his and Lavi's shoulder. It was just a huge cuddle session going on and while he thought it was quite comfortable, he felt extremely embarrassed being the one in the middle. He couldn't really move and sneak out of the two embraces so he had to wait for them to wake up. Who knew that Kanda could be such a cuddle bug? He expected it from Lavi, but Kanda? It was quite unbelievable. Allen tilted his head at the black tattoo on Kanda's chest, over his heart. It was a weird symbol of some sort...but it looked pretty awesome. He wondered what it meant since it was in a different language...most likely Japanese. Or maybe it wasn't a language? What if it was just a symbol? He still wondered what it meant.
It was then that he realized that Kanda's bare chest was rubbing against him.
That had caused his face to burn in many different ways and he closed his eyes, trying not to think about it. He could imagine the reactions when the two of them woke up too. Kanda would freak the fuck out and roughly shove both of them off the bed. Lavi...well, he'd probably say something pretty flirtatiously stupid. He really didn't feel like getting shoved off the bed this early in the morning-especially when he felt really good. So, his best attempt was waking Lavi up first. God, he could already see the teases coming. The redhead would never let him live this down. Or Kanda. Now that he thought about it, Kanda would be pissed if he woke Lavi up first. Allen shifted and froze when he heard a voice.
"Don't. Fucking. Move." Kanda growled and tightened his grip on the two, bringing Lavi's body closer to his own. Lavi mumbled with a smile and pulled Allen closer, raising his shirt up to feel his waist. Allen stiffened and gave Kanda a panicked look.
"...wh..." He started and Kanda shushed him.
"He'll wake up by himself and be too fucking tired to remember anything if you just don't move." Kanda muttered. Allen had a feeling that Kanda knew this from experience.
"...what time does he usually wake up?" Allen whispered back.
"Well, considering he was piss drunk for some reason last night...probably fucking three." Allen nearly cursed himself.
"That's...hours from now."
"Eight hours to be exact." Kanda mumbled regrettably.
"Oh." Allen mumbled and sighed, laying his forehead on Kanda's chest. He then gasped and just about pulled back until Kanda told him not to quickly. He blushed and tried to preoccupy himself with the tattoo. What could it possibly mean?
"So. While we're waiting. You're going to tell me what that dream was about." He demanded. Allen froze and looked down, regretting the action and quickly looking back up.
"I..." He started and sighed, knowing this was going to happen. They'd find out either way, so why not now? "When I was in...the school in Britain...I wasn't exactly a popular kid." Allen informed slowly. "...in fact, Narain was probably my only friend there...anyways...I...just a couple of kids found out that I was not-so-straight and..." Allen trailed off, looking away. "They just took it too far..." He murmured, closing his eyes. Kanda stared down at the boy, feeling a bit of anger flood through him. An anger that he didn't quite understand.
"Okay."
"...okay?" Allen asked slowly.
"You don't have to say anymore." Kanda explained.
"Oh..." He mumbled.
"Are you tired at all?" He asked and Allen shook his head.
"No..."
"Fuck."
"Why?"
"Because you are not consciously fucking cuddling me."
"It's not my fault..." Allen muttered. There was a knock on the door and the two awake teens froze.
"Fuck. Who in the hell could that be?" Kanda glowered and closed his eyes. "Pretend your asleep." He said and Allen quickly closed his eyes, feeling Lavi sit up and rub his eye. He climbed out of bed and paused, blinking and doing a double-take at Kanda and Allen. ...what the...oh. My. God. Lavi grinned mischievously and sneaked over to the door.
It was Lenalee.
"G'morning, Lena-whoa!" Lavi shouted as Lenalee yanked him out. "What's the big idea?"
"Are you an idiot? We have school today!"
"OH SHIT!" Lavi cursed and paused. "Wait, hold on a second." The redhead held up one finger and tip toed towards the two sleeping in bed before snapping a picture and running like hell's hounds were on his tail.
"What was that about?" Lenalee asked as they rushed out the door and down the stairs, cutting across plenty of neighbors yard. Lavi grinned at her and held his phone up to show a picture of Allen and Kanda cuddling together. Her jaw dropped. "If Allen and Kanda ever see that, they'll-"
"Castrate me? Yeah, but whatever..." He said giddily and saved it to his phone.
Back at Kanda's apartment...
The two previously pretending to be asleep shoved away from each other. Kanda stormed around the house, throwing a shirt on and searching for his jeans. He didn't even hesitate to take his pyjama pants off. Allen cried out and shielded his eyes. "Don't just randomly start stripping!" He shouted, keeping his eyes closed even if his hands blocked the view. Kanda gave him a funny look, even if he couldn't see it.
"What are you, a chick?" He asked and slipped on some tight, black jeans to match his black tank top.
"No! I'm just...not used to dressing in front of people...or the other way around..." Allen mumbled. Kanda paused in putting his belt loops through his pants and looked over to see Allen looking away distantly.
"Why? Because of your arm?" He asked bluntly and Allen winced, holding it protectively. Kanda che'd and finished buckling his belt. "I don't know why you're so worried about it." He continued, slipping on a jacket. "Anyone who'd think it looked mutated is a fucking nimrod."
Wait...was Kanda...trying to make him feel better?
"...what the fuck are you staring at? Get ready!" He growled and Allen looked down at his clothes and smelling them before making a disgruntled noise. He smelled like three different types of BO. But, he supposed that happened whenever you were getting cuddled by two different guys. It was warm, but it was also hot so he sweat as well.
"Can I use your shower?" He asked, a scowl on his face. Kanda froze and he looked over at the boy, shocked that he would ask such a question. Did he literally just ask to get naked in his apartment? Was he fucking insane? "I stink really bad." He explained and paused with a frown. "I have to be at Cloud Nine by nine right?...um. Do you think I have enough time to run home and take a shower and then slip on some clothes?" Allen asked and Kanda let out a long sigh. He was such a handful.
"Just use my fucking shower. I'll find you something..." Kanda growled and stormed off into another room...maybe it was used for storage...
"...well where is your shower at?!" Allen shouted.
"It's at the end of the hallway on the left!" Kanda shouted back.
"...thanks!" Allen called and opened the door, turning the water on to test the temperature. Once he managed to find the perfect temperature, he started taking his shirt off. He squeaked when the door suddenly came open.
"Don't ever make that noise around me again." Kanda hissed.
"Well don't just barge in when someone's undressing!"
"How the hell was I supposed to know that you fucking stripping?!"
"Well you could've at least knocked!"
"It's my fucking bathroom, I don't need to knock!"
"Well I'm a guest so yes, you do!"
"It's my house, I can do whatever the fuck I want!"
"Not when you have people over! There are unspoken rules between-"
"Just shut the fuck up and get in the shower!" Kanda shouted, shoving Allen in the curtains. He tripped over them and grabbed Kanda's shirt, dragging him down with him. The pole that held the curtains snapped at the weight and fell on Kanda's back. The two of them were soaked. "You son of a..."
"It's your fault for pushing me in the first place!" Allen shouted and the two lay very still as the hot water rained down on the both of them. The younger bit his lip, watching as Kanda's bangs stuck to his face and the water droplets fell from his beautiful hair. He had to admit...Kanda looked downright attractive wet. Oh god, that sounded so wrong...he blushed and soon enough, Kanda's lips were on his and they were making out quite...passionately, the both of them ignoring the water that was soaking their clothes. They shifted their positions and Allen was laying in the tub with Kanda taking most of the water to his jacket. Frustrated, he threw it off and pulled his shirt off as well. Allen's blush deepened at the sight of his pale chest once again. He was so...hot. This was bad.
This was very bad.
Allen let his hands explore his shoulder blades, hugging him lovingly as the two's lips coincided. It was like all of their thoughts flew out the window and neither of them cared about anything at the moment...anything but each other. "Mmm..." Allen panted, losing breath. He didn't even care, right now he just wanted to make out with Kanda and that's it. He couldn't explain the sudden urge, but he really didn't care. Didn't care about anything, not even his phone ringing. He could feel his lips bruising from the vicious contact and breathed heavily when Kanda pulled away and lowered down to suck on his neck. Not again...Allen thought briefly until he felt pleasure run through him.
It was safe to say that they were both late for their meetings.
Allen was probably five minutes late, to which he got a hit to the head for, and he was pretty sure Kanda had it worse. He really hoped that the teen didn't get fired. How was he supposed to explain to his boss that he got soaked because he was too busy making out with his band member? Yeah. Not likely. Knowing Kanda and his pissy mood, maybe his boss wouldn't even ask. "Your hair is wet." Klaud observed.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, I took a shower this morning." Allen informed, setting up a keyboard she lent to him since they didn't have time to stop by Lavi's garage to get his own.
"Why?"
"...huh?"
"Why did you take a shower?"
"Because I stunk?" Allen answered uncertainly. There was a gleam in her eyes that said that she suspected more than just that. "Why else would I take a sh..." Allen trailed off and felt his face go beet red. "No! No! God no! I just stunk this morning, that's it!" He said loudly, covering his face in embarrassment.
"Right, well, I suggest you keep the hoodie on." She said with a smirk before going to help out a customer. Allen frowned at the random suggestion and looked in a nearby full-body mirror, pulling his hoodie down just a second to see...
I'm going to murder him.
Bit of deja vu, no? ;D
