25. Chapter 25

Diamonds- Katherine, giving up the Queen's jewels

"My lady, the king demands that you give up the Queen's jewels."

Anger flashed in the Spaniard's eyes, before she quickly subdued it. She was the queen and no one could take that away from her, not even a king. "I will not surrender what is rightfully mine." She countered sternly.

The man pursed his lips, frustrated that Katherine would not bend to the will of his master. He gave a short bow, turned and swept out of the room. Katherine sat back into her chair with a sigh. Henry was relentless in his demands. She could be relentless too. Katherine could not let the traditional jewels of the English queens be given to that harlot. She was the queen of England, and she would die defending her title.
