The good the bad and Vanessa Chapter 25: To the rescue, a gnomeo & juliet fanfic

Gnomeo pov

"So we got a whole day to kill what do you want to group asked looking to Benny and Tybalt

"Don't you have to get back home to Juliet?"

"I'm actually trying to avoid going home now" I sigh.

"I understand, even Juliet can be a pain in the rear for so long, you just gotta get away from her"

I give him a hard glare. "Not what I meant at all!"

"Well what did you mean?"

"Juliet has company over and between you and me, her friends are a bit of a nuisance"

"Oh they can't be that bad, even if they're goody-goodies"

"It's not that- well it's mostly not that- It's just her best friend is...how do I put this nicely...the embodiment of evil!"

"Embodiment of evil? she sounds hot!" Tybalt smirks.

"Trust me she's not someone you want on your bad side"

"What's wrong with a bad side?"

"You know what I mean Benny!" I fuss.

"Well I have to go. Catch you later" The three of us soon go our separate ways.

"I'm back, Juliet!"

"I'm in the kitchen, I'll be right out!"

I heard the swift of voices of my children calling to me. "Dad!"

"I'm in the living room"

"Dad!"

"In the living room"

"Daddy!"

"I said I'm in the..."

"Hi Daddy" Kelly jumped into my arms. Following behind was the whole rest of the entourage.

"Can I help you all with something?"

Jake holds up a flyer to my face as I get a good look "The laser tag arena is opening tonight we need money for it" I gave them unapproved looks but then I just gave in to it.

"Don't be gone too long"

"We won't!"

I noticed one of them was missing "Where's Vanessa?"

"She ran off somewhere" Tyler said as closed the door on their way out.

"Ran off?" I wonder curiously. Vanessa has been going off by herself for hours lately. I wonder why?

"Oh baby!" I heard my wife's silk voice sing to me.

"Yes Juliet" I walks in the kitchen and...

Swoosh.

Juliet pov

I called Gnomeo into he kitchen while I was cooking. "You called?" He asked leaning over my shoulders.

I smile and kiss his cheek "Can you get me a cup from the cupboard" I point behind me.

He walks over there and got a massive surprise. He couched up a lot of powder and flour. The girls and I couldn't stop ourselves from laughing.

He looked at me. "You're a child Juliet!" he said with a bitter tone.

I got off the floor after finally pulling myself together "I'm sorry, Mickey made me do it!"

He scoffed "That figures."

Mickey tussles me on the head "And you did it and it worked perfectly. Buen trabajo rojita"

Gnomeo pov

After that clever joke, Juliet wiped off my face smiling and I smiled back at her. "All is forgiven?" she cooed.

"From you always" I flirt kissing her in front of the others.

Mickey gagged. "Get a room!"

"I'd appreciate it if you not use Juliet to lure me to your childish antics"

"Oh it's all in good fun"

I rolled my eyes. "Fun for you maybe"

I could hear the sour mocking she was giving me. "You married a stiff Jules"

"I can hear you!"

"You were suppose too!"

"Mickey!" Juliet says sternly.

She sighs "Alright, fine I'm sorry. How's about we call this a truce huh?" She holds her hand out for a shake but I was hesitant to accept.

"Hey genius my arms getting tired you gonna shake?"

"Fine!" I grab her hand and instantly get zapped.

"Ow!"

"Gotta sucker!" She laughs hysterically. The oldest trick in the book and I fell for it.

"Mickey One, Gnomeo Zero"

"Very cute!" I say with an annoyed glare.

Juliet gives me loving embrace. "Oh she's just having fun. Besides I recall you've had your share of childish mischief making"

"That's what I do. She does it just to get on my nerves"

Mickey pops out from nowhere. "Am I getting on your nerves?"

I give her a long frown. "Yes"

"Then I'm doing my job right!" She smirks and skips away.

I roll my eyes hard and leave the kitchen right when there was a knock on the door. I answered it and this is what I heard. "Is Juliet here?"

"Juliet you have company..."

Juliet pov

Penny, Carrie, Breezy, Mickey and I were lounging around my kitchen having a little girl talk. "So Bri how are things going with you at home?"

"Just perfect, why do you ask?"

"Just asking?" Penny shrugged.

"I for one and much more interested in Penny and Capt." Carrie smirked.

Penny blushed hot pink "Nothing to report really. We barely talk to each other now"

"*couch* Bologna!"

Gnomeo walked back into the kitchen looking at me "Juliet I think you have more visitors" He says.

Curious. Who could it be? I walked to the next room and there plain as day were my favorite Avengers team.

"Boys!" I squeal with glee.

"Show me some love little red!" Thor scoops me into his arms with a strong hug.

"I'm so glad to see you guys again."

"Always a pleasure seeing you too" They say.

I bring them over to the girls as we all reunite once more "The whole group in one place again"

"You're having a super hero reunion and didn't tell me Jules?" Gnomeo jokes.

"No but I am in the mood for barbecue right now" I joke

"Always the kidder love" He kissed me and left.

"What bring you boys here?"

Iron man stands for the rest of them. "Forgive us for the inconvenient drop by but we have something to tell you we think you should know Jules"

This sounded urgent "Follow me boys?" We all head to a secret place in the house to speak in private.

"So what's this all about?"

"We don't want you to freak out or something but, take a look at what we recorded?" Iron man suit opens up and pulls out a small cubicle. A small projection video appears.

"We've been using nature cameras to spot means of trouble outside the city and we picked up a very unusual footage" The image was a bit blurry I could barely make out. From the corner of the screen I could make out a purple figure. I couldn't believe it.

"Vanessa?"

"Jules isn't that your daughter?" Breeze asks.

"Yes! But I don't understand, what is she doing out there?!" I was concerned.

A group of strong men were seen knocking her unconscious and took her away.

"Oh my god!"

"We tried to pick up on her before we got here but we didn't have any luck. For all we know she could be gone"

"I'm so sorry Jules" I almost started breaking down crying, but the raging heroine inside me was telling me what I had to do now. I quickly stormed out of the house.

"Jules where are you going?" Mickey calls after me.

"To see a friend" I fly a short distance to Jazmin's place.

I knocked and Benny opened up "Hey Juliet"

"Can I come in Benny?" He lets me inside.

"Gnomeo what are you doing here?" I asked seeing him on the couch.

"A better question is why are you here?"

I put my hands to my hips "I came to talk to Jazmin, is she here?"

"Babe you have company" Benny calls to her.

She comes walking out of the next room in her apron "Hi Juliet"

"Jazmin I need your help"

"With what?" I whispered into her ears and she gasps.

"Oh my that is an emergency"

"What is?" Gnomeo asks but we ignore him.

"Come with me I think I can help you" We go upstairs to her and Benny's bedroom. She goes to her walk-in closet and inside was a large vanity mirror. Behind the mirror was a pad lock and instantly the door way to a surprisingly huge storage room appeared containing an assortments of weapon.

"You certainly do carry your weight in weaponry" I said in awe.

"Never know what you're gonna need?" She says walking in deeper. "So do you know what you need?"

"An explanation would be nice." Someone says. Jazz looks to me in confusion.

"That wasn't me" We turned around and who else should be right behind us.

"Benny how did you get in here?"

"The closet door was wide open" He points out. "What is all this stuff?"

"Just a few of my personal belongings" She says hesitantly.

"A few?"

"When do you find the time to make all this?" Benny asks.

"Well when your husbands never spends time with you, you manage to occupy your time"

"Very funny"

"Ah, Here we go" Jazz walks over and picks up a satchel. "Juliet everything you need is right in here" she puts it over my shoulder and I smile wide at her.

"Jazz you're the greatest"

"I know" She boasts as I give her a sisterly hug.

"What do you need that for?" Gnomeo asks.

"I have something I need to do" That's all I say before walking out.

(Back at the house...)

Back at the house the girls and guys were on the patio waiting for Juliet to return from Jazmin's house.

"Where in the androgynous galaxy is Juliet?" Carrie huffs.

"I don't know but I can't take much more of this mush gunk" Breeze motions to Penny and Capt. America whom were snuggling each other like puppies.

Mickey gagged "Oh kill me now!"

"Hello" Juliet chimed walking through the door.

"Thank overlord you're back" Mickey grasped me in a hug.

"And now I'm ready to get my daughter back" I said with confidence.

"You know where she is?"

I nod. "Jazmin was able to track her down, now It's up to me to get her back"

The girls stood up "We're coming with you!"

"You don't have too!"

"We want to Juliet we can't let you do this alone" Breeze says

"Yeah we're a team and a team never leaves their own behind" Carrie smiles.

i smiled back with a group hug. "I love you girls!"

"Juliet if we come with you we can help you navigate your way so that you don't get caught" iron man says.

"I'd really appreciate that!" We all raced outside to gate. Gnomeo walks right inside at the same moment.

"Juliet we need to talk" I cut him off.

"Not now Gnomeo we've got some business to settle" The gang and I take off, "Don't worry Nessa I will find you"

Vanessa pov

When I woke up the first thing I saw was an unconscious body beside me. He looks bruised and half dead."Sydney?"

"Sydney wake up, wake up?"

"Vanessa?" He said slowly. He was still alive I felt overjoyed.

I grasp him in a hug "You're alright! I was so worried about you"

"Not as worried as I was for you" He wraps his free hand around mine. I hear him mumble in pain and he fell down weak and hurting.

"You don't look so good" I say rubbing his face.

"I don't feel to good either" he felt heavy to the touch. He needs medical attention.

"I got you. I'll take you somewhere safe" I try to leave but I couldn't.

"Oh-no!"

"What?"

We we're trapped inside a large transparent containment "We're stuck?"

"It's made of bullet proof glass we can't escape"

"Who would put us in here?"

"Must've been those guys that were after you?"

"What do they want with me?"

Sydney crawl towards me. "Trouble I bet"

Two guys came towards us. "Oh good you're awake"

"It's okay!" He wrapped me in his arms.

"I demand you tell us why you have us imprisoned in here?"

"Hey guys looks, this guys acting like a big tough boy" They all laugh.

"Let me out of here and you'll see just how tough I am" he bangs the glass hard.

"Oh you little..."

"Serves you right"

"You're lucky you little brat"

"Please let us go, we're just kids" I try being nice to them but they laugh in my face.

"Awwww does baby wanna go cry? wah-wah, Hahahaha!"

"Rude!"

He gives the guy a slap on the head "Forget it you're not getting out of there?"

"What do you want with us?"

He looks at me with a bad look. I get uncomfortable."Our boss has big plans for this one"

"Me? W-Why?"

"He didn't say, but won't it be fun finding out hehehe"

"Jerks!" Sydney hissed. I back it up to the edge showing tears in my eyes.

"Nessa!" Sydney wraps his arms around me as I cry my heart out. "It'll be alright, I won't let them touch you"

"I'm so scared, I just wanna go home!"

"Don't worry we'll be alright. One way or another we'll be alright"

Juliet pov

It was finally dusk as the gang and I were sneaking around private property.

"This is so cool! Sneaking around like a thug" Mickey squeals

"Mick pull it together, we're on a search and rescue mission here".

We navigate through the area, across the grotto and patio up to the large steps. We peak in the bushes and two guards were blocking the door.

"If we get caught we'll never get in there"

"No worries I got something to help us" I reach into my sack and pull out a handful of smoke bombs. I toss them and they knock out the guards instantly.

"Thank you Jazmin" We make a break for it and up to the door. What I didn't count on was someone else expecting me.

"Hello love "

"Gnomes? What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same" he glared.

"I was trying not to tell so you wouldn't worry"

"What?"

"Vanessa was taken and I came to get her back!"

"Not without me your not. Let's get our baby back"

"The door is locked up I can't pry them open" Thor struggled.

"Stand aside" Gnome picks the lock and the doors open. "Beginners Villain 101" he smirks. I give him a loving kiss.

We creep about in total silence. "If we stay quiet we can be in and out in a..." I held my tongue when we were surrounded by the enemy ...Jiffy"

"Well boys look here. What are u pretty ladies doing?"

"Nothing looking for the little girl room"

"Oh well allow us to show you the way" One launched forward and Captain pulled the girls out of harms way.

"You sure are fast!" Penny smirks.

We all soon were in a tussle of our own. Looks like Nessa was going to have to wait.

Vanessa pov

"Tell me where the pain feels most intense?"

"Just around my abdomen and torso" he mumbled.

I was trying my best to do everything I could for Sydney. He was feeling really weak and I was helpless to do anything for him.

"Sydney I'm so sorry"

"For what this? I've been in worser spots than this. Can't think of any now but"

"It's all my fault"

"No it's not!"

"If we had never even met this wouldn't be happening, not to you at least"

"Vanessa look at me!"

"I can't"

"Look at me and listen" I force myself to look into those perfect Hazelnut eyes of his. I suddenly felt hypnotized.

"I would rather be beaten and die in your arms tonight, than go a hundred years without meeting you"

"Really?"

He nods. "Really really"

I leaned over on his arm, trying not to cause him too much pain "I feel so safe in your arms"

"You're safer with me than anywhere else" He said. No doubt about that.

The light from the Moon came creeping inside and felt a silver lining in this mess. A dark blur flashed before my eyes.

"Did you see that?"

"See what?"

"I thought I saw...nothing it doesn't matter forget I said anything" I sighed.

I rested my head down on his lap trying to get some sleep. I really loved being here in Sydney's arms, I just wish we were anywhere but where we were.

Juliet pov

It was a hell of a workout taking down all those guys but they all came down beautifully."Good work everybody"

"Yeah that was a lot easier than I thought" Mickey said.

"Speak for yourself" Gnomeo groans. "You accidentally shot me in the arm like a dozen times"

"Yeah, accidentally" She smirked.

Iron man came up to us after he parted ways to search the place. "Good news I found out your daughters being held not to far from here"

"Where? where?"

"There's a hidden passage down the hall it should be opened still and they're keeping her contained at the very bottom somewhere"

"Perfect!"

"The entire chamber should be empty at this time so you can just get in and get out"

"I can take it from here?"

"You sure red?"

"Yes I got it from here now. Thanks for all your help you guys"

"Anytime for you Jules"

"Well boys we better get these guys out of here and into some nice little jail cells downtown"

"You girls can meet me back at the clubhouse later"

"No problem!"

"See you back red" They all head back as Gnome and I head on.

Vanessa pov

Those guys came back to us. The look frantic and disturbed. "Change of plans, grab the girl we're getting out of here"

They tried prying me from Sydneys grip "Let go of me!"

"Leave her alone!"

"Get away from me!" I screamed and the hoisted me over their bodies.

A loud serious voice screamed. "Hey!"

Bursting through the door came the last two people I was never so happy to see before. Dad knocked them down and they dropped me.

"Mum, Daddy!" I ran into their arms shaking and squirming.

"My precious girl are you alright?" Mum squeezed me so tight.

"I'm fine mum really"

"You really had us worried darling?" Dad said joining.

"Dad"

"We are so sorry we will never let anything happen to you again"

"We're just so glad you're safe."

"I was alright Mum and Dad" I say. They smiled.

"And I wasn't really alone, my friend Sydney was here and..." He was no where in sight.

"Where you saying something Nessa?"

"Uh excuse me" I excuse myself from their viewing eyes.

"Sydney?!" I called all over for him but he was nowhere to be seen. "Sydney where are you?"

I found a note with my name on it stuck to the wall. I picked it up and began to read it.

We will meet again soon mon Belle xxxx ~Sydney.

I smiled. Classic Sydney, I loved the way he was both close and far from me.

"Vanessa!" Dad call. I place the letter inside my jacket and run back towards them.

"There you are. It's time for us to go home now"

"Okay" I say. Dad picks me up cradling me in his arms as he and mum fly me across the star night sky. I nuzzled in close as I looked down below, I could see thousands of shimmering lights casting around me. From atop a tall building that reached as high as the moon in the sky, a chivalrous silhouette graced my eyes. A tall slender riding jumping from roof to roof on a majestic stallion. I smiled wide with a warm feeling through my heart, I knew exactly who it was.

I'm glad of what I accomplish here and I hope you all Go though so too. Once again happy birthday to my Penny best wishes xxx
