~May 3~
Grace sat at the breakfast bar on her laptop late that afternoon waiting for Jacob. They were going out on their first date. He had informed her it was going to be an adventure that would take a while.
"Grace, can I talk to you for a minute?" Callen asked.
"Sure," Grace smiled, spinning around on the bar stool. Her dad looked a little nervous.
"You like Nell, right?"
"Of course," Grace replied, "why?"
"You see... I want to propose to-"
"Yes!" Grace smiled, making Callen laugh.
"And it's ok with you?"
"Of course it is," Grace smiled.
"You're sure?"
"Duh, I would of told you a long time ago if I wasn't," Grace replied.
"Ok," Callen nodded, nervously. "this is actually going to happen."
"Hey, calm down," Grace laughed, "I don't think she'll say no."
"You're right. I just need to settle down and relax," Callen said, mostly to himself. "You going out tonight?" He asked, noticing Grace's attire.
"Yeah," Grace nodded, "don't you remember?"
"Remember what?"
"I have a date tonight," Grace replied.
"No you don't. You not allowed to. You're my little girl," Callen said, "You can't be going out on a date."
"I'm 16."
"And growing up way to fast."
A knock rang through the house.
"That should be him," Grace said, hopping off the stool and walking towards the door. "Hey," she smiled.
"Hey," Jacob replied. "you ready to go?"
"Yeah," Grace said, "Dad! We're leaving."
"Ok," Callen appeared, "don't do anything stupid. Be home by ten."
"Ok, Love you."
"Love you too," Callen replied. He watched as the car pulled out of the driveway.
If Callen hadn't had his very special date tonight, he may have fallen into depression.
Later that night, Grace and Jacob were watching the sunset on the beach when Grace got a text.
"She said yes."
Grace smiled.
"What is it?" Jacob asked.
"Dad and Nell just got engaged."
It was 9:45 when Grace and Jacob got back to her house. He walked her to the door.
"So, you wanna go out with me again?" Jacob asked.
"Yes I do, very much," Grace smiled.
"Ok, well... I'll call you," Jacob said.
"Ok," Grace nodded, as things got a little awkward.
"Well, I'll see you later."
"Yeah."
"Goodbye Grace," he smiled, leaning over and kissing her cheek real quick.
"Goodbye Jacob," she blushed, as he walked towards his car.
Grace walked inside. She glanced to her left to see both her dad and Nell still looking out the window.
"What the heck are you two doing?"
"Nothing," Callen said, straightening up.
"Sureeee," Grace said, suspiciously. "Now let me see your ring," she smiled.

So, first off, ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE I STARTED THIS! Y'all are some of the best reader I could asked for. Second, I've decided that there will be one more chapter, more like an epilogue, BUT THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL! It'll be a couple months before I start posting it.
The last chapter will be posted within the next week.
