So this is it. Thank you everyone who had followed this story. The favorites and reviews I've got throughout the whole thing have been incredibly encouraging. I can't tell you how much I've appreciated all of them. I can't believe I started this a year ago. It's going to be hard to let them go. I've really enjoyed this fic and love these ladies, but I felt it was time to wrap it up. Thank you all again. xo
Over the next few weeks Rachel took over Kurt's role and became the crazy wedding planner for a while. She demanded that the flowers Santana and Quinn picked out went with both their gowns, and with what the bridal party wore, along with the linens and any and all other decorations a part of the ceremony and reception. Shooting Santana a cold-death glare when she asked if they could have black roses since black went with everything.
Thankfully, Santana's gown was one of the easier decisions they had to deal with over those next few weeks. She of course, wanted something fitted and chose a lace style, strapless Satin Trumpet, that tailed out just enough so that no bustle was needed. Quinn's dress however, took an extra week of going back and forth with styles, staring into the mirror for hours before trying different walks with each one, never fully satisfied. She was driving Kurt and Blaine crazy while Santana and Rachel enjoyed a few cocktails and a number of S.O.S text from Kurt the one weekend. Finally, Kurt and Blaine's mouths fell to the floor when Quinn stepped out of the dressing room in a strapless Tulle Ball Gown with a Beaded belt, Blaine even breaking out in song throughout the whole store with over-joyed excitement that Quinn finally found, "the one."
"Payback's a bitch." Santana said sitting up on her elbow on their bed when they finally got home that night. Quinn grinned over her shoulder at her as she removed her jewelry.
"Yes my love, I prolonged the dress process out because of the excruciating first day of venue shopping."
"Mock all you want, but subconsciously, that's exactly you did, I know it. Now can we celebrate." Santana said lifting her brow several times. "I've been a very patient woman as you took your cute, sweet-ass time picking out this magnificent dress that Kurt and Blaine want to marry themselves." Quinn glanced over her shoulder again, attempting the "are you kidding look," but couldn't hide the evilness in her lips as her mouth parted and she jumped onto the bed straddling the feisty Brunette whose fingers were already underneath Quinn's shirt removing it as it was on fire before Quinn dove into her.
After that night however, time began to zoom up to light speed. The bridesmaid's dresses were chosen next, all a short satin, off the shoulder style, and the color of apple, making the flowers and linen selection simple, white and red.
"The color of love." Kurt exclaimed once he heard the colors of the dresses.
"Oh god, maybe we should change it." Santana cried, but Kurt's mouth had already began spitting out ideas on what the center pieces and linens should be so she let him run with it. Plus, Santana didn't have the energy to argue with much anymore. It was now September and she and Quinn were back to their hectic schedules, but now they had to add wedding stuff into the mix. Santana's parents teamed up with Mrs. Fabray to go over the cost of things, paying for everything that had to do with the venue, which was the majority of the cost, saving both she and Quinn some stress, but each month now seemed to zip by before either one of them could blink. The Fall quickly fell into Winter, which began to melt into the spring, bringing them only a few more weeks away until the next semester of Law School ended, which meant only a couple of weeks to go until the wedding.
Quinn had a number of breakdowns those last few weeks, and instead of celebration sex with each new wedding obstacle tackled, Santana laid her down on the beg and gave her full body massages.
"How do you always know?" Quinn asked tilting her head to the side as Santana dug the heel of her palm into one of Quinn's many knots, getting an over excited moan from Quinn before she responded.
"I've gotten to know you pretty well over the years Q. I know when you need a good tub down and when you need a good rub down." Quinn let out a little chuckle wanting to comment on Santana's adorably perverted innuendo, but her words were soon replaced by more desirable moans.
Their last decision was actually the wedding cake, which besides Santana's dress, was the easiest decision to make. It was a three-tiered circle red velvet cake with a single red vine wounding around each tier. Picking red, or as Kurt yelped "love theme" every time someone mentioned the color was all worth it as long as they could get that red velvet cake, Santana and Quinn making exotic noises during the cake tasting before breaking out in a giggling fit after letting out matching moans.
Before Santana knew it they were pulling back up to the cottage a few days before their big day, coffee cup in hand, and with the same evil grin glaring at Kurt.
"Why are we here so early? We can't even check in for a few more hours."
"You are suck a delight in the mornings. Did you know that?" Santana snarled at him as she stepped out of the car. The entire wedding party would be staying in the wedding wing of the cottage, the deluxe room of course, going to her and Quinn. They had a lot of time to kill, but Kurt was too excited to waste anymore time that Thursday morning and wanted to arrive super early just in case they could check in before the regular scheduled time.
"They have this amazing brunch here Santana. Blaine and I checked it out last week. So, Rachel and I thought it would be nice if the four of us had a nice meal while we sit down and make sure we have everything."
"We don't need a sit down to make sure we have everything you know? We have the two most anal wedding planners in the universe in charge of our lives, I mean our wedding." Kurt ran over and squeezed her before she could let out anymore steam.
"I would normally slap you for that lovely tone in your voice, but it is your weekend."
"It's Thursday Porcelain." Quinn then shot her a stern, yet loving look. "Ok, I'll stop, sorry."
"No apologies necessary. I know you'll be all better after a few of their mouth-watering Mimosas."
"Now we're talking."
"See," he said giving her another squeeze, then directed them both into the cottage.
"Now, you two go and get settled while Rachel and I bring everything up to the rooms, or at least checked in to an area until our rooms are ready." He waved them off and Santana was happy to do as she was told as she looped her arm with Quinn's and placed her head down on her fiance's shoulder as they walked into the restaurant area.
"They're not coming with us on our Honeymoon are they?"
"No dear."
"Are you sure? You've seen how those two operate."
"I swiped their passports the other night just to be on the safe side." Santana looked up at her glowing.
"That right there is why I'm marrying you Quinn Fabray." Quinn smiled as she leaned in and gave her a peck on her nose.
"I love you too crazy girl."
Their brunch turned out to be just as amazing as Kurt predicted, the Mimosas hitting the exact spot as they quickly went over everything once more before sitting back and enjoying each others company.
The next twenty-four hours ended up being a crazed, fast-forward blur like the months leading up to their wedding day. Most of the wedding party arrived, which included Brittany, Puck, Tina, Mike, Artie, and Mercedes, leaving only their parents who decided to spend the night in the city so that the "kids" could bond.
The next day was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Santana and Quinn sat back and did what they were told, just hoping Kurt and Rachel didn't piss off those in charge of coordinating the ceremony by putting in their two cents where ever there was a spot left unspoken.
"Let's make sure we're nowhere near Berry when she gets engaged, because if she's like this for us, there isn't a wedding planner out there that stands a chance." Quinn giggled until they both received lunatic looking glares from the Diva twins.
"Sorry," the whispered in unison.
Santana remained on her best behavior after that, but the truth was, she was doing everything she could to hide her nerves. She didn't doubt her love for Quinn, being with her was the one thing in her life that always made perfect sense. It was continuing their now happy, perfect life that was starting to intimidate her. Santana wanted to make sure she brought everything she could into their life, to be able to provide for them, to make sure she could make Quinn laugh each time she was sad, to calm away every and all fears that would try to detour them, to give Quinn everything she deserved. Santana also wasn't looking forward to being so vulnerable in front of so many people tomorrow. Yes, they were her friends and family, and she could silence them all with one shot of her malicious glare, but that wasn't the Santana she wanted to be on her wedding day. So she put that girl to the side for a day. Tears were most certain to fall, and she needed to be ok with that, before the wedding started.
That night however, Santana wasn't able to put everything she was thinking that day to the side and was tossing and turning. What made things worse was that Kurt and Rachel insisted they sleep in separate rooms so that neither of them saw each other until the doors opened at the start of the ceremony. She didn't have Quinn's soothing touch to calm her down and she desperately needed sleep.
Santana grabbed her phone and carefully shot off a few text, hoping the light wouldn't stir Rachel before creeping out into the hall.
"Are you sure about this?"
"Absolutely." Brittany answered giving her a hug. "I'll make sure to come back and get you before sunset, I mean sunrise, see I'm learning." Santana laughed. "Hopefully, Rachel won't be able to see anything through her double layered mask she sleeps with, but I can't make any promises."
"I'm sure I can handle it."
"I'm sure you can. Thanks Brit, you're the best."
"I know." The tall blonde replied, blowing her a kiss. Santana reached out and caught it before stepping into Brittany's room where Quinn was already waiting for her.
"Are you ok?" She asked, taking Santana into her arms.
"Yeah, I'm just restless, and you are the only one who can calm me back down. See what you've done to me Q."
Quinn smiled as she took her hand and guided Santana over to the bed. They laid sided by side, Quinn pressing her back into Santana as she gently brushed up and down her arms wiping away every thought from her mind, and easily drifting off to sleep.
A few hours later, Brittany crept back in, separating them for the next several hours. Santana was now only hoping she wouldn't kill one of the diva queens without Quinn there to restrain her when they start to become unbearable, but once Rachel got started with her that morning, all murderous thoughts were far from her mind.
Santana was pampered. She got a morning massage after a light breakfast, followed by a mani pedi, then grabbed a few small sandwiches before hair and make-up. Rachel making her feel like the Queen for a change and without a single mean, sarcastic, or annoyed look or voiced the entire time between them.
It wasn't until Santana slipped into her wedding dress that a few of the nerves she had the day before came sneaking back into her head, but as she gazed into the mirror in front of her, she realized it was more excitement than anything else building within her. She could see her future in the mirror a few years down the road. Quinn landing her first big job a part of one of the finest law firms in New York, while she partnered up with a few of her counseling friends and opened up a coffee-house where lesser known bands could perform with hopes of making their big break at night, and a section put aside for a number of support groups during the day for those looking for help, encouragement, or just an open, non-judgmental ear. Next, she saw Quinn with a baby bump, slightly larger than her belly was in high school since this time around she was having twins, followed by a flash of her and Quinn sitting on a bench in Battery Park watching on as their children played fetch with their new Black Lab puppy.
It wasn't until Rachel had come up alongside of her and looked at her through the mirror, that her attention was taken away from her beautiful future.
"You ready?" Santana nodded smiling into the mirror.
"More than ever." Rachel escorted her out of the dressing room where her father stood waiting for her. Quinn agreed early on in the wedding planning that she would be the one waiting for Santana at the end of the aisle. She too, would still be walking down the aisle, but first, and alone. There was a small picture display with a candle to light for her father placed to the side from where she would be standing. Quinn knew her father and she didn't end on the best of terms, but Quinn felt deep down that he would have been proud of the woman that she had become, and wanted him to be a part of her special day somehow.
Pair by pair the bridal party went down the aisle as Santana waited around the corner for Quinn to go, not being able to see her, but could still feel her presence. Finally it was time for Santana to make her way down the aisle to her wife to be. She stepped out into the doorway, a slight summer breeze greeting her, with the most elegant creature she had ever laid eyes upon gazing down at her.
As Santana made her way down the aisle, each new step she took a memory from her past would flash before her eyes. The first time she and Quinn met at cheer camp in the park, their frenemies relationship kicking in immediately, to Quinn, her, and Brittany's first days at Mckinley, taking over the school until they became a part of the Glee Club. Funny how joining the New Directions was a joke at first, but it ended up being the best decision Santana had ever made, that was until Mr. Schue's first attempt at a wedding with Miss Pillsbury on Valentine's Day. Santana remembered how she and Quinn went as friends, then with each new drink became more flirtatious. She also remembered a point when she was going to actually turn Quinn down, not wanting to make another one of her friendships uncomfortable, but something else inside her said that being with Quinn was exactly what she needed. Her heart was still healing from breaking up with her first love. Little did Santana know at the time, that not only did being with Quinn help her let go of Brittany, but it helped her discover her true love.
As Santana stepped up to Quinn, those past memories drifted away while the future she saw in the mirror became more clear as she gazed into Quinn's eyes. This was their moment, their chance at a happy life, and so much more. And as they said their vows every one around them could feel their love as they began a new journey together.
