Hey guys! I know it's been like 2 years and half of you probably don't even read or write this fanfic anymore but I was reading through this story the other day and realized how special it was, personally. I thought why not give it a final proper ending. I think I could definitely edit and fix some mistakes and writing errors I made, but nah.
Writing this story was a coping mechanism for me. I was going through a hard time and needed the distraction. I don't write anymore because I don't feel the need to be distracted from my life. I enjoy writing but probably won't be back for a while.
As time went on, I got better and in the middle of this story I asked for help from you guys, if anyone would want to bounce ideas off of. Well one person did, and what started from this very website and this very story, turned into a relationship and we went from long distance to living together. I met the love of my life and we are going on our two year anniversary. We live together and will soon be buying a house together.
So I have a special place in my heart for this story and felt like it needed a follow up.
So I hope you enjoy.
Jessica, you have no idea how you changed my life and while you probably won't know I wrote this, one day you might and just know that I love you more than words could ever describe. You are my entire heart. I had no idea you were coming into my life and it was very hard at first but now its as easy as breathing. I adore you - Courtney
Please excuse any mistakes, I wrote this in like an hour before I had to go to work. Its just a small fluff story to end.
Thanks for the ride guys :]
Three years later…
"Piper, can you grab the bag and meet me in the car?" Alex asked while whirling around the room collecting necessities for their trip. She stretched her hands has far as they would go to pick up miscellaneous items while her arms were full.
"Yeah, be right there!" She called out from the bedroom, while she finished putting on her makeup for the day.
Alex smiled down at the beautiful blue eyes that peered up at her.
"How did you get to cute?" she cooed. "Oh, right you're your mother's child." She beamed. His piercing blue eyes matched Piper's perfectly. His small smile allowed cute dimples to show through his cheeks. The one thing he didn't get from Piper was his hair, it was dark, which Alex admired because she felt like it brought the best out of both of them.
Alex opened the door that brought in a gust of cold air. She shielded the baby with his own blanket and rushed to the car to get them both out of the cold.
As she buckled Mason into the car seat, he played with her hair. Pulling it, pushing it, trying to eat it…
She worked until each strap was tight and each buckle was secure. She handed him his pacifier and shut the door gently.
Alex hopped in the driver's seat as Piper was locking their front door.
She climbed in the passenger seat, sliding across the black leather of their SUV.
Alex took a while to be persuaded but nearly the moment she found out Piper was actually pregnant, she traded in the sports car for a luxurious black SUV.
Alex leaned in for a small kiss from her beautiful wife. She glanced in the rear view mirror to check on their 5 month old son whose eyes had grown tired and was about to fall asleep.
Alex sighed, causing Piper's eyebrows to pull together in worry. Alex followed up with a smile of content and Piper mimicked.
"Who would have thought, Alex the drug importer is now a mom and wife driving an SUV, willingly at that?!" The tall, raven haired women chuckled.
Piper nodded, "I would have never guessed to be here after 5 years." Her eyes were distant as Alex began driving through the streets of New York. "I would change a thing though, you know?"
She added softly. "You and Mason are the best thing that's ever happened to me."
"Ditto" she replied.
The trip went on peacefully, the baby stayed asleep nearly the whole time. After about an hour of driving they pulled into a long driveway.
Alex grabbed the baby who was now awake and about to have a meltdown because it was dinner time. Piper scooped up the baby bag and followed Alex into the large house before them.
They knocked twice and opened the door themselves.
"Hello!" Alex called out loudly into a large empty entry way.
"In the kitchen!" a raspy voice called back
Alex and Piper took of their shoes and carried Mason in to see his aunts.
"Hey Nichols, hey Morello" Alex went in for a quick hug with Mason.
"Hey there stretch and mini Piper" She smiled at the baby in Alex's long arms.
Morello gave Piper, Alex and the baby a quick kiss before rushing back to the stove where she was finishing the meal they had prepared.
"I hope you guys are hungry!" Morello squeeked with excitement.
"Definitely could eat" Alex replied. She settled Mason into a high chair and went to stand with her beautiful blonde wife.
"I can't get over how beautiful your house is." Piper admired for the umpteenth time.
"But its so far away, how could you move away from us like that!" Alex added
"I know, I know but seeing as we have a kid on the way…." Nicky trailed off with a huge smirk creeping on her lips.
"WHAT!" Alex and Piper shouted in unison. "No way!" they went in for a congratulatory hug to both Nicky and Lorna.
"We found out yesterday! Were due in July!" Morello cried with happiness.
"I'm so happy for you guys." Piper smiled at them
"Wait til you have to change the shitty diapers... they are no joke" Alex joked to Nicky with a haunting voice.
"Oh Vause, sell it to me" She rolled her eyes "I just don't want to fuck it up. I don't want it to turn out like I did…"
"Are you kidding me, you guys will love the shit out of that kid, trust me, you'll be fine. It might be bat shit crazy but it will have so much love." Alex assured her.
"Thanks kid." Nicky walked over to the baby and played with his hands. "Hopefully you can fall in love with our baby and we will have one big happy fucking family."
"Nicky!" Piper scolded
"Sorry, one big happy freaking family." Nicky corrected herself.
Alex shook her head and joined Nicky at the table.
"Maybe we should have considered moving a little closer to them you know? Out of the city?" Alex questioned to Piper.
Piper's eyebrows shot up, "I never thought I'd see the day that Alex wants to move into suburbs…"
Alex backtracked quickly. "I mean not completely next door, I don't want to be neighbors the the freak, maybe just like 10 minutes or something…"
Piper smiled, "I'd like that. I kind of always wanted the white picket fence..."
"You don't say, miss WASP…" Nicky bantered.
Piper rolled her eyes and smiled at her little family.
Everything was finally perfect.
She had her perfect family. A beautiful loving wife and a happy, healthy baby. She admired for a long time, soaking in the moment, hoping it would last forever.
