Chapter Twenty Five
Rebekah's blue eyes fluttered open. She leaned over and saw that Stefan was fast asleep next to her. She let out a little glee of happiness. Finally something was going right in her messed up life.
She heard a knock on the door and Rebekah wrapped her body in a robe. "Coming!"
She was greeted by one of Marcel's ex friends, Thierry. "Hey, morning. You told me that I should inform you if I found anything suspicious and I did. There's something I found in the docks and I would like to you show you."
Rebekah nodded as she turned around not wanting to wake Stefan up, but Stefan was already wide awake. He was staring at Thierry suspiciously. "What the hell is going on?"
Rebekah smiled at him. "Dear Thierry found us something that will prove to our advantage."
Half an hour later Thierry was showing Stefan and Rebekah through the docks. Rebekah froze when she found a symbol in the docks made of salt and there were two desiccated vampires in the center of the circles.
Stefan stared at the symbols curiously. "It's magic, obviously but I never seen this kind before."
Rebekah gulped. "I have. Centuries before."
Thierry crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm just surprise someone would just leave it out here in a place so public."
Papa Tunde smiled as he greeted them. "Greeting Mademoiselle Mikaelson and friends."
"You!" Rebekah scoffed. "Klaus killed you."
"Yes, ma'cherie," Papa Tunde exposed a pair of bright white teeth, "But as you can clearly see, I am not dead."
Rebekah used her vampire speed to approach him, but Papa Tunde simply grabbed her by the neck and pressed a blade on top of her forehead. Stefan watched in horror as Rebekah's skin slowly turned gray.
Stefan attempted to pull Papa Tunde off Rebekah. "Let her go!"
"Oh, so many volunteers." Papa Tunde touched Stefan in their forehead with the same blade and he felt himself screaming with unbearable pain.
She had kissed Elijah.
Katherine didn't know why this mere thought was making her feel so happy and wanting to skip like a little girl. She had kissed many men and Elijah many times, but this kiss felt special, unique. Perhaps because Elijah had been acting so stiff and proper and somewhat distant to her ever since she got impregnated by Klaus.
Katherine was glad that she had sneak in on him. Lord, knew that Elijah would never have the guts to do it. Katherine rolled her eyes, she wouldn't put it pass Rebekah and Stefan to be having sex in the middle of the afternoon. But this was more important that their passionate lovemaking, Katherine desperately needed a manicure. Her nails looked horrible and she had actually started biting them to cope with all the recent stress.
She and Rebekah had to beg Klaus to let Katherine out today since Rebekah had told Katherine were they did a decent manicure. Finally, annoyed by both his sister and Katherine's constant whining he had relented as long as the blond original stayed with Katherine at all times.
But Rebekah was nowhere to be found not even Stefan. She saw Thierry running into the compound looking scared. Katherine placed a hand on her belly and tried to look as innocent as possible. "Thierry, have you've seen Rebekah and Stefan?"
Thierry hesitated. "They were taken by some creepy warlock, we were ambush by the docks. I barely managed to escape."
Katherine narrowed her eyes. "Are they still at the docks? Because I'm sure that Stefan and Rebekah wouldn't go willingly to some creepy warlock."
"I'm sure as hell not going there again!" Thierry snapped.
"Fine, then I'll go." She snapped, not really knowing how a 5'7 pregnant woman would be much help. "Just give me directions."
Something was wrong, Elijah was sure of it. The compound was unusually empty. Rebekah and Stefan were nowhere to be seen, but what was really concerning him was Katherine. Klaus had informed him that Papa Tunde was loose in the city and that Elijah was to make sure that Katherine had extra protection since she had the habit of wandering off without thinking.
He saw Thierry nursing a bottle of whisky. "Thierry, do you have any idea where the residents of this house are?"
Thierry scoffed. "I don't-"
Elijah pinned him by the throat. "You're lying and I don't like liars. Tell me what you know before I compel it out of you."
"Rebekah and Stefan were attacked by some freaking warlock in the docks."
"And Katherine?"
"She went to follow them." Thierry blurted out before Elijah threw him against the wall. He needed to get Katherine, Stefan, and Rebekah before they ended up getting killed.
Katherine walked around in tippy toes, but whoever had attacked Rebekah and Stefan were long gone. She gaped when she saw Stefan and Rebekah desiccated and placed in the middle of circles made of salt with weird symbols. She furrowed her eyebrows. Was this magic?
She tried to enter, but she found out she couldn't.
"Katerina!"
Opps.
She turned around and found Elijah storming towards her. He griped her by the arm. "What on earth are you doing here? You're supposed to stay in the compound. You could be seriously injured-"he froze. "Rebekah. Stefan. They were the victims of Papa Tunde."
She frowned. "Papa Tunde?"
"An old warlock that for some reason came back to life." He tried to enter, but like Katherine found out he couldn't. "It's some kind of boundary spell, we need to break the link so that we can retrieve them."
"We need something to unbalance the blood of a witch." Katherine offered helpfully. "Emily-a witch friend of mine told me once."
"Like what?"
"Anything exotic. Ash, special herbs, or another witch's blood." Katherine tossed her head to the side exposing her neck. "Bite me."
"I'm not going to bite you!"
"There's no other way!" she hissed as she pushed her hair out of the way, leaving her neck wide open. "You need to bite me, my babies are some part witch thanks to Esther and I was a Traveler before I became a vampire. You can't be more exotic than that."
Elijah was still looking at her confused. "You were a Traveler?"
"I'll explain later." Katherine said impatiently. "Just bite me."
Elijah hesitated before sinking his fangs into her neck, and Katherine shut her eyes as she felt the sharp pain against her neck. She watched as small droplets of blood fell on the circle releasing Rebekah and Stefan.
"Here." Elijah said apologetic as he handed her his handkerchief. "It should help, at least until your daughters' hybrid blood starts healing you."
"Thanks." She said as she pressed it against her neck. "Now let's get Rebekah and Stefan home."
