Title: Secrets and Lies

Summary: Aliyah thought Rebecca and Tyler were the only family that she had left until she arrived in San Angeles six months ago. Now, after being approached by a man who claims to be her mother's brother, she is pulled into another life and death battle for Earth.

"Beetles in the sand," Mack whined as he, Aliyah, Dax, Tyzonn and Rose dragged their feet through the hot Giza desert. They had each ditched the long-sleeved uniforms for their regular clothes, but even shorts and t-shirts were too much for this heat.

"Thanks for the tip, Egyptian guy," Dax yelled, throwing sand into the air.

"I'm getting some faint signals," Mack said, looking up from his tracker. "We must be close to something."

"This desert is hundreds of miles across," Rose sighed, raising her hand to cover her eyes. "We need some sort of sign."

"Or more water," Aliyah said, tipping the last of her bottle into her mouth. "Oof!" she groaned as she tripped over something in her path, thankfully Mack caught her before she could hit the sand.

"Uh, Rose?" Mack asked pointing at the item Aliyah had tripped over.

Rose rolled her eyes. "Not the sign I was hoping for," she said.

"Yuck!" Aliyah grumbled, pushing away from Mack and heading up the hill. "Remind me... to kill Hartford... when we... get back," she puffed.

Pushing his way through the trees, Will stepped out onto a well-known hiking trail. He glanced around himself and then headed down the trail until he reached a fork in the road. He sighed. One of break-off points reached Ronny, but which one?

"That is the oldest trick in the book," scoffed a second voice.

Will closed his eyes in annoyance and looked over his shoulder at Norg. "I thought we told you to sit," he said.

"Yeah, but then I remembered that Flurious told me to find the Fearcats' secret hideout first," Norg nodded. "I'm trying to make myself useful."

"Sounds difficult," Will replied. He had no time for games. His friends needed him.

"Yeah," Norg nodded. "Ooh! Wait," he called, chasing after the black Ranger as Will walked away. "Look! See, they want us to follow those tracks," he said, pointing at the trail heading west. "But they didn't go that way. No."

"How do you know?" Will asked.

"Oh, Yetis are very good trackers. It runs in our blood," Norg explained. "We also eat a lot of blubber -"

"Wait a second. Go back to that tracking thing," Will said, holding up his hand. "How do you know they didn't go this way?"

"Simple. These tracks head west, towards the mountains. Fearcats and mountain goats don't get along, so they wouldn't go that way. And - and these tracks head north -" he pointed to the tracks leading away to the right. "Towards the north pole. Fearcats don't like the snow, so they didn't go that way. And these tracks were made by a buffalo," Norg added, pointing at the third trail. "So they didn't go that way... unless they took a prisoner. Oh, that poor little buffalo," he gasped.

Rolling his eyes Will turned away from Norg, before pausing. On his own he had no idea how to find Ronny, and with Tyler doing his Ninja thing he was left with only one option. "Maybe we should work together," he said, turning to Norg.

"I don't think that Flurious would like me helping you," Norg said, shaking his head. "No!"

"Well, you don't have to help me," Will said. "You could just follow the tracks, and I'll follow you."

Norg stopped shaking his head and turned to Will. "Uh, OK!" he said, agreeing.

Will smirked.

Ronny felt her eyes closing. The machine she was resting her head against was no longer cool, but seemed to be warming up more and more. She could vaguely see Mig and Benglo standing near the machine, beside them was the converted evil Sentinel Knight, a horde of Lava Lizards and Moltor.

"Her energy is almost fully drained," Mig growled.

"You should've waited to transfer the power," Benglo told Moltor.

"Your device works too slowly," Moltor snarled. "The longer we wait, the closer the Power Rangers will get."

"They'll never find us here," Mig said.

Suddenly the monitors beeped and two screens lit up above the console. One showed Will and Norg approaching while the other showed a fast moving black and green blur.

"You were saying?" Moltor asked. "Lizards... go!" he ordered.

The lizards snarled and left the underground base. They split into two teams, one heading after Will and the other cutting off Tyler.

Looking up, Ronny watched as the console continued to fill. It was two squares away from completion. "Ty..." she breathed.

With the heat rising and their water bottles empty, the Rangers ploughed on through the sand. Aliyah had taken Dax's arm, wound it around her shoulders and was half-carrying, half-dragging the blue Ranger forward.

"I don't know how much further I can go," Rose complained, her knees almost giving out. Tyzonn quickly grabbed her before she could hit the sand and, just like Aliyah had done with Dax, wound Rose's arm around his shoulder and lifted her up.

"The readings are increasing," Mack said, still holding his tracker in front of his face. "Let's keep moving."

"I can't," Aliyah said. "He's too heavy. Mack, how about we trade? You give me the tracker and you take Dax."

Mack glanced back at his cousin and nodded. "OK," he said, handing her his morpher. He then took Dax's arm and held the blue Ranger up.

Aliyah sighed and rolled her shoulders. "Ok, then, where were we..." she said, wiping the sweat from her forehead and looking at the screen.

"LOOK!" Dax suddenly shouted, startling the others. He was pointing ahead of them at the baron wasteland. "Water! We're saved! Haha!" he laughed, pulling away from Mack and sprinting ahead with newfound strength.

"Water?" Aliyah frowned. "Where?"

"Wait, Dax, it's not real!" Rose yelled. "It's just a mirage!"

But Dax was too far gone to hear her. "Cannonball!" he shouted, his voice echoing back to his friends as he dived into the water that only he could see.

"DAX!" the rest of the team yelled as their friend disappeared through the sand and out of sight. Rushing forward, the four of them crowded around and stared at the apparent sinkhole. The sand shifted and Dax's head popped up above ground.

"I think I found something!" Dax said, shaking his head to clear the sand from his hair and face. The others exchanged amused looks, chuckled and then plunged their blue Ranger back under ground.

With Dax waiting for them underneath the sand, the four remaining Overdrive Rangers exchanged looks, took a deep breath and jumped onto the sinkhole that Dax had disappeared through. They were met with solid ground.

"Ah, much cooler!" Tyzonn said, looking around the underground base.

"Anyone got a flashlight?" Dax asked.

"Here," Mack said, handing him the one from his belt. Dax clicked on the strobe light and turned it onto the path ahead of him.

~*Secrets and Lies*~

Norg laughed as he led Will out into the middle of a clearing. All that was to be seen was a mountain of boulders, but no cave, cavern or doorway leading to a base of operations or a hideout.

"I did it!" Norg said, clapping his hands excitedly. "I found it! Flurious will be so happy with me."

"You found some boulders?" Will asked. "Where's Ronny?"

"But... this is where the tracks end," Norg said, jumping from foot to foot and pointing at the boulders. "I - but -"

"I don't know why I ever trusted you," Will snapped.

Norg sighed and lowered his head, just as a yell of surprise echoed from the side of the boulders. Will looked around just in time to see Tyler being thrown to the ground and a horde of Lava Lizards chasing him.

"Ty!" Will shouted, racing over to help his friend. "Where'd you come from?"

"Ronny's in there," Tyler said, pointing at the boulders. "I nearly got to her but then these guys showed up and stopped me. I have to get back in there."

"Then let's deal with these guys," Will said. He jumped up and planted a kick into a lava lizard's chest, before spinning around and smashing his fist into the side of another. The lizards grabbed him by the shoulders and flipped him over, leaving Tyler to race forward to defend him.

"You messed with the wrong Power Ranger," Tyler said, jumping over Will and morphin' mid-jump. The second he landed, he summoned his drive sabre and spun in a circle, cutting down the lava lizards. Soon there were only three lizards left.

Jumping back to his feet, Will morphed and joined Tyler in the circle of three lizards. "Go find Ronny," he said to the green Ranger. "I'll deal with these guys."

"Are you sure?" Tyler asked.

"Three on one," Will said, shrugging his shoulders. "Not a problem."

Tyler considered the offer, before nodding. "OK!" he said, jumping out of the circle and running for the opening. He slashed at the Lava Lizards that tried to stop him, and was grateful when Will jumped in front of him.

~*Secrets and Lies*~

Dax grinned at his friends through the dark. "This so reminds me of a movie I worked on about a dangerous... scary... mummy... WHAA!" he screamed as he pulled back a hanging cloth to find a skeleton hiding behind him.

Aliyah chuckled from the back of the group. "You know, for a stunt double, you sure are jumpy, Dax," she teased. "Besides, if you've been in a situation before shouldn't you have been expecting that?"

"That wasn't in the movie," Dax mumbled, picking up the flashlight he had dropped. "But, never mind," he said, shaking his head and passing the skeleton into the next room.

"I wonder what the significance of the beetle is," Rose said, taking the hunk of amber from her pocket. She stopped dead as she stood on a stone flank and it slid down into the floor. "Uh-oh," she murmured, looking back at the others who had stopped.

A faint buzzing sound echoed from the hall behind them.

"What's that sound?" Tyzonn asked.

"I think I tripped something," Rose admitted.

"Leave it to the genius," Aliyah groaned. She turned on the spot and swallowed hard at the sight of a hundred, thousand critters scurrying across the walls, floor and flying through the air towards them. "RUN!" she yelled.

"What? Why?" Dax asked, starting to turn.

"Just do it!" Aliyah said, stumbling backwards. She caught Dax as he tried to gain better clearance of what was behind them and felt him stiffen in her arms. "Did you see it?" she asked.

"Uh-huh," Dax nodded.

"Good! Now run!" Aliyah said, taking off after Mack, Tyzonn and Rose. Dax followed behind her at a quick pace.

"In here!" Rose yelled from ahead.

Sliding into the room, Dax and Aliyah looked behind them as Mack slid the stone door shut on the horde of beetles that were scurrying towards them. As the door slid into place the team of five slouched against it, their breathing heavy.

"Beetles!" Aliyah whined. "Why did it have to be beetles?!"

"Wait, you're afraid of beetles?" Rose asked.

Aliyah shivered.

"Finally, something you're... sorry," Rose apologized, sensing the dark look Aliyah was sending her in the dim light of the dark cave.

"Whoa!" Tyzonn exclaimed.

Rose, Aliyah, Dax and Mack glanced his way to see that he was staring into the room. Following his gaze the team jumped to their feet and reached for their trackers as Kamdor and Miratrix stood at the edge of a tomb holding a map.

"You didn't think you were the only treasure hunters in Egypt, did you?" Miratrix asked.

Kamdor laughed evilly as he held the stone tablet in his hands.

"Oh, man, come on!" Dax whined. "This is worse than Monstercon."

Aliyah frowned and glanced at the blue Ranger. "Monstercon?" she asked. "Wait," she added as Dax opened his mouth. "I don't want to know."

"Stop!" Mack shouted, as Kamdor put the tablet under his arm and headed for the opening to his right. The ninja paused, turned back and blasted the Rangers with a blue lightning bolt.

Jumping up, Aliyah caught the energy bolt, drew the energy into her body and fired it back at the two ninjas ahead of her. "Catch!" she said, hitting the stone above their heads.

Miratrix screamed and stumbled back through the opening as Kamdor growled and pulled her out. "Goodbye, Rangers," he said, disappearing from view.

"Aliyah, wait!" Mack shouted, as Aliyah took off after them.

"Relentless, aren't they?" said Tyzonn.

"Who?" Rose asked. "Kamdor and Miratrix or Aliyah?"

"The three," said Dax.

"Come on, guys!" Mack called over his shoulder. He was ahead of his friends and chasing his cousin through the winding stone corridors.

~*Secrets and Lies*~

Aliyah could feel the sun on her face as she chased Kamdor and Miratrix through the sandy dunes. She could hear the others puffing and panting as they followed her, and the occasional humph as one of them tripped over or slid in the sliding sand.

"I hate running in sand," Dax complained, toppling over for a second time during the chase.

"Come on, Dax," Rose yelled, helping him stand. "We can't let them get away."

"Aliyah!" Mack shouted.

Aliyah ignored him and jumped off the sand dune as Miratrix and Kamdor started to head down. There was a flash of black and white, and Aliyah streaked after the two ninjas.

"I hate Ninjas," Tyzonn complained.

"Let's Ranger up," Mack said, reaching for his tracker. "Ready?"

"Ready!"

"Overdrive Accelerate!"

Colliding with Kamdor, Aliyah kicked him in the back and sent him tumbling face first into the sand. He dropped the tablet and Aliyah kicked Miratrix away as she tried to retrieve it.

"Hands off!" Aliyah yelled, picking it up. She ducked under Kamdor's double blades and kicked up sand as she swept spun her leg around, dragging it under Miratrix's feet and knocking the woman down.

Kamdor yelled in frustration. "That's mine!" he yelled, running at her full speed and planting a kick to her stomach. Aliyah hit the ground and rolled over, clutching the tablet to her as she jumped back to her feet and took off running towards her friends.

"Overdrive Accelerate!" Aliyah yelled, running her tracker down her chest and morphin' into her ranger suit.

"Give that back!" Miratrix yelled, tackling Aliyah from the side.

"Not a chance!" Aliyah yelled. She fought Miratrix off and tossed the tablet at Mack as Kamdor brought his sword down on her. Thankfully, Tyzonn was close enough to block the attack and fight Kamdor off of his teammate.

"Got it!" Mack laughed, taking off at a run with the tablet.

Miratrix growled and chased after him, with Rose hot on her tail. "Give me that, red Ranger," yelled Miratrix, slashing at Mack's feet with her sword. He tripped and hit the ground, the tablet rolling away from him.

"Ha!" Rose yelled, snatching the tablet up from the ground. It and rolled backwards, under Mack as he had flipped over in the air. Miratrix yelled in anger and jumped at the pink Ranger.

"Not a... chance!" Aliyah yelled, jumping at Miratrix and kicking her in the chest. "You OK, Rose?"

Rose nodded and held the tablet as Aliyah fought off Miratrix. "We have to get this home," she said.

"Head for the SHARC," Aliyah called as she fought. "Take Mack and Dax with you. Tyzonn and I'll deal with these two and then join you."

"Are you sure?"

"We don't have time for second guesses," Aliyah said. "Just do as I say and go!"

Rose nodded and headed towards Mack as he made it back to his feet. "Dax, come on!" she yelled.

"NO!" Kamdor shouted, fighting off Tyzonn and chasing after the three rangers.

"MACK!" Tyzonn shouted.

Gripping Miratrix's shoulders, Aliyah planted her foot into the other woman's stomach and pushed backwards. The alien ninja grunted and hit the sand with a thud, losing the grip on her swords as Aliyah flipped over mid-air and fired her drive defender at Kamdor, stopping him in his tracks.

Kamdor growled and unsheathed his swords. He run at Aliyah as she landed but was blocked, again, by Tyzonn. "Out of the way, Mercurian," he said, grabbing Tyzonn's shoulders.

"Not a chance," Tyzonn said. He jumped up and planted a double kick to Kamdor's chest and stomach, sending the blue ninja crashing into the ground beside Miratrix.

"T, let's go!" Aliyah shouted as she started to chase Rose, Mack and Dax.

Tyzonn nodded and took off after his friends.

~*Secrets and Lies*~

Tyler peered around the corner into, what appeared to be the base room. He could see his girlfriend in the middle of the podium, her hands trapped to half an egg shell that was glowing yellow. She looked tired, almost like the energy had been zapped from her.

It had taken him a while to find this place. He'd run into a bit of trouble along the way, but thankfully Will had turned up at the right time to deal with the situation at hand. Aliyah had made the right call when she had decided to send him to help find Ronny.

"Those Lava Lizards are useless," Mig growled from somewhere out of sight. "They lost the two Rangers' somewhere at the entrance."

"Moltor's just as pathetic," Benglo agreed. "But he sure can fight."

"Wait, is that -?" Mig asked. "More Rangers!"

Tyler perked up and peered around the corner again. Mig and Benglo were standing just in front of him, staring up at something that he couldn't see. Mig growled and punched his fist into.

"It's our turn now," he said, turning to Ronny and the Sentinel. "They're not going anywhere. Even if the green Ranger does get this far... it's too late to save her now."

Benglo laughed and walked towards the door. Tyler gasped and slid into an alcove just outside. He held his breath as the Fearcats passed his hiding spot and disappeared. Tyler waited a split second before hurrying into the room and over to Ronny. He reached out to touch her, but was stopped by the golden hand of the Sentinel.

"She stays," the knight said, pulling Tyler away from the weakened female.

"What? Are you kidding me?" Tyler shouted. "She's dying! Let me go!"

"I have my orders," the Sentinel said.

"Orders, from who?!"

"Moltor says the prisoner stays."

"You're going to listen to lizards lips?" Tyler shouted. "You're one of us, Sentinel."

Sentinel hesitated. It was all Tyler needed to tug himself free and kick the knight away. He wasn't sure what had happened to him, but it was obviously something bad if he was willing to work for Moltor, the same person he had cursed millennia ago.

"Ronny!" Tyler said, kneeling beside his girlfriend again.

"Ty...?" Ronny breathed. She could barely hold her head up, much less open her eyes.

"It's be, Ron, just hold on OK? I'll fix this," Tyler promised.

"Ty!"

Tyler looked around as Will dashed into the room; he ducked as the Sentinel threw a punch at his head and quickly kicked the knight away.

"What the -?" Will asked, as the knight came at him again.

"I don't know," Tyler said, running over and grabbing the knight from behind. "Find his sword mode switch or something."

As Tyler restrained their friend, Will quickly shut him down. The Sentinel sword clattered to the floor with a deafening clang, and Will rendered it immobile.

"We can figure out a way to change him back when we get home," Will said. "How's it going with Ronny?"

"I can't get her off this egg," Tyler said. He tried to tug his girlfriend's hands down, but found that they were stuck. The only time he could remember something like this happening was when Aliyah had told him about some freaky rock in the Cyberspace after she and Cam had gone to check on Ethan, apparently they had seen some future visions of Power Rangers.

Will frowned and looked around the room. "What's this?" he asked, walking over to a console.

"I dunno," Tyler said. "I'm afraid to touch it in case something goes wrong and it hurts Ronny."

"We have to try something," Will said. He pulled the panel off of the console and peered inside at the wires. "Red, Blue, Pink, Yellow, Black, White and Green," he breathed as the console beeped, indicating that it was almost finished draining Ronny.

"Hurry up!" Tyler panicked, watching as the last cube on the screen slowly started to fill.

"Gotta be black," Will muttered. He grabbed the black wire, closed his eyes and cut it in half.

The egg flashed and Ronny let out a soft gasp as her arms dropped to the floor.

"Ronny!" Tyler gasped, taking his girlfriend in his arms and kissing her forehead.

Ronny forced a weak smile. "What took you so long?" she asked, teasingly.

"We ran into some old friends," Tyler said. "But I found you... just like I promised."

~*Secrets and Lies*~

Outside, Aliyah and Mack had reached the area that Will had been when he sent his coordinates back to the base.

"This is the right place, right?" Mack asked, looking around. His tracker was beeping non-stop but there was nothing to indicate that Ronny, Will or Tyler were even in the area.

Aliyah looked up at her cousin and shrugged. "Maybe the others have found something?" she suggested, reaching for her morpher. "Guys, where are you?" she asked.

"Just south of your position," Rose answered. "Did you find anything?"

"No. You?"

"Not yet. We'll call you back if we find them."

"OK!"

"Why can't they have stuck together?" Mack asked. "There's safety in numbers."

"There's also death in numbers," Aliyah said. "It's called a massacre..."

"Point taken," Mack nodded.

"Blood bath."

"I get it."

"Carnage."

"Ali..."

"Butchery."

Mack scowled at his cousin.

Aliyah merely grinned and winked in return.

"Hey, looking for us?"

"Whoa, Deja vue," Aliyah muttered, briefly flashing back to her time at Ninja Ops when Hunter and Blake had returned as the evil duo once more. Looking up, she spotted Mig and Benglo standing on a ledge overlooking her and Mack.

"Not exactly who we were looking for," Mack said, lowering his tracker.

"But close enough," Aliyah said, reaching for her own.

"I'll flank them, Mig," Benglo said, nodding at his companion. "The others have got to be around here somewhere."

"Perfect," Mig said, nodding.

Aliyah sighed and glanced at Mack as Mig descended into the quarry to face them, and Benglo took off to search for the others. "Man, this has been one hell of a day," she complained.

"You said it," Mack agreed. "Ready?"

"Ready."

"Overdrive Accelerate."

Withdrawing their Drive Defenders, Mack and Aliyah exchanged looks and run forward. Mig laughed, drew his blaster, and charged the pair of them. He blocked a hit from Aliyah and kicked up at Mack as the red Ranger aimed a kick at his foot.

Jumping backwards, Mack spun in a circle and swung his sword at the cat. Mig laughed and blocked, knocking Aliyah away. She cried out as Mig slashed across her chest with his claw and knocked her to the floor. "This isn't working," she said as Mack landed beside her.

"What do we do?" Mack asked, scrambling back to his feet.

"Look out!"

Looking up Mack and Aliyah grinned as Will joined the battle, he was fully morphed and wielding his drive defender as he jumped from his Hovertech Cycle. He landed in front of Mig and slashed at the cat, knocking him backwards into a mountain.

"Are you guys OK?" Will asked.

"We are now," Aliyah said. "Where's Tyler?"

"He took Ronny back to base," Will answered.

"Is she OK?"

"She's a little weak," Will replied. "But she should be OK. Where are the others?"

An explosion followed his question and the rest of the team burst out of the trees, landing on the ground behind their friends.

"Guys!" Mack yelled, rushing over to them. He reached Rose and helped her stand, whilst Aliyah and Will checked on Dax and Tyzonn.

"You're all losers," Benglo laughed, rejoining Mig.

Aliyah clenched her hands into fists. "We'll show you who the losers are," she swore. "Come on, guys."

"Yeah!" the others agreed.

"Whatever," Mig laughed.

Reaching for her morpher, Aliyah snapped it open and raised it to her lips. "Cam, send the Tigerzord."

"It's on its way," Cam replied.

"Ready, guys?"

"Ready!"

"Go!"

~*Secrets and Lies*~

A few hours later, after the battle against Moltor and the Fearcats had been finished, the team returned to quickly finish setting up for their Halloween party. An hour before which Ronny and Tyler had taken Dax and Tyzonn trick-o-treating; mostly it was so they could help Tyzonn understand more 'earthly customs' as he liked to call them.

"Hey, has anyone seen Ronny and the others?" Aliyah asked walking into the games room. She was carrying her Halloween costume over her arm.

"They still haven't come back yet," Rose said.

"What's that?" Mack asked, pointing at the clothes.

"My costume," Aliyah said.

"So, what you going as?" Will asked.

Aliyah eyed the black Ranger and smirked. "You're going to have to wait and see," she said, putting her hand on her hip.

"You're not going to try and freak one of us out, are you?" Rose asked. "I don't need any more spiders being thrown at me."

Aliyah chuckled. "You're safe," she promised. "My costume is kind of a last minute thing. I wasn't going to dress up this year, but given Ronny's day, I've decided to humor her."

"What as she chosen to dress up as?" Rose asked.

"A vampire."

"And Tyler?"

"Werewolf."

"Ironic," Cam said. "Especially when you consider that a vampire and a werewolf are supposed to be sworn enemies."

"Yeah, but you get the one or two that break that rule," Aliyah said. "I mean, if they didn't we wouldn't have hybrids, and hybrids are always cool."

Cam shook his head and pushed his glasses back onto his face. He, just like the others, wasn't sure what Aliyah was dressing up as tonight. He was intrigued, maybe even more so than the rest of the team, but Aliyah had barred him from entering the bedroom and seeing her until the party.

"Well, I'm going to go change," Aliyah said, heading for the door. "I suggest you guys do the same. The party starts in an hour. Oh, and someone call the others, find out where they are."

"Will do," Mack called, reaching for his tracker. It was the fastest way to call the others.

Aliyah grinned at him and quickly exited the room. Once she was gone, Rose turned to Cam.

"Do you know what she's going as?" the pink Ranger asked.

"Unfortunately no," Cam sighed.

"Knowing Ali, it'll be something scary," said Mack.

"Or hot," Will said. The others frowned and glanced in his direction. "What? I'm just saying that Aliyah's idea could be scary and hot."

Rose wrinkled her nose at the black Ranger. "If I didn't know any better I'd say you liked her," she teased.

"No way," Will said, shaking his head. "Aliyah and I? We have a love/hate relationship, you know? We love to hate each other."

The others laughed as the front door opened and Tyler, Ronny, Dax and Tyzonn piled inside. Dax was dressed as a wannabe Rockstar, Tyzonn was dressed as a zombie. The silver ranger was looking excited while Dax was having a hard time containing himself.

"Guys! Look at all this candy!" the blue Ranger said, bouncing into the room and emptying his jack-o-lantern bag onto the table. Inside was an assortment of candies.

"As if we didn't have enough at the party," Will teased.

"Hey, where's Ali?" Tyler asked, noticing they were a ranger missing.

"Upstairs getting ready," said Cam.

Tyler checked his watch. "Shouldn't you guys be doing that?" he asked. "I mean, you don't have long until the party guests arrive."

Mack looked around at the others and nodded. "Come on," he sighed. "Let's get this over with." He stood and led Rose, Will and Cam from the room.

"Where are you going?" Tyler asked as Ronny walked away.

"I'm going to check on Spencer," Ronny said. "He should have the pumpkin pies ready by now. They're all we're missing."

"OK," Tyler said. "I'll stay here with Dax and Ty."

"Try not to eat too much candy while I am gone," Ronny teased.

Tyler gasped. "Would I do that?" he asked, popping a piece of chocolate into his mouth and grinning.

Ronny smirked, shook her head and disappeared from view.

~*Secrets and Lies*~

Soon the party was in full swing. The Rangers were all dressed in their costumes with Mack dressed as a robot; Rose dressed as a pink devil, minus the fork and Will had come as a skeleton. His costume, just like Aliyah's had been a last minute throw together, but it had worked in his favour has he was a hit with most of the ladies that had been invited.

Cam, on the other hand had come as a mad scientist. He was fixing his glasses when he heard someone let out a wolf-whistle somewhere off to his left. He turned around and spotted Aliyah making her way through the crowd. His eyes roamed over her as she stepped out of the crowd, his mouth formed a silent 'O' as he saw she was wearing a short tattered blood spattered dress complete with a stethoscope around her neck, there were bruises on most parts of her legs and Cam wondered if they were real but as she grew closer he could see that they were a part of her costume, there was also splashes of blood on her thighs, shoulders, chest, neck and face.

"I'm gonna assume by the look that you like what you see?" Aliyah asked as she finally reached him.

"I thought you said that you'd never wear another dress?" Cam asked sliding his arm around her waist as she wrapped her's around his neck.

"I change my mind," Aliyah shrugged. "Besides, this was the only costume I could find that was both scary and a little sexy at the same time."

Cam grinned and kissed her. "You could've made anything both scary and sexy," he said, pulling away. "But the idea of you as a nurse? Be still my beating heart."

Aliyah laughed. "You're weird," she said.

"Only for you," Cam said.

"Hey, guys!"

The couple groaned and pulled away from one another as Dax bounced over to them. He had somehow found a pair of shades and was holding them in his hands. "What do you think?" he asked. "Do they make me look cool?"

"Yeah, dude, you look awesome," Aliyah said, holding Cam's hands around her waist and resting his palms on her stomach. "Hey! Look who decided to join us," she added, spotting the skeleton behind Dax. "What changed your mind?"

"Same as you," said Will. "I decided to humor Ronny. I mean, she's been through a lot today and well, it was only fair."

"Aw, so you do have a heart?" Aliyah asked.

"Yeah, I guess you know what that is like, huh?" Will asked.

Aliyah shrugged. "Not everyone wears their hearts on their sleeves," she said. "I guess you and I are more alike than we care to admit... but don't think that means I'm going to start liking you more. I may like you less than I previously did, but I don't like you any more than normal."

"I wouldn't have it any other way," Will said.

Aliyah smiled and glanced over her shoulder at Cam.

"Hey, guys," Rose called wandering over. "Check out Mack."

"He's doing the robot," Tyzonn laughed, pointing at the red Ranger.

The friends laughed and Aliyah grabbed Cam's hand. "Come on," she said. "I wanna dance."

"How about we all dance?" Rose suggested.

"Yeah," Dax said, bouncing away.

Aliyah grinned and followed him towards the dance floor. For a few songs she danced with the entire team, but always remaining in Cam's arms. It wasn't until the sixth song started to play did she realise that there were people missing. "Hey, where's Tyler and Ronny?" she asked.

"I saw them heading upstairs about half an hour ago," Rose said. "Ronny said she was feeling a bit dizzy and she was going to lie down, and Tyler said he was going to make sure she's OK."

There was a long pause, before Aliyah scoffed. "Yeah," she said, grinning in amusement. "Dizzy."

Rose frowned and looked from Aliyah to Cam and then back again. "What?" she asked.

"Come on, Rose, even a genius of your status can figure out what's going on," Aliyah said.

Rose paused as everything started to sink in. Her face then flushed crimson and she wrinkled her nose. "I'm sleeping with earplugs tonight," she said, remembering that her room was right next door to Ronny's.

Aliyah smirked and then chuckled, while patting Rose on the shoulder. "Sucks to be you tonight, Rosie," she teased.
