A/N: Chapter 25, Carla Lives. And I am still alive. Sorry for the lateness by, well, a few months at least. My only excuse is school is evil. Someone commented a few days ago, and it was enough to get me writing again. I do not own resident evil, Ada, Leon, or the mental instability of Carla Radames (oh yeah, if you don't know the story of RE 6, sorry spoilers) And apologies for the overuse of the word ooze.
Carla melted from her position at the back of the room, leaving a pile of clothes unceremoniously on the floor. White ooze seeped forwards of it's own accord, moving across the floor and towards Ada and Leon.
"Well that's a new one." Leon murmured to himself, unsure whether shooting the ooze would help or not.
"Did I forget this part?" Ada asked innocently. Leon just shot a sideways glance in her direction as an answer.
the white ooze began to creep up the walls of the room, though the computer console from where Leon had killed a vampirica earlier was left untouched by the ooze.
Laughter echoed around the room, sounding as if it came from everywhere at ooze on the walls began to change shape. Lips rose from the once smooth ooze and pale mouths covered the walls.
"You cannot defeat me. You have already tried and failed Ada Wong! You'll fail again! I'm real! I will kill you!" The lips moved in unison, speaking with Carla's voice, "I'm watching! Hahahah, I'm watching you!" Maniacal laughter filled the room again as some of the mouths melted back into shapeless ooze only to be replaced by eyes.
"You could have been better Carla!" Ada shouted around the room before firing bullets into all of the eyes in her immediate vicinity. The eyes melted back in to ooze.
"I'm still here." Carla spoke again before laughing again.
"I don't see an ears on that wall, think she can hear us?" Leon asked, his gaze shifting between the different eyes on the wall.
"Not entirely sure it works like that, Leon." Ada smiled slightly at him, shooting another few eyes.
"That tickles, but it's my turn to have some fun!" Carla said as mounds of ooze began rising from the ground and forming bodies that looked like Ada but were purely ooze. The features of the face were compromised and smudged. 6 ooze women began lunging towards Ada and Leon. Leon kicked out as an ooze grabbed at him. The ooze stumbled backwards and fell onto the floor, melting. Ada disposed of another of her ooze-y clones in a similar fashion. The pale gloop on the floor creeped closer, closing Ada and Leon in on all sides. Two more clones rose from he ground to replace the two before them.
"Ugh this isn't getting us anywhere." Leon hissed, kicking another clone to the floor.
"We need to get out of her reach, or get her to back off." Ada commanded calmly, kicking a glob of ooze that was moving towards her foot. He ooze recoiled from the impact of her heel.
"Agreed, she - it - whatever, seems to back off easily." Leon fired a bullet into the pale ooze at his feet which recoiled backwards.
"Going somewhere?" Carla's voice cackled. At the front of the room a new Carla began to form, this one had clear features, the pale goo that formed her hair turned dark like Ada's own hair.
"I think you two should stick around a little later." Carla smiled. Ada and Leon jumped as hands came out of the floor and grabbed the back of their ankles.
"Carla!" Leon shouted, yanking one of his feet loose from her grasp and standing on the hands. Ada brought her heels down on the fingers. The both stumbled over to the sparking console which Carla's ooze had left alone a meter all around. Electricity sparked at them, which they rose their arms to protect their eyes from. Ooze hands rose from outside the ooze-less circle Ada and Leon stood in.
"Why are her hands not getting any closer?" Leon asked, confused. Ada looked at him, to the hands and then behind her to the sparking electricity.
"I think that's why." Ada nodded to the sparks. Carla still stood several meters away from the her and Leon.
"You think you have it worked out? You couldn't defeat me the first time Ada Wong! You can't do it now! I am better than you!" Carla yelled and thrust her left arm forwards, which stretched a meters longer. Ada and Leon rolled out of the way of Carla's attack. Carla growled at them.
"You're becoming a nuisance!"
She attacked again and Ada flipped backwards to avoid the hit, almost landing straight into the grasp of the ooze hands.
"Leon, infront of the console." Ada commanded, jogging around the console to the main source of the electricity. Leon and Ada stood directly in Carla's line of sight, with the sparking console right behind them.
"I'll get rid of you, Ada Wong!" Carla stretched her arm out again to attack.
"Go left!" Ada shouted as the arm flew towards her and Leon. The both rolled to the left at the last second and Carla's extended arm hit the console hard, sending a jolt of electricity through her arm, to her body and through the rest of the ooze coating the room.
"Aaaaargh! Noo! No!" Carla screamed. The ooze coving the room recoiled back to Carla and dissipated. Carla dropped to her knees and began to melt.
Ada and Leon were crouched on the floor, Leon more lying on his back, from where they had dodged Carla's attack. They looked at eachother and shared a slight smile before getting back to their feet.
