AUTHORS'S NOTE

Hey guys, I know chapters like this that are strictly author's notes are generally frowned upon but I really wanted to give you guys an update as to why I have been silent and haven't updated in awhile soooo….

Here we go….

A few months ago when I was working on some writing one morning I stepped away from my laptop to do a couple things aaaaand my kids spilled my coffee all over it and in their haste to cover up their little uh-oh they also knocked my laptop off the table, smashing it into two pieces.

YUP.

SO over the last couple months I've been setting some money aside so we can buy a new laptop. Since I also use it for work I couldn't really just run to Best Buy and get a cheap one, I needed to get one that was comparable to what I had before. Now that we have obtained said laptop my boyfriend and I have been working diligently to recreate lost documents (the previous chapters I have uploaded to fanfic were obviously pretty easy to re-download) but there were also lots of pictures and other things that we lost that we are working on re-obtaining that weren't in my cloud. So that has been a process in and of itself.

But in addition to the loss of my laptop that fateful morning my kid's also accidently destroyed my spiral notebook that had my entire outline for this story in addition to other things I had jotted down for original stories and other fanfic ideas. So I have also been trying to recreate those things in a NEW notebook, because I am also slowly working on an original piece as well. And I'm such a scatterbrained person at my core that I really do need to write all those things down to make sure I keep details and plot points straight (Seriously plot holes are such a personal pet peeve of mine, I can live with them but sometimes it drives me absolutely nuts).

And that's the jist of what I'm up to right now. I HAVE NOT abandoned this story but I do have to keep up this temporary hiatus. I am still working on this and I'm think that since I'm relatively close to the conclusion of this story that I want to get the next few chapters done in their entirety before I post them so that I don't have such huge gaps between updates once I can get this story back up and running.

I really really really appreciate the patience of everyone who has commented, favorited and followed my little story thus far, you guys are INCREDIBLE and I'm super grateful that even a single person has enjoyed what I've written. I genuinely can't wait to be able to give you the conclusion of my little delve into Japanese mythology, it IS coming, I swear it is. Once I start posting chapters again I will most likely take this author's note down so that it doesn't interupt the flow of the story.
