3 weeks later

Nate POV

I walked into C-Sec academy with Garrus because he needs to get some creds from his dad. Titus was too busy to do the grocery shopping so he asked Garrus to do it and since I was already at his place I decided to help out.

Inside the building I noticed that there were these new glowing shit all over the place. Some of it was shaped as statues and somewhere just these glowing balls. It was even used as paint on some of the sculptures and portraits of the council races. It was really weird since I was fairly sure that I could actually hear it pulsating.

"Garrus what's up with... this" I gestured to one of the orbs

"Oh yeah, my dad told me about it. Apparently someone had sent it to the Council chambers a few weeks back and they went nuts over it. So they had a bunch of this shit brought down here."

"I don't like it"

"Neither do I. It gives me a headache whenever I get near them"

"But you also told me that Jack's tattoos gave you a headache" I smiled

"Yeah but her tattoos don't have make me hear white noise like these paintings do"

As we walked I slowly started to feel as though my mind started going black. Things were starting to go fuzzy around the edges and this voice was starting to whisper in my ear. Is this the white noise that Garrus was talking about because I can't get it out of my head. I had to fight the darkness to keep my wits about me. Looking at Garrus I could see that he was slightly disoriented

We reached the commanders office I saw that it was surrounded by a mass effect field. "Close the door quickly" he barked covering his ears whilst wincing

"I don't know what the hell the council is thinking putting this crap all over C-Sec" he complained

"Why can't you just order it away?" I asked

"I can't order it away since most of the precinct actually likes it and most importantly Executor Pallin likes it. The only ones who can't stand it are me and Armando"

I noticed Garrus visibly sneer at the mention of Pallin. He's never liked him since he was by the book until death C-Sec. His dad was the same but his dad knew when to break regulation (albeit rarely) to get the job done

"Whatever it is it hurts my brain just being near it" I whined

"That's why I have this shield around my office. It's the only way to keep that damn noise out".

"Dad can you wire the money to my bank account"

He started tapping away at his omni-tool before looking up. "It's done. And Garrus buy something for Nathan as well"

"It's fine you don't have to buy me anything"

"It's no trouble Nate. Really"

I merely shrugged and said my thank yous. I was dreading going outside since those damn paintings and ornament will be outside. Why the fuck does the council want this shit all over the place anyway. Garrus and I nodded at each other and made a silent agreement to run out of C-Sec. It only helped slightly. It hurt just as much as it did when I got into Titus' office. What was also weird was that no one even took a glance at the fact that Garrus and I were walking through an office setting. Even when I grabbed him and jumped towards the door

We sat at the bench outside in order to catch our breath. We weren't just physically exhausted we were also mentally tired from the beating we took. Garrus was rubbing his temples, with his eyes shut and shaking his head vehemently like he was trying to shake it off

"What are you a dog?" I said quickly shaking the pain away

"Not now Shepard. If this headache persists it's gonna be the death of me" he groaned

"Say it ain't so" I pressed my hands against my cheeks dramatically "The great Garrus Vakarian defeated... by art" I said the last part in a flat tone

"Watch it Nate, next time you have a hangover I'm gonna start banging pots in your ear" he threatened before opening his eyes. "What the hell, you were just in pain a few seconds ago"

I tapped the base of my skull "Adrenaline Garrus, lots and lots of adrenaline" I informed. I was really thankful that I had the node installed otherwise this headache would be as bad as Garrus'

"You know what else is a good anaesthetic... Rage" he threatened

"Okay, okay I get it. I'll stop" I put my hands behind my back innocently.

I couldn't resist for very long. I whistled and patted him on the back "Come on boy" I said as though he were my dog. He gave me a glare "Let's go buy me a bacon double cheeseburger. Come on, your dad's buying"

Rylee POV

I had just gotten out of the shower outside after having to outmanoeuvre Miranda by engaging the lock procedure on her door for 5 minutes. When I got out I saw that she was wrapped in a towel with her hands folded across her ample chest as well as the scowl that adorned her face.

I flashed her a playful grin "Better luck next time". I gave Jennifer a high 5 as I walked back into my room. I don't know why she keeps going back to her own room. Me and Miranda both know that she sleeps in Nate's room and uses his shower but for some reason she thinks that we haven't noticed.

Speaking of relationships I need to see if Thane wants to go to the park today. Jade and by extension Oriana are starting to get restless and want to do stuff outside. I know it isn't Oriana's idea considering what Miri has told me about her never asking for much.

I put on a pair of shorts and a tank top and reached for my omni-tool. I heard that the house phone was ringing and knew I had to get it before it cut. I was surprised at just who was calling. On the caller ID I saw that it said 'MORDIN'. That's Dr Solus' name but this has to be another Mordin

"Hello"

"Hello... ah Rylee. Was expecting Hannah to pick up. But very fortunate you did" he spoke in his quick manner "Actually wanted to talk. Medical matters"

"Is there something wrong?"

"Just made observation of class paradigm. How you interact with members of class. Mainly Thane"

I could feel the heat rise to my cheeks. He said medical matters right. Oh God he isn't.

"Sexual activity normal as stress release." Oh God he is

"Particularly amongst adolescence of all species. But recommend caution with Thane. Drell/Human liason complex. Thane complex as well"

"Prolonged human to drell skin contact can cause small rash, itching, oral contact may cause hallucinations. Also forwarding advice booklets to your omni-tool. Valuable diagrams, positions comfortable for both species, erogenous zone overviews." he continued as though he were speaking of something as mundane as the weather.

"Oh God" I put my hands to my face totally embarassed by this conversation

"Can supply oils and ointments to reduce discomfort. Sending you electronic aid demonstration vids to use as necessary. And also forwarding copy to Hannah"

"What... No, no do not tell my mother" it's bad enough that I'm having this conversation with him

"Never understood squeamishness over such matters. Gave Nathan same advice only his was far more diverse and sent information to Hannah"

I cocked my eyebrow "Just how diverse are we talking here"

"Had to provide vids for Asari, Quarian, Turian, Krogan, Salarian and Biotics."

"And Nate knows about this?"

"Yes, many females have come to me thanking me for giving Nate information"

"Fucking sluts" I cursed under my breath

"Now back to matter at hand. Drell physiology and human physiology are very compatible. Contraception not necessary due to number of chromosomes of both species. However protection advisable considering diseases can still be trans-"

"Jeez Mordin can you please stop" I yelled. This caused my mother to come out of her room

"Mordin, Thane and I have never even..." I whispered

"Had sexual intercourse"

"Can we please just stop this conversation?"

"Of course. Hormones. Regardless, come to me when rash develops"

I groaned just as my mother reached the base of the stairs. "Rylee what's the matter"

"Someone's on the phone for you" I handed it to her and made my way upstairs

I heard a loud as hell guffaw coming from my mother. A laugh that I hadn't heard in a very long time. "Dammit Mordin when Eric said take care of her. He never meant give the girl an aneurysm" she laughed "You told her what?" she said between laughs.

Nate POV

When I got to Garrus' place we were ambushed by Rylee, Tali, Solana and Jade. We had planned on playing video games and hitting the gym. But they forced us to take them to the park. Thane had Kolyat in a Moses basket and handed Rylee a baby bag. Miranda had Oriana on her back and Jen walked out with her hands in her pockets.

Tali pushed Garrus and me towards the Rapid Transit terminal. We put up some resistance but we didn't want to hurt her so we didn't put our all into it. "Come on Tali, be reasonable"

"I am being reasonable. The two of you spend too much time playing those damn games" she lectured

"What are you my mum?" I challenged

"No" was all she said "I'm your worst nightmare" she said forcing her cool helmet onto my forehead

"Watch it bucket-head. Get any closer and I'll bust that pretty helmet of yours" Jen alerted

We had given up since we knew that we weren't gonna win this one. I sent Kaidan a text to meet us there since he lived near there. James said that he was hitting the gym with Jacob, Kasumi and Nyreen. Yeah right, the only reason Kasumi is even there is to ogle at guys exercising, the only time she's been in the gym was when Jacob was boxing with me.

"I'm gonna call Liara, she said that her cousin is visiting so she may as well join us" Rylee suggested.

"Sure why not? More people to share the suffering with" I sighed

"Nate, Garry stop being so grumpy. The park is so fun!" Solana cheered

"Solana, keep yelling like that and I'm gonna take your favourite doll, tear its limbs off and hide them around the house" Garrus threatened still trying to shake his headache off.

Come to think of it the adrenaline was starting to wear off. If I use too much of it my heart rate will sky-rocket and I could get a heart attack. That voice started to come back and something cold was gripping my head

"Garrus that's terrible" Tali slapped him playfully on the arm

That voice was starting to become more and more coherent but it still had the creepiness to it. I still couldn't make out what it was saying but it was definitely in English. I could feel myself losing control of my mind and my body begin to shut down.

"Garrus... it's somewhere around here" I grunted before falling to the ground

I closed my eyes and began to slip out of consciousness. I slipped up of a second and closed my eyes for a few seconds. The first thing I saw when I opened them was Jen sitting over me with fear in her eyes.

"There Nate" Garrus pointed in the direction of the people waiting for the hyper train. I saw one of the wearing this shirt which was painted in what looked like the same material as that from the C-Sec office. Why does everyone like this shiny shit?

Jen grabbed the guy and threw him to the other side of the path but it didn't really do much for the headache. He stormed over to us in a fit of rage directed at the tattooed biotic. "What the fuck was that you crazy bitch" the angry human said

I fought against the pain and grabbed the dude before Jen could kill him. I ripped his shirt off and tossed it in one of the homeless peoples fires.

"Dude what the fuck" he diverted his rage towards me

"You'll thank me later" I patted him on the shoulder as I regained my calm.

When I turned around I saw that the taxis had arrived and got into the first one I saw. I was followed by Jen, Rylee, Miranda and Oriana. I told them about the paint and how it crawled into your head and made you fucked up. I also told them that the material was everywhere on the Citadel. Shops, clubs, car parks, houses but fortunately for me there was none of that material in the park.

Liara and Kaidan were already waiting for us there playing with her cousin Raik Sierra. She was part Krogan and from what Liara told me she was her dad's, fathers, little brothers great grand kid. She sometimes head-butted things for no reason whatsoever.

We let the kids loose on the playground and Jack was dragged to join them along with Liara and Tali. I needed to rest for a bit to shake this headache off. It still lingered in the back of my mind. From now on I'm walking with a shield generator activated at all times.

An Hour later

I had finally convinced the kids to play hide and seek between themselves. Apparently people around here thought that Jade was Jen and Nate's daughter and made sure they're kids avoided her. They wanted to play with Oriana and Solana. But they refused to abandon Jade. It was so sweet.

Kolyat was sleeping in his Moses basket. So Thane had some free time on his hands and he sat on the bench meditating. I sat on his lap and kissed him, we both smiled into it. I shifted my hips so that I sat on his lap facing him directly. I felt something pressing on my groin and he did something I never expected. He gave me a sheepish grin. I've never seen him express any sort of embarrassment.

I twisted around and got off of him. "Sorry, I have found out that I have no control around you"

I could feel a lot of heat rushing to my cheeks. I tensed up and sat with my knees together and I forced my hands into my thighs. I must look like some shy as fuck teenager. Well technically I am. But I also started feeling really angry both at Thane and myself

I took a quick glance to see that Thane had an amused smirk on his face. "What's with that look?"

"I just find it amusing. In battle you are this strong, unbreakable force. But now you just look so... frail"

"I do not" I denied

"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend"

"No, you didn't offend me. I just don't... I feel funny"

"Is something wrong?"

"No... Yeah there is. But it's not you it's me"

Thane's expression changed dramatically. He was more serious than I'd ever seen him. "You've shown me enough human vids for me to know that, that sentence is never a good thing"

"What? Oh no! I'm not breaking up with you" I assured "But there is something that I've never told you"

"What is it?"

I mumbled something that I didn't even know what it was. "I'm sorry what was that?"

OK, this is it. I'm gonna go for it. To be honest I've never actually admitted this to anyone ever. But I found my voice failing every time that they were about to escape my lips. I'm not sure whether or not he'll laugh or just... no Thane wouldn't leave me for this. If Jack were ever to find out about this then I would freak. Here goes.

"I'm a vrrrgggghhhhh" I mumbled the last part. Dammit stop being such a pussy and get it over with

"You're going to have to be clearer than that"

I took a deep breath and shut my eyes as hard as I could. This is it just say it. Rip the bandage off quickly and let's see how this pans out.

"I'm a virgin" I blurted out slightly louder than I would have wanted. The worst part of it was the fact that it caught Jack's attention and she was staring at me wide eyed

I buried my face into my hands and with muffled embarrassment I said "I want to crawl under a rock and die"

"Mommy what's a virgin." I heard a little girl asked her mother

I let out another groan. I was absolutely horrified that I just blurted that out. Now that mum is going to have an awkward conversation with her daughter. And soon I'm going to have to have the same sort of conversation with Jack. Me and my big mouth

"Now that you've embarrassed myself in front of the Presidium." he started

"I am so stupid" I dug my face deeper into my hand and let my head rest on his lap. I felt him gently stroke my hair, his scales felt surprisingly soft against my skin. It was incredibly relaxing and my tension started to be alleviated.

"You aren't stupid Siha"

"Yeah I am. I know what I felt against my groin Thane. And it's something that... scares me"

"I understand if it's a topic you don't wish to discuss"

"No... I need to get this out in the open" I asserted "As you may have guessed... I haven't... you know" God I am such a fucking shy, prude. "Not that there haven't been any offers. Plenty of guys at Afterlife have made the suggestion and each of them ended up with a broken nose. Some of my past boyfriends thought that they could 'conquer' me. But I never gave in, mainly because I just never had interest in doing it with them"

"But I'm different" he inferred

"Right on the money... I want my first time to be with you because I... really care about you" I chickened out again. You can face down a squad of Cerberus soldiers and use your fear to keep you alive. But you're so fucking paralysed by fear you can't even tell Thane you love him.

"There is no rush Siha. I" he paused and took a breath "I have grown to care about you as a person. Not for your body but for your soul. Whether we ever become physically intimate or not makes no difference to me so long as I'm with you"

"So you'd like me if I looked like a Turian with half her face blown off by a rocket launcher?" I looked up expectantly

"Especially if you looked like a Turian with half her face blown off by a rocket launcher?" he leaned on top of me before kissing me

"If I looked like Wrex"

"Don't push it Siha" he joked

In the midst of my laughing I remembered that I still don't know what a Siha is. It can't be anything bad otherwise he wouldn't call me it. And besides he's called Irikah the same thing.

"What's a Siha?"

"I need to explain myself to you first. When I met you I had a pregnant girlfriend and not much else. And when she died I felt I had little to live for other than Kolyat. When she was killed I hunted those responsible. Once I had eliminated them and realised the nature of my actions I just wanted everything to end. I seriously contemplated sending Kolyat to either mine or Irikah's relatives on Kajhe."

"No offense Thane but why didn't you do that. It would have been easier for you in terms of bills and school"

"For one, money was never an issue. I have saved a good deal of credits from my previous career. I also wanted to spend time with my son. And my parents never knew of Irikah or Kolyat. I have not spoken to them since I was six"

"Really, since you were 6" I couldn't imagine not speaking to either Nate or my mother for 12 years

"There is also another reason...I stayed with Kolyat because... my parents entered me into a compact and when I entered I was bitter. I refuse to let my son enter a compact after seeing what mine has given me. Although it led me to you it also caused me great misery, loneliness and feelings of neglect. Knowing I would never again feel my mother's warmth or my father's love. I couldn't risk Kolyat going through the same thing"

"I get it... but you aren't curious about your parents in the least?" I enquired

His body language stiffened up and he proceeded as though he didn't hear what I said. This is something I'm gonna have to press out of him

"I stopped caring about my life then "She rips the artificial grass from the ground and the wind blows it away. She offers me a grin and says "You know Thane; if you smiled more often then maybe more girls would fall for you". She then blushed." he snapped out of his solipsism "That was three weeks before the Cerberus invasion."

"That was when I first realised that you had feelings for me. It was also the point that I realised that I had feelings for you also. I began avoiding you to try and put those feelings aside. But the more time we spent apart, the more I yearned for your touch. You woke me up from my battle sleep. After the battle you led me and hundreds of others to C-Sec. And then you led me back to Kolyat I realised I had met another Siha. After Irikah I thought I would never meet another. Few are ever privileged to meet even one"

"You still haven't told me what a Siha is"

"One of the warrior angels of the goddess Arashu. Fierce in wrath. A tenacious protector."

I was slightly flushed at the fact that he actually considered me such

"I care for you Rylee and that won't change. If you wished to end it, I would respect your wishes and leave. But I will wait as long as you need"

With that we shared a warm embrace and I felt a tear on my cheek. I'm lucky to have snatched one of the few good men in this fucked up galaxy

He asked "Did Dr Solus send you a sexual advice manual?"

Jack POV

Nate has been lying on my lap trying to shake this headache off. It looks more like he's having nightmares. He doesn't think I'm listening but I keep hearing him say get out of my head.

I thought of the image of the two of us as we were and let out a muffled laugh. If you would have told me I would be acting like some Barbie bitch and let some guy sleep on my lap even if we'd had sex. I would have spaced you. But he lets me do it so fucking often that I think I can handle it for 5 minutes.

Thane and Rylee were having another make out session. I sometimes wonder how they get any air with their lips always locked. Maybe they learned how to breathe through each other's noses.

I finally get why they spend so much time swapping spit. Because that's as far as they've ever gone and they're both horny as two Varren in heat. Funny, the monk and the goody-goody are horny and can't get their hands off each other. Whereas the man-whore and the slut have no problems keeping their hands off of each other.

OK five minutes is up. I let his head hit the ground and made my way over to Rylee. Thane had gone to talk to Liara and Miranda. I tapped her on the head and let a sinister smirk don my lips. She knew exactly why I was there.

"First Mordin now you" she complained

"The lizard gave you porn too" I thought he only gave it to me and Nate.

"He gave it to you"

"Yeah he thinks me and the boy scout are fucking that rabbits"

"I haven't had the… pleasure of watching them yet"

"I knew you were the type of chick that watches porn"

"Jen everything I know about sex has come from porn. Because as you and everyone else on the citadel now knows. I'm a virgin"

"You ain't missing much. We have toys and hands for a reason" I said

"Don't let Nate here you say that. From what Garrus has told me he takes pride in his…" she shuddered "Sexual prowess"

"Yeah well a lot of girls have taken pride from his sexual prowess" I spat bitterly. Why am I still jealous?

Rylee looked like she was thinking of something before a light bulb went off in her head. "You don't trust him" she then gasped "You haven't done it with him"

"Yeah…. we have… we fucked in the… err shower last… I mean this… dawn" I lied

"Jen you are the worst liar I've ever seen" she giggled "I mean the only people I ever hear say the word 'dawn' are asari matriarchs and krogan warlords"

I pulled my hoodie over my head so no one would see me "Keep it down. Fucking hell I don't want people knowing about it"

"That explains why I can sleep without hearing 'Fuck yeah!' at night. Or why the kids haven't come to my room scared that someone was dying." She continued to list off

"Hey wait a minute. I came over here to take the piss out of you" I pointed out

"But this is too damn good."

Before we could continue our 'debate' the kids ran over to me holding their arms in pain. They looked like they were going to cry but they weren't in tears.

"What is it this time. Fall off the monkey bars. Scrape some skin when you fall over" I teased

They shook their heads and merely showed me their arms. Their hairs stood on end and they were more stuttery and jittery than they normally were. Their teeth chittered and all they did was show they're hands. I took Jade by the wrist and inspected her palms and then the back of her hands. There were minor burns on both sides. I checked Oriana and discovered she was the same. I checked their pulses and they were strong but erratic.

"Who did this to you?" I ordered. They were in too much pain to speak and I get why

"What's wrong with them?" Rylee asked with concern evident on her face

"Electric shock." I stated

"How do you kn-"

"I've been on enough Cerberus doctor tables to know exactly this is princess. Their hand are burnt and their pulse is irregular" I interrupted. I learned a lot about what the body can be given and survive.

"They'll be fine. The shock wasn't deadly otherwise they would have passed put from a heart attack". I caught the surprise on her face. Her look said 'what did they do to you?'

"Who did it to you?" I asked again fully expecting them to answer me

I felt a hand grip my arm before a painful electric pulse was sent through my arm. That familiar buzz went through my body. My biotics flared and I instinctively grabbed at the source of my pain. I grabbed at thin air. The pain went away as did its source.

A kid started laughing from behind me and I turned so I could toss him in the pond. Only thing was this kid looked like he was the brats' age. He had black hair, scruffy clothing and a square-ish head

"That is fucking hilarious" he cheered

I tried to reign in my anger but this kid could have killed me. Not a Cerberus army, not Eclipse, Blue Suns or Blood Pack. Not Aria, the cheerleader or even FUCKING NATE. But a FUCKING KID. And the fact that his laughter had that high pitch I expect from kids just made me want to rip his arms off and beat him with them.

"What's the matter? You look a little shocked" his laughter continued to be an omni-blade to my skull

I got up and stormed over to the kid but he decided to run. Bad idea. I jumped a good 5 yards ahead of him and stood in front of him. I grabbed him by the collar and pinned him up against the tree.

"Are you fucking stupid kid?! You could have killed them" I screamed

"Yeah right! And just who the fuck do you think you are?" he challenged

"I'm the one who's gonna throw you into the presidium lake"

"Oh… I am so scared"

I had to resist the urge to strangle this kid because I'm pretty sure that killing some rich kid would get C-Sec all over my ass.

"What? You know you can't do shit to me" he asserted

"Don't assume shit kid. I've killed people for doing less to me" I grabbed his skull only to feel a biotic amp.

He kicked out at the tree to force himself forward and it caused me to release him. He ran towards the kids and biotically jumped over the bench. I made chase and saw that he was headed towards the park exit. Shit he's gonna get away. But then he started back-pedalling and ran back into the park. I threw a pull field at him and pulled him towards us.

Then Rikki walked into the park looking around like she was searching for someone before her eyes landed on the kid. She stormed over to us

"Jack what the hell do you think you're doing" she demanded

"That's it Rikki show this freak who's boss" the brat encouraged

"I'll show you freak" I threatened before Rylee yelled to get us to calm down.

"Let's try to make sure no one dies today" she suggested "Je- I mean Jack let the kid go" I complied and let the kid stand by Rikki

"Now back to my earlier question. Why the hell did you pull my little brother?"

I huffed "So this little piece of shit is your brother. I can see the family resemblance"

"Just what the fuck is that supposed to mean"

Rylee raised her hands "Relax!" she shouted. She was surprisingly commanding in spite of how nice she was.

"Rikki your little brother decided to shock these kids. Literally"

Rikki turned to her brother with a look of indignation "Jason! When the hell will you learn to act your age?" she berated

"Why the fuck am I being made the bad guy"

"Maybe it has something to do with you pulling this crap on everyone on the damn presidium"

She faced Rylee and bowed a little "I am so sorry for what Jason's done. He just can't seem to help himself"

"I'm not the one he should be apologising to" Rylee responded before ushering Oriana and Jade forward

Rikki pushed Jason in front of her. "What?" he asked. A vein popped out of her head. She smacked her brother on the top of the head

"Apologize" she ordered

"Like hell I am" he asserted before jumping away "Why do you always have to be such a bitch"

He ran out of the park only this time there wasn't anything to send him back. Rikki growled out of annoyance "I am so gonna kick his ass when I get home"

She saw Jade and Oriana and took a look at their hands. "Yep he definitely did this. Likes to shake people's hand" she observed

"Neither of you have cried once have you?" she questioned the two brats. They shook their heads. "That looks really painful. You must be brave, strong little girls". They started blushing at her praise

She took a glance at me. "What do you think you're looking at" she goaded

"If you want to fight me just tell me. I'll be more than happy to rip your face off"

"Sorry Jack but I only fight women not… whatever you are"

"I am a woman bitch"

"Really" she patronised "With your hair, your chest, your ass, your attitude and your mannerisms… I feel for your struggle"

She had better pick her next few words carefully otherwise this park is going to become a crime scene

"Being a varren trapped in a boy's body must be difficult"

Just as I was gonna pounce Rylee put her hands and body in front of mine to prevent me from attacking her. "Let me murder this bitch" I encouraged

"She's not worth it Jack"

Nate POV

I woke up to the loud ass noise coming from around me. Jen was in an argument with someone and Rylee looked to be playing peacekeeper. So there was nothing new going on there. This little power nap did wonders for my headache. The voices are totally gone as is my migraine. The only problem was that this argument seemed to be escalating.

"Let me murder this bitch"

Okay now it's time for me to step in. I kicked up from the floor and stood by Rylee. You are fucking kidding me. The person that she's arguing with is the author of a good portion of my recent problems.

"What's going on here?"

Rikki turned to face me. Her smirk was provocative and she gave me a wink. This was a gesture which didn't go unnoticed by Jennifer. "Control your bitch Nate"

I couldn't stop her from punching Rikki. And I didn't want to stop her. For one I don't like her and secondly I know that I would have punched her in Jen's position.

I was surprised when Rikki actually dodged the punch; if it had connected Jen's biotics would have literally taken her head off. She then grabbed Jen's hand and threw it over her own back. She placed her palm on Jen's stomach and shock waved her 5 feet back. That was almost Thane like.

"Like I said I only fight women" she brushed her shoulders off and walked towards the gate.

She had winded Jack so she couldn't get her breath back. Rikki was good, better than I had given her credit for. Jen got to her feet and her biotics flared uncontrollably. I quickly put my hands on her shoulders.

"I can't let you go after her" I stated

"Let go of me NOW" she commanded

"I can't"

"Why not?"

"Because if I let you go now. You will kill her"

"Yeah so what! One less PAIN IN MY ASS!"

"This isn't the Wards or Omega. Up here you can't kill people without C-Sec being up your ass. And if it's Garrus' dad then you are screwed"

"You just want to protect your precious Rikki" she seethed

"Time to go kids" Rylee rushed grabbing the two kids, draping one on each shoulder and getting the hell out of what was gonna be a warzone

I can't believe she's pulling this shit now. "Fuck you" I snarled. I stomped towards the exit

"You're not denying it!" she pointed

I stopped dead in my tracks. I stormed back towards her and planted a violent kiss on her lips. We stayed there for a minute. She pulled me down so that it would be more comfortable for her and moans of pleasure escaped her lips. When I pulled away she looked confused

"The reason that I didn't want you to kill Rikki does have something to do with me protect Rikki. But it has more to do with protecting myself"

Her face contorted with bewilderment "The fuck you talking about Shepard"

"Screw it we're not having this conversation"

"Like hell we're not" she asserted. From her stance she was not going to back down

"You wanna know why I did what I did! Fine! I can't lose you" I yelled

"I don't want C-Sec coming after you because without your Cerberus contacts I doubt you'd evade them this time.…" I exhaled before continuing "I don't think I could handle losing you" I confessed

This time she actually looked hurt at what I was saying. "I'm finally making progress with my condition and… if I… if you were to go down for murder or worse if they were to kill you… then I would lose it"

"B-But Rikki" she stuttered

"I don't care about her I care about you" I reinforced

I noticed that she was looking beyond me and her gaze fell upon someone behind me. I turned my neck to see Rikki sporting a forced smirk. I know that smirk, it's meant to mask pain but your eyes always give you away.

"I was coming to apologize for how I acted… but you know what I just don't care anymore" she put extra emphasis on the word care before jumping over the fence.

I felt a pang of guilt for not picking my words more carefully and the fact that Rikki actually heard that out of context. Oh well I'll just have to deal with this later

I turned to Jen. She was visibly shaking and refusing to make eye contact "You've just made the biggest mistake of your life in choosing me"

"No I've made the best"

She avoided me for the rest of our time there. The only people she spoke to were Thane and Liara. When I tried to talk to her she just blanked me. What the hell did I do now?

I've got thoughts like little bugs crawling through my head and it's driving me fucking insane. How did this fucker manage to make me crazy? Well crazier at least. Did he not understand exactly what that Murtock story was telling him? Falling for me is one sure way to an early grave.

And it's mostly my fault. Because for some inexplicable reason I want this. I want him. That's not right, I'm not meant to care this much about anyone. I'm the Cerberus built super weapon, I'm not meant to want anything but to kill.

He' fucked up my mind. I never once cared what anyone thought of me but now I do. I hate it when he teases me because somewhere in my head that voice starts making me feel insecure.

And now I'm in the room that Hannah had given me when we first arrived. It had been a while since I'd been here. I moved most of my clothes into his room as well as my little black book and my porn stash. I know he's there right now and it scares me.

I'd realised something a few days ago that scared the shit out of me and I've tried real hard not to think about it. But now it seems to be all I can think about. Fuck Nate for being so fucking… Nate. He's almost impossible for me to hate and that makes me hate him but I can't. So I'm going around in circles and it's driving me up the wall.

Fuck it I can't be chicken shit for the rest of my life about some fucking guy. I walked out of my room and headed towards his. After a moment of hesitation I finally went in. He was fast a-fucking-sleep! After all this shit he's dropped on me he just falls asleep.

I took a different position than normal. I got behind him and lay in the spooning position. I let my arms drape around his massive frame and I felt at ease. Fucking asshole

I brought my lips close to his ear and said something I never thought I'd ever say to anyone or anything. Hell I barely heard myself say it. Of course being the little bitch that I was I couldn't tell him while he was conscious so like a fucking pussy I have to wait for him to be out cold to say it.
