It was a short fight. Crocodile had caught Vivi by the arm and threw her down into the ground.
"My people…" Vivi muttered, standing up again and getting thrown into a wall. "I can't give up they need me…" She coughed, charging the man again.
"Stupid girl trying to protect your puny kingdom?" Crocodile laughed at her, slamming her into the glass that lead to the sea, making a crack in it.
"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Luffy yelled at the sand user, who simply smirked at her and dropped Vivi to the ground. So yes, Vivi was easily defeated by Crocodile, who had broken the glass of the aquarium type thing he had in the jail cell. Water started filling the area as Crocodile left.
"Vivi! Vivi are you ok!?" Chopper called from inside the cell. Vivi coughed and nodded shakily.
"The key! it's over there!" Nami pointed at a rock, just as a crocodile ate the key.
"EHHHH!?" The crew, and Smoker yelled in surprise.
Vivi glared at the animal, clutching her weapon and attacking it as best as she could. The water was rising, she was running out of time to get the key and get them all out to freedom.
"SPIT IT OUT!" SHe cried desperately, fighting the beast. She dealt a hard blow to it's stomach and the key came out into her hand. She trudged over in the knee deep water that was rising quicker than before, and unlocked the cage.
Zoro grabbed Luffy, lifting her out of the water that was up to his waist, Sanji picked up Chopper and dove down with him, swimming out, leading the way for Nami and Usopp.
"Zoro…" Luffy groaned when the water was almost over their heads, starting to come in great quantities.
"What?" He panicked.
"Smoker, get Smoker out of here, I'll be fine." She groaned.
"Luffy I-"
"Captain orders!" She shushed him when the water went over them. Zoro let go of his captain, who was holding her breath as she sunk to the floor. He grabbed Smoker and swam up and out, dropping the marine on the shore.
Sanji glared at Zoro.
"Where's Luffy!?" He snapped.
"She told me to! I didn't have a choice." He took in a breath and dove back down to grab her. Sanji blinked in confusion, as did Usopp, Chopper and Nami. Smoker let out a cough. They all backed away from him as he sat up and looked around at them.
"What in the hell…" He looked around on confusion.
"Luffy wanted to save you." Sanji lit a cigarette, glaring at bit at the marine, who looked shocked.
It was then that Zoro surfaced, bringing Luffy up with him. She coughed and took in deep breaths as her first mate set her on the shore.
"Mugiwara…" Smoker looked at her. Luffy stared back at him in silence. Suddenly the street was filled with loud footsteps.
"CAPTAIN SMOKER!" The marines yelled as they ran over at the pirates.
"We have to go!" Usopp yelled, grabbing Chopper and running.
"Yeah, come on you three!" Nnmi yelled, running off.
"Yes Ma'am!" Sanji sang, running after Nami with hearts in his eyes. Zoro looked back at Luffy, who had stood up and was face to face with Smoker, he reached for his swords but Luffy held a hand up, telling him it was ok.
Smoker stared down at the pirate girl.
"You saved me." He said.
"I didn't just want to leave you there Smokey-kun." Luffy smiled at him. The man blushed a bit, placing a cigar in his mouth. The marines were getting closer.
"Go." He said. Luffy blinked.
"Wh-what?" She looked confused.
"I'm letting you go. Go go… Luffy." Smoker said, calling her by her name for what felt like the first time. Luffy smiled.
"Smoker!" She jumped and hugged him tightly, causing the man to blush even more. He closed his eyes in frustration.
"GET OUT OF HERE BEFORE I CHANGE MY MIND. MUGIWARA." He snapped.
"So scary!" Luffy jumped away, into Zoro's arms. Zoro nodded at Smoker before carrying Luffy away, who was waving at the marine captain until he was out of sight.
The straw hats and Vivi were hidden away.
"So what's out-" Usopp stopped, CHopper gave him a confused look.
"What?" Nami asked. Sanji blew out smoke.
"Oi. Moss head…" he snarled. Zoro glared at him.
"What do you want, shitty cook?" He snapped.
"WHERE'S LUFFY-CHAN!?" Both Sanji and Vivi screamed at the same time.
Meanwhile… Luffy was running through the town on the way to a certain someone's hide out. She wanted him to KNOW she was coming.
"CROCODILE!" Luffy screamed angrily as she charged his lair.
