Author's Note: Right, before we start, yes I decided to skip "Eye of the Storm". We'll see Hannah's fear in Jungle Fury, and secondly, my Dissertation Project is due in on Thursday; therefore I will be busy all week and won't be able to update anything. I'll try and bring you part 2 of this update ASAP, but it won't be until after Thursday, I can guarantee that.

Title: The Lost Thunder Ninja
Summary: After learning that the Thunder Academy has been destroyed, sixteen-year-old Hannah Bradley returns to Reefside, California to search for her brothers, Hunter and Blake. However, during her search she will realize that her greatest mistake will be to give up, and her hardest deed will be to hold on.
"I thought you guys were only going camping for a few days?" Hannah asked, passing Hunter as he returned for the last of the supplies. "There's enough gear here to outfit a whole city."
"What? It's just the necessities," Hunter replied, disappearing back into Storm Charges.
Hannah rolled her eyes and walked over to where Tori was packing her van. "I highly doubt we're going to have room for the rest," she said, tugging open the side door and loading her items into the back seat.
"How much more is there?" Tori asked.
"Dustin's coming now with the TV."
"A TV?"
Hannah nodded. "Yeah, he claims that they have to be able to watch the supercross tomorrow," she said. "I don't know they don't just record it, and watch it when they come back."
"I thought the point of camping was to rough it?" Kelly asked, approaching the two girls'. She was only now coming into work, seeing as Dustin had promised to open up and set everything up for her before he left for his weekend with the boys.
"If man was meant to rough it," Shane called, appearing out of Storm Charges carrying a generator, "why did he invent portable generators?"
"Because man got lazy," Hannah said, climbing into the front seat with Tori.
Tori laughed, and glanced back at the boys. "Just get in the van before I change my mind," she said.
"But then we'd have to unpack everything," Hannah huffed. "I say we just get them to their campsite, and be done with this whole nature trip."
"Thanks for giving us a ride," Blake said, climbing into the back and slamming the side door behind him.
"No problem," Tori replied. "I wouldn't miss seeing you guys in the wild for the world. Plus, this way, I know how to find you when things go horribly wrong."
"Come on, we're highly trained ninjas," Blake said. "What could happen?"
"Ooh, don't tempt fate, Blakey," Hannah teased.

"One bar, two bars... Ooh! Three bars! I got - nope, damn it!" Hannah groaned as she lifted her cellphone above her head. The little white signal bars at the top of her phone started to flicker and die before her eyes. "Tori, back up, I had three bars back there."
Tori smiled but carried on driving. "You're not going to get very good signal out here, Hannah," she said. "There are no cell towers to bounce off of."
"Great!" Hannah sighed, locking her phone and stowing it away inside her jacket pocket. "Tell me again why I agreed to come on this little road trip?"
"To keep me company?" Tori asked.
"True," Hannah said. "I wish Cam were here. At least he talks some sense," she added, tuning into the conversation going on behind her.
"Have you guys ever wondered why the sky is blue?" Dustin asked, "And not, like, see-through?"
"Not me," Hunter said, looking weirdly at the yellow Ranger.
"Well, 'cause, I mean, it's just air, right?" Dustin asked. "It should be see-through. You ever wonder about that?"
"Uh, Dustin, i'm the air guy," Shane said, patting his friend on the shoulder. "You know, Power of Air... you worry about the dirt, figure out why dirt's brown."
Hunter and Blake laughed, as Dustin held his hands up in defence. "OK," he smiled, "I was just asking."
"Technically the air is see-through," Hannah said. "The blue you see is just scattered particles in the air. But it's all complicated scientific information that probably only Cam and Tori would understand, so, you know, whatever."
"You've been hanging around Cam too long," Hunter teased.
Hannah smiled, and shook her head. "Actually, Leanne taught me most things scientific," she pointed out. "Besides, I like hanging out with Cam. We have fun."
"What exactly do you guys do while hanging out?" Blake asked, and Hannah could hear the protectiveness in his tone. She glanced at him in the rear view mirror, only to catch him exchanging a look with Hunter.
"Seriously, guys?" Hannah asked. "The whole 'protective-older-brothers' thing is getting tired. You've really got to start letting me grow up."
"You're still only sixteen," Hunter said. "You've got plenty of time to grow up. What's the rush?"
Hannah rolled her eyes, and turned back to the front. "Woah! Woah! Tori stop!" she yelled, as a young woman wearing mountain-gear jumped out into the middle of the road. Tori hit the brakes, and the van jerked forward, each of its occupants grunting as their seatbelts pulled taut against the chests.
"Dudes, are you sure we're making the right choice?" Dustin asked. "I mean, last time we stopped at the side of the road our school got sucked into space."
"We can't leave her out here," Tori said. "What if something happens to her?"
"You said that last time," Dustin said, opening the side door and climbing out with the others. Hannah jumped down from the front, and hurried around to the woman. She looked no older than 19, and was looking frantic between each of them.
"Are you alright?" Tori asked.
"It's my friend," the woman answered. "We need help. Do you guys have a rope?"
"You didn't happen to pack a rope with the CD player and laptop, did you?" Tori asked Shane.
"As a matter of fact I did," Shane nodded. "Come on," he added to Hunter, needing help to sort his way through the bags without them falling on top of him. Once they had returned, the woman led them to where a large group of people, all wearing mountain-gear were waiting.
"We were abseiling and her rope broke," the woman explained. "She's stuck."
"Help me! Help!" the woman on the side of the cliff shouted desperately.
"Oh, man!" Shane gasped, peering over the side. "Hold on! We're going to get you out of there!"
"Lower me down," Blake said. "I'm the lightest."
The others nodded, while Tori and Hannah comforting the woman who had stopped them.
"Good idea," Shane agreed, pulling back with Hunter, Blake and Dustin. They huddled up, and spoke in hurried whispers, before suiting Blake up and attaching him to a harness before he edged his way over the ravine. After a few minutes, the rope had begun to slip, and Tori left Hannah with the female that had stopped them in order to check on Blake.
"Blake, she OK?" Tori called.
"She's fine," the first female said, her voice deeper than expected.
Hannah frowned and turned to her, just as she materialized into a Kelzak fury. "Holy - whoa!" she squeaked as she was thrown into Shane's arms, while Hunter and Dustin hit the harness that Blake's rope was attached too.
"I so did not see that coming," Tori said, as the rest of the civilians turned into Kelzak furies also.
"That's what I was hoping," said Zurgane appearing beside the Kelzaks. "Attack."
The foot soldiers swarmed forward. Shane put Hannah down, and the two jumped over the Kelzaks, landing in the middle of them. But no matter how hard they fought, they were no match for the super-powered underlings.
"Hunter!" Hannah yelled as the Kelzaks backed her into a corner, while above more Kelzaks tried to squash her with a series of boulders and stones.
"Hey, look out!"
Hannah grunted as Blake collided with her, knocking her out of the way of the boulders as they crashed down onto the place Hannah had once been standing minutes before. Shaking her head, Hannah looked up to see that her brother was fully morphed, and standing with his arms open wide in front of her.
"Thanks, Blakey," she said, getting back to her feet. The others joined her, and Hunter made sure to check her over for any cuts or bruises that didn't belong.
"I think it's time to clean up these clowns," Shane said once Hunter was satisfied that Hannah was fine.
"Ready?"
"Ready."
"Ninja Storm, Ranger Form!"
"Thunder Storm, Ranger Form!"
"Ninja Ranger Power!"
With a substantial amount of energy and power running through them, the Rangers made easy work of the Kelzaks, while Shane used his Battlizer to send Zurgane running for the hills.

With their alien problem done and dusted, the Rangers returned to the van and onward to the camping grounds. Once they reached their designated destination, Tori and Hannah set about unpacking the bags while the boys' set up their tents - or rather tent.
"That's the last of it," Tori said as she and Hannah pulled the last remaining four bags from the back of the van.
Hannah turned away and promptly dropped the bags with a silent thud, as she saw what the guys' had set up. "You have got to be kidding me," she said.
"Here's the TV, boys'," Shane grinned, unloading the monitor onto a small table in front of the others.
"This isn't camping," Hannah said, watching as Shane fiddled around with the antenna on top of the TV in hopes of getting a signal. "This is a resort. All you need is a water slide and a luau."
"That would be cool," Dustin grinned, munching on a bag of chips.
"Hey, anyone want to order pizza?" Hunter asked.
"Yeah, i'm in," Blake agreed. "Except none of that ham and pineapple stuff, though, huh?"
Hannah frowned and turned to Tori, this was unbelievable. "Did he forget the whole fiasco I had with my own phone not getting any signal?" she asked.
Tori shrugged, and Hunter groaned as he saw the 'no signal' message on his phone screen.
"Looks like we're having hamburgers," Hunter said, dropping the phone back into his bag. "Where's the fridge?" he added, failing to spot the object in question.
"I think you guys are missing the point," Tori said.
"The point is to have fun," Blake said, messing around with a fishing rod.
"Dudes, you should've just converted the living room into a pretend campsite, and camped out at home," Hannah said.
"Pffft. That's for little kids do," Dustin said.
"And this is any different?" Hannah asked. "You could've ordered pizza from home."
"You sure you two don't want to stay?" Blake asked his sister, and Tori.
Hannah glanced at Tori, and shook her head.
"Thanks, but I gotta get back," Tori replied. "Cam needs some help at Ninja Ops. But I'll be back to pick you guys up the day after tomorrow."
"Bye," Hannah waved, scurrying over to the van and climbing inside.
"See you, girls'," the boys called.
After buckling in, Tori started the engine and tried to drive forward, but the van refused to move. Hannah frowned and glanced out of the window to see that they had parked into wet dirt and sunk down, causing the wheel to become wedged.
"Looks like we're not going anywhere without help," Hannah said, glancing at the boys. "Yo, dudes, a little help?"
The boys' groaned, but got up to help nonetheless.
"On the count of three," Tori said. "One, two, three..."
Tori revved the engine, splattering the guys with mud as the wheels spun aimlessly in the dirt. Hannah laughed openly as she watched the boy's struggle, while being caked in mud. She knew it wasn't nice to laugh, but she couldn't help it as it was a sight to be seen.
Finally they managed to get the van loose, only to fall face first into the mud, and Tori crashed into the generator, knocking the van and TV off, and also causing the power running to the fridge to disappear.
"Oops," Tori winced as the boy's appeared at the front of the van, covered from head to toe in dirt.
Hannah giggled relentlessly.
~*Lost Thunder Ninja*~
While the boy's showered, Hannah fussed around the camp. Finally she found what she was looking for and walked over to the large BBQ grill that they boys had managed to somehow pack.
"What are you doing?" Tori asked, watching her.
"Making up for our little endeavor," Hannah answered, opening the hamburgers and putting them on the grill. Luckily the grill didn't need gas or electric to power it, and she was able to just light it with a packet of match sticks. "Pass me the cheese squares."
Tori took a packet of cheese squares from the fridge and passed them to Hannah; the amber ranger turned the burgers over and then added a slice of cheese to each of them after they had turned a rich brown. With the cheese burgers sizzling, Hannah buttered the rolls, then grabbed a few soda cans and put them in the stream to cool down.
"Do this often?" Tori asked.
"Not really," Hannah shrugged, closing the grill and sitting beside her friend. "But since my parents died Hunter, Blake and I had to grow up pretty fast. Hunter and Blake can't cook to save their lives, so I had to learn."
"How did you learn?" Tori asked. "I don't expect they taught you at the Thunder academy."
"No, but I met Steve at the academy," Hannah said. "He taught me a few things."
"Sounds like he cares about you."
Hannah nodded and smiled as she remembered everything Steve had done for her since their initial meeting. "Yeah, he's helped me realize what my brother's must've felt like after they'd been adopted into my family," she said, "considering he's almost adopted me as his daughter."
Tori smiled, and looked over her shoulder as the boy's returned from their shower.
"Aw, man, I haven't had that much mud in my eyes since I ran out of tear-offs last week," Dustin was saying, rubbing his eyes. His hair was still wet, and it looked silky and shiny in the afternoon sun.
"You guys, we're so sorry about your generator," Tori apologized.
"Aw, it's not your fault," Blake shrugged. "Things happen."
"How was the shower?"
"Uh, you could say it was refreshing," Shane said.
"But cold would be more accurate," Hunter added.
"Well, I know this doesn't exactly make it up to you," Hannah said, "but your burgers are on the grill, and your sodas cooling off in the stream."
"Sounds good to me," Blake grinned, opening the grill to inspect his sister's handiwork. He took a deep breath and his stomach growled in response. "You're forgiven."
Hannah smiled and nudged Tori.
"Hey, what's that?" Dustin asked, pointing at a sliver sparkle in the sky. It descended quickly and crashed into the earth somewhere near-by.
"Come on," Shane said, "let's check it out."
"Last time we intervened your school got sucked into space," Hannah called, "and we just nearly got trampled by Kelzaks!"
"Yeah, and I'm hungry," Dustin whined.
"Hannah, Dustin, come on!" Shane yelled, disappearing into the trees with Tori, Blake and Hunter.
Hannah and Dustin exchanged looks, sighed and chased after the others. When would they learn?
~*Lost Thunder Ninja*~
Shimazu and Vexacus laughed as the Rangers arrived not long after they had landed.
"I thought I smelled garbage," Hunter growled.
"Oh, we'll see who gets trashed," Vexacus replied.
"Hey, uh, no offense, but you two don't seem like the outdoor types," Shane pointed out.
"We're not. We just came to watch your ultimate demise," Vexacus said, clenching his hand into a fist.
"Don't you mean 'cause our ultimate demise'?" Tori asked.
"OK, I like your way better," Vexacus said, blasting them with an energy ball.
The Rangers jumped back to avoid being hit.
"Tori, next time," Hannah grumbled, "don't correct them."
"Man, just when you thought it was safe to have a day off," Shane grumbled. "Ready?"
"Ready."
"Ninja Storm, Ranger Form!"
"Thunder Storm, Ranger Form!"
"Ninja Ranger Power!"
While the Wind Ranger's attacked Vexacus, the Thunder Rangers' charged at Shimazu. Hopefully without the help of his wolfblades he would be an easy target, but the ancient clown proved to be more than a handful alone.
"Not this time!" Shimazu laughed as Blake caught him around the middle with his navy antlers. The ancient clown caught hold of both sides and prized them open, much to the disbelief of the Navy Ranger.
"Thunder staff - Tornado Star!" Hunter said, transforming his staff into a star and stepping in front of Blake after Shimazu had knocked him down. "Try this!" he swiped at Shimazu, unleashing a star of fire which hit the clown only to be bounced back.
"Thunder shield!" Hannah shouted, jumping over both her brother's and holding up her shield. The fire attack hit the amber protector and fizzled out.
Shimazu laughed as the Thunder siblings looked around.
"Where'd he go?" Hannah asked.
"I'm so close to victory, I can taste it!" Shimazu said, returning as a giant head and flicking his tongue out at the siblings. He then attacked them with lasers from his eyes.
"We're getting licked?" Hunter asked.
Reappearing, Shimazu regrouped with Vexacus as the Ranger's did the same.
"It seems you have met your match," Shimazu taunted.
"You are finished, Rangers!" Vexacus laughed. He took a step towards the team, only to be blasted back as Cam arrived.
"Cam!" Hannah laughed, happy to see the Samurai.
"I've picked up something on the radar heading this way," Cam informed the team.
"What? Worse than these two super freaks?" Shane asked, rushing forward and catching Cam by the shoulder.
"Yeah. Way worse," Cam confirmed.
"Hey Rangers, nobody's worse than we are," Vexacus called.
"I would have to agree," Shimazu nodded, jumping up and down.
"No one messes up my weekend!" Hunter growled, summoning his thunder blaster.
"Thunderstorm canon!"
"Ready?"
"Fire!"
The ball of energy flew at Vexacus and Shimazu, only to be blasted back at the Rangers, knocking them off of their feet.
"This is too easy," Shimazu laughed.
Suddenly the ground started to shake, and the Rangers looked up as a Megazord burst out of the ground behind them.
"What's that?" Shane asked.
"Well, if I had to take a guess," Hannah said, sarcastically. "I'd say it was a 30ft robot - we call them Megazords."
"Prepare to be destroyed!" Zurgane yelled from the cockpit.
"Aw, not again!" Dustin complained, subconsciously rubbing the bruises he had received from his last fight with Zurgane.
"Fight me if you dare!" Zurgane challenged.
"Haven't you had enough failure for one day?" Shimazu shouted.
"You're on, Zurgane!" Shane said, accepting the challenge.
"Yeah!" the others agreed. They summoned their Zords, and took off after the opposing Megazord.
Zurgane laughed, and fired an energy blast at the Rangers. He wasn't looking to harm this, only entice them into attacking so that he could put his plan into action.
"We haven't used this one in a while," Tori said, recovering quickly. She put her power disk in the gear beside her, and activated it.
"Star blazer!"
Multi-coloured stars attached themselves to Zurgane's Megazord and riddled him with power; the general grunted in response, but walked away unharmed.
"I got one for ya!" Cam said, taking a stand in front of the Wind Megazord. He inserted his power sphere into his console device, and summoned a bumblebee. He grabbed the handle and threw it at Zurgane, who simply swatted the bee aside with a flick of his hands.
"It's Hurricane Megazord time!" Blake said.
"Let's do it!" Shane nodded.
"Locked and Dropped!"
After the three Megazords had joined together, Hannah produced a power disk of her own. "This one never fails!" she said. "Locked and dropped - Scorpion Stinger!"
Zurgane grunted in frustration as his sparks swept through his Megazord after the Thunder Ranger's had injected his zords controls with toxin causing them to become paralyzed.
"You guy's ready to finish this?" Hunter asked. They may have had an unfair advantage over Zurgane, but he had initiated the attack and now had to pay the consequences.
"Oh, yeah," the other's nodded. "Initiating typhoon attack!"
The hurricane-like winds hit Zurgane's zords, destroying him instantly.
"Yeah!"
"Awesome, guys!"
"No more Zurgane!"
"Don't be so sure," Cam said, shaking his head. He was the only ranger not celebrating the defeat. "Zurgane's smart."
"But we trashed his zord," Hunter pointed out.
"Yeah, there's no way that Zord survived the scorpion toxin," Hannah agreed. She knew full well how dangerous Scorpion toxin was, which was she was sure that Zurgane hadn't survived his encounter with her scorpion stinger.
"And even if he did get out," Dustin added, "he's got nothing."
"Something doesn't feel right," Cam told them. "It was just too easy."
"You call that easy?" Blake asked.
"Go back to your campsite," Cam said. "I've got check something at Ninja Ops."
"Hannah and I'll come with you," Tori said. "We're over the whole camping thing."
Hannah shook her head and rolled her eyes.
"But it's not camping!" she exclaimed.
