AN: I wrote this for the battleships Challenge: A1!

I like writing Rose/Scorp because for me, Its just like a reversal of Dramione.

Rose leans her head on Scorpius' shoulder. He's very strong and lean from playing Quidditch. She looks up at him with wide, apple green eyes.

"Scorpius, I've been doing my homework all night. Can't I have just one break?"

"After you deciding that skipping Astronomy class yesterday was a good idea? Not a chance." He smiles.

Rose turns her head back down and rolls her eyes in annoyance. Scorpius never lets her have her fun. He's so worried about her marks, and future career.

"It was Roxanne, you know? She convinced me. The weather was glorious, and the Black Lake was almost looking blue." Rose sighs," it's no use staring at the sky when you can't touch it."

Scorpius nods. "Roxanne is a forced to be reckoned with, but you know she just follows Lucy around. Isn't your uncle getting a divorce?"

Rose nods, and her frown deepens. "Yes. Uncle Percy and Audrey have had many fights this year. I feel bad for Lucy."

"That doesn't mean you have to hang out with her, not if she's going to be a bad influence on you."

Scorpius reaches out to play with Rose's hair, which is flying in the autumn wind. Chilly, but perfect sweater weather. Rose turns her eyes back to connect with Scorpius' iceberg ones.

"I know. My parents are going to hate me for doing that," she covers her face with her hands. "Even I can feel your disappointment." her lifeless hands suddenly drop into her lap.

Scorpius frowns. "It's not disappointment."

Rose glares at him for lying.

"Okay. Fine, just a little bit." He chuckles. "I treat you like this, not out of disappointment, but because I know you can do great things. I know your potential, and you can do better."

Rose mulls over his words. After feeling the breeze on her face for a little while, she says, "You sound like my mother."

Scorpius laughs out loud. That wasn't what he was thinking at all.

"But, your mom doesn't want to do this."

Rose looks at his sly face, a smirk etched into his features. The sun shines on his pale skin, toning him like fine butter.

"Do what?"

"The reason why I care about your future so much is because, I see myself right there with you."

That was the most romantic thing she's ever heard anyone say to her. Sounds like something right out of her Mother's favorite Muggle movie. Which she may have watched a few times.

"That-that's so cute of you to say!" She leans over from her linear spot and plants a small kiss on his cheek.

Then she begins to get up,"Let's go play some Quidditch!"

Scorpius shakes his head, amused, "Nuh-uh, you aren't going anywhere, don't think a kiss and Quidditch invite will distract me."

Rose swears under her breath. She really thought that that would work.

"Scorp, thank you. I love you."
