I think I should let you know whats up on Court and that's why chapter 25 is in Lissa's POV.

LISSA

"Morning, Liss." Christian smiled when I looked out of the sheets. Instead of saying good morning back, I came closer and kissed him. It became more and more passionate but nothing more then that happened because we had to go. Stupid work.

On our way to the office I see how warm and clear the night sky is.

"Wait. What month is it?" Christian asked.

"April." I replied.

"Wow. It's the last month for Rose, isn't it?" he said. I nodded.

"I hate this. I wish I would be there for her." Christian knew how I felt and he took my hand.

On our way through the open hall a girl ran to me.

She looks seven or eight and her long black hair was dancing in the wind while she was running to me. She is daughter of some staff member probably.

"Hello, your Majesty." she said.

"Hi." I smiled.

"I made this for you." she handed me a beautiful bouquet with colorful flowers. This is one of the rare times that I have a chance to talk to the people who like me as a queen.

"Thank you so much." I said back. "Tell me... what is your name?" I kneeled lower so I could be down on her level.

"Lucy." she said.

"Well Lucy, I can tell you that this really made my day. Thank you." I said and took her hand.

She gave us a big smile and then left jumping down the path.

"We also have to pick the flowers and you still didn't make the list of people that are going to be invited." Mia said while I was putting flowers in the vase on my table. The Court is going to celebrate my one year of ruling.

"Don't pick only one tipe of flowers. Make it colorful. And I already told you... I'm not in the mood to plan a celebration. I have a lot to think about. Strigoi attacks, hunt for Robert Doru..."

"But Lissa, you don't have to be looking for Doru. You have people that are doing those things. All you have to do in the end is talk about it on meetings." Christian said.

"I want to." I say. "It has to happen soon, because it's Rose's last month. And I have to make sure that Rose is here before that happens."

"I doubt she'll be here in that time..." Mia said.

"What?" I don't know what she's saying.

"Rose hates her mother. I mean she hates her now after what happened... And her problems with Dimitri..."

"But I'm here. And she knows it's safe for her child here."

"Okay... but I still don't think she's coming back."

"Mia." Christian gave her a shut up look.

"What? I'm just being realistic..." she said.

No. Rose will come back to me. When Victor's brother is dead she will come here and we will be a family. Me, Rose with her baby and Christian and...

"Oh shit. She's not coming back." I realize.

"She's not coming back because of that jerk Dimitri and because of her mother... God knows if she will even continue to be a guardian." I stand up. "I'm still losing her."

"Mia... go." Christian said.

"I just wanted her to be prepared..."

"I know. Just go. We need to be alone." Christian said pointing at the door.

Mia apologized that she didn't want to upset me and went out.

"I can't take this... no. No more." I say and walk over the table with drinks. I pour myself a glass of water and drink it in a second. I feel like my body is going to burn.

"Lissa, calm down."

"Calm down? CALM?!" I throw glass in the wall. "How can I calm down, Christian please tell me... I can't take this any more... I'm going to..."

"Lissa calm down. You are having that moment again..."

"I'm going to give up the throne." I say. "This is too much for me. I'm 18 for Gods sake! I should be in college, doing fun stuff and be free for adventures with my best friend and my boyfriend."

"Liss.."

"No! That's what I'm going to do. Half of the moroi people don't want me to be the Queen. There are also other moroi that will be perfect for this job. But... this is too much for me... It took everything from me." I say brushing my hair from my face. I'm breathing heavily and I feel horrible, weak.

"No, it didn't take everything from you... I'm-"

"Yes... yes it did. Everything. Absolutely everything." I talk like a crazy person. "It took me the teenage life, it took me the freedom, my best friend, and you..." I look sadly at him.

"Lissa. I will be always there for you." he took my face in his hands.

"Yeah, but are we happy? Are we spending time together? Just the two of us?"

Sonya enters the room with pills. Guardians probably called her when they saw how I was acting.

"Hi, sweetie. Lets take this pill and sit over to the sofa." she said. I obeyed. I took a pill and laid on the sofa. Christian covered me with a blanked and I calmed down a bit.

"Queen, your presence is needed in offices." my guardian said.

"No. You will take a nap first." Sonya pushed me back in a laying pose.

"But maybe they have some news about Robert."

"I will go." Christian kissed me on the forehead and walked out oft he room. I wanted to wait for Christian to come back but sleep won. I closed my eyes only a few minutes after Christian went.

"I don't know what to do now." I hear someone whisper. It's Christian.

"I think that the best thing to do now is to be quiet about it. We don't want to upset her more."

"But she'll hate me if-"

"To tell me what?" I ask when I open my eyes.

"Umm..." Christian hesitates and looks at Sonya. "There are information about Doru."

"Really? Did they found him?" I sit up.

"They say that he has to be somewhere in Europe or Asia ..."

"That means Russia too." I freak out. "What if he already..."

"No. We also got an information that Rose is... fine..." I see how he's hiding something away from me. That's why I give him a look. "...now." he finishes his sentence.

"Rose is fine now? Christian, what happened to her?" I see Christian giving Sonya another look. "Christian if you don't tell me what happened, I swear that we're done."

Now Christian gave me a horrified look with his mouth open telling me 'are you serious' without actually saying anything. But I know that will make him speak.

"Rose had a big fight with Dimitri... and she fainted."

"What?! That Russian piece of... oh, I'm going to kill him!" I burst.

"No. Lissa just breathe..." Sonya said. I come closer to her and put my hands on her shoulders.

"I will start breathing again on that plane to Russia."

And that's how it was. I insisted to go to Russia to see Rose. I have to be there for her. And Dimitri... Oh, he's going to hear from me.

Sonya didn't want me to go, that's why I made her go with me. And Christian. Five more guardians are on the plane with me. I can't wait to see my Rose.

I miss her so much.
